Diabetes‐related bone loss represents a significant complication that persistently jeopardizes the bone health of individuals with diabetes. Primary cilia proteins have been reported to play a vital role in regulating osteoblast differentiation in diabetes‐related bone loss. However, the specific contribution of KIAA0753, a primary cilia protein, in bone loss induced by diabetes remains unclear. In this investigation, we elucidated the pivotal role of KIAA0753 as a promoter of osteoblast differentiation in diabetes. RNA sequencing demonstrated a marked downregulation of KIAA0753 expression in pro‐bone MC3T3 cells exposed to a high glucose environment. Diabetes mouse models further validated the downregulation of KIAA0753 protein in the femur. Diabetes was observed to inhibit osteoblast differentiation in vitro, evidenced by downregulating the protein expression of OCN, OPN and ALP, decreasing primary cilia biosynthesis, and suppressing the Hedgehog signalling pathway. Knocking down KIAA0753 using shRNA methods was found to shorten primary cilia. Conversely, overexpression KIAA0753 rescued these changes. Additional insights indicated that KIAA0753 effectively restored osteoblast differentiation by directly interacting with SHH, OCN and Gli2, thereby activating the Hedgehog signalling pathway and mitigating the ubiquitination of Gli2 in diabetes. In summary, we report a negative regulatory relationship between KIAA0753 and diabetes‐related bone loss. Manganese co-precipitated with goethite (Mn-FeOOH) is ubiquitous within (sub-)surface environments, which are considered one of the most important sinks for phosphorus pollution management. Accordingly, various mole ratios of Mn-FeOOHs are synthesized and characterized by XRD, FE-SEM, FTIR, BET, XPS, hysteresis loop, acid–base titration and zero potential. According to XRD and FESEM images, the substitution of Mn causes subtle alterations in the microstructure and crystal structure of goethite, and the morphology of Mn-FeOOHs is transformed from needle-shaped goethite to a short-rod-shaped rough surface with increasing Mn substitution. Based on the analysis of BET and acid–base titration, the substitution of Mn into goethite significantly improved the surface area, pore volume, surface properties and active sites of goethite, thereby establishing a theoretical basis for effective subsequent adsorption. Batch experiment results show that the removal rate of phosphate decreases with the increasing solution pH, indicating that acidic groundwater conditions are more conducive to the removal of phosphate. In addition, the adsorption of phosphate on Mn-FeOOHs is independent of ionic strength, indicating that the inner-sphere surface complexation predominated their adsorption behaviors. The isotherm experiment results showed that Mn-G15 exhibits the strongest adsorption capacity for phosphate at pH 5.5 and T = 318 K, with a maximum adsorption capacity of 87.18 mg/g. In the global context of rural development in developing countries, the integration of digital technology into agriculture has emerged as a pivotal strategy for modernizing rural areas and boosting agricultural productivity. A focal point of policy initiatives, digital village construction aims to harness digital technology to empower rural development. Despite widespread recognition of its potential benefits for agricultural development, empirical evidence on its specific impacts, particularly on farmland scale operation, remains scarce. This study investigates the relationship between digital village construction and farmland scale operation in China, leveraging data from Sichuan Province's rural revitalization strategy and Peking University's Digital Village Index. Our analysis reveals a significant enhancement in farmland scale operation, particularly in non-poverty and non-border villages, after addressing potential endogeneity in the estimation. Mechanism analysis demonstrates that digital village construction drives scaled operation and management through improved agricultural production efficiency, the establishment of agricultural industry systems, and the advancement of agricultural engineering projects. However, its impact varies across village types, underscoring potential disparities in rural development. These findings suggest that continued investment in digital village construction is essential to stimulate rural development, focusing on leveraging digital technologies to enhance agricultural productivity and providing targeted support for remote and underserved rural areas to bridge the digital gap and foster inclusive growth. Intense work pressure and unhealthy lifestyles significantly threaten urban public health. Urban designs have quickly developed, such as the introduction of green space (GS), which has been suggested to improve public health. Prior epidemiological studies have investigated GS and mortality and have generally found potential benefits. However, these studies were primarily conducted in developed Western countries and the potential effects of GS on mortality in developing Asian countries are poorly understood. In this study, our goal was to investigate the effect of GS landscape attributes and socioeconomic conditions on all-cause mortality in 41 cities in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration. Nine GS variables and seven socioeconomic variables were collected. An optimal general linear model with the selected variables was established using LASSO regression to explore the direction and relative importance of GSs and socioeconomic conditions for urban public health. The results showed that (1) socioeconomic conditions and GS jointly affect all-cause mortality, (2) people with greater personal wealth suffered less health risk, and (3) regularly shaped and highly connected GSs decreased the risk to public health. These findings suggest that reasonable GS policies and planning strategies are effective approaches for improving public health in Chinese cities. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Transferring desired genes from wild species to cultivars through alien addition lines (AALs) has been shown to be an effective method for genetic improvement. Cucumis hystrix Chakr. (HH, 2n = 24) is a wild species of Cucumis that possesses many resistant genes. A synthetic allotetraploid species, C. hytivus (HHCC, 2n = 38), was obtained from the cross between cultivated cucumber, C. sativus (CC, 2n = 14), and C. hystrix followed by chromosome doubling. Cucumis sativus - C. hystrix AALs were developed by continuous backcrossing to the cultivated cucumbers. In this study, 10 different types of AALs (CC-H01, CC-H06, CC-H08, CC-H10, CC-H12, CC-H06+H09, CC-H06+H10, CC-H06+H12, CC-H08+H10, CC-H01+H06+H10) were identified based on the analysis of fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) and molecular markers specific to C. hystrix chromosomes. And the behavior of the alien chromosomes in three AALs (CC-H01, CC-H06+H10, CC-H01+H06+H10) at meiosis was investigated. The results showed that alien chromosomes paired with C. sativus chromosome in few pollen mother cells (PMCs). Further, disomic alien addition lines (DAALs) carrying a pair of C. hystrix chromosome H10 were screened from the selfed progenies of CC-H10. Chromosome pairing between genomes provides cytological evidence for the possible introgression of alien chromosome segments. The development of AALs could serve as a key step for exploiting and utilizing valuable genes from C. hystrix. (HH, 2n = 24) est une espece sauvage de Cucumis et possede plusieurs genes de resistance. Un allotetraploide synthetique, C. hytivus (HHCC, 2n = 38), a ete obtenu en croisant le concombre cultive C. sativus (CC, 2n = 14) avec le C. hystrix et en doublant les chromosomes. Les lignees AAL C. sativus - C. hystrix ont ete developpees au terme de retrocroisements repetes avec le concombre cultive. Le comportement a la meiose des chromosomes etrangers dans trois lignees AAL (CC-H01, CC-H06+H10, CC-H01+H06+H10) a ete examine. Les resultats ont montre que les chromosomes etrangers s'appariaient avec des chromosomes du C. sativus dans certains androsporocytes. De plus, des lignees d'addition disomiques (DAAL) portant une paire de chromosomes H10 du C. hystrix ont ete identifiees au sein des progenitures issues de l'auto-fecondation des lignees CC-H10. L'appariement chromosomique entre genomes fournit des evidences cytologiques de la possible introgression de segments chromosomiques etrangers. The rapid expansion of tourism in Chinese ethnic areas has promoted changes in livelihood activities and ecosystems. Ethnic indigenous knowledge has played an essential role in environmental governance and sustainable livelihood. The paper integrates local knowledge theory with the Sustainable Livelihood Approach (SLA) framework, proposes cultural capital as a critical component of livelihood capital, and illustrates the influence of indigenous knowledge on sustainable livelihood by analyzing how indigenous knowledge transforms into cultural livelihood capital typical cases. The research results show that excavation and utilization of indigenous knowledge can increase the family cultural livelihood capital, optimize the choice of family livelihood strategy, and improving the level of environmental governance, which ultimately affects the sustainability of family livelihood. Finally, the paper puts forward some suggestions on using indigenous knowledge to govern the tourism community.

The 10m chord versine is commonly used as the standard to evaluate track irregularity in medium and low speed maglev (MLSM). However, the amplitude frequency of the mid-chord offset method suffers distortion, which is more serious in the short waveform range, and the 10m chord versine will lose a lot of short waveform signals. Therefore, 10m chord versine cannot be used in engineering practice as the true track irregularity. To solve this problem, the method of numerical simulation is used to simulate the process mid-chord offset method. By comparing the errors of 10m chord versine in time domain and frequency domain, the exactness of the "deduced from small to large" algorithm is verified, and two inverse algorithms of "deduced from small to large" are established to obtain the chord versine of small chord length, expand the effective detection range of short waveform irregularity, and the method of "inverse filtering" is used to inverse the short waveform irregularity. The results show that the two inverse algorithms of "deduced from small to large" can well deduce the chord versine of small chord length, and the minimum chord length that can be deduced is twice the step length. Therefore, in order to expand the measurement range of short waveform, the sampling step length should be reduced as much as possible. Compared with model B, model A has a larger error due to the addition of boundary conditions, some outliers appear, step signals appear in the power spectral density, and the absolute error is within 0.025 mm. Model B has high accuracy and good transfer characteristics, and the absolute error can be controlled within 0.001 5 mm. The field measurement of 10m chord versine of F-shaped track of Changsha Maglev Express Line shows that the track irregularities in the wavelength range of 0.5~100 m can be effectively inverted with both models.
