Bu çalışmada süreksizlik koşullarına sahip süreksiz katsayılı difüzyon operatörü ele alınmıştır. Tez, giriş ve üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümü, konunun önemini ve spektral teorideki yerini göstermektedir. Birinci bölümde, diferansiyel operatörlerin spektral teorisinde sık kullanılan önemli tanım ve teoremler verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde verilen denklemin belirli başlangıç ve süreksizlik koşullarını sağlayan çözümleri için integral denklemler elde edilmiş, difüzyon denklemi için oldukça kullanışlı olan integral gösterilim verilmiş ve bu gösterilim kullanılarak sınır değer probleminin özdeğer ve özfonksiyonlarının önemli özellikleri araştırılmıştır. Son olarak üçüncü bölümde ise ele alınan difüzyon operatörleri için ters problemlere yer verilmiştir. Verilen problemin katsayılarının Weyl fonksiyonu yardımıyla tek türlü belirlenebileceği ispatlanmış ve (?/2,?) aralığı üzerinde p(x) ve q(x) fonksiyonları verildiğinde (0,?) üzerinde p(x), q(x) fonksiyonlarını ve problemin katsayılarını tek olarak belirlemek için bir tek spektrumun yeterli olduğu gösterilmiştir. In this work impulsive diffusion operator with discontinuous coefficient is considered. This thesis consists of introduction and three chapters. In the introduction, important of subject and location in spectral theory are shown. In the first chapter, important definitions and theorems which are used frequently in spectral theory of differential operators are given. In the second chapter, integral equations for solution which satisfy certain initial and jump conditions of given equation has been obtained and useful integral representation for diffusion equation has been derived and then using derived represantation some important properties of eigenvalues and eigenfunctions have been investigated. Finally,.the last chapter, consist of the inverse problem. It has been proven that the coefficients of the given problem are uniquely determined by the Weyl function and it has been shown that if p(x) and q(x) is given on the interval (?/2,?), then one spectrum suffice to determine q(x), p(x) on the interval (0,?) and the coefficients of the problem. 107
