Objective To analyze the effect of bevacizumab on D-dimer (D-D), fibrinogen (FIB) and arteriovenous thromboembolism in the treatment of advanced colorectal cancer (aCRC). Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical data of 96 patients with aCRC treated in Jiangdu People's Hospital from January 2017 to December 2021. The patients were divided into control group [received XELOX regimen (capecitabine and oxaliplatin), n=48] and observation group (received bevacizumab treatment on the basis of XELOX regimen, n=48). The objective response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR), levels of serum tumor markers, serum D-D and FIB, the incidence of arteriovenous thromboembolism and the total incidence of toxic and side effects were compared between two groups. Results Compared with control group, ORR (52.08% vs 29.17%) and DCR (83.33% vs 56.25%) were significantly increased in observation group (P＜0.05＝. Serum levels of carbohydrate antigen 199 (CA199) and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) in observation group were statistically lower than those in control group after 1, 3 and 6 cycles of chemotherapy (P＜0.05＝. After 1 and 3 cycles of chemotherapy, serum D-D and FIB were similar in two groups (P＞0.05), and they were significantly higher in observation group than those in control group after 6 cycles of treatment (P＜0.05＝. There was no significant difference in the incidences of arteriovenous thromboembolism (8.33% vs 0, P＞0.05) and toxic side effects between observation group and control group (P＞0.05). Conclusion On the basis of conventional chemotherapy for advanced colorectal cancer, the addition of bevacizumab can effectively improve the ORR and DCR of CRC patients, reduce the serum levels of tumor markers and have little impact on serum D-D and FIB levels at the beginning of chemotherapy.

In order to realize the modeling and numerical simulation of the electromagnetic field distribution and wave propagation in interconnects of interposers for three-dimensional integration, the Finite Difference Time Domain(FDTD) method is used in this paper to reveal the propagation of two-dimensional TE(Transverse Electric) wave. Variations of the magnetic field at the boundary are compared when adding Mur and PML(Perfectly Matched Layer) absorbing boundary conditions respectively. The error curves and isophasal lines are plotted to validate the absorbing performance of these two boundary conditions. The results show that PML can be used as the absorbing boundary of a two-dimensional TE wave to ensure a more appropriate absorbing effect in engineering simulation.

Through Silicon Via(TSV), as a key interconnection technology in 3D integrated circuits, is used to connect input and output of chips in different layers. When multiple TSVs with alternating current close to each other, will produce the proximity effect, which increases the resistance of the TSV, thus affecting the transmission performance of TSV. Therefore, a method of calculating AC resistance of TSV array based on barycentric interpolation is presented. On the basis of triangulation of TSV cross section and determining the current intensity of vertices, the AC power consumption of TSV is calculated by interpolation method, the AC to DC resistance ratio of TSV is calculated by the AC to DC power ratio, and then the AC resistance value of TSV under the influence of proximity effect is obtained. This method can realize the calculation of AC resistance of TSV array in arbitrary scale and arrangement, and it will provide guidance and verification for the design of transmission structure in three dimensional integrated circuits. Finally, the numerical results of this method are compared with the results of commercial solver ANSYS Q3D. The experimental results show that the proposed method acquires better performance.

Aims/Introduction: To explore the association between estimated small dense low‐density lipoprotein cholesterol (sdLDL‐C) and the risk of incident nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in nonobese populations. Materials and Methods: This study included participants who underwent health checkups in 2014 and were followed up until 2019. We carried out Cox proportional hazards regression analyses to evaluate the association of estimated sdLDL‐C with NAFLD. Discordance analyses were carried out to estimate the relative NAFLD risk in estimated sdLDL‐C versus low‐density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL‐C) discordant/concordant groups. Estimated sdLDL‐C was calculated by equations based on LDL‐C and triglycerides. The diagnosis of NAFLD was based on the presence of abdominal ultrasonography after excluding other causes of chronic liver disease. Results: Over a mean follow‐up period of 26,694 person‐years, 844 incident NAFLD cases were recorded. Compared with the first quartile of estimated sdLDL‐C, the fourth quartile was associated with a 2.933‐fold increased risk of NAFLD (95% confidence interval 2.095–4.107). With the increase in estimated sdLDL‐C, the risk of NAFLD gradually increased both in participants within the normal range of LDL‐C (hazard ratio 2.854, 95% confidence interval 1.650–5.617) and beyond the normal range of LDL‐C (hazard ratio 2.636, 95% confidence interval 1.263–5.502). In addition, the inconsistent high estimated sdLDL‐C/low LDL‐C group was associated with an increased risk of NAFLD, but not the low estimated sdLDL‐C/high LDL‐C group. Conclusions: Estimated sdLDL‐C was positively associated with the risk of incident NAFLD in a nonobese population, independent of LDL‐C. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Summary: Controlled stability of proteins is a highly efficient mechanism to direct diverse processes in plants. A key regulatory system for protein stability is given by the CULLIN‐RING E3 ligases (CRLs).In this work, MYB43 is identified as a novel target of a CUL4‐DDB1‐PRL1 (PLEIOTROPIC REGULATORY LOCUS 1)‐RING E3 ligase (CRL4PRL1 E3 ligase). Its stability depends on the presence of PRL1, a WD40‐containing protein functioning as a substrate receptor of the CRL4 E3 ligases.Genetic studies have indicated that MYB43 is a negative regulator of cadmium (Cd) tolerance in Arabidopsis by transcriptional inhibition of important Cd transporters (HMA2, HMA3 and HMA4), while PRL1 and CUL4 positively regulate Cd tolerance. Expression of CUL4 and PRL1 was enhanced in response to Cd stress, and PRL1 can interact with and target MYB43 for degradation depending on assembly of CRL4PRL1 E3 ligase, and consequently increase the expression of HMA2, HMA3 and HMA4 through attenuating the transcriptional inhibition.HMA2 and HMA4 are shown to transport cadmium ion (Cd2+) from the roots of plants to the shoots through the xylem, ultimately increasing the plants' tolerance to Cd stress. Abstract Background To investigate the association between serum glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in an elderly Chinese population. Methods A cross-sectional study was performed among the 949 retired elderly employees of Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Company Ltd., Ningbo, China. Results A total of 257 (27.08%) subjects fulfilled the diagnostic criteria of NAFLD, and NAFLD patients had significantly higher serum HbA1c levels than controls (P vs. 25.20%; P P for trend P =0.026). Conclusions Our results suggest that serum HbA1c level is associated with NAFLD, and increased serum HbA1c level is an independent risk factor for NAFLD in elderly Chinese.
