Abstract

Peroxidase-like nanozymes are nanoscale materials that can closely mimic the activity of natural peroxidase for a range of oxidation reactions. Surface coating with polymer nanogels has been considered to prevent the aggregation of nanozymes. For a long time, the understanding of polymer coating has been largely limited to its stabilization effect on the nanozyme in aqueous media, while little is known about how polymer coating plays a role in interaction with substrates and primary oxidants to dictate the catalytic process. This work reported a facile sequential modification of Fe3O4 nanoparticles to polyacrylamide coated nanozymes, and as low as 112 mg/L samples with only 5 mg/L Fe3O4 could nearly quantitatively (99%) remove a library of organic dyes with either H2O2 or Na2S2O8 as primary oxidants. The catalytic results and molecular simulation provide both experimental and computational evidence that the hydrogen bonding interaction between the reactant and nanozymes is key for the high local concentration hence catalytic efficiency. We envision that this work, for the first time, provides some insights into the role of polymer coating in enhancing the catalytic activity of nanozyme apart from the well-known water dispersity effect. Abstract

Many synthetic routes have been explored to make small molecule sulfonimidamides (SIAs), however, its introduction into larger molecules such as oligopeptides has not been studied before. We herein demonstrate three alternative and complementary methods for synthesis of SIA based pseudopeptides, on solid phase, using both on and off‐resin SIA‐synthesis, via sulfonimidoyl chlorides from sulfonamides, in high conversion. Beside evaluation of various resins such as 2‐CTC, Wang, and Rink amide‐ChemMatrix, the possibilities to further N‐functionalize and cyclize the SIA functionality on solid support are shown. The diastereomers of SIA containing pseudopeptides could in most cases be separated using normal reverse phase preparative HPLC. The solid phase SIA methodology has many advantages when it comes to handling and purification as compared to in solution, and will therefore enable exploration of the SIA group as isosteric substitutions and peptidomimetic building blocks in the development of drug‐like pseudopeptides in many ways. Of particular note these approaches facilitate combinatorial library synthesis as demonstrated herein.

Abstract

This paper proposes an interval estimation method for discrete-time linear systems by designing robust reduced-order observer with reachability analysis. First, the discrete-time linear system is transformed into a reduced-order system via a special equivalent transformation, which depends on the orthogonal procedure on the output matrix. Then, a kind of robust reduced-order observer is developed such that the states of the original discrete-time system can be indirectly estimated, where the H ∞ technique is used to attenuate the effects of disturbances. Based on the estimated states provided by the reduced-order observer, the interval estimation can be obtained by reachability analysis. A simulation example is given to illustrate that the proposed method of interval estimation has better performance than the full-order observer-based interval estimation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Penecontemporaneous dissolution has been considered as the dominant origin of reservoir formation, whereas epigenetic dissolution has also played certain roles in the improvement of reservoir capacity in the Upper Cretaceous Mishrif Formation in the Middle East. Here, we report a possible new reservoir origin based on a case study in the Halfaya oilfield of Iraq, that is, facies‐controlled eogenetic karstification. The most representative evidence is that early selective dissolution is not only present in relative high‐energy categories of rocks but also in low‐energy ones in the cored intervals. Meanwhile, the occurrence frequency of karstification varies among different environments and associated lithologies. In grainstones and packstones, spongy‐like dissolution pores and irregular karst channels are widely developed, with fillings and massive plastic breccias. In contrast, in wackestones, lots of high‐angle karst channels are developed based on biological burrows, and the karst is more frequently observed in the shoal environment than in the low‐energy environments. These characteristics are indication of eogenetic karstification. The model of this karstification can be attributed to a multiple superimposition of short‐term exposure during the penecontemporaneous stage and the medium‐term exposure after the shallow burial stage. The karst has impact on reservoir capacity, according to which 3 areas are divided in the increasing order, namely, the tight bedrock area, spongy‐like dissolution pores area, and karst channels and vugs‐filled area, among which the karst channels and vugs‐filled area is the most favourable for oil accumulation. 49. Hybrid Field-Effect Transistors and Photodetectors Based on Organic Semiconductor and CsPbI3Perovskite Nanorods Bilayer Structure

Abstract

The outstanding performances of nanostructured all-inorganic CsPbX3(X = I, Br, Cl) perovskites in optoelectronic applications can be attributed to their unique combination of a suitable bandgap, high absorption coefficient, and long carrier lifetime, which are desirable for photodetectors. However, the photosensing performances of the CsPbI3nanomaterials are limited by their low charge-transport efficiency. In this study, a phototransistor with a bilayer structure of an organic semiconductor layer of 2,7-dioctyl [1] benzothieno[3,2-b] [1] benzothiophene and CsPbI3nanorod layer was fabricated. The high-quality CsPbI3nanorod layer obtained using a simple dip-coating method provided decent transistor performance of the hybrid transistor device. The perovskite layer efficiently absorbs light, while the organic semiconductor layer acts as a transport channel for injected photogenerated carriers and provides gate modulation. The hybrid phototransistor exhibits high performance owing to the synergistic function of the photogating effect and field effect in the transistor, with a photoresponsivity as high as 4300 A W−1, ultra-high photosensitivity of 2.2 × 106, and excellent stability over 1 month. This study provides a strategy to combine the advantages of perovskite nanorods and organic semiconductors in fabrication of high-performance photodetectors.
