Abstract

Fine-Grained Image Recognition (FGIR) is a fundamental and challenging task in computer vision and multimedia that plays a crucial role in Intellectual Economy and Industrial Internet applications. However, the absence of a unified open-source software library covering various paradigms in FGIR poses a significant challenge for researchers and practitioners in the field. To address this gap, we present Hawkeye, a PyTorch-based library for FGIR with deep learning. Hawkeye is designed with a modular architecture, emphasizing high-quality code and human-readable configuration, providing a comprehensive solution for FGIR tasks. In Hawkeye, we have implemented 16 state-of-the-art fine-grained methods, covering 6 different paradigms, enabling users to explore various approaches for FGIR. To the best of our knowledge, Hawkeye represents the first open-source PyTorch-based library dedicated to FGIR. 8. Influence of ion‐induced lattice stress and phase transition on the irradiation resistance of high‐entropy ceramics.

Abstract

The influence of ion irradiation on intrinsic lattice stress and phase transition is closely related to the irradiation resistance of high‐entropy ceramics. In this study, the ion‐induced response of high‐entropy‐stabilized o‐(ZrHfTiSn)O2 ceramic was investigated under Au2+ irradiation with different fluences. The results revealed that high‐fluence irradiation caused the minimal (orthorhombic‐to‐triclinic) phase transformation underneath the ion‐induced amorphous layer via. fast fourier transformation (FFT) pattern. The cation recombination led to cation rearrangement followed by the increase of lattice expansion induced stress. The lattice stability of residual crystal grains in the mixed layer was significantly improved after lattice rearrangement. This was evidenced by the fact that the X‐ray diffraction profile of the lattice remained unchanged, whereas the selected area electron diffraction (SAED) image exhibited drastic variations with the increase of irradiation fluence. Therefore, irradiation‐induced lattice rearrangement seems to be a reliable way to improve radiation resistance of high‐entropy ceramics. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

11. Chorus wave properties and background plasma parameters data for article 'Statistical Properties of Lower Band Rising Tone Chorus Waves'

Abstract

The data are the chorus wave properties:time duration (s), chirping rate (Hz/s), frequency width (Hs),maximum amplitude (nT), L-shell, and MLT.We analyze 8 years rising tone lower-band chorus events from 2012 to 2019. Thedata is from burst mode waveform of Electric and Magnetic Field Instrument Suite and Integrated Science (EMFISIS) instrument onboard the Van Allen Probe A. The background plasma parameters are:\(f_{\rm pe}/f_{\rm ce}\)and \(\beta_{\perp}\). In fig1.mat, "chorus_number_bins" is the number of chorus events in each bins. In fig2.mat, the "InitialTime" is the initial time ofvalid waveform.In fig3.mat, we show the mean value of wave properties in each L-MLT bins,the unit of time duration is ms. The "ratio_mean_bins" is the mean value of\(f_{pe}/f_{ce}\)in each bin. We use\(f_{ce }\)to normalize the chorustime duration, chirping rate, and frequency width. Wave amplitude is normalized by the equatorial ambient magnetic field strength.

Abstract

As a kind of efficient adsorptive material, hydrogel has a wide application prospect within different fields, owing to its unique 3D network structures composed of polymers. In this paper, different synthetic strategies, crosslinking methods and their corresponding limitations and outstanding contributions of applications in the fields of removing environmental pollutants are reviewed to further provide a prospective view of their applications in water resources sustainability. Furthermore, the applications within the biomedical field, especially in wound dressing, are also reviewed in this paper, mainly due to their unique water retention ability, antibacterial ability, and good biocompatibility. 28. Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices of Sanitation and Hygiene among Primary School Students in Rural Area of Northeast China

Abstract

Disease burden due to unsafe water, lack of sanitation, and poor hygiene behavior requires attention. In developing countries, poor school hygiene behavior remains high-risk and causes infectious disease among students. Safe hygiene behavior such as hand washing with soap can protect children from infectious disease. However, a cross-sectional study found the correct rate of hand washing of Chinese people was only 4%. Our research evaluated the knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) of sanitation and hygiene among school children in the rural area of Northeast China. Participants were 333 groups of students and their parents. A questionnaire was used in the participants who reported the score of KAP level of sanitation and hygiene. Hand washing skill was checked following a checklist. Observation of sanitation facilities at school was also conducted. The questionnaires included participant characteristic, household socioeconomic status, and KAP questionnaire. The results of the questionnaires survey showed more than 80% of students had adequate knowledge of proper hygiene. Although students have sufficient knowledge about hygiene, lack of facilities may negatively affect their practice. There was no soap available in 2 schools, 53% of students reported it affects their hand washing performance at school. The results indicated the impact of gender, facilities and knowledge level on behavior. Our findings underscore the need for more hygiene education and the improvement of sanitation and hygiene facilities in the area.

Abstract

We conducted reliability characterization under reverse-bias stress (i.e., stress at OFF-state with high VDS) on the E-mode GaN metal–insulator–semiconductor field-effect-transistors (MIS-FETs) with various substrate terminations. The MIS-FETs with floating substrate (FS) show worse threshold voltage (VTH) stability than that with a grounded substrate. A non monotonic dependence of VTH shifts and OFF-state time-to-breakdown (tbd) on the positive substrate bias (Vsub) was also observed. The underlying mechanisms are the different impacts of positive Vsub on the drift of electrons and holes during the long-term stress. An important indication is that positive-biased and FS terminations should be restricted at OFF-state in order to obtain good VTH stability in applications of the GaN MIS-FET. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
