Objective To discuss and summarize the preventive measures and treatment methods for aspiration/ingestion during dental procedures. Methods One case of aspiration during an implant operation was reported, and the literature on aspiration/ingestion during oral procedures was reviewed. Results An implant screwdriver accidentally slipped into the mouth of the patient during implant surgery. The patient experienced no obvious discomfort except a few coughs. The surgeon and assistant paused the procedure immediately to search for the screwdriver, but it was not found. The patient declared that there was no special abnormality, such as breathing disorder or chest distress, so we considered that the foreign body was ingestion. After the implant surgery was completed, no foreign body was found in the stomach via gastroscopy. Chest X-ray and CT showed a dense metal shadow in the lower lobe of the left lung. Under local anesthesia, bronchoscopy and biopsy forceps were used by respiratory physicians to clip out the foreign body. After removal of the foreign body, the patient had no obvious discomfort but a slight cough. Cephalexin and metronidazole were given for three days to prevent infection. Three days later, the patient had no complaints of respiratory discomfort. After reviewing the literature, we found that the operation should be paused immediately after aspiration/ingestion occurs during dental procedures and that the dental chair should be laid down to prevent the foreign body from descending deeper, which may increase the difficulty of removal and cause gastrointestinal and respiratory tract injury. The position of the foreign body should be determined by imaging examination, and the corresponding means to remove the foreign body should be performed. Conclusion Patients may have no obvious symptoms after aspiration/ingestion during dental procedures, and the foreign body can be removed after imaging examination.

In response to the precision machining of frictionless aluminum alloy cylinder with anodized oxide films, a composite spiral abrasive flow polishing method was proposed. A simulation model was established to analyze the collision between particles and the wall in polishing processes, and he influences of particle velocity in different directions on polishing were investigated. The processing mechanism of the composite spiral abrasive flow polishing was revealed. The simulation results show hat the composite spiral motion changes the trajectory of the abrasive particles, and the addition of rotational velocity enhances the effective stress of the abrasive. The effective plastic deformation of the wall increases with the spiral groove speed. Particle image velocimetry observation experimental results demonstrate that the composite spiral motion increases the rotational velocity of the abrasives and enhances the vorticity of the flow field. The experimental results show that the composite spiral abrasive flow polishing not only causes less damages to the aluminum alloy anodized film, and effectively improves the surface quality of the workpieces. Swine enteric coronaviruses (SECs) cause significant economic losses to the pig industry in China. Although many commercialized vaccines against transmissible gastroenteritis virus (TGEV) and porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) are available, viruses are still widespread. The recent emergence of porcine deltacoronavirus (PDCoV) and swine acute diarrhea syndrome coronavirus (SADS-CoV), for which no vaccines are available, increases the disease burden. In this review, we first introduced the genomic organization and epidemiology of SECs in China. Then, we discussed the current vaccine development and application in China, aiming to provide suggestions for better prevention and control of SECs in China and other countries. Porcine epidemic diarrhoea virus (PEDV) is an emerging and re‐emerging epizootic virus of swine that causes substantial economic losses to the pig industry in China and other countries. The variations in the virus, and its co‐infections with other enteric viruses, have contributed to the poor control of PEDV infection. In the current study, a broad epidemiological investigation of PEDV was carried out in 22 provinces or municipalities of China during 2015–2018. The enteric viruses causing co‐infection with PEDV and the genetic diversity of the PEDV S1 gene were also analysed. The results indicated that, of the 543 diarrhoea samples, 66.85% (363/543) were positive for PEDV, and co‐infection rates of PEDV with 13 enteric viruses ranged from 3.58% (13/363) to 81.55% (296/363). Among these enteric viruses, the signs of diarrhoea induced by PEDV were potentially associated with co‐infections with porcine enterovirus 9/10 (PEV) and torque teno sus virus 2 (TTSuV‐2) (p <.05). The 147 PEDV strains identified in our study belong to Chinese pandemic strains and exhibited genetic diversity. The virulence‐determining S1 proteins of PEDV pandemic strains were undergoing amino acid mutations, in which S58_S58insQGVN–N135dup–D158_I159del‐like mutations were common patterns (97.28%, 143/147). When compared with 2011–2014 PEDV strains, the amino acid mutations of PEDV pandemic strains were mainly located in the N‐terminal domain of S1 (S1‐NTD), and 21 novel mutations occurred in 2017 and 2018. Furthermore, protein homology modelling showed that the mutations in pattern of insertion and deletion mutations of the S1 protein of PEDV pandemic strains may have caused structural changes on the surface of the S1 protein. Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) is a fatal infectious disease of wild and domestic cats, and the occurrence of FIP is frequently reported in China. To trace the evolution of type I and II feline coronavirus in China, 115 samples of ascetic fluid from FIP‐suspected cats and 54 fecal samples from clinically healthy cats were collected from veterinary hospitals in China. The presence of FCoV in the samples was detected by RT‐PCR targeting the 6b gene. The results revealed that a total of 126 (74.6%, 126/169) samples were positive for FCoV: 75.7% (87/115) of the FIP‐suspected samples were positive for FCoV, and 72.2% (39/54) of the clinically healthy samples were positive for FCoV. Of the 126 FCoV‐positive samples, 95 partial S genes were successfully sequenced. The partial S gene‐based genotyping indicated that type I FCoV and type II FCoV accounted for 95.8% (91/95) and 4.2% (4/95), respectively. The partial S gene‐based phylogenetic analyses showed that the 91 type I FCoV strains exhibited genetic diversity; the four type II FCoV strains exhibited a close relationship with type II FCoV strains from Taiwan. Three type I FCoV strains, HLJ/HRB/2016/10, HLJ/HRB/2016/11 and HLJ/HRB/2016/13, formed one potential new clade in the nearly complete genome‐based phylogenetic trees. Further analysis revealed that FCoV infection appeared to be significantly correlated with a multi‐cat environment (p < 0.01) and with age (p < 0.01). The S gene of the three type I FCoV strains identified in China, BJ/2017/27, BJ/2018/22 and XM/2018/04, exhibited a six nucleotide deletion (C4035AGCTC4040). Our data provide evidence that type I and type II FCoV strains co‐circulate in the FIP‐affected cats in China. Type I FCoV strains exhibited high prevalence and genetic diversity in both FIP‐affected cats and clinically healthy cats, and a multi‐cat environment and age (<6 months) were significantly associated with FCoV infection. The outer membrane protein RagB is one of the major virulence factors of the periodontal pathogen Porphyromonas gingivalis (P. gingivalis). In order to induce protective immune response against P. gingivalis infection, an mGITRL gene-linked ragB DNA vaccine (pIRES-ragB-mGITRL ) was constructed. Six-week-old female BALB/c mice were immunized with pIRES-ragB-mGITRL through intramuscular injection and then challenged by subcutaneous injection in the abdomen with P. gingivalis. RagB-specific antibody-forming cells were evaluated by an Enzyme-linked immunosorbent spot, and specific antibody was determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. In addition, the frequencies of Tfh and IFN-γ+ T cells in spleen were measured using flow cytometer, and the levels of IL-21 and IFN-γ mRNA or proteins were detected by real time RT-PCR or ELISA. The data showed that the mGITRL-linked ragB DNA vaccine induced higher levels of RagB-specific IgG in serum and RagB-specific antibody-forming cells in spleen. The frequencies of Tfh and IFN-γ+ T cells were obviously expanded in mice immunized by pIRES-ragB-mGITRL compared with other groups (pIRES or pIRES-ragB ). The levels of Tfh and IFN-γ+ T cells associated cytokines were also significantly increased in pIRES-ragB-mGITRL group. Therefore, the mice immunized with ragB plus mGITRL showed the stronger resistant to P. gingivalis infection and a significant reduction of the lesion size caused by P. gingivalis infection comparing with other groups. Taken together, our findings demonstrated that intramuscular injection of DNA vaccine ragB together with mGITRL induced protective immune response dramatically by increasing Tfh and IFN-γ+ T cells and antibody production to P. gingivalis. A uniform Ni-P-Al2O3 electroless plating layer was produced on medium carbon steel and then scanned by high-power continuous wave CO2 laser beam. The entire coating is divided into three regions: laser-strengthened region, transition zone, and heat-affected zone. The strengthened coating shows good performance characterized by uniform components and refined microstructures. The main phase is comprised of Ni3P with some non-equilibrium phases. The reinforced particles, Al2O3, are homogeneously dispersed in the coating. Its abrasive resistance also increases because of the Al2O3 particles. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract: Different laser surface hardening techniques, such as laser alloying and laser solution strengthening were adopted to perform modification treatment on the local region of inset edge for 2Cr13 and 17-4PH steam turbine blades to prolong the life of the blades. The microstructures, microhardness and anti-cavitation properties were investigated on the blades after laser treatment. The hardening mechanism and technique adaptability were researched. Large scale installation practices confirmed that the laser surface modification techniques are safe and reliable, which can improve the properties of blades greatly with advantages of high automation, high quality, little distortion and simple procedure. Background: Mendelian randomization (MR) was used to evaluate the bidirectional causal relationship between inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and interleukins (ILs), chemokines., Methods: Genetic instruments and summary data of five ILs and six chemokines were obtained from a genome-wide association study database, and instrumental variables related to IBD were obtained from the FinnGen Consortium. Inverse variance weighting (IVW) was used as the main MR analysis method, and several other MR methods including MR-Egger and weighted median were used to confirm the reliability of the results. Sensitivity analyses such as heterogeneity and pleiotropy were also performed., Results: The IVW method provided evidence to support that genetically predicted IL-16, IL-18, and CXCL10 significantly positively correlated with IBD, while IL-12p70 and CCL23 significantly negatively correlated with IBD. IL-16 and IL-18 had a suggestive association with an increased risk of ulcerative colitis (UC), and CXCL10 had a suggestive association with an increased risk of Crohn's disease (CD). However, there was no evidence to support that IBD and two main subtypes (UC and CD) are associated with changes in the levels of ILs and chemokines. [reaction: see text] Vinyl allenes were prepared in high yields by the Wittig-Horner reaction of 1-lithio-1,3-dienyl phosphine oxides with aldehydes. 1-Lithio-1,3-dienyl phosphine oxides were generated in situ from lithiation of 1-iodo-1,3-dienyl phosphine oxides, which were obtained by iodination of alpha-phosphinozirconacyclopentadienes. As a whole, a vinyl allene is synthesized from two different alkynes and one aldehyde.
