Muitas pontes das rodovias brasileiras correm o risco de se tornarem funcionalmente obsoletas e estruturalmente deficientes, caso não tenham seus tabuleiros alargados e suas estruturas reforçadas para se adequarem às novas dimensões transversais e cargas adotadas na ampliação da malha viária nacional. Apesar disso, verifica-se ainda que a literatura técnica sobre pontes está quase sempre direcionada para o projeto e construção de obras novas, de modo que os projetos de alargamento de pontes existentes constituem um tema ainda pouco explorado. Diante disso, esta pesquisa busca analisar a distribuição de momentos fletores e forças cortantes devidos à carga móvel em pontes curvas que passaram por processo de alargamento, visando entender como a variação da rigidez do concreto nos trechos alargados afeta essa distribuição. Para isso, os alargamentos foram executados de maneira simétrica, admitindo ora rigidez igual ora superior à do tabuleiro pré-existente. No total, foram concebidos 72 modelos, mediante variação não apenas da rigidez dos trechos alargados, mas também do raio de curvatura, número de longarinas, tipo de seção transversal e inclusão de transversinas intermediárias. As análises se basearam nos Fatores de Distribuição dos Momentos Fletores (FDMF’s) e das Forças Cortantes (FDFC’s), obtidos através do Método dos Elementos Finitos (MEF), por intermédio do software CsiBridge® v21 e os métodos analíticos propostos na literatura, V-Load e M/R , admitindo as cargas móveis do veículo tipo TB-450 da ABNT NBR 7188 (2013). O carregamento móvel foi aplicado segundo duas condições, a saber: (a) o caso de carga 01 com o veículo-tipo fixado na posição mais externa do tabuleiro, e (b) o caso de carga 02 com veículo posicionado na linha central do tabuleiro. Para o caso de carga 02, no geral, observou-se afluência das cargas para os trechos de maior rigidez, aliviando as longarinas pré-existentes. No entanto, pela aplicação do caso de carga 01, em muitos casos, as longarinas contidas no trecho alargado interno também foram sujeitas a alívios, constituindo uma situação pouco desejável. Apesar disso, de maneira geral, os resultados mostraram que a magnitude dos acréscimos ou reduções de esforços experimentados pelas longarinas é diretamente proporcional à rigidez nos alargamentos. A significant fraction of Brazilian bridges is at risk of becoming functionally obsolete and structurally deficient if they are not reinforced and widened to conform to the new dimensional and load patterns. Still, technical literature mainly focuses on designing and constructing new structures, leaving the field of bridge widening relatively unexplored. In this context, this research aims to analyze the distribution of bending moments and shear forces due to the mobile load in curved bridges that have undergone a process of widening. This approach allows an analysis of how the transverse variation of stiffness affects bending moment and shear force distribution. The widenings were performed symmetrically, admitting stiffness equal to or greater than that of the pre-existing deck. The study considered the variation of additional segment's concrete strength, curvature radius, girder number, and cross-section type, as well as diaphragm insertion, 72 models were developed. The results were based on Bending Moment (BMDF) and Shear Force Distribution Factor (SFDF), which were obtained through FEM, using the CsiBridge v21 and the analytical methods proposed in the literature, V-Load and M/R. The analysis considered the design truck in two different positions on the deck: load case 01, with the vehicle-type fixed at the outermost position of the deck, and load case 02, with the vehicle positioned on the centerline of the deck. Regarding load case 02, in general, stresses relocate toward the additional and stiffer areas, relieving the original girders. However, concerning load case 01, more often than not, the additional internal girders also experience stress reduction, which is not desirable. In conclusion, the variations tend to grow with the strengthening of the additional segments. Overall, the results showed that the magnitude of the increases or decreases in the amount of stress experienced by the girders is directly proportional to the widening stiffness.
