We prove a local analog of the Deligne-Riemann-Roch isomorphism in the case of line bundles and relative dimension $1$. This local analog consists in computation of the class of $12$th power of the determinant central extension of a group ind-scheme $\mathcal G$ by the multiplicative group scheme over $\mathbb Q$ via the product of $2$-cocyles in the second cohomology group. These $2$-cocycles are the compositions of the Contou-Carr\`{e}re symbol with the $\cup$-product of $1$-cocycles. The group ind-scheme $\mathcal G$ represents the functor which assigns to every commutative ring $A$ the group that is the semidirect product of the group $A((t))^*$ of invertible elements of $A((t))$ and the group of continuous $A$-automorphisms of $A$-algebra $A((t))$. The determinant central extension naturally acts on the determinant line bundle on the moduli stack of geometric data (proper quintets). The Bott-Thurston cocycle is a $2$-cocycle on the group of orientation-preserving diffeomorphisms of the circle. We introduce and study a formal analog of Bott-Thurston cocycle. The formal Bott-Thurston cocycle is a $2$-cocycle on the group of continuous $A$-automorphisms of the algebra $A((t))$ of Laurent series over a commutative ring $A$ with values in the group $A^*$ of invertible elements of $A$. We prove that the central extension given by the formal Bott-Thurston cocycle is equivalent to the $12$-fold Baer sum of the determinantal central extension when $A$ is a $\mathbb Q$-algebra. As a consequence of this result we prove a part of new formal Riemann-Roch theorem. This Riemann-Roch theorem is applied to a ringed space on a separated scheme $S$ over $\mathbb Q$, where the structure sheaf of the ringed space is locally on $S$ isomorphic to the sheaf ${\mathcal O}_S((t))$ and the transition automorphisms are continuous. Locally on $S$ this ringed space corresponds to the punctured formal neighbourhood of a section of a smooth morphism to $U$ of relative dimension $1$, where an open subset $U \subset S$., Comment: 43 pages; corrected misprints

We study canonical central extensions of the general linear group of the ring of adeles on a smooth projective algebraic surface $X$ by means of the group of integers. By these central extensions and adelic transition matrices of a rank $n$ locally free sheaf of ${\mathcal O}_X$-modules we obtain the local (adelic) decomposition for the difference of Euler characteristics of this sheaf and the sheaf ${\mathcal O}_X^n$. In this work we construct harmonic analysis on free Abelian groups of rank $2$, namely: we construct and investigate spaces of functions and distributions, Fourier transforms, actions of discrete and extended discrete Heisenberg groups. In the paper Lax pairs for linear Hamiltonian systems of differential equations are constructed. In particular, Gr\"obner bases are used for the computations. It is proved that the maps which appear in the construction of Lax pairs are Poisson. We explicitly calculate an arithmetic adelic quotient group for a locally free sheaf on an arithmetic surface when the fiber over the infinite point of the base is taken into account. The calculations are presented via a short exact sequence. We give a construction of the second Chern number of a vector bundle over a smooth projective surface by means of adelic transition matrices for the vector bundle. The construction does not use an algebraic $K$-theory and depends on the canonical $\mathbb{Z}$-torsor of a locally linearly compact $k$-vector space. We prove that the tangent space to the $(n+1)$-th Milnor $K$-group of a ring $R$ is isomorphic to group of $n$-th absolute K\"ahler differentials of $R$ when the ring $R$ contains $\frac{1}{2}$ and has sufficiently many invertible elements. In this note we give more easy and short proof of a statement previously proved by P. Kahn that the automorphism group of the discrete Heisenberg group ${\rm Heis}(3, \mathbb{Z}) $ is isomorphic to the group $ (\mathbb{Z} \oplus \mathbb{Z}) \rtimes GL(2,\mathbb{Z})$. We prove non-commutative reciprocity laws on an algebraic surface defined over a perfect field. These reciprocity laws claim the splittings of some central extensions of globally constructed groups over some subgroups constructed by points or projective curves on a surface. For a two-dimensional local field with a finite last residue field the constructed local central extension is isomorphic to a central extension which comes from the case of tame ramification of the Abelian two-dimensional local Langlands correspondence suggested by M. In this paper we describe the unramified Langlands correspondence for two-dimensional local fields, we construct a categorical analogue of the unramified principal series representations and study its properties. The main tool for this description is the construction of a central extension. For this (and other) central extension we prove noncommutative reciprocity laws (i.e. the splitting of the central extensions over some subgroups) for arithmetic surfaces and projective surfaces over a finite field. We investigate various new properties and examples of one-dimensional and two-dimensional Krichever correspondence developed by Parshin. In particular, we give explicit examples of the Krichever-Parshin map for various plane curves, we introduce analogs of the Schur pairs in a two-dimensional local field and show that they are oft geometrical. At the end we investigate analogs of the KP hierarchy for two-dimensional local skew-fields with arbitrary commutation law instead of the usual law of Weyl algebra. We derive for these hierarchies new partial differential equations, which coincide with the usual KP equation for certain values of parameters., Comment: 13 p

We consider an algebraic surface. For an irreducible curve on this surface and for a point on this curve one can associate an artinian ring, which is a sum of two-dimensional local fields. An example of two-dimensional local field is iterated Laurent series. We consider an integer value symbol on a two-dimensional local field. This symbol appears for the description of non-ramified coverings of two-dimensional local fields and for the description of intersection index of divisors on surfaces by adeles. We interpret this symbol as the commutator of lifting of elements in the central extension of the multiplicative group of two-dimensional local field. We prove the reciprocity laws around the points and along the projective curves on the surface. In 70's there was discovered a construction how to attach to some algebraic-geometric data an infinite-dimensional subspace in the space k((z)) of the Laurent power series. Now this construction is called the Krichever map. In e-print math.AG/9911097 A.N. Parshin suggested a generalization of the Krichever map for the case of algebraic surfaces from the point of view of 2-dimensional local fields. In this work we suggest a generalization of the Krichever map to the case of algebraic varieties of arbitrary dimension from the point of view of multidimensional local fields. For surfaces our construction coincides with the Parshin construction. There exists the Krichever map from the set of quintets (C,p,F,t,e) (where C is an integral and complete algebraic curve, p a smooth rational point, F a rank 2 torsion free coherent sheaf on C, t a local formal parameter in p and e a formal trivialization of F around p) to the infinite Grassmanian of $k((z)) \oplus k((z))$. For a projective morphism of an smooth algebraic surface $X$ onto a smooth algebraic curve $S$, both given over a perfect field $k$, we construct the direct image morphism in two cases: from $H^i(X,\Omega^2_X)$ to $H^{i-1}(S,\Omega^1_S)$ and when $char k =0$ from $H^i(X,K_2(X))$ to $H^{i-1}(S,K_1(S))$. (If i=2, then the last map is the Gysin map from $CH^2(X)$ to $CH^1(S)$.) To do this in the first case we use the known adelic resolution for sheafs $\Omega^2_X$ and $\Omega^1_S$. In the second case we construct a $K_2$-adelic resolution of a sheaf $K_2(X)$. And thus we reduce the direct image morphism to the construction of some residues and symbols from differentials and symbols of 2-dimensional local fields associated with pairs $x \in C$ ($x$ is a closed point on an irredicuble curve $C \in X$) to 1-dimensional local fields associated with closed points on the curve $S$.
