Large Language Models (LLMs) pose significant privacy risks, potentially leaking training data due to implicit memorization. Existing privacy attacks primarily focus on membership inference attacks (MIAs) or data extraction attacks, but reconstructing specific personally identifiable information (PII) in LLM's training data remains challenging. In this paper, we propose R.R. (Recollect and Rank), a novel two-step privacy stealing attack that enables attackers to reconstruct PII entities from scrubbed training data where the PII entities have been masked. In the first stage, we introduce a prompt paradigm named recollection, which instructs the LLM to repeat a masked text but fill in masks. Then we can use PII identifiers to extract recollected PII candidates. In the second stage, we design a new criterion to score each PII candidate and rank them. Motivated by membership inference, we leverage the reference model as a calibration to our criterion. Experiments across three popular PII datasets demonstrate that the R.R. achieves better PII identical performance compared to baselines. These results highlight the vulnerability of LLMs to PII leakage even when training data has been scrubbed. We release the replicate package of R.R. at a link., Comment: 13 pages, 9 figures

Technology advancements on sensing, communications, and computing directly accelerate the recent development of Internet of Things (IoT), leading to rich and diverse applications in industry and business processes. For enabling IoT applications, smart devices and networks rely on the capabilities for information collection, processing and tight collaboration with their neighbors. However, the rapid proliferation of IoT devices and real-time IoT applications result in dramatically increased demand for communication and computing resources, posing a significant challenge for the underlying resource constrained wireless networks. Due to their resource constraint, it is extremely difficult for such devices and networks to meet stringent requirements of many real-time IoT applications. To overcome these challenges, resource sharing among IoT devices and networks has been studied as an effective solution by exploiting unused resources.

The model-based power allocation algorithm has been investigated for decades, but it requires the mathematical models to be analytically tractable and it usually has high computational complexity. Recently, the data-driven model-free machine learning enabled approaches are being rapidly developed to obtain near-optimal performance with affordable computational complexity, and deep reinforcement learning (DRL) is regarded as of great potential for future intelligent networks. In this paper, the DRL approaches are considered for power control in multi-user wireless communication cellular networks. Considering the cross-cell cooperation, the off-line/on-line centralized training and the distributed execution, we present a mathematical analysis for the DRL-based top-level design. The concrete DRL design is further developed based on this foundation, and policy-based REINFORCE, value-based deep Q learning (DQL), actor-critic deep deterministic policy gradient (DDPG) algorithms are proposed. Simulation results show that the proposed data-driven approaches outperform the state-of-art model-based methods on sum-rate performance, with good generalization power and faster processing speed. Furthermore, the proposed DDPG outperforms the REINFORCE and DQL in terms of both sum-rate performance and robustness, and can be incorporated into existing resource allocation schemes due to its generality.

The model-driven power allocation (PA) algorithms in the wireless cellular networks with interfering multiple-access channel (IMAC) have been investigated for decades. Nowadays, the data-driven model-free machine learning-based approaches are rapidly developed in this field, and among them the deep reinforcement learning (DRL) is proved to be of great promising potential. Different from supervised learning, the DRL takes advantages of exploration and exploitation to maximize the objective function under certain constraints. In our paper, we propose a two-step training framework. First, with the off-line learning in simulated environment, a deep Q network (DQN) is trained with deep Q learning (DQL) algorithm, which is well-designed to be in consistent with this PA issue. Second, the DQN will be further fine-tuned with real data in on-line training procedure. The simulation results show that the proposed DQN achieves the highest averaged sum-rate, comparing to the ones with present DQL training. Prior asymptotic performance analyses are based on the series expansion of the moment-generating function (MGF) or the probability density function (PDF) of channel coefficients. However, these techniques fail for lognormal fading channels because the Taylor series of the PDF of a lognormal random variable is zero at the origin and the MGF does not have an explicit form. Although lognormal fading model has been widely applied in wireless communications and free-space optical communications, few analytical tools are available to provide elegant performance expressions for correlated lognormal channels. In this work, we propose a novel framework to analyze the asymptotic outage probabilities of selection combining (SC), equal-gain combining (EGC) and maximum-ratio combining (MRC) over equally correlated lognormal fading channels. Based on these closed-form results, we reveal the followings: i) the outage probability of EGC or MRC becomes an infinitely small quantity compared to that of SC at large signal-to-noise ratio (SNR); ii) channel correlation can result in an infinite performance loss at large SNR. More importantly, the analyses reveal insights into the long-standing problem of performance analyses over correlated lognormal channels at high SNR, and circumvent the time-consuming Monte Carlo simulation and numerical integration.
