The tourism industry in Malaysia serves an important role in providing high-quality tourism products and services and incorporating green practices to achieve environmental sustainability. Studies on the factors that influence revisit intention among green resort guests are limited. Thus, this study approached quantitative method and aimed to assess the influence of perceived value and environmental concern in measuring tourists revisit intentions of green resorts in Malaysia. The analysis unit is the resort's guests in the selected green resorts who have stayed in one of the selected green resorts for at least two days. A total of 450 sample data were analysed using the statistical software IBM SPSS version 22. This study fills the knowledge gap by proposing that environmental awareness and environmental knowledge influence guests’ intention to revisit green resorts.

The problems discussed in this study relate to the number of employee work accidents that tend to increase each year significantly due to aspects of the work environment, work equipment and materials, and how to do work. Therefore, this study's purpose of identifying and analyzing employees' occupational health and safety at the Makassar City Fire Department. The research method used is descriptive-quantitative. The population in this study were all firefighters in the Makassar City Fire Department, with a total sample of 214 people. Data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires, observations, interviews, and document review using a Likert's Summated Rating (Likert's) scale analysis and SPSS 17 program assistance. The results showed that the occupational health and safety of the Makassar City firefighter department is a positive category. In addition, 196 respondents or 91,5% positive outlook and 18 respondents or 8,41% have a very positive outlook in environment work, 133 respondents or 37,9% positive outlook and 81 respondents or 37,9% positive outlooks about work equipment and materials. The last aspect shows 135 respondents or 63,1% positive outlooks and 79 respondents or 36,9% positive outlook on how to do the work

This study investigates the concept of perceived value on the customers' intention to revisit Malaysian green resorts. It is a cultural case that happened in Malaysia. The perceived value would be assessed in a formative manner based on a multi-dimensional scale, which includes the dimensions of functional, social, emotional, and epistemic. This research was applied to a survey method. The unit of analysis is the resort customers, with distributed questionnaires to customers who have stayed in one of the selected green resorts and have consumed the products and services at these resorts for at least two days. This study provides significant insights and pertinent recommendations to the hospitality industry and extends the existing body of knowledge by assessing perceived value as an integrated formative construct and examining customers' overall perceived value towards green resorts. This study provides an in-depth understanding of the importance of green resorts associated with the communities, groups, and individuals from one generation to the next. Also, this study can be a benchmark, provide guidance, and the basis for future directions of future studies that are similar. It can contribute to providing a broader perspective on the issue. This study also addresses what academicians can do to teach students in the field of hospitality and tourism, create awareness among individual consumers and finally, to promote sustainability for tourists, travelers, as well participants in the field of hospitality. Next, attention is also given to the teaching of the hospitality and tourism areas in the lodging, meetings and events, and foodservice segments of the industry. Sustainability education in lodging operations includes ensuring that students understand that "green" lodging professionals participate. The paper estimates the demand for customers' intention to revisit the green resort in Malaysia. The originality of this paper comes out to the need to identify the application of green initiatives in the hospitality industry continues to rise in their contribution to preserve the environment as well as meeting the demands of environmentally-conscious customers.

Biological parameters of the onion thrips, Thrips tabaci Lindeman were studied on the following onion (Allium cepa L.) cultivars: Nasik Red Plus N-53, Onion Dr-301 (Krishna), Onion White, and Nasik Red, at 25±1°C and 65±5% RH. Significant (p < 0.05) differences were found in the life stages and fertility life tables on different cultivars except in the pupal stages. More information about the biological parameters of T. tabaci on onion cultivars can help in designing Integrated Pest Management programs for onion thrips.

China is now enjoying fast growth of international tourism development, which contributes to creating a large amount of employment in the tourism and hospitality industry. For the sake of gaining competitive advantage, this industry has an urgent need to attract and recruit the qualified and skilled employees. However, a great proportion of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) undergraduates fail to make their career decisions to work in the tourism industry due to the parental influential factors. It is therefore important to provide a value conceptual 1 model that expounds on the theoretical relationships existing between two parental factors and HTM students’ career intentions. This study contributes to the literature by clarifying the effects of parental influence on the students’ career decisions to enter the hospitality industry in China.

Purpose – The existing literature has accepted the view that the destination image can be explained by the motivation theory. According to this theory the destination image can be explained by either the internal motivation of tourists or the external motivation originating from the destination. The purpose of this paper is to critically review the literature to build an appropriate research framework for understanding the formation of destination image by international tourists. Design, Methodology and Approach – The literature pertaining to destination image till recently can be divided into three evolutionary stages with stage boundaries marked by the seminal reviews by Echtner & Ritchie in 1991 and by Pike in 2002. The two main focuses of the destination image research are – measurement and theory of the destination image. The evolution of measurement and theory is reviewed, in this conceptual paper, through these stages justifying the proposed new research framework. Findings – The existing theories do not take in to account some of the modern variables such as perceived risks of travel and the power of social networks that fuel word of mouth. A successful firm in the tourism and hospitality industry requires skilled and committed employees. However, in the current tourism and hospitality industry, the top challenge lies in the attraction and retention of qualified and skilled employees and a great proportion of the graduates fail to enter the industry. It is therefore important to provide a value conceptual model that expounds on the theoretical relationships existing between the perceptions of undergraduate students and their intention to join the industry. This study contributes to literature by clarifying the perceptions of students-intention to join the industry relationship and by determining the moderating influence of the internship program on such relationship.

Customer relationship management (CRM) has a growing popularity and is becoming one of the hottest academic and practical topics in the business field. In fact, due to the competitive environment, CRM is crucial and has become a niche for firm performance. However, there is limited research that reveals the relationship between CRM dimensions and hotel performance. Therefore this study is an attempt to provide a value conceptual model that explains the theoretical linkages existing between CRM dimensions and hotel performance. This study serves not only to clarify the relationship between CRM dimensions and hotel performance, but also to explain the mediation role of marketing capabilities in this relationship.

Continuous skilled-employee shortage has been reported in the hospitality industry despite the mushrooming growth of higher learning institutions off ering the Bachelor of Hospitality Management (BHM) programme. The purpose of this study is to assess the BHM graduates’ areas of employment and their justifi cation for not seeking employment or leaving the hospitality industry. To meet the purpose, a quantitative research paradigm supported by open-ended questions was used. This study focused on Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) BHM graduates. The fi ndings revealed that the UUM BHM graduates’ Islamic faith plays a signifi cant role in the religious Muslim graduates’ career paths. However, as widely documented in the literature, unattractive compensation in the hospitality industry appears to be the most important reason for graduates to seek employment in other industries. This is followed by poor career development opportunities and working conditions. Information from this study may help remedy the continuous shortage of skilled employees in the industry. It may also ensure the graduates’ ability to secure suitable jobs. In addition, it indirectly helps in the initiative to improve the BHM curriculum. This paper examines the nation brand image notion. Literature review is employed as the method to develop the conceptual model. This paper suggests that the multifaceted nature of a nation can be covered in the nation brand image. In addition, the theoretical relationship between national brand identity, national identity, tourism brand and nation brand image and is also explored. This paper eventually proposes a conceptual model of nation brand image and suggests that future research include the multi elements of national brand identity and national identity as the components of nation brand image. It is supposed that the most frequent birth defect worldwide is clefts of the lip and/or palate (CL+-P). The frequency is non-syndromic where CL+-P happens in segregation of additional phenotypes; and syndromic clefts are referred when one or more additional features are involved. The etiologies of CL+-P is multifaceted and occupy both major and minor genetic influences with changeable relations from environmental factors. This study extends the involvement of various genes, which are responsible for both syndromic and non syndromic CL+-P patients. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) is defined as the loss of functional mechanical activity of the heart in association with an absence of systemic circulation, occurring outside of a hospital. Immediate coronary angiography (CAG) with percutaneous coronary intervention is recommended for OHCA with ST-elevation. We aimed to evaluate the effect of early CAG on mortality and neurological outcomes in OHCA patients without ST-elevation., Methods: This meta-analysis and systemic review was conducted as per principles of Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis (PRISMA) group. A protocol was registered with the International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews (PROSPERO, Ref No. = CRD42022327833). A total of 674 studies were retrieved after scanning several databases (PubMed Central, EMBASE, Medline, and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials)., Results: A total of 18 studies were selected for the final analysis, including 6 randomized control trials and 12 observational studies. Statistically, there was no significant difference in primary outcome, i.e., mortality, between early and delayed CAG. In terms of the grade of neurological recovery as a secondary outcome, early and delayed CAG groups also showed no statistically significant difference., Conclusion: Early CAG has no survival benefits in patients with no ST elevations on ECG after OHCA., Competing Interests: The authors declare no conflicts of interest., (© 2024 The Authors.
