The main objective of this paper is to evaluate the websites of social science research institutions in India; especially Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) sponsored institutions and ranked them accordingly. Using various online SEO tools websites of these institutes have been analyzed. Gujarat Institute of Development Research holds the numero uno status on the basis of Simple Web Impact Factor (0.6736) and Internal-link Web Impact Factor (0.6551). Institute for Studies in Industrial Development holds the rank one position on the basis of External-link Web Impact Factor of 0.0404. Centre for Policy Research with 53 Domain Authority score and Page Authority score of 49 tops the list in both cases and signifies the website’s good rank on search engine result pages. Search engines often display the meta description in search results where they can highly influence user click-through rates but it is really unfortunate that out of the 29 institutes only 6 have used meta tags in their websites. Giri Institute of Development Studies and Centre for Development Studies hold the top ranks in SEO score and speed score categories respectively. Centre for Policy Research with the GPR of 3,52,513 tops the list among all the institutes. Link topology of the websites reflects that the Giri Institute of Development Studies (gids.org.in) is linked with 5 other research institutes.

The study is a scientometric analysis of the research on sexual abuse during childhood in India. Authors identified 300 articles published on this topic and the highest number of publications (i.e. 42) was the years 2015 and lowest in 2001. Journal articles were the highest in number among different types of publication. The highest number of citations is 5690 published in 2012 and the lowest i.e. 12 published in 2018. There is a positive relationship between time and growth of citation and the overall Degree of Collaboration (C) among the authors i.e. 0.87 indicates a large number of collaborative works among the authors observed. The analysis source title-wise publication showed that the Indian Journal of Psychiatry has received a maximum number of publications.

The paper presents a bibliometric study on the status of stem cell research based on the data retrieved from the Scopus database and using various scientometric parameters. Finds that of the total 137937 publications on stem cell, the highest number i.e. 11653 were published in 2016 and the lowest i.e.1910 in 2001. In the case of India, 2017 was the highest productive year and 2001 the lowest. Among the published documents most were in the English (124,745) followed by Chinese. Journal articles (99468) were the highest in number among different types of publications as nascent information on a subject mainly gets reflected in journal articles. Researchers from the USA top the list with 42,211 publications on stem cells in the whole world. The year 2008 received maximum number of citations i.e. 333,921. There is a significant negative correlation between time and the growth of citation. From 2014 to 2018 the number of citations has been reduced in comparison to previous years.

The study focuses on various facets of authorship pattern in data science during 2001-2018. Annual growth rate of articles, author productivity rate, degree of collaboration, author collaboration network visualization etc. are discussed. The highest AGR 46.43% was noticed in the year 2016 and the lowest -20.75% in the year 2002. Only 21.83% of articles were published by single author whereas 78.17% of articles were contributed by two or more than two authors. The lowest AAPP was 2.25 with the highest PPA was 0.44 observed in the year 2015. The overall Degree of Collaboration is 0.78 that indicates a large number of collaborations among the authors. The highest Collaborative Index 5.06 is seen in the year 2001 and the minimum 2.63 in 2015.

This paper explores the subject juvenile based on subject descriptors in DDC editions. The objectives was to assess the evolution of the subject in DDC. Qualitative assessment of the subject descriptors is made to exhibit the edition wise treatment. Law class holds the maximum number of subject descriptors on juveniles. Edition 21st to 23rd have the maximum share of concepts on juvenile. Standing room concepts which have been providing shelter to the subjects with future prospects are expressed through Example notes and including notes. The present study focuses on the Web Impact Factor (WIF)) of the Indian Open University websites. Among the selected Open Universities Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU), Nashik holds the numero uno status in Simple and Internal-link WIFs with SWIF 0.2214 and IWIF 0.2092. In the case of External-link Web Impact Factor (EWIF) Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU), Kolkata holds the rank one position with EWIF of 9.9750. Among the websites, IGNOU holds the best global rank i.e. 4439 and it has the 2nd best Indian rank also i.e. 349. This Open University is followed by KSOU in the global ranking i.e. 4517. KSOU holds the best Indian rank i.e.270. IGNOU has the maximum number of backlinks i.e. 1265605. The website of KSOU having a domain authority of 59, ranks highest YCMOU ranks lowest by obtaining 29 out of a total of 100 points. In the case of page authority, the website of IGNOU ranks first with a page authority score of 59 followed by the UOU having score of 51. The least score (35) is obtained by the YCMOU in page authority.

Web Impact Factor (WIF), Search Engine Optimization (SEO) ranking improve the visibility of a website’s presence in online environment. The present study predominantly focuses on the WIFs of the Indian banking websites. On the basis of SEO (search engine optimization) effort has been made to measure the usability, performance, security of the websites, used headings, usage of images and alt tags, linking with social networking sites as well as to count the backlinks, page size, load time, request, traffic score, SEO score and speed score. Popularity ranking of the selected bank websites has also been done. Calculating three types of web impact factors it has been found that among the nationalised banks Indian Bank (IB) holds the numero uno status while among the private banks Lakshmi Vilas Bank Limited (LVB) holds the number one rank. On the basis of usability though nationalised banks enjoy better grades than their private counterparts, regarding SEO, performance and social linking private banks achieve higher grades. In the matter of security all the nationalised and private banks maintain grade A (including A+ and A-) security. Regarding ranking of websites Canara Bank holds the best global and Indian rank. Among the private banks HDFC Bank Limited holds the best global and Indian ranks.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effectiveness of using convalescent plasma to treat moderate coronavirus disease 2019 (covid-19) in adults in India.DesignOpen label, parallel arm, phase II, multicentre, randomised controlled trial.Setting39 public and private hospitals across India.Participants464 adults (≥18 years) admitted to hospital (screened 22 April to 14 July 2020) with confirmed moderate covid-19 (partial pressure of oxygen in arterial blood/fraction of inspired oxygen (PaO2/FiO2) ratio between 200 mm Hg and 300 mm Hg or a respiratory rate of more than 24/min with oxygen saturation 93% or less on room air): 235 were assigned to convalescent plasma with best standard of care (intervention arm) and 229 to best standard of care only (control arm).InterventionsParticipants in the intervention arm received two doses of 200 mL convalescent plasma, transfused 24 hours apart. The presence and levels of neutralising antibodies were not measured a priori; stored samples were assayed at the end of the study.Main outcome measureComposite of progression to severe disease (PaO2/FiO2ResultsProgression to severe disease or all cause mortality at 28 days after enrolment occurred in 44 (19%) participants in the intervention arm and 41 (18%) in the control arm (risk difference 0.008 (95% confidence interval −0.062 to 0.078); risk ratio 1.04, 95% confidence interval 0.71 to 1.54).ConclusionConvalescent plasma was not associated with a reduction in progression to severe covid-19 or all cause mortality. This trial has high generalisability and approximates convalescent plasma use in real life settings with limited laboratory capacity.
