This paper focuses on the current condition of readymade garments export by Bangladesh to well-established export destinations and nontraditional destinations. The main objective of this study is to find out ways of increasing Bangladesh’s export earnings. The RMG industry has set an export target of US $50 billion by 2021 for which new export destinations must be explored. Bangladesh, however, is still far behind the target due to some constraints. Another objective of this study is to identify these constraints and justify the reasons to explore the non-traditional markets. This study was conducted using secondary data obtained from various trusted national sources. These data were analyzed and showcased using statistical tools to interpret the discussed topic.

In this paper, it is intended to establish a mathematical logic for the purpose of removal of trash in an automatic way and removal of trash will refer to the cleaning process of carding machine. But the selection of degree of cleaning has to be optimum considering other process factors like fiber loss, fiber rupturing, neps generation etc. Higher degree of cleaning causes higher degree of fiber loss. And in spinning mill, fiber loss means money loss as raw cotton purchasing cost consumes 50% to 60% of total manufacturing cost of yarn in terms of Bangladesh. Alongside, fiber loss is affected the cleaning system because the system is designed for fiber cleaning, not for fiber loss. So, it is necessary to measure the performance of the system. For this purpose, we have chosen two terms, ‘Cleaning Efficiency (C.E.)’ to measure the degree of cleaning & ‘Effective Cleaning (E.C.)’ to measure the performance of the system. In this paper, it is intended to describe a relationship between these two terms, graphical expression of the individuals, a way to calculate the force applied by mechanical means and the force required to clean. The ultimate result of this project is to find the relationship between the surface speed of taker-in and the trash weight of output material.

Intimal sarcomas are rare and histologically heterogeneous tumors, commonly arising from the pulmonary arteries. They have remained challenging to treat. Few studies in the literature study the genomics of this cancer. Identifying targetable alterations is an important step in advancing the treatment of intimal sarcomas. Using data from the American Association for Cancer Research Project Genomics Evidence Neoplasia Information Exchange (AACR GENIE) database, we cataloged genetic alterations and assessed their clinical utility from thirteen patients with intimal sarcoma. Notable copy number alterations included amplification in MDM2, CDK4, PDGFRA, and NOTCH2, as well as copy number losses in CDKN2A and CDKN2B. Actionable alterations included mutations in ATM/ATR, PTCH1, and PDGFRB. Moreover, genomic rearrangement events, specifically PDE4DIP-NOTCH2 and MRPS30-ARID2 fusions were identified. Co-occurring alterations included a NOTCH2 copy number gain in the PDE4DIP-NOTCH2 fusion positive tumor and PDGFRB mutations in both fusion-positive cases. Our study suggests that PDGFRB may be relevant in the tumorigenesis process. Including genomic profiling in the management of intimal sarcoma and potential enrollment in targeted therapy trials is warranted.

INTRODUCTION The TET2 (Ten‐Eleven Translocation 2) gene, located at chromosome 4q24.1, belongs to TET family of proteins that possesses the capacity of catalyzing the conversion of 5‐methylcytosine into 5‐hydroxymethylcytosine. It is considered to be a putative tumor suppressor gene during cancer initiation and development. TET2 mutations are extensively studied and reported in a variety of human hematological malignancies including acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), suggesting a crucial role of TET2 in the pathogenesis of blood cancers. The landscape of rare TET2 variants which may be of potential clinical relevance is not fully described. The landscape of TET2 variants from a large cohort of MDS and AML patients was explored. METHODS We analyzed data from bone marrow samples of 2634 patients with AML or MDS who presented at MD Anderson between the years 2012-2016. Seven hundred seventy seven patients were found to have TET2 variants that were not classifiable as known mutations. Two hundred sixty-three patients were diagnosed with MDS, 144 with secondary AML transformed from MDS, and 370 with AML without prior history of MDS. The coding regions of TET2 gene was analyzed by next-generation sequencing in the molecular diagnostics laboratory. Non-mutation variants were classified into 2 groups: 1) those reported as germline polymorphisms (GP) in population studies, literature or matched tumor-normal analysis on patients at MDACC; and 2) variants for which a germline versus somatic origin could not be determined unequivocally (variants of uncertain origin, VUO). Very common GP variants (defined as those with a population frequency of over 20% in laboratory sample cohort) were not evaluated. Variants' predicted frequency in the population according to gnomAD Exomes 2.0.2, and classification according to American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) guidelines for interpretation of sequence variants, were assessed using the VarSome platform by Saphetor. RESULTS Two-hundred and twenty-eight unique variants were identified. The amino acid substitutions from missense variants were widely distributed throughout TET2. Fifty-four unique variants were classified as GP and several of these recurrent variants were found to be present in our population at a significantly higher frequency (p CONCLUSIONS The landscape of rare TET2 variants in a large group of MDS and AML patients was frequent, diverse, and included both GP and VUO. GP variants were more likely benign by ACMG classification and found in both MDS and AML patients. A large number of singleton VUO were found among MDS patients, and many were predicted to be pathogenic or had uncertain significance. VUO's also contained many fs and nonsense variants. These result support the idea that rare pathogenic variants in TET2 are currently underrecognized as contributory, although they are likely to help drive leukemogenesis. Greater understanding of the importance of individual TET2 variants and additional classification metrics are needed. This project report describes the biological activity of the dried leaves of Mangifera indica belonging to the family Anacardiaceae and the dried fruits of Areca catechu belonging to the family Arecaceae. The dried powders of leaves and fruits were extracted with organic solvents –Carbon tetrachloride, Methanol & Pet ether sequentially by maceration process. After this, The crude extracts of Carbon tetrachloride, Methanol & Pet ether were investigated for analgesic and antimicrobial property. For Mangifera indica, the crude extracts of Carbon tetrachloride, Methanol & Pet ether were studied for analgesic property at an oral dose of 200 mg /kg of body weight using acetic acid induced writhing effect method. The result showed that the Methanol and Pet ether extracts had mild analgesic property (having a writhing inhibition of 51.7% and 50% respectively), while carbon tetrachloride extract did not show significant analgesic property (having a writhing inhibition of 30 %). For Areca catechu, the crude extracts of Carbon tetrachloride, Methanol & Pet ether were screened for antimicrobial activity against gram positive and gram negative bacteria and fungi using disk diffusion method. The results obtained were compared with that of standard drug kanamycin. The Carbon tetrachloride extract showed mild sensitivity to several gram positive, gram negative bacteria & Fungi (zone of inhibition 9-10 mm). The Methanol extract also showed mild sensitivity to several gram positive, gram negative bacteria & Fungi (zone of inhibition 7-10 mm).and slightly to highly sensitive to fungi (zone of inhibition 8-40 mm). The pet ether extract Crystal (Found after adding Carbon tetrachloride) showed mild sensitivity to only a gram negative bacteria (Shigella boydii) having zone of inhibition 7 mm.
