The article offers information on the general social survey 2007 about caregivers in Canada who are above 45 years of age and discusses their situation. It states that about one in five Canadian above 45 provided care to seniors in 2007 along with other roles in their lives including paid worker, parent and spouse. Eldercare is provided by family, friends and neighbors and reportedly has a gender bias that can cause role conflict, especially for women.
