Intelligent manufacturing is a new model that uses advanced technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data, and artificial intelligence to improve the efficiency and quality of manufacturing production. As an important support to promote the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry, cloud service optimization has received the attention of researchers. In recent years, remarkable research results have been achieved in this field. For the sustainability of intelligent manufacturing platforms, in this paper we summarize the process of cloud service optimization for intelligent manufacturing. Further, to address the problems of dispersed optimization indicators and nonuniform/unstandardized definitions in the existing research, 11 optimization indicators that take into account three-party participant subjects are defined from the urgent requirements of the sustainable development of intelligent manufacturing platforms. Next, service optimization algorithms are classified into two categories, heuristic and reinforcement learning. After comparing the two categories, the current key techniques of service optimization are targeted. Finally, research hotspots and future research trends of service optimization are summarized.

Total variation distance (TV distance) is an important measure for the difference between two distributions. Recently, there has been progress in approximating the TV distance between product distributions: a deterministic algorithm for a restricted class of product distributions (Bhattacharyya, Gayen, Meel, Myrisiotis, Pavan and Vinodchandran 2023) and a randomized algorithm for general product distributions (Feng, Guo, Jerrum and Wang 2023). We give a deterministic fully polynomial-time approximation algorithm (FPTAS) for the TV distance between product distributions. Given two product distributions $\mathbb{P}$ and $\mathbb{Q}$ over $[q]^n$, our algorithm approximates their TV distance with relative error $\varepsilon$ in time $O\bigl( \frac{qn^2}{\varepsilon} \log q \log \frac{n}{\varepsilon \Delta_{\text{TV}}(\mathbb{P},\mathbb{Q}) } \bigr)$. Our algorithm is built around two key concepts: 1) The likelihood ratio as a distribution, which captures sufficient information to compute the TV distance. 2) We introduce a metric between likelihood ratio distributions, called the minimum total variation distance. Our algorithm computes a sparsified likelihood ratio distribution that is close to the original one w.r.t. the new metric. The approximated TV distance can be computed from the sparsified likelihood ratio. Our technique also implies deterministic FPTAS for the TV distance between Markov chains.

Low radioactive material screening is becoming essential for rare event search experiments, such as neutrinoless double beta decay and dark matter searches in underground laboratories. A gaseous time projection chamber (TPC) can be used for such purposes with large active areas and high efficiency. A gaseous TPC with a Micromegas readout plane of approximately 20$\times$20 cm$^2$ is successfully constructed for surface alpha contamination measurements. We have characterized the energy resolution, gain stability, and tracking capability with calibration sources. With the unique track-related background suppression cuts of the gaseous TPC, we have established that the alpha background rate of the TPC is 0.13$\pm$0.03 $\mu$Bq/cm$^2$, comparable to the leading commercial solutions.

An efficient cryogenic distillation system was designed and constructed for PandaX-4T dark matter detector based on the McCabe-Thiele (M-T) method and the conservation of mass and energy. This distillation system is designed to reduce the concentration of krypton in commercial xenon from 5X$10^{-7}$ mol/mol to $10^{-14}$ mol/mol with 99% xenon collection efficiency at a maximum flow rate of 10 kg/h. The offline distillation operation has been completed and 5.75 tons of ultra-high purity xenon was produced, which is used as the detection medium in PandaX-4T detector. The krypton concentration of the product xenon is measured with an upper limit of 8.0 ppt. The stability and purification performance of the cryogenic distillation system are studied by analyzing the experimental data, which is important for theoretical research and distillation operation optimization.

In experiments searching for rare signals, background events from the detector itself are some of the major factors limiting search sensitivity.Screening for ultra-low radioactive detector materials is becoming ever more essential. We propose to develop a gaseous time projection chamber (TPC) with a Micromegas readout for radio screening. The TPC records three-dimensional trajectories of charged particles emitted from a flat sample placed in the active volume of the detector. The detector can distinguish the origin of an event and identify the particle types with information from trajectories, which significantly increases the screening sensitivity. For $\alpha$ particles from the sample surface, we observe that our proposed detector can reach a sensitivity higher than 100 $\mu$Bq$\cdot$m$^{-2}$ within two days.

Dual-phase noble-gas time projection chambers (TPCs) have improved the sensitivities for dark matter direct search in past decades. The capability of TPCs to reconstruct 3-D vertexes of keV scale recoilings is one of the most advantageous features. In this work, we develop two horizontal position reconstruction algorithms for the PandaX-II dark matter search experiment using the dual-phase liquid xenon TPC. Both algorithms are optimized by the $^{83m}$Kr calibration events and use photon distribution of ionization signals among photomultiplier tubes to infer the positions. According to the events coming from the gate electrode, the uncertainties in the horizontal positions are 3.4 mm (3.9 mm) in the analytical (simulation-based) algorithm for an ionization signal with several thousand photon electrons in the center of the TPC, Comment: 18 pages, 11 figures

We report constraints on light dark matter through its interactions with shell electrons in the PandaX-II liquid xenon detector with a total 46.9 tonne$\cdot$day exposure. To effectively search for these very low energy electron recoils, ionization-only signals are selected from the data. 1821 candidates are identified within ionization signal range between 50 to 75 photoelectrons, corresponding to a mean electronic recoil energy from 0.08 to 0.15 keV. The 90% C.L. exclusion limit on the scattering cross section between the dark matter and electron is calculated based on Poisson statistics. Under the assumption of point interaction, we provide the world's most stringent limit within the dark matter mass range from 15 to 30 $\rm MeV/c^2$, with the corresponding cross section from $2.5\times10^{-37}$ to $3.1\times10^{-38}$ cm$^2$., Comment: 6 pages, 5 figures, 2 tables

The precise measurement of a magnetic field is one of the most fundamental and important tasks in quantum metrology. Although extensive studies on quantum magnetometry have been carried out over past decades, the ultimate precision that can be achieved for the estimation of all three components of a magnetic field with entangled probe states under the parallel scheme remains unknown. Here we present the ultimate lower bound for the sum of arbitrarily weighted variances in the estimation of all three components of a magnetic field under the parallel scheme and show that this lower bound can be achieved for sufficiently large N. The optimal entangled probe state that achieves the ultimate precision is also explicitly constructed. The obtained precision sets the ultimate limit for the multi-parameter quantum magnetometry under the parallel scheme, which is of fundamental interest and importance in quantum metrology. Our approach also provides a way to characterize the tradeoff among the precisions of multiple parameters that arise from the constraints on the probe states., Comment: 20 pages. Measurement and estimation of parameters are essential for science and engineering, where one of the main quests is to find systematic schemes that can achieve high precision. While conventional schemes for quantum parameter estimation focus on the optimization of the probe states and measurements, it has been recently realized that control during the evolution can significantly improve the precision. The identification of optimal controls, however, is often computationally demanding, as typically the optimal controls depend on the value of the parameter which then needs to be re-calculated after the update of the estimation in each iteration. Here we show that reinforcement learning provides an efficient way to identify the controls that can be employed to improve the precision. We also demonstrate that reinforcement learning is highly generalizable, namely the neural network trained under one particular value of the parameter can work for different values within a broad range.
