This article examines the history of leguminous grasses in the Brazilian Cerrado between the early 1950s and early 1970s. The westward expansion of the Brazilian agrarian frontier was a massive ecological transformation, propelled by a transnational process that relied on a series of actors beyond the national borders, most notably the Rockefeller-sponsored IRI research institute. However, as the article demonstrates, this epistemic transformation was also crucially complemented by the ecological potential of a set of leguminous grasses that gave an essential contribution to the ecological reconversion of the Brazilian Cerrado. These sturdy nitrogen-fixing species grew extensively - and mostly autonomously - on these arid territories, propelling agrarian development in the region. However, while the successful interaction between anthropogenic and non-anthropogenic actors led to successful techno-scientific and economic results, it also led to severe socio-environmental consequences.

β-titanium shape memory alloys are used as shape memory-based biomedical applications and superelastic materials because they are made up of non-toxic components. Also, their behaviors are more semilar with that of human bone and dental biological tissues, such as biocompatibility, superior corrosion resistance, low density, and low modulus of elasticity. In the current study, the effect of Ta additive on the physical properties of Ti-Nb alloy has been investigated. Ti-Nb-Ta alloy samples were produced such that the Tantalum (Ta) element was substituted instead of Niobium (Nb), and the induction arc melting was used to melting the mixed powders. To investigate the crystal structure, microstructure, and phase transformation temperatures of all samples, the X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopic (SEM), and Diffraction Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) measurements have been used. Both β-rich and α peaks were observed in the XRD and SEM measurements. Also, the DSC results revealed that the Ti-Nb-Ta alloys have only austenite transformation temperatures and their phase austenite phase transformation were decreased by the effect of Ta additive, additionally, the enthalpy change in〖 E〗_3 sample ( Ti_75.5 Nb_22.5 Ta_2 (%at)) has the highest value, while E_4 sample ( Ti_75.5 Nb_21.5 Ta_3 (%at)) has the lowest respective value.

Dalit resistance gained prominence in postcolonial India through Dalit literature, with Dalit life writing emerging as a significant way to address ongoing problems and issues faced by Dalit communities. Dalit personal narratives are not mere reflections into the past but lived experiences with a timely and current sociological base. Dalit narratives have become a platform for social and political activism against various hegemonic discourses that otherwise exclude the experiences of the Dalit population. Moreover, Dalit women suffer many layers of oppression and violence, and there is a necessity to understand the intersectionality of Dalit women’s realities. Hence this article analyses select personal narratives of two Dalit women writers: P. Sivakami’s The Grip of Change ([1989] 2006) and ₹Author’s Notes: Gowri’ ([1999] 2006); and Bama’s Karukku ([1992] 2005). The ₹Author’s Notes: Gowri’ is a reflection on The Grip of Change and the two narratives are collectively referred to as The Grip of Change. This article attempts to understand the extent to which Dalit personal narratives transform from aesthetics to activism. This article analyses the narrative technique and form used in the narratives and explores how the narratives expose embodied issues to foster activism in and through the content.

Resumen Este texto presenta los resultados de una investigación de tipo cuantitativo que utiliza la estadística descriptiva para identificar las perspectivas de un grupo de estudiantes de educación media de Bogotá (n=764), en torno a quiénes son, según su opinión, los personajes históricos más importantes de la historia nacional. A través de la construcción de un índice de relevancia histórica sustentado en la frecuencia de evocación y la relevancia asignada a cada personaje, se identificaron una serie de principios de identidad histórica en los que confluyen permanencias de figuras ejemplares/tradicionales asociadas a la narrativa oficial y emergencias de nuevos referentes que representan fuerzas de resistencia y de negación de ideas y prácticas sociales hegemónicas. Los resultados evidencian que el aprendizaje histórico no solo depende de los procesos formales de escolarización, sino que, además, se estructura a partir de diferentes dimensiones que forman y son expresión de la cultura histórica. Abstract This text presents the results of a quantitative research project that uses descriptive statistics to identify the perspectives of a group of middle school students in Bogotá (n = 764), about who, in their opinion, are the most important historical figures from national history. Through the construction of a historical relevance index based on the frequency of evocation and the relevance assigned to each character, a series of principles of historical identity were identified in which they converge, permanence of exemplary / traditional figures associated with the official narrative, and emergencies of new references that represent forces of resistance and denial of hegemonic ideas and social practices. The results show that historical learning not only depends on formal schooling processes, but that it is also structured on the basis of different dimensions that form, and are, an expression of historical culture. Resumo Este texto apresenta os resultados de uma pesquisa quantitativa que utiliza estatística descritiva para identificar as perspectivas de um grupo de estudantes do ensino médio de Bogotá (n = 764), sobre quem, em sua opinião, são as figuras históricas mais importantes da história nacional. Através da construção de um índice de significância histórica com base na frequência de evocação e na relevância atribuída a cada personagem, foi identificada uma série de princípios de identidade histórica em que convergem, permanência de figuras exemplares / tradicionais associadas à narrativa oficial e, emergências de novas referências que representam forças de resistência e negação de ideias hegemônicas e práticas sociais. Os resultados mostram que a aprendizagem histórica não depende apenas dos processos escolares formais, mas também é estruturada com base em diferentes dimensões que formam e são uma expressão da cultura histórica.

Актуальним завданням безперервної освіти дорослих стає запровадження андрагогічного та акмеологічного підходів. Мета. Аналіз якості та ступеня сприйняття засобів педагогічного впливу на формування і підсилення професійних компетенцій у лікарів-анестезіологів різних вікових груп. За результатами інтерв’ю та анонімного анкетування лікарів-інтернів під час проходження очного навчання та слухачів курсу тематичного удосконалення та передатестаційного циклу на кафедрі анестезіології, інтенсивної терапії та медицини невідкладних станів ФПО ДЗ «Дніпропетровська медична академія МОЗ України» визначали ступінь задоволеності якістю наданих освітніх послуг і актуальність запропонованих способів модернізації освітнього процесу. Аналіз показав, що майже 95 % завідувачів відділень анестезіології та інтенсивної терапії (ВАІТ) відзначили необхідність максимально практично-орієнтованої моделі підготовки фахівців. На їх думку, спектр набутих лікарських умінь і практичних навичок повинен бути найширшим і не залежати від місця роботи та ступеня затребування. Обмеження переліку навичок відповідно до профілю ВАІТ підтримало всього 5 % опитаних. Однак усі одностайно погодилися, що практичні навички мають поєднуватися з фундаментальними знаннями та систематично закріплюватися. Зараз це відтворюється за допомогою манекенів у спеціальних класах і в умовах симуляційного центру. Тому більшості лікарів (82,7 %) не все одно, наскільки цікаві цикли тематичного удосконалення. Використання фантомів і простих манекенів без функції зворотного зв’язку дозволяє відпрацьовувати технічний навик, проте не відображає ступеня компетентнісного засвоєння. Сучасні вимоги суспільства до підготовки лікарів-анестезіологів протягом усього етапу післядипломної освіти передбачають кардинальні зміни програм і технологій викладання з упровадженням і освоєнням нових форм освітньої діяльності: дистанційних та імітаційних форм навчання, інтерактивних лекцій, майстер-класів.

Background Medical and pathology education has gone through an immense transformation from traditional face-to-face teaching mode to virtual mode during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study evaluated the effectiveness of online histopathology teaching in medical education during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic in Griffith University, Australia. Methods Second-year medical students (n = 150) who had previously completed one year of face-to-face histopathology teaching, completed an online questionnaire rating their learning experiences before and during the COVID-19 pandemic after the completion of their histology and pathology practical sessions. The students' histopathology assessment results were then compared to the histopathology results of a prior second-year cohort to determine if the switch to online histopathology teaching had an impact on students' learning outcome. Results A thematic analysis of the qualitative comments strongly indicated that online histopathology teaching was instrumental, more comfortable to engage in and better structured compared to face-to-face teaching. Compared to the previous year's practical assessment, individual performance was not significantly different (p = 0.30) and compared to the prior cohort completing the same curriculum the mean overall mark was significantly improved from 65.36% ± 13.12% to 75.83% ± 14.84% (p Conclusions The transformation of teaching methods during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic improved student engagement without any adverse effects on student learning outcomes in histology and pathology education.

This thesis will investigate the possibilities to capitalize the opportunity of the transformation process and propose an architectural response to aid Markham to reinvent a distinct identity. Therefore, this essay will be separated into two parts. Part One will examine the background information such as, philosophical concepts, precedents, academic articles and opinions. Part Two will synthesize the research information from Part One and generate an architectural response. Additionally, it will analyze the best possible site location for this architectural response proposal.

Although tourism and hospitality have transformed to be much safer activities compared with the past with the developments in transportation and information technologies, they still involve many risks. This review paper explains and discusses the influence of the perception of risk on consumer behaviour in tourism and hospitality and strategies that can be used to reduce consumers’ risk perceptions. As eliminating or reducing consumers' risk perceptions help tourism and hospitality businesses attract more customers and maintain them, understanding concepts of risk and control may enable tourism and hospitality businesses to establish competitive advantage over their competitors. With this background in mind, the study introduces the concept of risk and the types of risks that may be associated with tourism and hospitality activities. The study also explains factors such as personality, personal characteristics which may influence customers' risk perceptions, and how these influences may take place in various contexts. Then, the study explains the theory of control and types of control which may be used to reduce consumers’ risk perceptions.

The preservation of the historical, urban planning and architectural heritage of historical cities requires a special approach to the environment modernization. The modern period is characterized by the search for new safe waste management algorithms. It often leads to the construction of large-scale discordant objects. This process puts forward new requirements for the preservation of the visual protection zones of cultural heritage objects. The article is devoted to a promising strategy for optimizing of devastated territories. It includes the creation of overpass pedestrian links, which can be an additional source of landscaping, as well as open up new opportunities for the transit of engineering networks. The article analyzes the possibility of using such architectural and spatial solutions to modernize the waste management infrastructure of urban devastated.

Demand for custom solutions is trending. As a result, manufacturing organizations are increasingly challenged to transform from hardware-centric to solution-centric. Many have started either through custom project life cycle or custom project governance. The authors initiated a case study to demonstrate the value of custom project life cycle that is coupled with custom project governance, and to test the personalization theory. Apart from executing actual transformation that utilized the customization, additional data was collected through face-to-face interviews. The findings suggest that custom project life cycle that is coupled with custom project governance could enhance the chances of success.

Many types of drug crimes are already known, but it is common to offender groups to implement them in an organised, coordinated, multi-level framework. Affected by online platforms, drug crimes are undergoing a transformation that presents new challenges for the authorities. Criminal groups also like to (re)take the opportunities offered by the Internet. Platforms that connect to the Dark Web, the Dark Internet (secret network form), have become increasingly popular over the past few years, thanks to the fact that there are also services available which are not available by traditional browsers. Coordinated cooperation between several countries, over several years, is needed to ensure successful detection in cyberspace. This is illustrated by a current EUROPOL report, published on 12 January 2021, which shows that a successful liquidation has occurred in the case of DarkMarket, one of the largest illegal marketplaces, requiring the cooperation of several European Union Member States and several non-European Union countries. In the face of the coronavirus epidemic, organised crime groups are still trying to remain active and resilient, which is not a challenge in the online space at this time, although drug delivery models needed to be changed, but they are trying to maintain the constant cycle of the market through their hiding methods. In my study, I am also looking for answers how the detection and recovery of criminal property is carried out at national and international level, in cases where drug crime takes place in the online space. What is the path of illegally acquired criminal property, how can financial profiling be carried out in these cases? In case of drug offences, we are talking about a special asset recovery where is no victim demanded, because there are very few known victims existing. With my study, I intend to capture the current topicality of drug crime, by detecting methods of committing crimes in the online space, internationally and domestically, and by exploring the current processes of asset discovery and recovery. In this way, I wish to provide results that can be used by the profession.

The article considers the influence of distance learning on changing the role of the teacher in the pedagogical process, and on the choice of applied educational technologies. An empirical research was conducted to study the problems that arise in the course of distance learning. As a result of the data analysis, the hypothesis was confirmed that the majority of respondents changed their motivation for learning; there was a transformation of views on the role of the teacher in the educational process against the background of problems with the psychophysical health of students, the splitting of the integrity of the pedagogical process.

The “Internet Plus” business model calls for the optimization of business education in higher education institutes. The fast pace of “Internet Plus” requires business students to have abundant interdisciplinary knowledge, comprehensive modern business skills, habits of lifelong self-learning, and the courage to innovate. This paper proposes that higher education institutes should improve their business education programs in the following ways: firstly, form teaching alliances to provide interdisciplinary learning opportunities for business students; secondly, establish a social practice tutor team from excellent alumni; thirdly, build an online education platform for alumni to develop lifelong autonomous learning habits; finally, explore the three-tutor training model for business students.

One of the most urgent topics of the present, yet only slowly and arduously proceeding, is the energy transition, especially in the heat and building sector. Here, the basic hypothesis is that collaborations between all stakeholders involved are crucial to accelerate the process. The opening of every individual towards the perspective of others and an overarching joint intention is needed. Working from a sustainability science perspective, it is argued that approaching the transition from inside the system will lead to a common ground for collective action. The authors’ role as communication researchers and transformative scientists is embedded in the broader accompanying research for the energy transition in the building sector (‘Energiewendebauen’). With this paper and authors’ work within the broader research network, an attempt is made to open the minds for innovative ways of working and facilitating the shift between science and practice by fostering thriving collaborations applying communication and collaboration knowledge. For this purpose, a multitude of different methods are drawn upon, some of which will be presented in this paper with a special focus on Generative Scribing, which is an artistic approach established in the context of Theory U. Although the method might initially be perceived as being rather unusual by some people and the practicing of this new way of working and communicating might even be rejected by a few, first findings show that when this method is used, people are intuitively attracted and open up in the process. The riskiest factor in transforming a traditional Business Environment (BE) into an innovative and business lean oriented BE is the role of the business and (e-)Business Transformation Manager (BTM). The basic profile of such a BTM has not been sufficiently investigated in a holistic and educational manner. The characteristics of a suitable BTM profile is the main goal of the author's selection and training framework (STF) research project; that started in the year 2010. In this research paper, the author tries to prove that the STF research methodology, design and prototype (STF_RMDP) can be applied in a "real world case"; that is in fact the final phase. This final phase is labelled the "STF research empirical model". This whole research is a part of the author's doctorate in business administration. The STF_RMDP results define the optimal BTM profile who has to cope with complex business transformation projects (BTP). These BTPs need a specific set of skills, especially for the final and the very difficult implementation phase (Trad, Kalpic, IMRA, 2013-an award winning paper). The BTP's implementation phase is the major cause of high failure rates. The BTMs' needed hands-on skills; these skills should encompass: 1) knowledge of business process and services (BPs) technologies, 2) automated real-time business environments, 3) project management, 4) knowledge integration, 5) organizational behaviour, 6) management sciences methodologies 7) enterprise application integration and other concrete BTP implementation phase know-how artefacts. Therefore the researcher recommends the technocrats profile (Fahroomand, 2004) as a "base profile" for such BTPs; that need to be complemented with crossfunctional skills (Trad, Kalpic, ITI, 2013). More specifically, this research focuses on the influence of the BTMs' hands-on business architecture experience, background and education, on managing complex BTP implementations. Where such transformations integrate avant-garde innovation, knowledge and technology. “We know that those organizations that are consistently successful at managing innovation-related changes outperform their peers in terms of growth and financial performance” (Tidd, 2006). The author has based his research model on the main fact that only around 12% of business organizations successfully manage innovation-related business transformations initiatives. Therefore, there is an important need for a dynamic and automated way of selecting and training future BTMs. BTMs who would be capable of implementing such complex BP based systems (Tidd, Bessant, 2009). Where STF_RMDP is the empirical model with which the author wants to prove that future BTMs can be selected to successfully build or reengineer various electronic and lean BE (ELBE) components. The empirical model will contain a real world prototype and surveys that will generate the need data sets the qualitative research approach.

Experimental studies carried out in the conditions of a laboratory rolling mill have determined the regularities of the processes of metal flow and roll-out defects of billets during deformation in roughing stands of a universal rail and structural mill. In relation to the box size and gauges types "lying trapeze" and "trapeze", we have determined a significant irregularity of drawing coefficients of the surface layers by roll length and width, as well as the irregularity of drawing in the cross-section of the roll during rolling. It is shown that during deformation the surface zones adjacent to the ends of the roll are subjected to the greatest drawing, and dependence of irregularity of the drawing coefficients over the cross-section of the roll on the shape of the deformation zone has a distinct power-law character. We have established a significant effect of the drawing coefficient, as well as the location and spatial orientation of the billet defects, while the geometric dimensions of the defects don't have such influence on their roll-out coefficients. According to the obtained data, the defects located on the rolling edges are rolled out most intensively both in depth and width, and the transverse defects are rolled out the least intensively. At the same time, the rollability of any defects increases with the growth of drawing coefficient. It is determined that near the side edges of the roll there is an increase in the width (disclosure) of transverse and inclined defects relative to the rolling axis, as well as the disclosure of defects occurs at the end sections of the roll in relation to longitudinal defects. For internal defects, it was found that, similar to surface defects, an increase in the drawing coefficient during rolling contributes to an increase in their roll-out, while the rollout coefficient of internal defects in absolute value is significantly lower than this indicator for surface defects. It was determined that the minimum roll-out coefficient of internal defects occurs when they are located in the core of the sample, while the roll-out coefficient of such defects increases linearly when moving towards the roll surface. The influence of the location, spatial orientation, and drawing coefficient on the rollability of surface and internal defects is generalized in the form of regression equations. It makes it possible to use them in practice to predict the quality of finished rolled metal when changing rolling modes.

The purpose of the article. The aim of the article is to define new concepts of transformation and reengineering of business processes, their types, properties and research of significance in the development of territories. Methodology. The theoretical and methodological basis of the study are the scientific works of scientists in the study of business process management in the system of competitive development of territories. To achieve this goal, the following research methods were used: theoretical generalization – providing the basic characteristics of models of economic development in the conditions of transformational changes in national economies; methods of positive and normative analysis – to determine the strategy and priorities for the transformation of regional development. Results. It is proved that transformation is a permanent form of life, a movement in which old and new coexist, in certain conditions innovative spheres survive and develop, such as material and technical and social base of scientific and technological progress, reforms, social consequences and sometimes negative for society neoplasms and deformities. Reforms do not stop historical, evolutionary transformations, they give them new impulses, directions, limit or expand the scale of their impact on all aspects of society. It is substantiated that the strategy of “catching up” and the strategy of “advanced technologies” should be implemented simultaneously, not in turn, as their common goal is to achieve a new technological level of the Ukrainian economy. It is determined that the strategy of “catching up” can be used in the manufacture of household appliances, engines and in the automotive and chemical industries. It is proved that Ukraine can and should pursue a strategy of “advanced technologies” in the production of certain weapons, aerospace and shipbuilding industry, chemical, heavy and energy engineering, transport, information technology, participate in global cooperation in nanotechnology and biotechnology. Prospects for the transformation of territories are identified, including: transition from extensive to intensive management methods, implementation of programs to increase regional production of goods, priority of small farms, development of social reforms, priority of small farms, restructuring of the regional economy. Practical meaning. Models of economic development for transformational changes in national economies can be used by regional public authorities. Prospects for further research. Study of strategy and priorities for regional development transformation.

Digital manufacturing pretends to revolutionize manufacturing, its methods are increasingly increasing its participation in the industrial, scientific and technological fields worldwide, being a key point within the named "Industry 4.0", it is so in Ecuador the use of these laboratories, in conjunction with specialized machinery and CAD (Computer Aided Design), have been growing gradually in recent years. What is intended in this study is to collect data, through qualitative and quantitative research, on the development of digital manufacturing within this country, studying the companies that provide related services, and taking into consideration their progress within the evolution of industry 4.0, as well as the projects executed and proposed; With which it has been possible to determine the presence of this technology, adequate equipment and its growth at the national level with the so-called manufacturing laboratories. The paper examines the main mechanisms for protecting intellectual rights and liability for their infringement when using virtual and augmented reality technologies. The author notes that the market for these technologies is still experimental. Analyzing the prognostic information of experts in the field under consideration, the author identifies the most effective technical means of protection, as well as mechanisms of responsibility for infringement of intellectual rights in the implementation of these technologies. Digital fingerprint technologies, digital marking of works, as well as copyright traps are included into technical means of protecting intellectual rights. The author highlights difficulties in the implementation of jurisdictional forms of protection of intellectual rights when they are infringed in virtual and augmented reality. In this regard, it is concluded that it is necessary to form an electronic justice system to consider disputes concerning intellectual rights in the field of virtual and augmented reality.

Ecological transformation creates many challenges for public natural resource management and requires managers to grapple with new relationships to change and new ways to manage it. In the context of unfamiliar trajectories of ecological change, a manager can resist, accept, or direct change, choices that make up the resist-accept-direct (RAD) framework. In this article, we provide a conceptual framework for how to think about this new decision space that managers must navigate. We identify internal factors (mental models) and external factors (social feasibility, institutional context, and scientific uncertainty) that shape management decisions. We then apply this conceptual framework to the RAD strategies (resist, accept, direct) to illuminate how internal and external factors shape those decisions. Finally, we conclude with a discussion of how this conceptual framework shapes our understanding of management decisions, especially how these decisions are not just ecological but also social, and the implications for research and management.

Despite striking global change, management to ensure healthy landscapes and sustained natural resources has tended to set objectives on the basis of the historical range of variability in stationary ecosystems. Many social–ecological systems are moving into novel conditions that can result in ecological transformation. We present four foundations to enable a transition to future-oriented conservation and management that increases capacity to manage change. The foundations are to identify plausible social–ecological trajectories, to apply upstream and deliberate engagement and decision-making with stakeholders, to formulate management pathways to desired futures, and to consider a portfolio approach to manage risk and account for multiple preferences across space and time. We use the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska as a case study to illustrate how the four foundations address common land management challenges for navigating transformation and deciding when, where, and how to resist, accept, or direct social–ecological change.

With the continuous development of traditional media in China, talents in the media industry continue to emerge, and the continuous updating and upgrading of media accelerate the rapid integration of media carriers, making the birth of " Fusion Media”. With the rapid update and iteration of financial media, it can be widely disseminated and applied. While the traditional media industry is impacted by financial media, it also faces new challenges and opportunities. Therefore, in the rapid development of the media industry, traditional media needs to innovate the old communication mode and content. Broadcasting and hosting professionals as the link and bridge between the masses and the media, such changes also put forward more stringent requirements on the professional ability of broadcasting and hosting professionals, and the form and content of the work has become more diversified. Hence, in order to cope with the advent of the fusion media era, it is also important to improve one's professionalism and practical skills. How can these competencies be further enhanced to meet the needs of today's media industry and the public, and what are some examples of successful transformations in the media industry? To address these questions, this paper first analyses the changes in the broadcasting industry in the context of media convergence, and then further explores the competencies that broadcasting professionals need to possess in the era of "Fusion Media". Recommendations are also provided correspondingly in the last section of this paper as well.

Digital technology is gradually changing the organisation of production and work. In this article, the authors explore the implications of such developments for workers through the lens of skill, and the skill needs developing out of the shift towards Industry 4.0 technologies now being employed within the European steel industry. Specifically, the article examines the preparedness of initial vocational training systems to support adaptation to Industry 4.0 and the changes in work and employment that will follow. The article addresses such developments from the point of view of institutional theory, analysing how different institutional architectures influence responses to change.

The digital world is branching in two directions: techno-authoritarianism – as Chinese technology firms increase their presence in Europe; and a network of private US corporations deploying a business model that is also based on total surveillance. This slow-motion splintering of the internet has accelerated during the pandemic. From its position of vulnerability, the EU is emerging as a third way in the technological transformation, as it pledges to develop systemic rules for global digital governance. Brussels believes that this process of digital self-determination is essential to protect its model and the ethical principles of technological development.

This article examines how the crisis of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) became a crucible, or a means of transformation, for global educators. How teachers leverage their lived experience of teaching through the implications of COVID-19 to transform identity and practice is a new phenomenon and merits examination. Through a collection of interviews, the ways in which the life experiences of teaching through COVID-19 worked to create new identities in teachers and new practices within the classroom is examined. Data was gathered through informal interviews from eleven educators teaching through the crisis of COVID-19 across the world, including four continents and six countries. Drawing on simple thematic analysis, a narrative approach was utilized to examine the process of transformation in teachers across the globe. The findings and analysis of this research will help those working with teachers better understand how teachers leverage a crisis be it COVID-19, or another disruptive force, as a crucible for transformation.

Introduction. In 2021 the labor market takes on a new format. Under the influence of various factors, a new social and labor platform “Trud” is being formed. The COVID-19 virus pandemic has dealt a devastating blow to the economy and the world of work in all countries and in the world in particular, causing triple consequences for eco­nomic growth - a supply shock, a demand shock, and an international trade shock. Three main phe­nomena of our time - demography - XXI, globaliza­tion - XXI and "Industry 4.0" have changed and continue to radically change the world of econom­ics, institutions and the world of society [18]. Digi­talization, virtualization of the economy, its hybrid nature, the emergence of various modifications - platform economy, on-demand economy, general consumption economy, gig economy - transform not only the social and labor space [19]. Changes are taking place in the entire social structure of the economy and society, the classic lines between pro­ducers and consumers, workers and employers are being erased; the former polarity of relations and interdependence between the owners of labor and owners of capital is changing. Thus, the social stra­tum of the new digital economy and network socie­ty is acquiring the character of non-classical, atypi­cal, dynamic and unstable forms. The whole system of social and labor relations in the labor market is becoming the same. In the short term, in the econ­omy and society as a whole, under the influence of information and communication and other break­through technologies, the growth of the availability of digital infrastructure, certain changes will occur in the labor market, in this connection, the article highlights groups of technologies that will signifi­cantly affect it: cognitive technologies, cloud tech­nologies, artificial intelligence, industrial Internet, Internet of things, Big Date, blockchain, quantum technologies, neurotechnologies, virtual reality technologies. It has been proven that technologies have already rapidly entered human life, radically changing the conditions of life, motivational at­titudes, and the value of forming the competitive­ness of labor resources. Thus, the transformations taking place in the social and labor sphere under the influence of information and communication technologies, network systems, other resources and institutions of the new digital economy are a com­plete, comprehensive transformation of values, mo­tivational attitudes, hierarchies, sources of develop­ment, resource structure, forms and technologies. interaction, forms and scale of employment, level, structure, income differentiation.Materials and methods. The study was car­ried out on the basis of the following methodologi­cal framework, namely: an integrated approach, a systematic approach, methods of comparative, situational analysis and synthesis, a method of abstract-logical assessment, a method of concre­tization, methods of detailing, typology, grouping, systematization and generalization, induction and deduction, methods of statistical analysis, graphi­cal method.Research results. As a result of the study, an assessment was made of the potential for intra-in­dustry polarization, taking into account the use of information and communication technologies (here­inafter - ICT). It has been proven that information and communication technologies replace individual tasks that are performed by people; respectively, in the market the share of highly qualified experts as well as low-skilled service personnel will increase.The proportion of workers who used ICT in their activities is identified. It was determined that in Russia the maximum number of workers who used ICT in their professional activities were employed in the fields of information and telecommunica­tions, as well as scientific and technical activities. Indicators of the share of workers who used ICTs that were close to the average for Russia were noted in industry, the minimum use of ICTs was in the field of transport, warehousing, postal and courier activities, in the field of water supply. As a result, this made it possible to identify a number of enter­prises with the maximum potential for introducing the latest breakthrough technologies and for refor­matting the structure of the employed population.Discussion and conclusion. The role of the skills and competencies of workers necessary for the formation of competitive labor resources and over­coming various challenges in the labor market is revealed. A core of skills and competencies for effec­tive employment is proposed based on the O*NET content model. It has been proved that promoting the development of non-routine skills is the most relevant strategy for the formation of the competi­tiveness of labor resources in the context of digital and post-viral trends in the transformation of so­ciety. Non-routine social skills related to employee interpersonal interactions and social perception are complemented by ICT applications, with the aim of empowering human capabilities with technology.

Along with the cultural transformation and renewal process of the world, the need for reinterpretation in the field of translation has come to the fore. The increase in cultural activities and transformations has led to the emergence of new dimensions in the communication and interaction of societies. Especially after the second half of the 20th century, the rapid social, economic and cultural mobility, which started to gain a new dimension, intensified the cultural interaction, and also led to the production of many written and oral works in this field. The dimensions of cultural data transfer, including these produced works, have begun to increase. The most important role in the transfer of these data between cultures and languages ​​is the translation institution, which has the importance of a cultural carrier beyond being a purely linguistic transmission tool. In this study, firstly, the concept of culture is examined within the general framework. Following this, the concept of translation and its relationship with the phenomenon of culture are discussed. In the study, an answer is sought to the question of what exactly is understood from the concept of culture. This study examines the transformation of everyday life through smartphones, focusing on the daily experiences of smartphone users in Turkey. With their multimedia features, smartphones (defined as a “melting pot” from the technological perspective or polymedia and metamedia in a broader sense) take an important place in users’ everyday lives. As these features and the services accessible through smartphones are offered in commodity form, they inevitably result in the exploitation of users’ labour, the commodification of user data, the shifting of paid work into ‘leisure time’, and finally the transformation of everyday life through smartphones. The main argument of this study is that, under these social conditions, smartphones, referred to as “a melting pot” from the technological perspective, turn into a melting pot of exploitation, and their users experience these interactions not as direct economic relations but as routine social relations.

Anselm Kiefer’s monumental Secret of the Ferns (2007) redirects the artist’s apocalyptic sensibility, honed in response to the Holocaust, to the slow violence of extinction. The installation adopts a foundational practice of early modern natural history: the herbarium’s preservation and presentation of dried, pressed plant specimens. It also mobilizes the symbolic associations of ferns, which Kiefer calls “the first plants” but which are reimagined in the gallery space as the last plants in a postapocalyptic future. The framed specimens hang in a massive hall, with two abandoned concrete bunkers spewing out coal in the center—an allusion to ferns as the source of fossil fuels. Coal appears again in the enigmatic charcoal inscriptions on the frames that allude to ferns’ rich associations with rituals of magic and transformation. The overall mood is of a temporality at the end of time, a proleptic elegy that anticipates the extinction of even the most common and resilient plants, and the human cultures associated with them. Transmuted from mnemonic device to vehicle of commemoration, Kiefer’s apocalyptic herbarium elicits grief and mourning—but also, perhaps, what Judith Butler has called “the transformative effect of loss.”

The article examines the trajectory of changes in the post-Soviet period in the ideological complex, which was called “Soviet ideology” in the “late” USSR. The theoretical and methodological frame work of the analysis consists of the theory of political regimes, as well as elements of the theory of ideologies and the theory of political discourse. The features and peculiarities of the “Soviet ideology” in the conditions of the “post-totalitarian” political regime in the “late” USSR, which led to its weakening and decline after the collapse of the Soviet regime, are investigated. Under the conditions of the post-Soviet political regime in Russia, the “Soviet ideology” disintegrated into an ideological component (the basis of the ideology of post-Soviet communist parties) and a political-cultural component (the pattern of post-Soviet political culture). Both components created a specific problem of relations with these phenomena for the ruling power. The study of the discourse of power on the subject of “Soviet ideology” (conducted mainly on the material of speeches and statements of the presidents of the Russian Federation) allowed us to identify three successive discursive strategies of such relations: the strategy of “struggle”, the strategy of “adaptation” and the strategy of “selective use”. The last of them was used in the 2010s in the conditions of consolidation of the authoritarian political regime. It made it possible to selective lyinclude the legacy of “Soviet ideology” in the ideological complex of the ruling regime, which is characterized by the use of not full-fledged political ideologies, but “identitarian narratives” that allow the inclusion of heterogeneous elements of ethno cultural, historical, religious, etc. traditions. Comparative studies also show that the orientation in the ideological sphere to such “identitarian narratives” is a characteristic trend of modern neo-autocracies.

Every individual is unique and may serve a unique purpose in this life. Education is widely accepted to be the means of transformation of individuals so that they may achieve their unique success or create their own lives. However, not every individual seems to be realizing their true potential. This paper explores the concept of entropy in education system as a force that is usually imagined to oppose realization of potential of an individual during life in this phenomenal world. Alternatively, the same may provide an impetus that is necessary to bring in organization in oneself to realize the hidden potential. A one group Pretest-Posttest quasi-experimental design was used to draw the conclusions on data obtained from participants of workshops in three different modes, viz. face-to-face Pre COVID-19, face-to-face in COVID-19 with SOPs, and online in COVID-19. Realization of an individual's potential was represented as a dependent variable, i.e. transformation in cognition, skills, and attitude while the independent variables taken into account were the meaningful interactions of an individual with peers and advanced learners in a designed environment. It was inferred from the results that transformation in learners' cognition (6-30 %), skills (0-20 %), and attitude (5-32 %) occurred through human discourse, in a community of inquiry.

Ali Smith’s Autumn (2016), coined “the first Brexit novel”, relied on a very “time-sensitive” publication schedule: weeks after the manuscript had been submitted, the book was already published, documenting almost in real-time the aftermath of the Brexit referendum. The remaining three volumes of the Seasonal Quartet (Winter, 2017; Spring, 2019; Summer, 2020) also followed a similarly tight schedule; hence the last piece of the collection, published in the summer of 2020, could already reflect on yet another crisis: that of the COVID-19 pandemic and the first lockdown in Britain. The Quartet offers art as a vital coping mechanism for such critical times, but the present paper argues that the function of art in the Quartet is even more pervasive than that. The sequence’s entire poetics of transformation is founded on art as a mediatized means of experiencing the world, which is then turned into a rhetoric of transformation. The paper traces the three main motifs of the Quartet: that of the tree, the stone, and the cloud/sky to look at how their art-based transformations create a sense of connectedness in the four novels.

Without deep transformations in the economy that go beyond incremental gains in decarbonization, we remain on course for catastrophic global heating. Some businesses have pledged to go carbon-neutral, carbon-trading schemes are expanding, and a growing divestment movement has pressured investment funds to shun fossil fuel producers. But financial forces are also part of the problem, still driving more production and consumption of fossil fuels. Achieving transformational shifts in finance, production, and governance calls for a more disruptive politics underpinned by shifts in power relations.

The topic of urban transformations has attracted the attention of researchers as it is one of the basic issues through which cities can be transformed towards sustainability. A specific level of transformation levels according to a philosophical concept known as a crossing. This article has relied on a specific methodology that aims to find a new approach for urban transformation based on the crossing concept. This concept derives from philosophical entrances based on the concepts of (being, process, becoming, and integration). Four levels have been for the crossing are (normal, ascending, leap, and descending). Each of these levels includes specific characteristics that distinguish it. The results showed that there is no descending crossing in the study area and that four indicators that have achieved leap crossing are: (coverage ratio, compactness, Effectiveness of the pedestrian and bicycle movement, and proximity. As for ascending crossing achieved in three indicators are: mix land use, blocks' length, and connectivity, as for normal crossing achieved in three indicators are: diversity of building heights, population density, and housing density. These results help in making the planning decision to transform traditional Karbala city into a sustainable city, by giving priority in development to the indicators that have achieved ascending crossing because it takes less time and effort to reach the leap crossing in comparison with indicators that have achieved normal crossing.

The study of the transformation of Ukrainian cities in the post-Chornobyl and post-totalitarian transition period highlighted a number of general development trends and regional features of the global urban process. Despite the socio-economic upheavals, Russia's military aggression and population decline, Ukraine has entered the ‘human development high category’ list of countries. Studies have shown that the country urbanization level continues to grow, while balancing its spatial development potential. This is evidenced by the emergence of the ‘South-West Spatial Vector’, the ‘West Sector’ and the ‘Meridional Axis’ of the urbanization process development. This indicates, first, the ‘spatial structures memory’, the presence of which allows us to interpret post-socialist transformations as a ‘return to pre-socialist development trajectories’ of Ukraine in common Pan-European space; secondly, on the cyclical development and reversibility of ‘waves vibrational motion’ of the world urban process; thirdly, the ‘country urbanized space reaction’ to the Russian military aggression in the East of Ukraine, the annexation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and part of the Donbas territories. The specifics of the post-socialist development of the Kyiv Agglomeration reflect the new status of Kyiv and the general trend of development of the European metropolitan network, as well as the ‘gravitational pattern’ of spatial development, which is manifested by territorial uneven economic development and ‘growth poles wave migration’ from center to periphery and vice versa. The post-Chornobyl growth of the tourist attractiveness of the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, where 80% of visitors are foreigners, will contribute to the further transformation of Ukrainian cities. In particular, air communication − the development of Kyiv and the Kyiv Agglomeration; roads − development of bordering cities in the west and south of the country, as well as cities in the areas of Pan-European transport corridors influence; railway - the development of Kyiv, Chernihiv, Slavutych; the Dnipro - Visla waterway project implementation, the purpose of which is the connection of the Baltic and Black Seas - the development of city-river ports along the Dnipro and Pripyat Rivers.
