Abstract

Quadrilateral meshes with high level structure and feature preserving property benefit industrial applications the most. Generation of such quad mesh remains a challenge. Quad meshes generated using surface foliation have the highest level structure, however they lack of the feature preserving ability. In this paper, we analyze the boundary curvature with Gauss-Bonnet theorem to determine whether a boundary rectangle corner preserving foliation based method exists. When it exists, we adopt a modified double cover technique together with surface foliation method to generate a corner feature preserving quad mesh. The experiments demonstrate the efficacy of our algorithm.

13. Investigation on Chlorination of Uranium Oxides With CCl4 and HCl Gas

Abstract

In this study, the chlorination mechanism and influencing factors of uranium oxides(mainly U3O8) were studied by using CCl4 and HCl gas as chlorination reagents respectively. The chlorination of U3O8 powder was studied with CCl4 as chlorination reagent. The mechanism and kinetic behavior of the chlorination reaction were studied by thermogravimetric analysis. The main chlorination product is UCl4. The chlorination of different types and morphologies of uranium oxide by CCl4 was also studied. The UO2 pellets are difficult to chlorinate due to their very dense structure. UO2 powder and UO3 powder are easily chlorinated by CCl4, and the chlorination products are UCl4 and UCl6 respectively. The chlorination of U3O8 powders in LiCl-KCl molten salt system was carried out using HCl gas as the chlorination reagent. The effects of reaction temperature, chlorination time, HCl gas flow rate, feeding amount of U3O8 powder, and uranium oxide types and morphologies were studied. The results show that increasing the reaction temperature, prolonging the reaction time, and increasing the HCl gas flow rate are beneficial to the improvement of the chlorination rate. The process parameters of HCl gas chlorinated U3O8 powder are recommended as follows: the chlorination reaction temperature is 500 ℃, and the flow rate of HCl gas is 0.6 L/min.

Abstract

The conversion of oxides into metals is one of the key steps in the dry reprocessing of spent oxide fuel using the molten salt electrorefining method. In this study, in the CaCl2-NaCl molten salt system, graphite rods were used as anodes, and the high-temperature sintered ZrO2 flakes were simulated UO2 cathode. Besides, the FFC Cambridge process conditions of electro-deoxidation to prepare metal zirconium in CaCl2-NaCl molten salt were optimized. The effects of electrolysis process conditions(cell voltage, electrolysis time, sintering temperature, and electrolysis temperature, etc.) on the preparation of Zr by electro-deoxidation was studied systematically. SEM and XRD were utilized to analyze the microstructure and phase composition of the ZrO2 cathode before and after electrolysis, respectively. The optimized process conditions are voltage of 3.4 V, electrolysis time of 12 h, sintering temperature of 900 ℃, and electrolysis temperature of 722 ℃. At the same time, the intermediate products CaZrO3 and ZrO are found in the conversion of ZrO2 into Zr.

Focusing on admission hyperglycemia, other markers of dysglycemia were overlooked. This study aimed to explore the contribution of acute phase blood glucose levels in combination with other radiological signs to the prognostication of functional outcomes in patients with spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage (sICH).Methods: Consecutive patients with sICH with at least five random plasma glucose measurements and complete radiological data during hospitalization were included. We calculated the average, maximum, minimum, standard deviation, and coefficient of variation of blood glucose levels for each patient. 对于“了₁ ” 的研究，更多集中于“了₁” 的语义和表达的时体意义上。“了₁ ” 与焦点理论结合的研究并不常见。在 焦点理论中，和语义焦点1）相关联、能够影响句子语义真值的算子叫做焦点敏感算子（focus sensitive operator）。 本文认为汉语的体标记“了₁ ” 也是一个焦点敏感算子。本文将通过“了₁ ” 的有无，移位来观察其对句子语义的影响， 认为“了₁ ” 的有无会和移动均会影响句意，尤其是移位会对连动结构的句意产生较大影响，在连动结构中，带有 “了₁” 的动词结构比其他同句中的动词结构更加凸显。本文还对比了汉语分列式“是…的” 结构和“了₁ ” 的使用情况， 总结了“是…的” 结构和“了₁” 共现的原因，得出了共现的限制条件，认为“是…的” 结构强调的连动句中，带有 “了₁ ” 的部分是被强调的，而“是” 的强焦点性使得“了₁ ” 的焦点敏感算子功能减弱，不如在单纯的连动句中明显。 本研究将“了₁ ” 的功能研究和焦点理论相结合，试图为“了₁ ” 的研究提供一种新的思路。

Abstract

The incidence of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is increasing globally, being the most widespread form of chronic liver disease in the west. NAFLD includes a variety of disease states, the mildest being non-alcoholic fatty liver that gradually progresses to non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, fibrosis, cirrhosis, and eventually hepatocellular carcinoma. Small non-coding single-stranded microRNAs (miRNAs) regulate gene expression at the miRNA or translational level. Numerous miRNAs have been shown to promote NAFLD pathogenesis and progression through increasing lipid accumulation, oxidative stress, mitochondrial damage, and inflammation. The miR-23–27–24 clusters, composed of miR-23a–27a–24–2 and miR-23b–27b–24–1, have been implicated in various biological processes as well as many diseases. Herein, we review the current knowledge on miR-27, miR-24, and miR-23 in NAFLD pathogenesis and discuss their potential significance in NAFLD diagnosis and therapy.

44. Effect of Rearing Systems on Growth Performance, Lying/Standing Behavior, Morbidity, and Immunity Parameters of Pre-Weaned Dairy Calves in a Continental Zone in Winter

Abstract

On dairy farms, calves are typically raised inside barns (either in individual or group pens), or they are raised in outdoor hutches. To evaluate the effect of all three of these commonly used rearing practices on calves, an experiment was conducted. A group of 58 Holstein dairy female healthy calves (3 days of age) was randomly divided into three subgroups (outdoor hutches, individual-housed, and group-housed in a barn). The body weight, lying bouts, lying time, and immunity parameters of each calf were monitored, and the ambient temperature and relative humidity were measured. The average temperatures outside and in the barn and hutches were −16.67 °C, −15.26 °C, and −15.59 °C, respectively, from 22 November 2020 to 27 January 2021. All calves suffered from cold stress. Group-housed calves weighed significantly less than the other calves at the ages of 1 month and 2 month (p < 0.05). The lying time of the calves housed in individual pens and group pens was longer (p < 0.05) than that of the calves housed in hutches. The morbidity attributable to bovine respiratory disease was significantly lower among the calves housed in hutches than it was among the calves housed either individually or in group pens inside the barn (p < 0.05). No significant differences in the concentrations of TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6 were found between the three groups (p > 0.05). On the basis of these findings, we were able to conclude that calves housed in outdoor hutches were at a lower risk of developing a disease than were calves housed in barns without heating in winter. To optimize the management process, heating should be added to hutch systems. Moreover, more rigorous disease and environmental control management strategies should be applied when raising calves inside barns.
