Two-dimensional (2D) semiconductors hold great promises for ultra-scaled transistors. In particular, the gate length of MoS2 transistor has been scaled to 1 nm and 0.3 nm using single wall carbon nanotube and graphene, respectively. However, simultaneously scaling the channel length of these short-gate transistor is still challenging, and could be largely attributed to the processing difficulties to precisely align source-drain contact with gate electrode. Here, we report a self-alignment process for realizing ultra-scaled 2D transistors. By mechanically folding a graphene/BN/MoS2 heterostructure, source-drain metals could be precisely aligned around the folded edge, and the channel length is only dictated by heterostructure thickness. Together, we could realize sub-1 nm gate length and sub-50 nm channel length for vertical MoS2 transistor simultaneously. The self-aligned device exhibits on-off ratio over 105 and on-state current of 250 μA/μm at 4 V bias, which is over 40 times higher compared to control sample without self-alignment process.

A proportional plus derivative (PD) adaptive tracking control strategy based on neural sliding mode is proposed for the interference of unknown factors in the mathematical model of four-wheel omnidirectional robots. Firstly, the dynamics model of the robot is analyzed. Secondly, the backstepping trajectory tracking controller is used to obtain the virtual velocity, and the PD controller is designed based on the error between the virtual input and the actual input. Then, the neural network is used to approximate the uncertainty in the dynamics model, and the stability of the system is proved by the Lyapunov theorem. Simulation and experimental results show that the control strategy is effective.

The fundamental Boltzmann limitation dictates the ultimate limit of subthreshold swing (SS) to be 60 mV dec-1 , which prevents the continued scaling of supply voltage. With atomically thin body, 2D semiconductors provide new possibilities for advanced low-power electronics. Herein, ultra-steep-slope MoS2 resistive-gate field-effect transistors (RG-FETs) by integrating atomic-scale-resistive filamentary with conventional MoS2 transistors, demonstrating an ultra-low SS below 1 mV dec-1 at room temperature are reported. The abrupt resistance transition of the nanoscale-resistive filamentary ensures dramatic change in gate potential, and switches the device on and off, leading to ultra-steep SS. Simultaneously, RG-FETs demonstrate a high on/off ratio of 2.76 × 107 with superior reproducibility and reliability. With the ultra-steep SS, the RG-FETs can be readily employed to construct logic inverter with an ultra-high gain ≈2000, indicating exciting potential for future low-power electronics and monolithic integration.

Perioperative chemotherapy has been an important part of the comprehensive treatment of advanced gastric cancer. Different from the conventional systemic chemotherapy, preoperative chemotherapy through intra-arterial combined with intra-venous further optimized delivery routes according to characteristics of different drugs on the basis of combination chemotherapy，which has been studied and practiced at our center for more than 20 years. In this review, we will introduce this chemotherapy from the aspects of theoretical basis, development process, treatment advantages, and clinical research. The clinical efficacy and possible treatment mechanisms will be discussed through looking back on both clinic and basic study.

To investigate methylene tetrahydrofolate dehydrogenase 2 (MTHFD2) expression, biological function, and correlation with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) patient’s prognosis.

DC circuit breakers (DCCBs) with high breaking capacity and low cost are necessary for quick fault clearance in DC networks. The assembly DC circuit breakers (ADCCBs) have a main breaking section (MBS) and a sub-breaking sections (SBS) for each line, which greatly reduce the cost. But in conventional operation, it bears high voltage for a long time when there is a main switch grounding process in any line fault action. To address this problem, a multiport assembly circuit breaker based on current injection (CI-MPACB) is proposed, which is able to generate a resonant current with increasing amplitude by controlling the duty cycle of Integrated Gate-Commutated Thyristors (IGCTs). Then the resonant current is injected into the SBS to generate current zero crossing and arc extinction. A complex frequency domain circuit analysis is performed on the MBS to describe the action logic as well as the commutation characteristics. In addition, the parameters of each component of the MBS are subject to multiple constraints and reasonable design to ensure the fault current could be cut off quickly and reliably. The cost of existing design is greatly reduced due to the design idea of resonant current injection device parameter selection. Finally, a PSCAD/EMTDC simulation confirms the opening viability of CI-MPACB and the accuracy of the parameter design. The test results show that the designed CI-MPACB can cut off DC fault lines. Objectives: Previous studies have demonstrated that obesity may impact the efficacy of anti‐PD1 therapy, but the underlying mechanism remains unclear. In this study, our objective was to determine the prognostic value of obesity in patients with oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma (OTSCC) treated with pembrolizumab and establish a subtype based on fatty acid metabolism‐related genes (FAMRGs) for immunotherapy. Materials and Methods: We enrolled a total of 56 patients with OTSCC who underwent neoadjuvant anti‐PD1 therapy. Univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses, Kaplan–Meier survival analysis, and immunohistochemistry staining were performed. Additionally, we acquired the gene expression profiles of pan‐cancer samples and conducted GSEA and KEGG pathway analysis. Moreover, data from TCGA, MSigDB, UALCAN, GEPIA and TIMER were utilized to construct the FAMRGs subtype. Results: Our findings indicate that high Body Mass Index (BMI) was significantly associated with improved PFS (HR = 0.015; 95% CI, 0.001 to 0.477; p = 0.015), potentially attributed to increased infiltration of PD1 + T cells. A total of 91 differentially expressed FAMRGs were identified between the response and non‐response groups in pan‐cancer patients treated with immunotherapy. Of these, 6 hub FAMRGs (ACSL5, PLA2G2D, PROCA1, IL4I1, UBE2L6 and PSME1) were found to affect PD‐1 expression and T cell infiltration in HNSCC, which may impact the efficacy of anti‐PD1 therapy. Conclusion: This study demonstrates that obesity serves as a robust prognostic predictor for patients with OTSCC undergoing neoadjuvant anti‐PD1 therapy. Furthermore, the expression of 6 hub FAMRGs (ACSL5, PLA2G2D, PROCA1, IL4I1, UBE2L6 and PSME1) plays a pivotal role in the context of anti‐PD1 therapy and deserves further investigation. Background: Isoniazid-resistant, rifampicin-susceptible tuberculosis (Hr-TB) is the most frequent drug-resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB) in the world, and unfavorable outcomes of Hr-TB are more common compared to drug-susceptible TB. Considering there is no optimal regimen accepted worldwide, we undertook a retrospective cohort study in eastern China to estimate incidence trends and risk factors associated with unfavorable outcomes of Hr-TB. Methods: Between January 2012 and December 2022, all Hr-TB patients' information was extracted from the Tuberculosis Information Management System (TIMS), which is a national electronic information platform, to record TB patients' clinical information in this study. The incidence of Hr-TB was determined by the mid-year population according to census data published by the government. We categorized treatment regimens depending on fluoroquinolone (FQ) use, and potential risk factors were analyzed using multivariable logistic regression. Results: A total of 3116 Hr-TB patients fulfilled the inclusion criteria and were enrolled in this study. The average annual rate of Hr-TB in the 11 years under investigation was 0.34 per 100,000 and increased to 0.53 per 100,000 until 2019. In total, six different treatment regimens were utilized in the study sites, and less than 1% of regimens adopted FQ. There was no difference in the unfavorable outcomes between the FQ-included and FQ-excluded groups (p = 0.22). The average treatment duration was 7.06 months, and the longest treatment was 26 months. Approximately 20% (637/3116) of Hr-TB patients had unfavorable outcomes, and 60.13% (383/637) of them proceeded to multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB). Treatment duration and a positive smear at the end of the 5th month were significantly associated with unfavorable outcomes (p < 0.001). Conclusion: The unfavorable treatment outcomes of Hr-TB are still high in eastern China, and the efficacy of FQ-containing regimens needs to be validated for Hr-TB treatment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Cell cycle dysregulation is a defining feature of breast cancer. Here, 1‐methyl‐nicotinamide (1‐MNA), metabolite of nicotinamide N‐methyltransferase(NNMT) is identified, as a novel driver of cell‐cycle progression in breast cancer. NNMT, highly expressed in breast cancer tissues, positively correlates with tumor grade, TNM stage, Ki‐67 index, and tumor size. Ablation of NNMT expression dramatically suppresses cell proliferation and causes cell‐cycle arrest in G0/G1 phase. This phenomenon predominantly stems from the targeted action of 1‐MNA, resulting in a specific down‐regulation of p27 protein expression. Mechanistically, 1‐MNA expedites the degradation of p27 proteins by enhancing cullin‐1 neddylation, crucial for the activation of Cullin‐1‐RING E3 ubiquitin ligase(CRL1)—an E3 ubiquitin ligase targeting p27 proteins. NNMT/1‐MNA specifically up‐regulates the expression of UBC12, an E2 NEDD8‐conjugating enzyme required for cullin‐1 neddylation. 1‐MNA showes high binding affinity to UBC12, extending the half‐life of UBC12 proteins via preventing their localization to lysosome for degradation. Therefore, 1‐MNA is a bioactive metabolite that promotes breast cancer progression by reinforcing neddylation pathway‐mediated p27 degradation. The study unveils the link between NNMT enzymatic activity with cell‐cycle progression, indicating that 1‐MNA may be involved in the remodeling of tumor microenvironment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
