One of the problems at the university level is the unmapped data of students so that executives on campus have difficulty in recompiling the data on the distribution of the student's domicile. In order for the executive to get supporting data in determining decisions so that promotion of university introduction can be spread to various regions, an information system for disseminating student data based on their domicile is needed. This research has implemented a leaflet map with the Extreme Programming (XP) system development method to visualize the student domicile map in the executive information system. In the previous study, only a node or point in the visualization of the distribution of student data, the researcher used a leaflet map because it was more visualizing with a color graphic showing the amount of data distribution.

XYZ is a company engaged in the port sector. To support the company’s business processes, XYZ uses two applications to carry out operational activities, namely the CARTOS application to manage invoices and the Finance application to record company costs and revenues. To produce a cost accounting report, XYZ is still processing and visualizing it manually with data sources from the two applications mentioned earlier. This resulted in quite a long time processing data into information. So that reporting to management cannot be done in real time. Therefore XYZ needs a system that can help management to analyze and manage data into information in real time. The Business Intelligence (BI) method is one of the solutions for company needs, especially in analyzing and providing access to data to help make better decisions. This study discusses the design and implementation of business intelligence solutions ranging from architecture, data warehouse, ETL processes and visualization in the form of a dashboard in accordance with the needs of XYZ. The method used in developing business intelligence dashboards refers to the executive information system life cycle method which consists of justification, planning, business analysis, design, construction, and dissemination. The results of this research are dashboard visualization using the Power BI tool that displays information and knowledge needed in the monitoring process and becomes material to produce management decisions related to cost accounting reports.

The marine security agency or called Bakamla is an institution that has the duty to carry out safeguards, supervision, prevention and enforcement of violations of law in the Indonesian sea area. Bakamla has a strategic role in safeguarding Indonesia's sea sovereignty, therefore Bakamla requires an Executive Information System (EIS) to be able to access data and information, so that problems can be identified, exploration of solutions, and become the basis for strategic marine security planning processes. The purpose of this study is to build an EIS prototype to monitor crime rates in the sea of Indonesia, this application was built with the waterfall method which is a sequential process design which in the process looks like a waterfall flow from the concept design process, project identification, analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation and maintenance. The EIS that was built has been able to integrate internal and external data with report output that is useful for managers and executives to find the best solution to crime in the Indonesian sea. The results of the EIS report on violations throughout 2016 in the Indonesian sea are: the western region is 165 crimes, the middle region is 118 crimes and the eastern region is 64 crimes. The crimes that occurred in the Indonesian sea were recorded by EIS based on the type of crime, where they occurred, the perpetrators and the state's losses due to the crime. With this EIS Bakamla easily made strategic decisions to minimize crime in the Indonesian sea.

This paper presents and demonstrates the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) by adopting two approaches. The first approach focuses on the evolution of the BSC and its applications in private and public, government & non-profit organizations. The second approach compares four related tools which can help organizations articulate and cascade their strategies. The main focus of this paper is to compare the BSC to three other tools in order to demonstrate the value of the BSC from different points of view. First, the BSC and Tableau de Bord are compared from the point of view of the performance measurement system. Second, the BSC and Executive Information System are compared from the point of view of the strategic management system. Finally, the BSC and Budgeting are compared from the point of view of the control system.

The following arguments will focus on three significant concerns: management by objectives, anonymous vs. signed survey, and statistical major requirements. 6.1 Management by Objectives (MBO) Because most healthcare services are mission-critical, the service quality promotion is the most important concern in healthcare management level. Managers emphasize on particular problems and figure out the real causes. Afterwards, they propose proper solutions to solve the problems. Obviously, they will define relevant indicators to monitor the execution outcomes. Therefore, most of the managers will utilize the PDCA cycle to track required targets and attempt to promote their objective services within a circular execution process. However, the PDCA cycle is one of the methods for promoting service quality within a short cycle process and is not quite suitable for a long cycle process. Meanwhile, MBO (Dinesh, 1998) with balanced scorecard (Kaplan, 1996) is a minimum requirement for promoting service qualities; it will restrict the scope of target. Furthermore, some of the accredited processes are not the major target for healthcare enterprise; they simply support certain methods for organization to understand their weak points and allude them for further quality promotions. 6.2 Anonymous vs. signed survey Broadly speaking, most of the potential users favour an anonymous survey. The survey will ultimately achieve better outcomes than a signed one. Similarly, such a situation exists in our healthcare enterprise. However, the NTUH remains using signed surveys to obtain system requirements from all users. These user-replied surveys might contain description on user's system requirements more clearly. Moreover, system analysts can understand the sources of their demands and subsequently make a better system implementation decision. It is a win-win solution, and no one loses under the situation. From December 2006 to January 2007, our research activates signed survey and anonymous survey, respectively, as depicted in Figure 4. Due to the time periods of two surveys performed are concatenated and almost overlapped, we believe that these survey outcomes are valid. The variances of signed and anonymous surveys are 9.51 and 14.10, respectively. Apparently, we learned that most of colleagues fear to fill-in the signed survey, and its scores are thus concentrated in-between 60~89. However, as the 2007 anonymous survey scores are also concentrated at the same score level, but the distribution will be more reasonable than the 2006 one; most of the colleagues honestly provide their scores.

PT GMF AeroAsia is one that always tries to increase its productivity. PT GMF AeroAsia is a company engaged in aircraft maintenance or known as Maintenance Repair and Overhoul (MRO). PT GMF AeroAsia always tries to improve its performance through increased manhours productivity. If the productivity productivity increases every year, the company's revenue or revenue can increase as well, thus the company will progress and develop to be equal to the world's top ten (10) Maintenance and Overhoul (MRO) companies as the vision of PT GMF AeroAsia is to become a top ten MRO in the World. Therefore, the research will be carried out by analyzing the performance through manhours productivity in every maintenance project in the base maintenance, especially in cabin base maintenance. In this study, an executive information system (EIS) in the form of a dashboard for decision makers such as managers, general managers and vice presidents will be proposed. The aim is as a source of information to identify, control performance and can help and support as a source of information for leaders in deciding wise and strategic decisions on performance, especially the performance of cabin base maintenance units at PT GMF AeroAsia

Purpose: Developing an executive information system to meet the information needs of the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Regional Secretary and the heads of SKPD within the Cirebon City Government.Design / method / approach: Using the drill down method for solving information on executive information systems and the GRAPPLE system development methodResult: The development of an executive information system in Cirebon city government has assisted the executive, consisting of mayors, deputy mayors and regional secretaries and middle executives consisting of skpd within the Cirebon city government. Cirebon city government executive information system consists of five sectors in the city of Cirebon, namely economy, health, population, education and government. The results of the validation testing are 100% and the average user acceptance testing results are 85.29%.Authenticity / state of the art: Based on previous research, this study has the same characteristics but in the development of executive information systems it has differences in objects and methods of software development.

Objectives To describe serious incidents occurring in the management of patient remains after their death. Design Incidents occurring after patient deaths were analysed using content analysis to determine what happened, why it happened and the outcome. Setting The Strategic Executive Information System database of serious incidents requiring investigation occurring in the National Health Service in England. Participants All cases describing an incident that occurred following death, regardless of the age of the patient. Main outcome measures The nature of the incident, the underlying cause or causes of the incident and the outcome of the incident. Results One hundred and thirty-two incidents were analysed; these related to the storage, management or disposal of deceased patient remains. Fifty-four incidents concerned problems with the storage of bodies or body parts. Forty-three incidents concerned problems with the management of bodies, including 25 errors in postmortem examination, or postmortems on the wrong body. Thirty-one incidents related to the disposal of bodies, 25 bodies were released from the mortuary to undertakers in error; of these, nine were buried or cremated by the wrong family. The reported underlying causes were similar to those known to be associated with safety incidents occurring before death and included weaknesses in or failures to follow protocol and procedure, poor communication and informal working practices. Conclusions Serious incidents in the management of deceased patient remains have significant implications for families, hospitals and the health service more broadly. Safe mortuary care may be improved by applying lessons learned from existing patient safety work.

Information efficiency is determined through the amount of information that is required to ensure the coordination and motivation processes. We discuss four organizational design strategies aimed at improving information efficiency. Two of them are associated with a reduction of the amount of information required for management: creation of buffers (stocks of raw materials, work in progress and surplus resources) and system decomposition into independent operating units. Two other strategies are aimed at increasing the organization capabilities to process information, i.e. develop information systems and create a context facilitating information exchange. It is shown that the strategy of creating buffers leads to inefficiency, but it spontaneously occurs under conditions of the lack of information. The implementation of other strategies requires the organization’s efforts. The policy of measuring the information efficiency of the organization is discussed, and since at present it is hardly possible to develop a single method, it is recommended that one use benchmarking. Estimates of the information volumes which are being handled by high-technology machine-building enterprises in Russia and abroad are provided. It is demonstrated that due to underdevelopment of the technological infrastructure domestic enterprises are forced to process overly great amounts of data, which leads to information overload and, as a consequence, creation of buffers at all production stages. The result is an overall inefficiency of the enterprise as compared to similar foreign enterprises, and this gap cannot be overcome only by creation of enterprise information systems. In this regard, we present an example of production system decomposition which enables one to reduce the amounts of management information.

Aim/Purpose: This journal paper seeks to understand historical aspects of data management, leading to the current data issues faced by organizational executives in relation to big data and how best to present the information to circumvent big data challenges for executive strategic decision making. Background: This journal paper seeks to understand what executives value in data visualization, based on the literature published from prior data studies. Methodology: The qualitative methodology was used to understand the sentiments of executives and data analysts using semi-structured interview techniques. Contribution: The preliminary findings can provide practical knowledge for data visualization designers, but can also provide academics with knowledge to reflect on and use, specifically in relation to information systems (IS) that integrate human experience with technology in more valuable and productive ways. Findings: Preliminary results from interviews with executives and data analysts point to the relevance of understanding and effectively presenting the data source and the data journey, using the right data visualization technology to fit the nature of the data, creating an intuitive platform which enables collaboration and newness, the data presenter’s ability to convey the data message and the alignment of the visualization to core the objectives as key criteria to be applied for successful data visualizations Recommendations for Practitioners: Practitioners, specifically data analysts, should consider the results highlighted in the findings and adopt such recommendations when presenting data visualizations. These include data and premise understanding, ensuring alignment to the executive’s objective, possessing the ability to convey messages succinctly and clearly to the audience, having knowledge of the domain to answer questions effectively, and using the right technology to convey the message. Recommendation for Researchers: The importance of human cognitive and sensory processes and its impact in IS development is paramount. More focus can be placed on the psychological factors of technology acceptance. The current TAM model, used to describe use, identifies perceived usefulness and perceived ease-of-use as the primary considerations in technology adoption. However, factors that have been identified that impact on use do not express the importance of cognitive processes in technology adoption. Future Research: Future research requires further focus on intangible and psychological factors that could affect technology adoption and use, as well as understanding data visualization effectiveness in corporate environments, not only predominantly within the Health sector. Lessons from Health sector studies in data visualization should be used as a platform.

Emerging ubiquitous and intelligent information systems, such as the Internet, social computing technologies and artificial intelligence (AI), have facilitated the increasing complexity and dynamism of operational and strategic information in a highly distributed environment. As a result, organizations have been busy seeking approaches and tools to support senior managers in coping with this challenge, from organizational learning to knowledge management, from competitive intelligence to business intelligence, and from management information systems to strategic (executive) information systems. Before embarking on formulating and developing these approaches and tools, senior managers’ informational roles and information behavior should be understood. This paper explores factors influencing and shaping existing senior managers’ information behavior in order to shed light on value-added approaches or technological solutions for supporting and improving informational roles of senior managers. The findings show that information behavior of senior managers is influenced and shaped by a number of factors, mainly the organizational actors and organizational situations, followed by their affective responses and the use of technological tools.

Teacher engagement is a newly-emerged concept in the field of Indonesian teacher education. To support this concept, we designed an artificial neural network (ANN) using backpropagation, stochastic learning, and steepest gradient descent algorithms to determine teacher engagement based on the Indonesian Teacher Engagement Index (ITEI). The resulting ANN may be used in a data-gathering website for teachers to use for self-evaluation and self-intervention. The optimal architecture for the ANN has 44 input nodes, 26 first hidden layer nodes, 20 second hidden layer nodes, and 7 output nodes, with a learning rate of 0.05 and trained over 5000 iterations. The sample data used for training was gathered by ITEI researchers and the Executive Board of Indonesian Teachers Association (Pengurus Besar Persatuan Guru Republik Indonesia, PB-PGRI) and includes data of teachers from all around Indonesia. The maximum accuracy of this ANN was 97.98%. The sample data were then used to create an executive information system presented in the form of a map created using ArcGIS Pro software.

Background: Given the digital transformation in currently emerging digital era in Financial Service Industry; marked by the rise of Fintech; Financial Service Authority (FSA) is challenged to mitigate new type of risks that are introduced by it. As first step, Indonesia FSA seeks for an effective and efficient way to present up-to-date Strategic Information to its Top Executive Leaders to enable informed strategic decision making. Objective: This study aimed to find the solution to provide information strategic information to Indonesia FSA executives at any-time any-where. The researchers hypothesize that mobile Executive Information System could effectively serve the purpose. Methods: The research activities are laid out based on the Unified Process (UP) Methodology and use Unified Modelling Language (UML) diagrams to communicate the design. At the end of the study, a survey-based on TAM2 is conducted to confirm the study result. The survey is tested to measure its validity, reliability and correlation analysis using SPSS. Results: The study produce mobile executive information system (m-EIS) geared with the latest UI technology framework; Quasar; and microservice pattern. The m-EIS is deployed and implemented. The survey result shows the overall users’ acceptance of the implementation. Conclusion: The study recommends the further enhancement of m-EIS and highlights limitation of the current study for which future study could address and improve. The advancement of information technology has had a tremendous impact in assisting executives in making decisions. The executive information system is one of the best methods to help the leader or executive to make decisions effectively and efficiently. Not all work and procurement of goods is carried out by employees or staff of PT. Pelindo I, however, was carried out through an auction process. So far, the data collection process has been done using Microsoft Excel. Many weaknesses that occur, namely the data is not realtime and the leader cannot see the information directly and the data displayed cannot help the leader make decisions quickly. Therefore, an Executive Information System is needed so that the leadership can see directly the status of the existing auction at PT. Pelindo I. The purpose of this research is to design and build an executive information system at PT. Pelindo I with the iconix process method to display the status of the auction. The stages in designing an application using the Iconix Process method consist of nine stages, namely the process of requirements analysis, preparation of a domain model, GUI storyboard, use case diagrams, robustness diagrams, sequence diagrams, domain updates model, class diagram, implementation. The result of this research is to produce an application that displays a report on the status of the existing auction at PT. Pelindo in 2019 which is more efficient by using the iconix process method. The report that is displayed is in the form of data on contract completion, still in process, failed and returned.

Many companies are using only a portion of what is needed in terms of Information Technologies (IT) and this has caused the researcher to study how best MSD can effectively utilize Management Information Systems (MIS). The objective that directed the study was to investigate value addition by information systems to a service providing business with specific reference to the weather station in Zimbabwe (Meteorological Services Department). Knowing the value added by MIS to one’s business and working environment is key to cope with the ever increasing challenges such as the volume of information resources, nature and quality of information, user needs and expectations, information and communication technology competencies and infrastructure, inflated cost of information resources and staffing needs. The researcher studied how information systems add value to the daily business of Meteorological Services Department (MSD) in the following areas of the organisation processes: products, quality, management, problem solving and decision of the organisation. The study on value addition by management information systems will assist in the improvement of the MSD in Zimbabwe. The study used a multistage sampling process for drawing sample from the target population. Secondary and primary data collection methods were used for data collection purposes. The source for primary data was questionnaire. Five different types of Management Information Systems that add value to the MSD were identified; Management Information Systems, Office Automation Systems, Executive Support Systems, Expert Systems, Decision Support System and Transaction Processing System. From the findings it was concluded that management information systems add value by allowing valid decisions which provide accurate and up-to-date information and performing analytic functions. This study demonstrated the importance of information systems in an organisation and outlined the fundamental roles of Information Systems (IS) which are to support business processes and operation, support decision making by employees and managers and support strategies for competitive advantage.

Information Technology being an inevitable part of our lives changes the way of doing business every five or eight years. This known as technological cycle. The technology we use today becomes obsolete in several years’ time and managers have to adapt themselves to new systems and new management styles. When big data is so big and important, its usage for business planning and decision making is getting more crucial as well. Business Intelligence tools or Executive Information Systems are improving their ability with the help of the Big Data available. Executives may use the merits of new systems when they make their decisions easily and more accurately as subordinates do when they use computers for daily business operations. Today's software systems can help the top management with making long term business decisions as much as they can with tactical and operational activities. However, it is difficult to say that those tools are being used by the top managements as they should be. Executives avoid using them for different purposes. They may not refuse them but might simply think it is not the right time to depend on such a system when they make business plans. In this study ten interviews have been conducted with the top executives of the firms which are doing business in various sectors. The executives talked about how or how much they use Executive Information Systems when they make decisions. The findings of the study partly cover expectations or anticipations of the authors.

Information and data are the important assets for a company. To process data into useful information and getting to be knowledge in the decision making process at management level, there are so many companies which have difficulties, including PT XYZ which was engaging in the production of agricultural materials. PT XYZ had the difficulties in monitoring process and decision-making process related to its main business, sales and account receivable. Business Intelligence dashboard could be the best solution to overcome these problems. This research discusses related design, construction and implementation of business intelligence solutions dashboard starting from the architecture business intelligence, data warehouse in form of a data mart, ETL (extraction, transformation, and loading) process are useful for generating the quality of data, and visualization in the form of dashboard that would represent key business process with XYZ company. The method used in the development of business intelligence dashboard refers to the six-step method of executive information system that is of the justification, planning, business analysis, design, construction, deployment that would generate digital dashboard for level management. The result is a website application consisting of three digital dashboards that become visualization tools to display the information and knowledge needed in the monitoring process and become material to produce decisions related to sales and receivables. The BI solutions that are developed are in line with expectations and can meet the business needs of PT XYZ.

The system is also another concept that deals with the group of interrelated and connected entities, objects, tools, or facets. In other words, combinations of some subsystems are called Systems. Therefore, Systems in respect of the Information is called Information Systems. Information Systems is the way, tools, connected entities that are dedicated or responsible for the information related activities ranging from the collection, selection, organization, processing, management and dissemination. There are different contexts regarding Information Systems, in some contexts, it is also the electronic systems dedicated to information management and delivery to the organizations, institutions. In some contexts, it is the Computational way to preserve and deliver content and information. Information Systems in another context are the apex controlling mechanism of some of the divisional information systems such as Executive Information Systems, Decision Support Systems, etc. which helps in Information related activities to the organizations. Even Information System is also considered as a branch or field of study internationally. This paper is a theoretical one and mentioned the aspects of systems including their foundations, applications of systems, information systems including their foundation, types, nature, and emerging characteristics. The paper also highlights the academic availability and potentiality of Information Systems.

Hospital Application Executive Information System is a system that provides information for executives about the overall performance of a company or agency. Hospital has the function and objective of health service facilities which provide service activities in the form of outpatient services, inpatient services, emergency services, referral services which include medical record services and medical support and are used for education, training and research for health workers. With the existence of this executive information system, it becomes a combination of the Management Information System (MIS) with the Decision Support System (DSS) and AIat to help executives identify the basis of a problem and find a solution. So it is not impossible that the executives of Tugurejo Hospital need information that is useful, accurate and fast. However, based on the survey and interviews the author conducted, it was found that executives at these hospitals took a long time to get accurate information. This was partly due to the difficulties in functioning at the time of data collection, because the source data were not well organized and were still separated from one another, manual recording was still done and the lack of executive support facilities required for information. The right solution to solve this problem is to create an Executive Information System application based on web & mobile systems. With the development of a web & mobile-based Executive Information System this system is intended to help provide the information needed by Rs executives. Tugurejo to analyze or monitor the development of tugurejo hospital services in Semarang City that are faster and more focused through reports in the form of graphs or tables that can drilldown to a more specific level, so that the information received can be more easily understood and can see detailed information and can be accessed anywhere without time and space limits. While the method used to analyze the problem is the Fishbone Diagram. Current technological developments, in the activities of information search and decision making at the Faculty of Communication and Information Technology of the National University have not been effective. Because the amount of data available makes it difficult for users to find the specific data needed. Like looking for student data based on class, religion and gender. Therefore, the Executive Information System of the Faculty of Communication and Information Technology of the National University was designed to be web-based so that users could find the required data. Application trial results to search for student data, the system can display search results by force, religion and gender with 100% accuracy. In searching the system data lecturers can display search results based on their latest education, expertise and research with 100% accuracy. Then for the data search system teachers can display search results based on the latest education and expertise with 100% accuracy. The system can also display the number of students by force, the number of lecturers based on expertise and the number of education personnel based on recent education in graphical form

Indonesia has a big potential in the agriculture sector, paddy is the leading commodity in the food crop sub-sector. To achieve food self-sufficiency, the availability of paddy commodities information is needed to support stakeholders in making decisions. The problem presented in this paper is how to develop executive information system software that provides summarized information related to production, land area and productivity of paddy. To answer the question above, the following steps are needed: a. design and b. develop the Design process from this paper using the iconix process and result from the build process is an application Executive Information System (EIS). The application developed uses the drill-down graphics and what-if analysis facility to display land area, production, and productivity, the information displayed provides valuable insights into the industry and helps in decision making.

Business Intelligence (BI) is a subject in Information Communication and Technology (ICT) that focuses on the process of how to present data in various tables, charts and graphs. This subject supports higher level management in making decisions in an organization or company. One part of BI that relates to how data is presented on dashboards or through the Internet, is called Executive Information Systems (EIS). As long as the world is changing due to the development of information systems, technologies and the Internet, people in every country realize that information is very important. The National Civil Servant Agency (NCSA) is an Indonesian federal institution that focuses on the management of Indonesian civil servants and the NCSA participates in the national RB Project. To accomplish the purpose of the RB Project, NCSA has begun to use business intelligence by creating EIS dashboards from civil servant databases based on the demands of Indonesian citizens. The function of EIS is to help people to understand NCSA assignments. This function is not only to help people understand the terms of information disclosure but also for NCSA EIS to help the Indonesian government analyze the civil servant annual budget and to predict the needs of new civil servant candidates.

В статті проведено дослідження складових та цілей інформаційної системи управління (ІСУ). Основним завданням її є надання аналітичної інформації керівництву підприємства для подальшої розробки стратегії. Здійснено аналіз видів та компонент таких інформаційних систем як обробки транзакцій, підтримки прийняття рішень, виконавчих інформаційних системи, управління інформацією. Для ефективної доставки інформації, інформаційні системи управління повинні мати необхідні компоненти для збору, обробки, зберігання та отримання інформації. Використовують наступні чотири компоненти: інформаційна система, система управління базами даних, система розвідки та система досліджень. Основними завданнями ІСУ є отримання інформації керівниками структурних підрозділів, збір даних, сприяння співробітництву на робочому місці, прогнозування стану компанії в короткостроковій і довгостроковій перспективі шляхом реалізації можливих сценаріїв, аналіз виконання конкретних рішень в компанії. Використання в повній мірі можливостей інформаційних систем дозволяє розробляти управлінські рішення ефективніше, що дає змогу досягти повного потенціалу, таким чином отримати конкурентну перевагу. Методи розробки інформаційної системи управління підприємством в основному включають метод структурованого життєвого циклу, метод прототипу і об'єктно-орієнтований метод. У практичному застосуванні оптимальним методом розвитку є вибір до специфічного стану інформаційної системи управління на промислових підприємствах. Критеріями відбору є масштаб, ступінь складності та інструментарій розробки. Its main objective is to provide analytical information to the management of the enterprise for further development of strategy. The analysis of types and a components of such information systems as processing of transactions, support of decision-making, executive information systems, management of information has been done. For effective delivery of information, information management systems have to have necessary components for collecting, processing, storage and obtaining information. Use the following four components: information system, database management system, system of investigation and system of researches. The main objectives of IMS is obtaining information by heads of structural divisions, data collection, assistance to cooperation in a workplace, forecasting of a condition of the company in the short-term and long term by implementation of possible scenarios, the analysis of implementation of concrete decisions in the company. Use fully of opportunities of information systems allows to develop management decisions more effectively that allows to reach full potential, thus to get competitive advantage. Methods of development of the information management system by the enterprise generally include a method of the structured life cycle, a method of a prototype and an object-oriented method. In practical application an optimum method of development is the choice to specific conditions of the information management system at the industrial enterprises. Selection criteria are the scale, degree of complexity and tools of development. The use of an information management system allows the development in fierce competition.

Executive Information System (EIS) is a system established to provide information needed by the executive in the decision making process. This information technology is not only used in business activities, but can help an executive in getting an accurate concise picture of the organization. The development of the Executive Information System is used to improve the quality of control and supervision in the Household Section of the Lampung Provincial General Administration Bureau on government official vehicle maintenance expenditures. The research design is classified as Casual Comperative Research. This study aims to develop and implement EIS in the Household Section of the Lampung Provincial Government General Bureau and establish EIS as an implementation of clean government and good government. This system reduces the occurrence of data accumulation and redundancy, so as to prevent the occurrence of indications of corruption, and makes it easier for executives to verify vehicle maintenance data with fairness and rationality with the amount of budget submission. The method used in this study is EIS starting from the stages of planning, implementation, software testing, documentation, deployment and maintenance. So that EIS can control and provide supervision on vehicle maintenance data manipulation that embodies clean government and good government. Providing easy access for university executives that refers to key success factors is a must for universities. The information system integrates with all departments to obtain fast and accurate information for decision making. The purpose of this paper is to determine the factors that affect the application of executive information systems in universities in view of technological factors, data factors and internal factors of college. The results will be used by all stakeholders of higher education internally and externally. Internal side for the purposeof improving the quality and performance of universities, while the external side can be utilized for the purpose of the institution accreditation process. The method used is to collect research results relating to executive information systems in colleges and review based on predetermined keywords and analyze the results of reviews into a complete report.

During natural disasters, a significant amount of information is shared over the Internet. Therefore, it is desirable to provide disaster information based on information about individual users. However, there is a trade-off between the protection of user information and the quality of services that should be considered when providing disaster information. We propose a method that rationally determines the extent of user information to be disclosed. The effectiveness of the proposed method was evaluated experimentally. The experiments were conducted using the proposed method and a simple determination method wherein both the utility and intention of the user were considered relative to the extent of user information disclosure. In addition, the extent to which the trade-off was considered for each user was evaluated quantitatively.

In this article, the identification and the analysis of the problem in facilitating the role management information systems have been studied. Moreover, the decision maker’s satisfaction and content of information and information access quality have been critically analyzed and studied following the methodology of the previous studies. We identified necessary variables aiming to analyze the influence of management information systems in decision support capabilities. Precisely, this investigation proposes different hypotheses most of which aims to identify the relationship between management information systems and decision support capabilities. The variables included in the research model are the impact on problem definition, speed of problem identification, decision-making analysis, user satisfaction, information access, the content of information quality, decision speed, and decision quality.

In today’s modern age, information systems are of vital importance for successful performance of any organization. The most important role of any information system is its information support. This paper develops an information support model and presents the results of the survey examining the effects of such model. The survey was performed among the employees of Brčko District Government and comprised three phases. The first phase assesses the influence of the quality of information support and information on information support when making decisions. The second phase examines the impact of information support when making decisions on the perceived availability and user satisfaction with information support. The third phase examines the effects of perceived usefulness as well as information support satisfaction on user loyalty. The model is presented using six hypotheses, which were tested by means of a multivariate regression analysis. The demonstrated model shows that the quality of information support and information is of vital importance in the decision-making process. The perceived usefulness and customer satisfaction are of vital importance for continuous usage of information support. The model is universal, and if slightly modified, it can be used in any sphere of life where satisfaction is measured for clients and users of some service.

It is important for knowledge workers in the business sector to have access to information on companies, countries, investment opportunities, and projects. Survey of information finding practices of professionals in Kuwaiti companies showed that use of web sites, internal reports, and consulting with colleagues were preferred approaches for finding work related information. Business professionals also frequently used organizational sites, reports from financial analysts, business information services, and social media in seeking information. They listed lack of adequate information in databases and non-availability of information related to local financial situation as barriers to effective information finding. They considered their information finding skills as reasonable but wanted to get more training in searching online databases and web-based sources. The study showed that business organizations ought to make arrangements that frequently used sources were accessible to their employees on regular basis. It is also desirable that training in information skills is arranged by for enhanced information literacy at work.

Knowledge, information and people are the motive force in today's organizations. Successful organizations need to find the right employees and provide them with the right and high-quality information. This is a complex problem. In the world where information plays more and more important role, employees have to be skilled at information activities (searching, processing, saving, etc. of information) and information system/-s (IS) they work with. Organizations have to cover both these areas. Therefore, we need an effective instrument, which could be used to evaluate new employees within admission or as regular evaluating of current employees, to evaluate information system, whether it is an appropriate tool for fulfilling the employee’s tasks within the organization, and to evaluate how the organization covers the foregoing areas. Such instrument is the “Evaluation methodology of information support in organization”. This paper defines the term “information support“ and its role in organization. The body of the paper proposes the “Evaluation methodology of information support in organization”. The conclusion discusses contributions of information support evaluation.

Context: Executive information systems (EIS) are valuable tools that enable executives to formulate and execute strategic decisions in their organizations. However, implementation of an EIS is complex and laden with numerous risks.Objective: We apply the socio-technical model (STM) to propose a framework of risks for the development and implementation of an EIS. Such a framework may serve to guide risk management strategies and procedures beyond current practices.Method: To assess, and better understand, the risks associated with implementing an EIS, interviews were conducted with the employees of three principle stakeholders of a taxation EIS. The interviews centered on the detailed experiences of the participants applying and working with EIS projects at their respective organizations.Results: Content analysis of the interviews confirmed an ability to designate risks to both the project and the product of development through dimensions of task, actor, structure and technology as well as the fit between each combination. The result adds credence to the model for purposes of risk management in the development of an EIS.Conclusion: Executive information systems play an integral role in business decision making. The successful construction and implementation of an EIS are reliant upon a clear understanding of the appropriate technology to be used, the end-user accessing the system, and the tasks executed. The STM is a useful tool for the identification of risks in the creation of an EIS. Further work should consider the extendability to other systems and its compatibility with development approaches.

Information support model of management control is provided for building an integrated information system which collects detailed information about the state of the company on the strategic, tactical and operational levels of management and directions. Its construction is based on the concept of 4Ms and the pyramid of efficiency. The exact model designed for information support of management control has been formed by assessing 3 alternative models (conviction, cooperation and pragmatism) and selected on the basis of the strategy of the company, its specifics and existing features of the environment in which it functions. Taking into account the factors of instability in the formation of information support of management control for managerial decision-making it is reasonable to rely on such methods as adjustments, risk analysis and sensitivity analysis. Based on Arrow's impossibility theorem and the existing state of the management control systems regarding determination of groups of indicators, which will be monitoring effectiveness, it is expedient to introduce a dictatorial approach.

The use of the management information systems has become necessary for any organization to improve efficiency, productivity , and improve performance in general. The field of management information systems in Yemeni companies still dealing with issues in adopting the technologies and success factors. This study attempts to focus deeply on the factors that lead to successful adoption of management information systems (MIS) in Yemeni organizations. This paper investigates the relationship between technological factors (system quality, information quality, and service quality), organizational factors (top management support, and user training), and people factors (computer self-efficacy, and user experience) with organizational performance, focusing on people who are always associated with MIS in their work. This study found that there are positive correlated relationship between system quality, information quality, service quality, top management support, user training, computer self-efficacy, and user experience with organizational performance at Sabafon Company in Yemen.

Integrating Business Intelligence (BI) processes in an information system requires a form of strategic scanning system for which the information is the main source of efficiency and decision support. A process of strategic scanning system network is primarily a cooperative approach to sharing knowledge that actors are "producers" of information. The dynamics of the actor’s interactions allow gradual building of shared knowledge. This paper proposes Multi Agent System (MAS) architecture which facilitates the integration of a process of strategic scanning system network in the information system, to emerge relevant information from simple information while ensuring the quality and safety information . In particular, this approach is geared towards supporting system properties specially focused on cooperative multi-agent system. It gives finally an overview of implementation of a prototype of the proposed solution limited for the moment to the integration of processes most used in the majority of information systems.

El presente trabajo de investigación desarrolla los indicadores del Vicerrectorado Académico, capturados dela necesidad de los clientes. Estos son modelados y desarrollados a través de las tecnologías de BI (BusinessIntelligence), las cuales tienen como objetivo mostrar la situación económica. La investigación se ha desarrolladobasada en EIS (Executive Information System) y la Metodología Kimball, para implementar e implantarel proyecto de BI (Business Intelligence). Se ha hecho una optimización del ciclo de vida de la metodologíade Kimball según sus fases. El caso de estudio es el sistema financiero del área académica de la UniversidadPeruana Unión, la cual maneja diferentes procesos como son: PMDE (Plan Maestro de Desarrollo Espiritual),Proyección Social y Extensión Universitaria, Enseñanza Aprendizaje e Investigación. Se decide por un softwarelibre para el desarrollo de la solución y se elige la herramienta de Pentaho BI. Como solución de Inteligencia deNegocios se diseña un datamart. En este trabajo de investigación se explica ampliamente para la implementaciónde un proyecto utilizando la herramienta Pentaho. La implementación consiste en diferentes etapas de BI, desdeel análisis ETL hasta los reportes o explotación por vía web. Este proyecto servirá como base para proyectos deesta naturaleza o similares.

Background: Executives are steering organisations in our most turbulent economic times, whereby market disrupters are becoming the norm that are eradicating entire value chains of organisations. It is for this reason that decision support mechanisms for executives have become more critical than ever before. We have seen many leading organisations being reduced to market followers. This leaves many critical questions: What could the executives of those prior leading organisations have done to prevent this? Does the information that is being presented at various senior committees for decisions in an organisation contain information quality and is information quality linked to decisions made by executives? Objectives: This article presents mathematical evidence that information quality does form part of an executive decision support framework (EDSF) and confirms that information quality should form part of an EDSF. Method: A mixed method research approach was then followed where semi-structured interviews were held with chief information officers. The semi-structured interviews thereafter informed the survey questionnaires design. The survey questionnaires were statistically analysed using structural equation modelling and the maximum likelihood estimates method, to mathematically prove if information quality does form part of an EDSF. Results: This research provides evidence that information quality is linked to an EDSF and that information quality should form part of an EDSF. Conclusion: It is clear, therefore, that information quality is mathematically linked to an EDSF. Although information quality is made up of other latent variables that affect it, there is a strong correlation between information quality and an EDSF.

Data management is very necessary in an institution to facilitate data processing. One of them is Islamic education institutions or Islamic boarding schools that have developed nformation systems for Islamic boarding school. In building a boarding school information system, applications and data are needed. Data architecture obtained from a hierarchy of information systems consisting of executive information systems, management informations systems, and transaction processing systems. Architecture design of information systems for Islamic boarding school is done by building an ERD (Entity Relationship Diagram) from a collection of data needed on boarding school information systems. ERD is a database building model by describing relations between database entities.

A study of socio-economic nature of control is discussed in the article. There are revealed behavioral and managerial aspects of the control function of management in the scientific work. It contains the author's approach to the analysis of control as part of improving information flows of the company. A table comparing the role of information systems are made for the management of the company as a whole and for the control functions in particular. There are presented potential of information technologies to improve the efficiency of the control in the organization.

The Method that we need for Developing this System is by using the Fuzzy Mamdani Logic Method, there are 4 Steps to bring the Output of this Method 1.) Creating a Fuzzy set, 2.) Application of Function Implication 3.) Composition Law, 4.) Defuzzification. Based on this research, we will make a comparison between Manual Calculation and System Calculation, with the Accuracy 100%. The final result of this Method can be referenced for System Executive to Analyze the Student that should be given a Warning or Drop Out.
