As an indispensable process in the microencapsulation of active substances, emulsion preparation has a significant impact on microencapsulated products. In this study, five primary emulsions of paprika oleoresin (PO, the natural colourant extracted from the fruit peel of Capsicum annuum L.) with different particle sizes (255–901.7 nm) were prepared using three industrialized pulverization-inducing techniques (stirring, ultrasound induction, and high-pressure homogenization). Subsequently, the PO emulsion was microencapsulated via spray drying. The effects of the different induction methods on the physicochemical properties, digestive behaviour, antioxidant activity, and storage stability of PO microencapsulated powder were investigated. The results showed that ultrasound and high-pressure homogenization induction could improve the encapsulation efficiency, solubility, and rehydration capacity of the microcapsules. In vitro digestion studies showed that ultrasound and high-pressure homogenization induction significantly increased the apparent solubility and dissolution of the microcapsules. High-pressure homogenization induction significantly improved the antioxidant capacity of the microcapsules, while high-intensity ultrasound (600 W) induction slowed down the degradation of the microcapsule fats and oils under short-term UV and long-term natural light exposure. Our study showed that ultrasound and high-pressure homogenization equipment could successfully be used to prepare emulsions containing nanoscale capsicum oil resin particles, improve their functional properties, and enhance the oral bioavailability of this bioactive product. To further evaluate the causal relationships between inflammatory cytokines and migraine, we conducted a bidirectional, two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis using genetic data from publicly available genome-wide association studies (GWAS). We used several MR methods, including random-effect inverse-variance weighting (IVW), weighted median, MR-Egger, to test the causal relationships. Sensitivity analyses were also conducted to evaluate the robustness of the results. The results showed that hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) was positively associated with the risk of migraine (odds ratio [OR], 1.004; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.001–1.008; P = 0.022). In addition, Interleukin-2 (IL-2) was considered a downstream consequence of migraine (OR, 0.012; 95% CI, 0.000–0.0929; P = 0.046). These findings suggest that HGF may be a factor associated with the etiology of migraine, while IL-2 is more likely to be involved in the downstream development of migraine. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Highlights: Continuous-wave green vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers based on self-formed quantum dots were realized with the lowest threshold current density of 51.97 A cm−2. A short cavity (~4.0 λ, where λ is the wavelength in the media) was adopted to enhance the interaction between spontaneous emission and lasing mode, with a big coupling factor up to 0.094. AlN current confinement layer and the electroplated supporting copper plate were utilized to improve heat dissipation, with a low thermal resistance of 842 K W−1. Room temperature low threshold lasing of green GaN-based vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL) was demonstrated under continuous wave (CW) operation. By using self-formed InGaN quantum dots (QDs) as the active region, the VCSEL emitting at 524.0 nm has a threshold current density of 51.97 A cm−2, the lowest ever reported. The QD epitaxial wafer featured with a high IQE of 69.94% and the δ-function-like density of states plays an important role in achieving low threshold current. Besides, a short cavity of the device (~ 4.0 λ) is vital to enhance the spontaneous emission coupling factor to 0.094, increase the gain coefficient factor, and decrease the optical loss. To improve heat dissipation, AlN layer was used as the current confinement layer and electroplated copper plate was used to replace metal bonding. Cluster separation is required to perform multi-class visual statistics tasks and plays an essential role in information processing in visualization. This cognition behavioral study investigated the cluster separation task and the effects of visual complexity and task difficulty. A total of 32 college students (18 men and 14 women, with ages ranging from 18 to 25 years; mean = 21.2, SD = 3.9) participated in this study. The observers' average response accuracy, reaction time, mental effort, and comprehensive cognitive efficiency were measured as functions of three levels of visual complexity and task difficulty. The levels of visual complexity and task difficulty were quantified via an optimized complexity evaluation method and discrimination judgment task, respectively. The results showed that visual complexity and task difficulty significantly influenced comprehensive cognitive efficiency. Moreover, a strong interaction was observed between the effects of visual complexity and task difficulty. However, there was no positive linear relationship between the mental effort and the complexity level. Furthermore, two-dimensional color × shape redundant coding showed higher cognitive efficiency at low task difficulty levels. In contrast, the one-dimensional color encoding approach showed higher cognitive efficiency at increased task difficulty levels. Tungsten trioxide (WO 3) is a classical electrochromic (EC) material with advantages of abundant reserves, high coloration efficiency and cyclic stability. However, WO 3 films are often accompanied by a narrow spectrum of modulation due to a single-color change from transparent to blue. In this work, we report a wide-spectrum tunable WO 3 ·H 2 O nanosheets EC film solvothermally grown on fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) glass. Interestingly, the crystalline WO 3 ·H 2 O nanosheets film is transformed into amorphous WO 3 after annealing at 250 °C for 1 h. The amorphous film can be transformed into crystalline WO 3 film by increasing the annealing temperature to 450 °C. After annealing at 250 °C, the WO 3 film exhibits an optical modulation of 75.8% in a broad solar spectrum range of 380–1400 nm and blocks 88.9% of solar irradiance. Fast switching responses of 4.9 s for coloration and 6.0 s for bleaching, and a coloration efficiency of 86.4 cm2 C−1 are also achieved. Additionally, the WO 3 film annealed at 250 °C also demonstrates an excellent cyclic stability, where 99.6% of the initial optical modulation can be retained after 1500 cycles. 2D cell culture occupies an important place in cancer progression and drug discovery research. However, it limitedly models the "true biology" of tumors in vivo. 3D tumor culture systems can better mimic tumor characteristics for anticancer drug discovery but still maintain great challenges. Herein, polydopamine (PDA)‐modified decellularized lung scaffolds are designed and can serve as a functional biosystem to study tumor progression and anticancer drug screening, as well as mimic the tumor microenvironment. PDA‐modified scaffolds with strong hydrophilicity and excellent cell compatibility can promote cell growth and proliferation. After 96 h treatment with 5‐FU, cisplatin, and DOX, higher survival rates in PDA‐modified scaffolds are observed compared to nonmodified scaffolds and 2D systems. The E‐cadhesion formation, HIF‐1α‐mediated senescence decrease, and tumor stemness enhancement can drive drug resistance and antitumor drug screening of breast cancer cells. Moreover, there is a higher survival rate of CD45+/CD3+/CD4+/CD8+ T cells in PDA‐modified scaffolds for potential cancer immunotherapy drug screening. Anthracnose is a common disease found in Camellia oleifera producing areas across China, whose primary pathogen is Colletotrichum fructicola. We previously revealed that autophagy is essential for the pathogenicity of C. fructicola. However, the function of ubiquitin–proteasome system (UPS), which is a parallel protein degradation pathway to autophagy, remains elusive. Here, we report that CfRad6, an E2 conjugating enzyme in UPS, interacts with three putative E3 ubiquitin ligases, namely CfRad18, CfUbr1, and CfBre1. Importantly, we presented evidence showing that CfRad6 negatively regulates autophagy, revealing the first link between UPS and autophagy in pathogenic fungi. Targeted gene deletion showed that CfRad6 is involved in growth and conidiation. We further found that the ΔCfrad6 mutant is defective in appressoria formation and responses to environmental stresses. These combined effects, along with the abnormal autophagy level, lead to the pathogenicity defects of the ΔCfrad6 mutant. In this paper, based on the finite element method, the stresses of the radius and ulna are analyzed at different flexion angles of the elbow when playing tennis. The finite element model is presented for the elbow position with flexion angles of 0°, 25°, 60°, and 80° according to the normal human arm bone. In this model, the whole arm with metacarpals, radius, ulna, humerus and scapula is considered. The calculation is simplified by setting the scapula and metacarpals as rigid bodies and using Tie binding constraints between the humerus and the radius and ulna. This model is discretized using the 10-node second-order tetrahedral element (C3D10). This model contains 109,765 nodes and 68,075 elements. The hitting forces applied to the metacarpal bone are 100 N and 300 N, respectively. The numerical results show that the highest principal stresses are at the points of 1/4 of the radius, the elbow joint, and the points of 1/10 of the ulna. The results of the maximum principal stress show that the external pressures are more pronounced as the elbow flexion angle increases and that the magnitude of the hitting force does not affect the principal stress distribution pattern. Elbow injuries to the radius can be reduced by using a stroke with less elbow flexion, and it is advisable to wear a reinforced arm cuff on the dorsal 1/4 of the hand, a radial/dorsal hand wrist, and an elbow guard to prevent radial ulnar injuries. The discrete element method is used to study the dissipation behavior of the granular balls in a rotating closed cylinder under the Earth gravity environment, and five kinds of particle motion forms with different dissipation characteristics are obtained. These phases are slumping, rolling, cascading, cataracting and centrifuging. Combined with the simulation of the dissipation behavior of the granular system under the Mars and Moon environment, the universality and the mechanism of the high dissipation effect of the cataracting phase is studied. In addition, based on the dissipation behavior of the granular balls in the rotating closed cylinder, the optimization design of the autogenous mill lifter is studied, and finally a design method of the structure parameters of the autogenous mill based on the material dissipation behavior is proposed. The High Resolution Picture Transmission (HRPT) data of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) series meteorological satellites had been received by the SeaSpace ground station located at the Ocean University of China (OUC). Based on the atmospheric radiative transfer model, we obtained the NOAA-15/16/17/18/19 Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) sea surface skin temperature (SSTskin) data using the Bayesian cloud detection method and the optimal estimation (OE) sea surface temperature (SST) retrieval algorithm. Compared with the NOAA/AVHRR multi-channel SST data, the AVHRR SSTskin data have higher data accuracy. We also compared the AVHRR SSTskin with the buoy SST with spatial and temporal windows of 0.01° and 30 min. The daytime biases ranged from −0.32 °C (NOAA-16) to 0.08 °C (NOAA-17) with standard deviations (SDs) ranging from 0.36 °C (NOAA-18/ NOAA-19) to 0.60 °C (NOAA-16), and the nighttime biases ranged from −0.26 °C (NOAA-16) to −0.02 °C (NOAA-17) with SDs ranging from 0.33 °C (NOAA-19) to 0.60 °C (NOAA-16). The accuracy of all five satellite data during daytime and nighttime was significantly improved. These results show that the AVHRR SSTskin of NOAA series satellites is good and consistent in different periods, and the SSTskin data products with high spatial resolution and accuracy can be used for mesoscale and submesoscale marine applications. This study aimed to explore the effects of SARS-CoV-2 inactivated vaccine on the outcome of frozen embryo transfer (FET).Methods: We grouped patients who underwent FET between August 2021 and March 2022 based on their vaccination status, number of doses, and the interval between the last dose and the FET, and then compared the differences in pregnancy outcomes among the groups.Results: There were 1084 vaccinated patients and 1228 non-vaccinated ones. There were significant differences in the live birth rate between the vaccination and non-vaccination groups (16.61% vs 28.26%), among the one-dose, two-dose, and three-dose groups (22.28% vs 19.51% vs 7.27%), and among the groups with interval ≤ 1 month, 1– 2 months, and ≥ 2 months (38.38% vs 27.27% vs 12.03%). There were significant differences in the persistent pregnancy rate between the vaccination and non-vaccination groups (22.88% vs 14.09%), among the one-dose, two-dose, and three-dose groups (14.51% vs 23.80% vs 38.18%), and among the groups with interval ≤ 1 month, 1– 2 months, and ≥ 2 months (1.01% vs 8.44% vs 28.16%). There were significant differences in the neonatal weight between the vaccination and non-vaccination groups [3805.50 (3746.00– 3863.50) vs 2970.00 (2500.00– 3400.00)]. There were significant differences in the premature birth rate among the one-dose, two-dose, and three-dose groups (23.26% vs 34.59% vs 100.00%), and among the groups with interval ≤ 1 month, 1– 2 months, and ≥ 2 months (15.79% vs 21.43% vs 37.00%).Conclusion: Pregnancy outcomes were not affected by taking the SARS-CoV-2 inactivated vaccine before FET, the number of doses, and the interval between doses. These findings provide evidence supporting the safety of administering the SARS-CoV-2 inactivated vaccine during pregnancy, which can be used as a guide for vaccinating patients undergoing ART. A systemic and local inflammatory immune imbalance is thought to be the cause of traumatic tracheal stenosis (TS). However, with CD4+ T lymphocytes being the predominant immune cells in TS, the mechanism of action and recruitment has not been described. In our research, using flow cytometry, ELISA, immunofluorescence, and Transwell chamber assays, the expression, distribution, and potential chemotactic function of CD4+ T cells in TS patients were examined before and after treatment. The results showed that the untreated group had significantly more CD4+ T cells and their secreted TGF‐β1 than the treated group. Additionally, the untreated group's CD4+ T cells showed a significant rise in CCL22 and CCL1, as well as a larger proportion of CCR4 and CCR8. CD4+ T cells and CD68+ macrophages located in TS also expressed CCL1 and CCL22. In vitro, anti‐CCL1 and anti‐CCL22 can partially block the chemoattractant effect of TS bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) on purified CD4+ T cells. The findings of this study indicated that TS contained unbalanced CD4 immune cells that were actively recruited locally by CCR4/CCL22 and CCR8/CCL1. Government policy constraints and the green credit support of banks have played an indispensable role in promoting the development of the new energy vehicle (NEV) industry. To study the relationship between the government, the banks, and automobile manufacturers in the post-subsidy era and to promote the development of the NEV industry in China, we constructed a tripartite evolutionary game model for the government, the banks, and automobile manufacturers during the subsidy decline, analyzed the evolutionary process of the system, and used MATLAB to simulate the evolutionary stable strategies (ESSs) and the sensitivity of related parameters. The results demonstrate the following: (1) There are five possible evolutionary equilibrium points in the early, middle, and late stages of the NEV industry; (2) with the increase in the phase-out rates and the transaction prices of NEV points, the government is more inclined to low subsidies, the banks are more inclined to implement green credit, and enterprises are more inclined to produce NEVs; (3) there is a threshold for the impact of government incentives on the evolutionary results of the government and the banks, beyond which the evolutionary process of the government and the banks will be unstable; (4) with the increase in financing costs saved by green credit, the government is more inclined to low subsidies and enterprises are more inclined to produce NEVs, while changes in financing costs have less impact on the strategies of banks. Microglia-mediated neuroinflammation is involved in various neurological diseases, including ischemic stroke, but the endogenous mechanisms preventing unstrained inflammation is still unclear. The anti-inflammatory role of transcription factor nuclear receptor subfamily 4 group A member 1 (NR4A1) in macrophages and microglia has previously been identified. However, the endogenous mechanisms that how NR4A1 restricts unstrained inflammation remain elusive. Here, we observed that NR4A1 is up-regulated in the cytoplasm of activated microglia and localizes to processing bodies (P-bodies). In addition, we found that cytoplasmic NR4A1 functions as an RNA-binding protein (RBP) that directly binds and destabilizes Tnf mRNA in an N6-methyladenosine (m6A)-dependent manner. Remarkably, conditional microglial deletion of Nr4a1 elevates Tnf expression and worsens outcomes in a mouse model of ischemic stroke, in which case NR4A1 expression is significantly induced in the cytoplasm of microglia. Thus, our study illustrates a novel mechanism that NR4A1 posttranscriptionally regulates Tnf expression in microglia and determines stroke outcomes. The disordered expression of ZNF143 is closely related to the malignant progression of tumours. However, the basic control mechanism of ZNF143 in glioma has not yet been clarified. Therefore, we tried to find a new pathway to illustrate the function of ZNF143 in glioma. To explore the function of KPNA2 in the development of glioma, we used survival analysis by the Kaplan‒Meier method to assess the overall survival (OS) of patients with low and high KPNA2 expression in the TCGA and CGGA cohorts. Western blotting assays and RT‒PCR assays were utilized to determine the expression level of KPNA2 in glioma cells. The interaction between ZNF143 and KPNA2 was confirmed by ChIP assays. Proliferation was assessed by CCK-8 assays, and migration was evaluated by wound healing and Transwell assays. Apoptosis was determined by flow cytometry, and the expression level of YAP/TAZ was visualized using an immunofluorescence assay. The expression levels of LATS1, LATS2, YAP1, and p-YAP1 were determined. Patients with low KPNA2 expression showed a better prognosis than those with high KPNA2 expression. KPNA2 was found to be upregulated in human glioma cells. ZNF143 can bind to the promoter region of KPNA2. Downregulation of ZNF143 and KPNA2 can activate the Hippo signalling pathway and reduce YAP/TAZ expression in human glioma cells, thus inducing apoptosis of human glioma cells and weakening their proliferation, migration and invasion. Plate-based proteomic sample preparation offers a solution to the large sample throughput demands in the biotechnology field where hundreds or thousands of engineered microbes are constructed for testing is routine. Meanwhile, sample preparation methods that work efficiently on broader microbial groups are desirable for new applications of proteomics in other fields, such as microbial communities. Here, we detail a step-by-step protocol that consists of cell lysis in an alkaline chemical buffer (NaOH/SDS) followed by protein precipitation with high-ionic strength acetone in 96-well format. The protocol works for a broad range of microbes (e.g., Gram-negative bacteria, Gram-positive bacteria, non-filamentous fungi) and the resulting proteins are ready for tryptic digestion for bottom-up quantitative proteomic analysis without the need for desalting column cleanup. The yield of protein using this protocol increases linearly with respect to the amount of starting biomass from 0.5–2.0 OD*mL of cells. By using a bench-top automated liquid dispenser, a cost-effective and environmentally-friendly option to eliminating pipette tips and reducing reagent waste, the protocol takes approximately 30 minutes to extract protein from 96 samples. Tests on mock mixtures showed expected results that the biomass composition structure is in close agreement with the experimental design. Lastly, we applied the protocol for the composition analysis of a synthetic community of environmental isolates grown on two different media. IL-1β mediates inflammation and regulates immune responses, cell proliferation, and differentiation. Dysregulation of IL-1β is linked to inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. Elevated IL-1β levels are found in patients with severe COVID-19, indicating its excessive production may worsen the disease. Also, dry eye disease patients show high IL-1β levels in tears and conjunctival epithelium. Therefore, IL-1β signaling is a potential therapeutic targeting for COVID-19 and aforementioned diseases. No small-molecule IL-1β inhibitor is clinically approved despite efforts. Developing such inhibitors is highly desirable. Herein, a docking-based strategy was used to screen the TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) database to identify possible IL-1β inhibitors with desirable pharmacological characteristics by targeting the IL-1β/IL-1R interface. Primarily, the docking-based screening was performed by selecting the crucial residues of IL-1β interface to retrieve the potential compounds. Afterwards, the compounds were shortlisted on the basis of binding scores and significant interactions with the crucial residues of IL-1β. Further, to gain insights into the dynamic behavior of the protein–ligand interactions, MD simulations were performed. The analysis suggests that four selected compounds were stabilized in an IL-1β pocket, possibly blocking the formation of an IL-1β/IL-1R complex. Paleoproterozoic banded iron formation (BIF) iron ore of the Zhengjiapo region of the Changyi metallogenic belt, Eastern Block of North China Craton contains abundant coexisting antiperthite and mesoperthite textures. The antiperthite and mesoperthite occur in felsic domains of the Zhengjiapo BIF ore and enable derivation of peak temperature metamorphic conditions. Thermodynamic phase modeling shows that equilibrium conditions of corresponding textures, considering the related mineral assemblage of Pl + Qz + Kfs + Mag + Opx + L, are in the range of 870–940 °C and 5.0–6.8 kbar. Ternary feldspar thermometry using reintegrated compositions of antiperthite and mesoperthite in the felsic domain of the studied BIF iron ore reveals even higher peak metamorphic temperatures of 1045–1080 °C. The ultra-high temperature–low pressure conditions of Precambrian BIF have not yet been reported from the North China Craton. The documented ultra-high temperature metamorphism of the Zhengjiapo BIF iron ore in the Changyi metallogenic belt indicates that the BIF was involved in the collision-related tectonic process during Paleoproterozoic to have occurred in the Jiao-Liao-Ji orogenic belt. For GaN-based vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs), a suitable current confinement layer is essential for high-performance devices. The effect of different current confinement layers, including SiO2, AlN, and diamond, on the performance of GaN-based VCSELs was compared through simulation. The devices' heat dissipation and current confinement characteristics were analyzed based on the electro-opto-thermal model. Considering thermal management, the diamond was a better candidate under high injected current. Benefiting from the excellent heat dissipation, the device with diamond shows a significant improvement in output power and the thermal roll-over current. The rapid, accurate estimation of leaf nitrogen content (LNC) and plant nitrogen content (PNC) in cotton in a non-destructive way is of great significance to the nutrient management of cotton fields. The RGB images of cotton fields in Shihezi (China) were obtained by using a low-cost unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with a visible-light digital camera. Combined with the data of LNC and PNC in different growth stages, the correlation between N content and visible light vegetation indices (VIs) was analyzed, and then the Random Forest (RF), Support Vector Machine (SVM), Back Propagation Neural Network (BP), and stepwise multiple linear regression (SMLR) were used to develop N content estimation models at different growth stages. The accuracy of the estimation model was assessed by coefficient of determination (R2), root mean squared error (RMSE), and relative root mean square error (rRMSE), so as to determine the optimal estimated growth stage and the best model. The results showed that the correlation between VIs and LNC was stronger than that between PNC, and the estimation accuracy of different models decreased continuously with the development of growth stages, with higher estimation accuracy in the peak squaring stage. Among the four algorithms, the best accuracy (R2 = 0.9001, RMSE = 1.2309, rRMSE = 2.46% for model establishment, and R2 = 0.8782, RMSE = 1.3877, rRMSE = 2.82% for model validation) was obtained when applying RF at the peak squaring stage. To investigate the relationship between the personality traits, emotional stability and mental health state of students in vocational and technical colleges of art under epidemic prevention and control based on latent trait–state theory.Methods: Using the stratified sampling method, we selected 1569 students in vocational and technical colleges of art as research subjects. From 1 April 2022 to 5 April 2022, we conducted an online survey using the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (Adult Edition) (EPQA), Emotional Stability Self-Test Scale and University Personality Inventory (UPI) to analyse the relationship between the traits, emotional stability and mental health of students in vocational and technical colleges of art.Results: For the EPQA personality traits, boys had lower extraversion and introversion scores than girls (47.71 ± 11.23 vs 49.06 ± 10.74, p = 0.021). In terms of mental health, boys had lower scores than girls (12.20 ± 12.73 vs 14.64 ± 11.85, p< 0.001). There were significant grade differences in psychoticism and total mental health scores in terms of EPQA personality traits (P < 0.01). There were significant associations between all dimensions of personality traits, emotional stability and mental health (r = 0.68, 0.62, p < 0.01). Emotional stability plays a partial mediating role in the effects of neuroticism on mental health.Conclusion: There is a close relationship between personality traits, emotional stability and mental health. Under the condition of epidemic prevention and control, strengthening the management of the self-emotional stability of students in vocational and technical colleges of art is helpful in improving students' mental health. Named entity identification is an important step in building a knowledge graph of the grid domain, which contains a certain number of nested entities. To address the issue of nested entities in the Chinese power dispatching domain's named entity recognition, we propose a RoBERTa-Attention-FL model. This model effectively recognizes nested entities using the span representation annotation method. We extract the output values from RoBERTa's middle 4–10 layers, obtain syntactic information from the Transformer Encoder layers via the multi-head self-attention mechanism, and integrate it with deep semantic information output from RoBERTa's last layer. During training, we use Focal Loss to mitigate the sample imbalance problem. To evaluate the model's performance, we construct named entity recognition datasets for flat and nested entities in the power dispatching domain annotated with actual power operation data, and conduct experiments. The results indicate that compared to the baseline model, the RoBERTa-Attention-FL model significantly improves recognition performance, increasing the F1-score by 4.28% to 90.35%, with an accuracy rate of 92.53% and a recall rate of 88.12%. In the present study, two effective methods, the Exp-function method and He's frequency formulation, are employed to investigate the dynamic behaviors of the (3+1)-dimensional Boiti–Leon–Manna–Pempinelli equation, which is used widely to describe the incompressible fluid. A variety of the wave structures, including the dark wave, bright-dark wave and periodic wave solutions, are successfully constructed. Compared with the results attained by the methods, the obtained solutions are all new and have not been presented in the other literature. The diverse wave structures of the solutions are presented through numerical results in the form of three-dimensional plots and two-dimensional curves. Introduction: Invasive pulmonary aspergillosis (IPA) is a common infection in intensive care units (ICUs). There are no consensus criteria for defining IPA in the ICU. We aimed to compare the diagnosis and prognosis performances of three criteria (the 2020 EORTC/MSG criteria, the 2021 EORTC/MSG ICU criteria, the modified AspICU criteria (M-AspICU)) for IPA in the ICU. Methods: In this retrospective study from our single center, we applied the three different criteria for IPA in patients with suspected pneumonia and undergoing at least one mycological test between November 10, 2016 and November 10, 2021. We compared the diagnosis agreement and prognosis performances of these three criteria in the ICU. Results: Overall, 2403 patients were included. The rates of IPA according to the 2020 EORTC/MSG, 2021 EORTC/MSG ICU, and M-AspICU were 3.37%, 6.53%, and 23.10%, respectively. Diagnostic agreement among these criteria was poor (Cohen's kappa 0.208–0.666). IPA diagnosed by either the 2020 EORTC/MSG (odds ratio = 2.709, P < 0.001) or the 2021 EORTC/MSG ICU (odds ratio = 2.086, P = 0.001) criteria was independently associated with 28-day mortality. IPA diagnosed by M-AspICU is an independent risk factor of 28-day mortality (odds ratio = 1.431, P = 0.031) when excluding patients who fulfilled neither host criteria nor radiological factors of 2021 EORTC/MSG ICU. Conclusions: Although M-AspICU criteria have the highest "sensitivity", IPA diagnosed by M-AspICU was not an independent risk factor of 28-day mortality. Background: Tissue oxygen saturation (StO2) decrease could appear earlier than lactate alteration. However, the correlation between StO2 and lactate clearance was unknown. Methods: This was a prospective observational study. All consecutive patients with circulatory shock and lactate over 3 mmol/L were included. Based on the rule of nines, a BSA (body surface area) weighted StO2 was calculated from four sites of StO2 (masseter, deltoid, thenar and knee). The formulation was as follows: masseter StO2 × 9% + (deltoid StO2 + thenar StO2) × (18% + 27%)/ 2 + knee StO2 × 46%. Vital signs, blood lactate, arterial and central venous blood gas were measured simultaneously within 48 h of ICU admission. The predictive value of BSA-weighted StO2 on 6-hour lactate clearance > 10% since StO2 initially monitored was assessed. Results: A total of 34 patients were included, of whom 19 (55.9%) had a lactate clearance higher than 10%. The mean SOFA score was lower in cLac ≥ 10% group compared with cLac < 10% group (11 ± 3 vs. 15 ± 4, p = 0.007). Other baseline characteristics were comparable between groups. Compared to non-clearance group, StO2 in deltoid, thenar and knee were significantly higher in clearance group. The area under the receiver operating curves (AUROC) of BSA-weighted StO2 for prediction of lactate clearance (0.92, 95% CI [Confidence Interval] 0.82-1.00) was significantly higher than StO2 of masseter (0.65, 95% CI 0.45–0.84; p < 0.01), deltoid (0.77, 95% CI 0.60–0.94; p = 0.04), thenar (0.72, 95% CI 0.55–0.90; p = 0.01), and similar to knee (0.87, 0.73-1.00; p = 0.40), mean StO2 (0.85, 0.73–0.98; p = 0.09). Additionally, BSA-weighted StO2 model had continuous net reclassification improvement (NRI) over the knee StO2 and mean StO2 model (continuous NRI 48.1% and 90.2%, respectively). The AUROC of BSA-weighted StO2 was 0.91(95% CI 0.75-1.0) adjusted by mean arterial pressure and norepinephrine dose. Intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD)‐induced lower back pain (LBP) is a common problem worldwide. The underlying mechanism is partially accredited to ferroptosis, based on sequencing analyses of IVDD patients from the gene expression omnibus (GEO) databases. In this study, it is shown that polydopamine nanoparticles (PDA NPs) inhibit oxidative stress‐induced ferroptosis in nucleus pulposus (NP) cells in vitro. PDA NPs scavenge reactive oxygen species (ROS), chelate Fe2+ to mitigate iron overload, and regulate the expression of iron storage proteins such as ferritin heavy chain (FHC), ferritin, and transferrin receptor (TFR). More importantly, PDA NPs co‐localize with glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) around the mitochondria and suppress ubiquitin‐mediated degradation, which in turn exerts a protective function via the transformation and clearance of phospholipid hydroperoxides. PDA NPs further down‐regulate malondialdehyde (MDA) and lipid peroxide (LPO) production; thus, antagonizing ferroptosis in NP cells. Moreover, PDA NPs effectively rescue puncture‐induced degeneration in vivo by targeting ferroptosis and inhibiting GPX4 ubiquitination, resulting in the upregulation of antioxidant pathways. Voice assistants (VA) have become prevalent on a wide range of personal devices such as smartphones and smart speakers. As companies build voice assistants with extra functionalities, attacks that trick a voice assistant into performing malicious behaviors can pose a significant threat to a user's security, privacy, and even safety. However, the diverse attacks and stand-alone defenses in the literature often lack a systematic perspective, making it challenging for designers to properly identify, understand, and mitigate the security threats against voice assistants. To overcome this problem, this article provides a thorough survey of the attacks and countermeasures for voice assistants. We systematize a broad category of relevant but seemingly unrelated attacks by the vulnerable system components and attack methods, and categorize existing countermeasures based on the defensive strategies from a system designer's perspective. To assist designers in planning defense based on their demands, we provide a qualitative comparison of existing countermeasures by the implementation cost, usability, and security and propose practical suggestions. The rapid and accurate detection of alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) levels is of great significance for the diagnosis and later treatment evaluation of liver cancer. In this study, a novel integrated quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) immunosensor based on the design to contact liquids on one side only was developed for the label-free detection of AFP. Anti-AFP mouse monoclonal antibodies were immobilized onto the upper electrode surface of the pre-treatment crystals using the staphylococcus aureus protein A. The AFP antigens in human serum were captured by specific surface-coated antibodies, and testing was carried out by monitoring the corresponding changes in frequency. The concentration range of the antigen detected was 13–760 ng/mL. The frequency characteristics of the process of antibody immobilization were investigated in detail, and high reproducibility of AFP antibody immobilization was achieved (standard deviation (SD) = 2.2 Hz). The developed QCM measurement system demonstrated a short test time (only 30 min), good reproducibility (the biological activity can still maintain more than 90% of the first test till it is reused five times), and accuracy as good as the one achieved with the radioimmunoassay (the maximum relative deviation = 4.8%). The designed QCM test system can easily and quickly detect AFP concentrations up to 760 ng/mL, indicating that the developed QCM assay is likely to lead to an alternative approach in large-scale screening for liver cancer in the near future. Objective: Polo‐like kinase 1 (PLK1), a serine/threonine‐protein kinase, functions as a potent oncogene in the initiation and progression of tumor. The aim of this study is to assess potential correlations between PLK1 expression and immune infiltration in breast cancer (BRCA) and construct a PLK1‐based immune risk model applicable for prognosis and treatment response prediction in BRCA. Methods: We collected data on PLK1 gene expression in BRCA patients from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. Thereafter, we analyzed the associations of PLK1 expression with immune cell infiltration and immunomodulators, and established a prognostic risk model based on seven PLK1‐associated immunomodulator genes and a nomogram for survival prediction. Results: BRCA prognosis, clinical stage progression, and tumor classification were all shown to be substantially correlated with PLK1 expression. The PLK1 gene was significantly enriched in T cell and B cell receptors and molecules of the chemokine signaling pathways. Specifically, PLK1 expression was positively correlated with the CD8+ T cell and regulatory T cell (Tregs) activation and negatively correlated with M2 macrophage infiltration. The seven‐genes‐based risk model could serve as an independent prognostic factor of BRCA. The risk model was markedly correlated with the expression of programmed cell death protein 1/programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD‐1/PD‐L1; both p < 0.001) immune checkpoints, and tumor mutation burden (TMB). High‐ and low‐risk BRCA patients identified by the risk model responded differently to anti‐PD‐1 and/or anti‐CTLA4 therapy, as well as common chemotherapy drugs, like cisplatin, paclitaxel, and gemcitabine. Conclusion: This PLK1‐based immune risk model can effectively predict the prognosis and tumor progression of BRCA, identify gene mutations, and evaluate patient's response toward immunotherapy and chemotherapy regimens. Camellia oleifera is the native economic edible oil tree in China and anthracnose occurs commonly in its producing areas. We previously found that ubiquitin-like CfAtg8-related autophagy is essential for the pathogenicity of Colletotrichum fructicola, the major pathogen of anthracnose on C. oleifera. The aim of this study is to further elucidate the roles of autophagy in the pathogenesis of C. fructicola. Based on BLAST_P analysis and reverse genetics, we identified the central hub of another ubiquitin-like system, CfAtg5, and characterized its functions in C. fructicola. As suspected, we found that CfAtg5 is required for autophagy, both in MM-N and H2O2 induction conditions. Targeted gene deletion of CfATG5 revealed that CfAtg5 is involved in growth and conidiation. We further found that the ∆Cfatg5 mutant is defective in appressorium formation and in responses to cell wall integrity and oxidative stresses. The combined effects, together with the abolished autophagy, result in the pathogenicity defects of the ∆Cfatg5 mutant. Our study further illustrates the importance of normal autophagy in the physiology and pathogenicity of C. fructicola, and offers a potential target in the development of new anthracnose control strategies. Peritoneal dialysis (PD) serves as a vital renal replacement therapy for patients with end-stage kidney disease (ESKD). γ-Gamma-glutamyl transferase (γ-GGT) is a recognized predictor of oxidative stress and mortality. This study aimed to assess the prognostic significance of γ-GGT in predicting all-cause and cardiovascular mortality among PD patients. A retrospective study was conducted, enrolling 640 PD patients from a single center. The one-year, three-year, and five-year mortality rates for all causes and cardiovascular causes were evaluated. Kaplan–Meier survival analysis and multivariate Cox regression analysis were performed. Within five years of initiating PD, the observed all-cause mortality rates at one, three, and five years were 11.72%, 16.09%, and 23.44%, while cardiovascular mortality rates were 2.97%, 7.34%, and 11.09%, respectively. Lower γ-GGT levels were associated with decreased all-cause mortality during one-, three-, and five-year follow-ups, along with reduced cardiovascular mortality in the first and third years, as indicated by Kaplan–Meier analysis on median γ-GGT groupings. Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed significantly decreased hazard ratios (HRs) for one- to five-year all-cause mortality and cardiovascular mortality in the lower γ-GGT group compared to higher groups. However, when sex differences were eliminated using separate tertile groupings for males and females, only the one- and three-year all-cause mortality rates demonstrated significantly reduced hazard ratios (HRs) in the lower γ-GGT groups. This retrospective study suggests that γ-GGT levels have prognostic significance in predicting one- and three-year all-cause mortality among PD patients when accounting for sex differences. Smart services are expected to solve the dilemma of development and emission reduction, but there is still no conclusive evidence on whether and how they work. This article aims to explore the relationship between smart services and sustainable green transformation and the effect mechanism. To achieve this goal, a text mining analysis is performed to assess 970 Chinese listed manufacturing enterprises' smart services development; a regression analysis is then conducted. The results show that smart services have a significant positive impact on the quality and quantity of green innovation, especially for heavily polluting enterprises. The substitution of technology and labor for capital, as well as the upgrading of human resource quality, are effective mechanisms. Smart services can assist as a management strategic tool to balance environmental protection and development, but such an effect fails to work in areas not covered by new infrastructure and is weaker for private enterprises. Objective. This study was designed to investigate the effect of endocrine metabolic factors on hemocyte parameters, tumor markers, and blood electrolytes in patients with hyperglycemia. Methods. In this study, 1791 patients with hyperglycemia were recruited and grouped according to different testing indexes, and their medical records and laboratory indexes were recorded and analyzed. Results. In adult patients with hyperglycemia, we found that high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) was negatively correlated with white blood cell (WBC) and could exert an effect on WBC; triglyceride (TG) level was positively associated with lymphocyte (LYM#); age, TG, and P affected the level of LYM#; and uric acid (UA) level was positively related to eosinophil (EO#). Besides, age was positively correlated with red blood cell distribution width-coefficient of variation (RDW-CV) level; fasting blood glucose (FBG) and serum phosphorus (P) were negatively correlated with RDW-CV level; and age, creatinine (Cre), FBG, HDL-C, and P were influencing factors of RDW-CV level in adult hyperglycemic patients. HDL-C was negatively correlated with fibrinogen (Fib) level, and age, HDL-C, serum kalium (K), serum sodium (Na), and body mass index (BMI) were the influencing factors of Fib levels. TG was positively associated with neuron-specific enolase (NSE) level and affected the NSE level. Serum magnesium (Mg) was negatively related to carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) level, and sex, age, FBG, Mg, and BMI could have an effect on CEA level. As well, age and FBG were positively associated with carbohydrate antigen 50 (CA50) levels, UA was negatively correlated with CA50 levels, and age, aspartate aminotransferase (AST), UA, and FBG were the influencing factors of CA50 levels. FBG was negatively related to Mg levels; K, serum zinc (Zn), and fasting C-peptide (C-P) were positively correlated with Mg levels; and FBG, K, Zn, and C-P had an effect on Mg levels. Conclusion. Catalytic asymmetric dearomative [3+2] cycloaddition of α-imino γ-lactones with either 3-nitroindoles or 2-nitrobenzofurans by using a chiral copper complex as the catalyst was developed. A wide range of structurally diverse polyheterocyclic compounds containing spirocyclic-fused butyrolactone-pyrrolidine-indoline and butyrolactone–pyrrolidine–dihydrobenzofuran skeletons could be smoothly obtained with excellent results (>99:1 dr and 98% ee). The potential synthetic applications of this methodology were also demonstrated by the scale-up experiment and by the diverse transformations of one product. Cerium element with a unique electric structure can be used to modify semiconductor photocatalysts to enhance their photocatalytic performances. In this work, Ce-doped TiO2 (Ce/TiO2) was successfully achieved using the sol-gel method. The structural characterization methods confirm that Ce was doped in the lattice of anatase TiO2, which led to a smaller grain size. The performance test results show that the Ce doped in anatase TiO2 significantly enhances the charge transport efficiency and broadens the light absorption range, resulting in higher photocatalytic performance. The Ce/TiO2 exhibited a photocurrent density of 10.9 μA/cm2 at 1.0 V vs. Ag/AgCl, 2.5 times higher than that of pure TiO2 (4.3 μA/cm2) under AM 1.5 G light. The hydrogen (H2) production rate of the Ce/TiO2 was approximately 0.33 μmol/h/g, which is more than twice as much as that of the pure anatase TiO2 (0.12 μmol/h/g). Ginger-derived compounds are abundant sources of anticancer natural products. However, the anticancer effects of (E)-3-hydroxy-1-(4′-hydroxy-3′,5′-dimethoxyphenyl)-tetradecan-6-en-5-one (3HDT) have not been examined. This study aims to assess the antiproliferation ability of 3HDT on triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) cells. 3HDT showed dose-responsive antiproliferation for TNBC cells (HCC1937 and Hs578T). Moreover, 3HDT exerted higher antiproliferation and apoptosis on TNBC cells than on normal cells (H184B5F5/M10). By examining reactive oxygen species, mitochondrial membrane potential, and glutathione, we found that 3HDT provided higher inductions for oxidative stress in TNBC cells compared with normal cells. Antiproliferation, oxidative stress, antioxidant signaling, and apoptosis were recovered by N-acetylcysteine, indicating that 3HDT preferentially induced oxidative-stress-mediated antiproliferation in TNBC cells but not in normal cells. Moreover, by examining γH2A histone family member X (γH2AX) and 8-hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine, we found that 3HDT provided higher inductions for DNA damage, which was also reverted by N-acetylcysteine. In conclusion, 3HDT is an effective anticancer drug with preferential antiproliferation, oxidative stress, apoptosis, and DNA damage effects on TNBC cells. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

With the accelerated pace of financial globalization and the gradual increase in linkages among financial markets, correctly identifying and describing the risk spillover and network diffusion in the financial system is extremely important for the prevention and management of systemic risk. Based on this, this paper takes the equity markets of 17 countries around the world from 2007 to 2022 as the research object, measures the volatility spillover effect of global financial markets using R-Vine Copula and the DY spillover index, constructs the volatility spillover network of global financial markets, discovers the spillover and diffusion pattern of global financial market risks, and provides relevant suggestions for systemic risk management. It is found that (1) there are certain aggregation characteristics in the network diffusion of global financial market volatility spillover; (2) developed European countries such as the Netherlands, France, the UK, and Germany are at the center of the network and have a strong influence; (3) Asian countries such as China, Japan, and India are at the periphery of the network; and (4) shocks from crisis events enhance the global financial market volatility spillover effect. Based on the above findings, effective prevention of global financial market risk volatility spillover and network diffusion and reduction in systemic risk need to be carried out in two ways. First, by focusing on the financial markets of key countries in the network, such as the Netherlands, the UK, France, and Germany. Background: Caudal epidural block (CEB) may be beneficial in anorectal surgery because its use may extend postoperative analgesia. This dose-finding study aimed to estimate the minimum effective anesthetic concentrations for 95% patients(MEC95) of 20 ml or 25 ml of ropivacaine in with CEB. Patients and methods: In this double-blind, prospective study, the concentration of ropivacaine administered in 20 ml and 25 ml for ultrasound-guided CEB were determined using the sample up-and-down sequential allocation study design of binary response variables. The first participant was given 0.5% ropivacaine. Depending on whether a block was successful or unsuccessful, the concentration of local anesthesia was decreased or increased by 0.025% in the next patient. Every five minutes for 30 min, the sensory blockade using a pin-prick sensation at S3 dermatome compared to at T6 dermatome were evaluated every 5 min within 30 min. An effective CEB was defined as a a reduction of sensation at S3 dermatome and the existence of flaccid anal sphincter. Anesthesia was considered successful if the surgeon could perform the surgery without additional anesthesia. We determined the MEC50 using the Dixon and Massey up-and-down method and estimated the MEC95 using probit regression. Results: The concentration of ropivacaine administered in 20 ml for CEB ranged from 0.2% to 0.5%. Probit regression with a bias-corrected Morris 95% CI derived by bootstrapping showed an MEC50 and MEC 50 of ropivacaine for anorectal surgical anesthesia were 0.27% (95% CI, 0.24 to 0.31) and 0.36%(95% CI, 0.32 to 0.61). The concentration of ropivacaine administered in 25 ml for CEB ranged from 0.175 to 0.5. Probit regression with a bias-corrected Morris 95% CI derived by bootstrapping showed an MEC50 and MEC95 for CEB were 0.24% (95% CI, 0.19 to 0.27) and 0.32% (95% CI, 0.28 to 0.54). Conclusion: With ultrasound-guided CEB, the MEC95 of 0.36% ropivacaine at 20 ml and 0.32% ropivacaine at 25 ml provide adequate surgical anesthesia/analgesia 95% of patients undergoing anorectoal surgery. Logistics Performance (LP) is one of the fundamental catalysts that serve as a podium for the integration of the world economy. This study is conducted to observe the combined effects of Liner Shipping Connectivity (LSC) and Global Competitiveness Index (GCI) on LP in mediating the Quality of Port and Infrastructure (PORT). We selected 28 Asian economies and 1 special administrative region (Hong Kong) counting the year of 2007-2018. Partial Least Square -- Structural Equation Model (PLS--SEM) with an extension of the Importance--Performance Map Analysis (IPMA) was applied. Empirical evidence derived from the path diagram has revealed that LSC and global competitiveness in mediating the PORT have significant effects of accelerating LP, leading to higher competitiveness in terms of strategic development and yielding better connectivity. Due to limited resources, Asian decision-makers need a guidance to focus on how to improve LP. The paper documents a conodont fauna from Lower Triassic deposits of Paleotethys-issued North Dobrogea Orogen. The studied strata exposed in the Tulcea Veche Quarry are characterized by the presence of diversified molluscs, including the ammonoid Tirolites cassianus (Quenstedt) and the bivalve Crittendenia decidens (Bittner). The site also represents the type locality of the coelacanth fish Dobrogeria aegyssensis Cavin & Grădinaru. The recovered conodont fauna is marked by Icriospathodus crassatus (Orchard), Neospathodus robustispinus Zhao & Orchard, Novispathodus abruptus (Orchard), Nv. brochus (Orchard), Nv. aff. brochus (Orchard), Tr. ex gr. homeri (Bender), Tr. hungaricus (Kozur & Mostler), Tr. ex gr. hungaricus (Kozur & Mostler), Tr. symmetricus (Orchard), Tr. aff. symmetricus (Orchard), and Triassospathodus sp. that is correlated with the Tr. symmetricus Zone. It is hypothesized that in heterostylous plant species, standardization of signals of floral attraction between different morphs is advantageous, encouraging flower visitors to switch between morphs. It remains unclear whether signals of floral attraction (floral odor and properties of nectar) are similar between morphs in distylous species pollinated by hawkmoths, and how these relate to hawkmoth behavior. We observed the behavior of visitors to distylous Luculia pinceana (Rubiaceae), collected and analyzed floral odor, and examined properties of nectar (volume, sugar concentration, and composition) of long‐styled and short‐styled morphs during the day and night. Pollinator responses to the floral scent were tested with a Y‐tube olfactometer. We conducted diurnal and nocturnal pollination treatments and six other pollination treatments to test the importance of nocturnal pollinators and to examine the self‐incompatibility system. A species of hawkmoth, Cechenena lineosa, was the effective pollinator. The floral odor was rich in methyl benzoate, and sucrose was dominant in the nectar. There were no significant differences between the two morphs in the methyl benzoate content or the properties of nectar. Flowers released more methyl benzoate and secreted larger volumes of nectar with lower sugar concentration at night than during the day. The hawkmoth had a significant preference for methyl benzoate. Luculia pinceana was partially self‐incompatible and relied on nocturnal pollinators for reproductive success. This study verifies that floral attraction signals are consistent between different morphs in this distylous species, promoting compatible pollination, and the features and the diel pattern of these signals between day and night are adapted to hawkmoth behavior. Background: Influenza virus causes significant morbidity and mortality with pandemic threat. Oleaceae Fructus Forsythiae is a medicinal herb. This study aimed to investigate antiviral effect of Phillyrin, a purified bioactive compound from this herb, and its reformulated preparation FS21 against influenza and its mechanism. Methods: Madin–Darby Canine Kidney (MDCK) cells were infected by one of six influenza viruses: five influenza A viruses (IAVs: three H1N1 and two H3N2) and one influenza B virus (IBV). Virus‐induced cytopathic effects were observed and recorded under microscope. Viral replication and mRNA transcription were evaluated by quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) and protein expression by Western blot. Infectious virus production was assessed using TCID50 assay, and IC50 was calculated accordingly. Pretreatment and time‐of‐addition experiments with Phillyrin or FS21 added 1 h before or in early (0–3 h), mid (3–6 h), or late (6–9 h) stages of viral infection were performed to assess their antiviral effects. Mechanistic studies included hemagglutination and neuraminidase inhibition, viral binding and entry, endosomal acidification, and plasmid‐based influenza RNA polymerase activity. Results: Phillyrin and FS21 had potent antiviral effects against all six IAV and IBV in a dose‐dependent manner. Mechanistic studies showed that both suppressed influenza viral RNA polymerase with no effect on virus‐mediated hemagglutination inhibition, viral binding or entry, endosomal acidification, or neuraminidase activity. Conclusions: Phillyrin and FS21 have broad and potent antiviral effects against influenza viruses with inhibition of viral RNA polymerase as the distinct antiviral mechanism. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Time‐restricted eating (TRE) is a new therapeutic strategy for the management of weight loss and dysmetabolic diseases. At present, TRE (8/16, 8 h eating:16 h fasting) is the most common form of TRE. Therefore, this meta‐analysis included randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on TRE (8/16) in overweight and obese adults to determine its impact on body weight and metabolism. Articles reviewed from PubMed, Ovid MEDLINE, Embase, and Cochrane Central Register for the relevant RCTs that compared TRE (8/16) to non‐TRE in overweight and obese adults. Eight RCTs were included in this meta‐analysis. Participants following TRE (8/16) showed significant body weight reduction (mean difference [MD]: −1.48 kg, 95% confidence interval [CI]: −2.53 to −0.44) and fat mass reduction (MD: −1.09 kg, 95% CI: −1.55 to −0.63). There was no significant difference in lean mass change with TRE intervention (MD: −0.48 kg, 95% CI: −1.02 to 0.05, p =.08, I2 = 41%). The energy restriction and early TRE (eTRE) subgroups resulted in greater weight loss. TRE (8/16) showed beneficial effects on the homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA‐IR, MD: −0.32, 95% CI: −0.59 to −0.06), but had no significant effect on other parameters of glucose metabolism and lipid profiles. In conclusion, TRE (8/16), especially eTRE, or in combination with caloric intake restriction, is a potential therapeutic strategy for weight control in overweight and obese adults. Water displacing oil is one of the main emptying methods for mobile pipelines. It has the advantages of being a simple process and highly safe. At present, the determination of a water displacing oil scheme of mobile pipelines is based on the oil–oil alternating transport theory of product oil pipelines. However, the insolubility of the oil phase and the water phase results in a great difference between the flow characteristics of water displacing oil and the oil–oil alternating transport of a product oil pipeline. In addition, due to the effect of buoyancy, the oil phase gathers at the high point of the pipeline and forms a liquid accumulation, which is difficult to carry away by water flow, resulting in the low emptying efficiency of the mobile pipeline. The essence of water displacing oil in a mobile pipeline is an oil–water two-phase unsteady displacement flow, involving liquid–liquid displacement flow, oil–water two-phase flow and water carrying oil. Aiming at such problems, domestic and foreign scholars have carried out a large number of theoretical and experimental studies, established the oil–water mixing model of water displacing oil and the relationship between macroscopic quantity (flow pattern, pressure drop and water content) and microscopic quantity (local flow field and droplet dispersion pattern, etc.) under each flow type, and explored the influence of pipeline diameter, oil phase velocity, pipeline inclination angle and other parameters on the capacity of carrying liquid accumulation. On this basis, this paper analyzes the shortcomings of the current research on the oil–water flow characteristics of water displacing oil in a mobile pipeline from three aspects: the formation mechanism of the oil–water mixture, displacing flow characteristics of immiscible fluids and flow characteristics of water carrying oil. Five future research directions are proposed, including the interface morphology and flow field characteristics of oil–water two-phase layered flow, local mixing characteristics of an oil–water two-phase dual continuous flow interface, droplet distribution and flow characteristics of oil–water two-phase dispersed flow, unsteady flow characteristics of the oil–water mixture of water displacing oil and oil accumulation and flow characteristics in topographic relief pipes. The comprehension of spoken language is a crucial aspect of dialogue systems, encompassing two fundamental tasks: intent classification and slot filling. Currently, the joint modeling approach for these two tasks has emerged as the dominant method in spoken language understanding modeling. However, the existing joint models have limitations in terms of their relevancy and utilization of contextual semantic features between the multiple tasks. To address these limitations, a joint model based on BERT and semantic fusion (JMBSF) is proposed. The model employs pre-trained BERT to extract semantic features and utilizes semantic fusion to associate and integrate this information. The results of experiments on two benchmark datasets, ATIS and Snips, in spoken language comprehension demonstrate that the proposed JMBSF model attains 98.80% and 99.71% intent classification accuracy, 98.25% and 97.24% slot-filling F1-score, and 93.40% and 93.57% sentence accuracy, respectively. These results reveal a significant improvement compared to other joint models. Furthermore, comprehensive ablation studies affirm the effectiveness of each component in the design of JMBSF. Purpose. To investigate the relationship between aqueous humor cytokines and structural characteristics based on optical coherence tomography (OCT) in patients with diabetic macular edema (DME). Methods. Forty eyes of 28 patients with DME diagnosed in the Affiliated Eye Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University at Hangzhou were included. All patients collected aqueous humor during anti-VEGF treatment, and the IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, VEGF, VCAM-1, ICAM-1, TGF-β1, FGF, and MCP-1 concentrations were detected. OCT examination was performed before anti-VEGF treatment and 1 month after anti-VEGF operation. Central macular thickness (CMT), macular volume (MV), choroidal thickness (CT), and the number of hyperreflective foci (HRF) were obtained for analysis. Each eye was determined whether there is subretinal effusion (SRD), cystoid macular edema (CME), and diffuse retinal thickening (DRT). Results. The levels of IL-6 and FGF in DME patients with SRD were significantly higher than those without SRD (all P < 0.05). The level of VEGF in DME patients with CME was significantly higher than that in DME patients without CME (P = 0.005); IL-6, TGF-β1, and MCP-1 were significantly higher in DME patients with DRT than that without DRT (all P < 0.05). There was no significant correlation between aqueous humor cytokines and retinal thickness and retinal volume. However, the thinner the CT, the higher the level of aqueous humor cytokines IL-6 (r = −0.313, P = 0.049) and FGF (r = −0.361, P = 0.022). A multivariate linear regression analysis showed that IL-6 was significantly correlated with CT (P = 0.002) and SRD (P = 0.017), FGF was also significantly correlated with CT (P = 0.002) and SRD (P = 0.005), and TGF-β1 was correlated with triglycerides (P = 0.030) and HRF (P = 0.021). Conclusion. DME patients with significant macular cystoid edema changes may be related to high VEGF concentrations and thin CT; meanwhile, the presence of SRD or a high number of HRF on OCT macular scans in DME patients may indicate high levels of intraocular inflammatory factors. Background: Macrosomia is a serious public health concern. This study aimed to examine the combined effects of various risk factors on macrosomia. Methods: The China Labor and Delivery Survey was a multicenter cross-sectional study that included 96 hospitals. Logistic regression analysis was performed to examine the combined effects of the risk factors for macrosomia. The population attributable risk percentage (PAR%) was calculated for the risk factors. Results: A total of 64,735 live births, including 3,739 neonates with macrosomia, were used for the analysis. The weighted prevalence of macrosomia was 5.8%. Pre-pregnancy overweight/obesity, diabetes, and gestational hypertension have a synergistic effect on increasing the rate of macrosomia in mothers aged < 36 years. The highest odds ratio (36.15, 95% CI: 34.38–38.02) was observed in female fetuses whose mothers had both gestational hypertension and diabetes. However, in mothers aged ≥ 36 years, the synergistic effect of gestational hypertension and other factors did not exist, and the risk for macrosomia was reduced by 70% in female fetuses of mothers with both gestational hypertension and overweight/obesity. Pre-pregnancy risk factors (pre-pregnancy overweight/obesity and advanced maternal age) contributed the most to macrosomia (23.36% of the PAR%), and the single largest risk factor was pre-pregnancy overweight/obesity (17.43% of the PAR%). Conclusion: Macrosomia was related to several common, modifiable risk factors. Some factors have combined effects on macrosomia (e.g., pre-pregnancy overweight/obesity and diabetes), whereas gestational hypertension varies by maternal age. Background: Methane (CH4), as one of the major energy sources, easily escapes from the supply chain into the atmosphere, because it exists in a gaseous state under ambient conditions. Compared to carbon dioxide (CO2), CH4 is 25 times more potent at trapping radiation; thus, the emission of CH4 to the atmosphere causes severe global warming and climate change. To mitigate CH4 emissions and utilize them effectively, the direct biological conversion of CH4 into liquid fuels, such as methanol (CH3OH), using methanotrophs is a promising strategy. However, supplying biocatalysts in an aqueous medium with CH4 involves high energy consumption due to vigorous agitation and/or bubbling, which is a serious concern in methanotrophic processes, because the aqueous phase causes a very large barrier to the delivery of slightly soluble gases. Results: An inverse membrane bioreactor (IMBR), which combines the advantages of gas-phase bioreactors and membrane bioreactors, was designed and constructed for the bioconversion of CH4 into CH3OH in this study. In contrast to the conventional membrane bioreactor with bacterial cells that are immersed in an aqueous phase, the filtered cells were placed to face a gas phase in the IMBR to supply CH4 directly from the gas phase to bacterial cells. Methylococcus capsulatus (Bath), a representative methanotroph, was used to demonstrate the bioconversion of CH4 to CH3OH in the IMBR. Cyclopropanol was supplied from the aqueous phase as a selective inhibitor of methanol dehydrogenase, preventing further CH3OH oxidation. Sodium formate was added as an electron donor to generate NADH, which is necessary for CH3OH production. After optimizing the inlet concentration of CH4, the mass of cells, the cyclopropanol concentration, and the gas flow rate, continuous CH3OH production can be achieved over 72 h with productivity at 0.88 mmol L−1 h−1 in the IMBR, achieving a longer operation period and higher productivity than those using other types of membrane bioreactors reported in the literature. Conclusions: The IMBR can facilitate the development of gas-to-liquid (GTL) technologies via microbial processes, allowing highly efficient mass transfer of substrates from the gas phase to microbial cells in the gas phase and having the supplement of soluble chemicals convenient.
