Photovoltaic generators (PVG) produce a variable power according to the solar radiation (G) and temperature (T). This variation affects the sizing of the components of DC / DC converters, powered by such PVG, and make it difficult. The effects may differ from one component to another. The main and critical one is presented by the inductor, the element that stores the energy during sampled periods. We propose in this work an auto-adaptation of these inductor values to maintain optimal performance of the power yield of these converters. Our idea is to replace the inductor by a coupled inductor where this adjustment is made by the addition of an adjustable electric field in the magnetic core. Low current intensities come from the PVG supply the second inductor of the coupled inductor through a circuit controlled by a fuzzy controller (FC). The whole system is modeled and simulated under MATLAB/SIMULINK for the control part of the system and under PSPICE for the power part of the system. The obtained results show good performances of the proposed converter over the standard one.

In this paper, we propose a nonlinear model for magnetic levitation systems which is validated with experimental measurements. Using this model, a nonlinear control law based on differential geometry is firstly synthesized. Then, its real-time implementation is developed. In order to highlight the performance of the proposed control law, experimental results are given. In this study, the analysis and design problems of H∞ filtering for a class of discrete‐time‐varying delay systems are investigated. The authors' attention is focused on the filter design using scaled small gain (SSG) approach guaranteeing the robust asymptotic stability of the filtering error system with a prescribed H∞ performance. A novel transformation model of the filtering error system is obtained via three‐term approximation method and input–output approach based on SSG theorem. Then, the desired filter design is obtained through a convex optimisation problem resolution under a set of linear matrix inequality constraints. In this article, an advanced multiphase modular power drive prototype is developed for More Electric Aircraft (MEA). The proposed drive is designed to supply a multi-phase permanent magnet (PM) motor rating 120 kW with 24 slots and 11 pole pairs. The power converter of the drive system is based on Silicon Carbide Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor (SiC MOSFET) technology to operate at high voltage, high frequency and low reverse recovery current. Firstly, an experimental characterization test is performed for the selected SiC power module in harsh conditions to evaluate the switching energy losses. Secondly, a finite element thermal analysis based on Ansys-Icepak is accomplished to validate the selected cooling system for the power converter. Thirdly, a co-simulation model is developed using Matlab-Simulink and LTspice® to evaluate the SiC power module impact on the performance of a multiphase drive system at different operating conditions. The results obtained show that the dynamic performance and efficiency of the power drive are significantly improved, which makes the proposed system an excellent candidate for future aircraft applications. In this paper, we propose a control Lyapunov function based on a nonlinear controller for a turbocharged diesel engine. A model-based approach is used which predicts the experimentally observed engine performance for a biodiesel. The basic idea is to develop an inverse optimal control and to employ a Lyapunov function in order to achieve good performances. The obtained controller gain guarantees the global convergence of the system and regulates the flows for the variable geometry turbocharger as well as exhaust gas recirculation systems in order to minimize the NOx emission and the smoke of a biodiesel engine.
