Tangeretin (Tan), a citrus flavonoid, possesses a strong anti-tumor efficacy in various human cancers. However, the precise role of Tan in the development of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) remains unclear. RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) analysis was performed to observe the Tan-related genes in Tan-treated TE-1 cells. The direct relationship between GLI family zinc finger 2 (GLI2) and the promoter of glycoprotein non-metastatic melanoma protein B (GPNMB) was predicted by bioinformatics analysis and validated by luciferase reporter and chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) assays. Cell survival after Tan treatment was assessed by CCK8 assay. Gene expression levels were evaluated by a qRT-PCR, western blot, or immunofluorescence method. Cell migration and invasion were detected by wound-healing and transwell assays. The function of Tan in vivo was examined using xenograft studies. Our data indicated anti-migration and anti-invasion functions of Tan in ESCC cells in vitro. Tan also diminished tumor growth in vivo. Mechanistically, Tan diminished the expression and transcriptional activity of GLI2 in ESCC cells. Silencing of GLI2 resulted in decreased expression of GPNMB by inhibiting GPNMB transcription via the binding site at the GPNMB promoter at position +(1539–1550). Moreover, Tan down-regulated GPNMB expression in ESCC cells, and re-expression of GPNMB reversed anti-migration and anti-invasion functions of Tan in ESCC cells. Our findings uncover anti-migration and anti-invasion effects of Tan in ESCC cells by down-regulating GPNMB by suppressing GLI2-mediated GPNMB transcription, providing new evidence that Tan can function as a therapeutic agent against ESCC. An interfacial C-S bond bridged ZnS/C 3 N 5 S-scheme heterojunction was constructed for photocatalytic H 2 evolution. In photocatalytic reaction, C-S bond was functioned as the "high-speed channel" for electron separation and transfer, and the IEF strength in ZnS/C 3 N 5 was 1.86 × 108 V/m, 2.6 times higher than that in ZnS/C 3 N 4. Moreover, the C-S bond also altered the surface molecular structure of ZnS/C 3 N 5 , and hence the surface reaction was accelerated via improving H 2 O adsorption and activation behaviors. Benefiting from the S-scheme pathway, enhanced IEF strength, and accelerated surface reaction, the photocatalytic H 2 production over ZnS/C 3 N 5 reached up to 20.18 mmol/g/h, 3.2 and 2.5 times higher than those of ZnS/C 3 N 4 and ZnS/C 3 N 5 -300 without C-S bond. Entry into the viable but nonculturable (VBNC) state is a survival strategy adopted by bacteria to survive harsh environment. Although VBNC cells still have metabolic activity, they lose the ability to form colonies on nonselective culture media. Thus, conventional bacterial detection methods, such as plate counting, are unable to detect the presence of VBNC cells. When the environmental conditions are appropriate, VBNC cells can initiate resuscitation, posing a great risk to the safety of public health. The study of the VBNC resuscitation mechanism could provide new insights into the prevention and control of VBNC resuscitation. Uncovering the molecular mechanism of VBNC cell resuscitation by investigating the role of O-antigen ligase (RfaL) in inhibiting the resuscitation of Escherichia coli O157:H7 in the VBNC state. RfaL was screened and verified as a resuscitation inhibitor of VBNC Escherichia coli O157:H7 by detecting resuscitation curve and time-lapse microscopy. The mechanism of RfaL impacts VBNC E. coli resuscitation was investigated by detecting the single cell ATP content, metabolomic changes, NAD(H) content and new protein biosynthesis of WT and Δ rfaL at different stage of resuscitation. Mutation of rfaL , which encoded an O-antigen ligase, markedly shortened the resuscitating lag phase. Further studies indicated that Δ rfaL VBNC cells contained higher ATP levels, and ATP consumption during the resuscitating lag phase was highly correlated with resuscitation efficiency. Metabolomic analysis revealed that ATP was utilized to activate the Handler and salvage pathways to synthesize NAD+, balancing redox reactions to recover cell activity and promote cell resuscitation. Our findings revealed a strategy employed by VBNC cells for revival, that is, using residual ATP to primarily recover metabolic activity, driving cells to exit dormancy. A point cloud is a simple and concise 3D representation, but point cloud generation is a long-term challenging task in 3D vision. However, most existing methods only focus on their effectiveness of generation and auto-encoding separately. Furthermore, both generative adversarial networks (GANs) and auto-encoders (AEs) are the most popular generative models. But there is a lack of related research that investigates the implicit connections between them in the field of point cloud generation. Thus, we propose a new bidirectional network (BI-Net) trained with collaborative learning, introducing more priors through the alternate parameter optimizations of a GAN and AE combination, which is different from the way of combining them at the network structure and loss function level. Specifically, BI-Net acts as a GAN and AE in different data processing directions, where their network structures can be reused. If optimizing only the GAN without the AE, there is no direct constraint of ground truth on the generator's parameter optimization. This unique approach enables better network optimization and leads to superior generation results. Moreover, we propose a nearest neighbor mutual exclusion (NNME) loss to further homogenize the spatial distribution of generated points during the reverse direction. Extensive experiments were conducted, and the results show that the BI-Net produces competitive and high-quality results on reasonable structure and uniform distributions compared to existing state-of-the-art methods. Triethanolamine (TEA) has been broadly used as the organic amine conditioning agent to modify the workability of cement-based materials. However, the effect of TEA on the structure and property of porous silicate cement membranes has not been reported. In this paper, TEA was applied to study its effect on parameters of porous silicate cement membranes based on the preparation method combining freeze casting and heat-dry curing, because it is easy to form complexes with cement particles. The effect and acting mechanism of TEA on porous silicate cement membranes were researched using a series of characterizations and molecular dynamics (MD) simulation. Results showed that TEA significantly improved the performance of porous silicate cement membranes. The addition of TEA changed the pore morphology of porous silicate cement membranes from lamellar structures to cellular structures, with mesoporous size distribution focusing on 2.5–4.5 nm at TEA doping ratio of 0.16 wt%. The oil-water separation performance could reach up to 99.6 %. Through comprehensive comparison, the porous silicate cement membrane with 1.0 wt% TEA showed better holistic preponderance of oil-water separation and permeation flux. Quantum chemistry calculation and MD simulation were used to briefly explain the influence of TEA on phase transformation. MD showed that adding TEA changed the morphology and structure of ice crystals. The percentage of the Ih structure significantly increased from 53 % to 86 % after adding TEA. This study might expand the application of TEA in other aspects and enlighten relevant workers in new experimental designs. The clinical significance of the combination of neutrophil–lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) is unclear. This study investigated the predictive value of pretreatment NLR (pre-NLR) combined with pretreatment PLR (pre-PLR) for the survival and prognosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). A total of 765 patients with non-metastatic NPC from two hospitals were retrospectively analyzed. The pre-NLR-PLR groups were as follows: HRG, high pre-NLR and high pre-PLR. MRG, high pre-NLR and low pre-PLR or low pre-NLR and high pre-PLR. LRG, neither high pre-NLR nor high pre-PLR. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were used to identify the cutoff-value and discriminant performance of the model. We compared survival rates and factors affecting the prognosis among different groups. The 5-year overall survival (OS), local regional recurrence-free survival (LRRFS) and distant metastasis-free survival (DMFS) of NPC patients in HRG were significantly poorer than those in MRG and LRG. The pre-NLR-PLR score was positively correlated with T stage, clinical stage, ECOG, and pathological classification. Multivariate cox regression analysis showed that pre-NLR-PLR scoring system, ECOG, pre-ALB, pre-CRP and pre-LMR were independent risk factors affecting 5-year OS, LRRFS and DMFS. The ROC curve showed that area under the curve (AUC) values of pre-NLR-PLR of 5-year OS, LRRFS and DMFS were higher than those of pre-NLR and pre-PLR. pre-NLR-PLR is an independent risk factor for the prognosis of NPC. The pre-NLR-PLR scoring system can be used as an individualized clinical assessment tool to predict the prognosis of patients with non-metastatic NPC more accurately and easily. Background: Few studies have investigated the relationship between the anion gap, including the corrected anion gap, and patient mortality in intensive care units (ICUs) without restricting the analysis to specific diseases or medical specialties. Our primary objective was to investigate the association between the anion gap and ICU mortality using multiple open-access databases. Methods: We identified 4229 subjects from the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care IV (MIMIC-IV) database, whose entries were from between 2008 and 2019. For each patient, the anion gap and corrected anion gap were calculated, and the study sample was divided into tertile groups (T) according to these levels. The association between the anion gap and in-hospital mortality was assessed using hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) derived from a multivariable-adjusted Cox proportional hazards model. Besides MIMIC-IV, we also incorporated study samples from two other databases (MIMIC-III and electronic ICU) to calculate summary HRs using a random-effects meta-analysis. Results: Within MIMIC-IV, 1015 patients (24%) died during an average follow-up period of 15.5 days. The fully adjusted HRs and 95% CIs for T2 and T3, relative to T1, were 1.31 (95% CI 1.08–1.58) and 1.54 (95% CI 1.24–1.90), respectively. When grouped by corrected anion gap, the results remained statistically significant. In the meta-analysis, the summary HRs and 95% CIs for T2 and T3 were 1.24 (95% CI 1.08–1.43) and 1.55 (95% CI 1.33–1.82), respectively. Background: Current guidelines consider atrial fibrillation (AF) type as the prognostic factor for a recommendation of catheter ablation. We aimed to determine whether LA and LA appendage (LAA) volumes measured using multislice computed tomography (MSCT) were related to long-term outcomes in AF following radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA). Methods: We evaluated 152 consecutive patients with drug-refractory AF (median age, 55.8 ± 9.6 years), including 110 male patients, who underwent RFCA in a single center. All patients underwent MSCT imaging for anatomical assessment. The endpoint of this study was documented AF recurrence after RFCA. Results: The overall procedure success rate was 77.6% (n = 118) during a mean follow-up period of 12.6 months. The LA volume was significantly larger for those who experienced AF recurrence after RFCA than for the patients without recurrent AF after the procedure (153.8 ± 29.9 mL vs. 139.2 ± 34.1 mL, p = 0.025). However, LAA volumes were nearly equivalent between the patients with and without AF recurrence after RFCA (16.2 ± 6.3 mL and 14.7 ± 6.5 mL, respectively; p = 0.235). LA volume ≥ 153.2 mL was the optimal cutoff value for estimating AF recurrence after RFCA, with 94% sensitivity and 66% specificity. LA volume remained an independent predictor of both AF recurrence and permanent AF. Conclusions: LA volume as assessed by MSCT might be helpful for identifying patients likely to achieve successful AF ablation. Background: The comorbidity between diabetes mellitus and depression was revealed, and diabetes mellitus increased the prevalence of depressive disorder, which ranked 13th in the leading causes of disability‐adjusted life‐years. Insulin resistance, which is common in diabetes mellitus, has increased the risk of depressive symptoms in both humans and animals. However, the mechanisms behind the comorbidity are multi‐factorial and complicated. There is still no causal chain to explain the comorbidity exactly. Moreover, Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, insulin and metformin, which are recommended for treating diabetes mellitus‐induced depression, were found to be a risk factor in some complications of diabetes. Aims: Given these problems, many researchers made remarkable efforts to analyze diabetes complicating depression from different aspects, including insulin resistance, stress and Hypothalamic–Pituitary–Adrenal axis, neurological system, oxidative stress, and inflammation. Drug therapy, such as Hydrogen Sulfide, Cannabidiol, Ascorbic Acid and Hesperidin, are conducive to alleviating diabetes mellitus and depression. Here, we reviewed the exact pathophysiology underlying the comorbidity between depressive disorder and diabetes mellitus and drug therapy. Methods: The review refers to the available literature in PubMed and Web of Science, searching critical terms related to diabetes mellitus, depression and drug therapy. Results: In this review, we found that brain structure and function, neurogenesis, brain‐derived neurotrophic factor and glucose and lipid metabolism were involved in the pathophysiology of the comorbidity. Obesity might lead to diabetes mellitus and depression through reduced adiponectin and increased leptin and resistin. In addition, drug therapy displayed in this review could expand the region of potential therapy. Conclusions: The review summarizes the mechanisms underlying the comorbidity. Accurate inferior alveolar nerve (IAN) canal segmentation has been considered a crucial task in dentistry. Failing to accurately identify the position of the IAN canal may lead to nerve injury during dental procedures. While IAN canals can be detected from dental cone beam computed tomography, they are usually difficult for dentists to precisely identify as the canals are thin, small, and span across many slices. This paper focuses on improving accuracy in segmenting the IAN canals. By integrating our proposed frequency-domain attention mechanism in UNet, the proposed frequency attention UNet (FAUNet) is able to achieve 75.55 % and 81.35 % in the Dice and surface Dice coefficients, respectively, which are much higher than other competitive methods, by adding only 224 parameters to the classical UNet. Compared to the classical UNet, our proposed FAUNet achieves a 2.39 % and 2.82 % gain in the Dice coefficient and the surface Dice coefficient, respectively. The potential advantage of developing attention in the frequency domain is also discussed, which revealed that the frequency-domain attention mechanisms can achieve better performance than their spatial-domain counterparts. Treating the most widespread complication of diabetes: diabetic wounds poses a significant clinical obstacle due to the intricate nature of wound healing in individuals with diabetes. Here a novel approach is proposed using easily applicable injectable gelatin/metal/tea polyphenol double nanonetworks, which effectively remodel the wound microenvironment and accelerates the healing process. The gelatin(Gel) crosslink with metal ions (Zr4+) through the amino acids, imparting advantageous mechanical properties like self‐healing, injectability, and adhesion. The nanonetwork's biological functions are further enhanced by incorporating the tea polyphenol metal nanonetwork through in situ doping of the epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) with great antibacterial, self‐healing, antioxidant, and anticancer capabilities. The in vitro and in vivo tests show that this double nanonetworks hydrogel exhibits faster cell migration and favorable anti‐inflammatory and antioxidant properties and can greatly reshape the microenvironment of diabetic wounds and accelerate the wound healing rate. In addition, this hydrogel is completely degraded after subcutaneous injection for 7 days, with nondetectable cytotoxicity in H&E staining of major mice organs and the serum level of liver function indicators. Considering the above‐mentioned merits of this hydrogel, it is believed that the injectable gelatin/metal/tea polyphenol double nanonetworks have broad biomedical potential, especially in diabetic wound repair and tissue engineering. Background: Calmodulins (CaMs)/CaM-like proteins (CMLs) are crucial Ca2+-binding sensors that can decode and transduce Ca2+ signals during plant development and in response to various stimuli. The CaM/CML gene family has been characterized in many plant species, but this family has not yet been characterized and analyzed in peanut, especially for its functions in response to Ralstonia solanacearum. In this study, we performed a genome-wide analysis to analyze the CaM/CML genes and their functions in resistance to R. solanacearum. Results: Here, 67, 72, and 214 CaM/CML genes were identified from Arachis duranensis, Arachis ipaensis, and Arachis hypogaea, respectively. The genes were divided into nine subgroups (Groups I-IX) with relatively conserved exon‒intron structures and motif compositions. Gene duplication, which included whole-genome duplication, tandem repeats, scattered repeats, and unconnected repeats, produced approximately 81 pairs of homologous genes in the AhCaM/CML gene family. Allopolyploidization was the main reason for the greater number of AhCaM/CML members. The nonsynonymous (Ka) versus synonymous (Ks) substitution rates (less than 1.0) suggested that all homologous pairs underwent intensive purifying selection pressure during evolution. AhCML69 was constitutively expressed in different tissues of peanut plants and was involved in the response to R. solanacearum infection. The AhCML69 protein was localized in the cytoplasm and nucleus. Transient overexpression of AhCML69 in tobacco leaves increased resistance to R. solanacearum infection and induced the expression of defense-related genes, suggesting that AhCML69 is a positive regulator of disease resistance. Conclusions: This study provides the first comprehensive analysis of the AhCaM/CML gene family and potential genetic resources for the molecular design and breeding of peanut bacterial wilt resistance. Preparation of porous cement-based materials via freeze casting is a process with great potential. However, freeze-drying and steam curing complicate the preparation process and increase the preparation period. To simplify the process, heat-dry curing was used for replacing freeze-drying and steam curing during operation. The new preparation method combined freeze casting and heat-dry curing possesses characteristics of low-energy, simplicity, and time-saving. Compared with the traditional preparation method of porous cement-based materials, the novel preparation process can shorten preparation time by at least 16 % and retrench energy consumption by at least 18 %. As the improvement condition, temperature of heat-drying curing has great influence on the structure and performance of the samples. Therefore, it is of great significance to discuss the relationship between heat-dry temperatures and structural parameters by SEM, N 2 -adsorption/desorption, TG, and ATR-FTIR. Lamellar pores of membranes can be easier observed at low temperatures than that at 100 °C. The separation performance of oil-water is generally improved with the increase of temperature. Meanwhile, the molecular dynamics simulation was operated to illustrate the reaction mechanism of hydration with three temperatures. The spatiotemporal evolution of photogenerated charge carriers on surfaces and at interfaces of photoactive materials is an important issue for understanding fundamental physical processes in optoelectronic devices and advanced materials. Conventional optical probe-based microscopes that provide indirect information about the dynamic behavior of photogenerated carriers are inherently limited by their poor spatial resolution and large penetration depth. Herein, we develop an ultrafast scanning electron microscope (USEM) with a planar emitter. The photoelectrons per pulse in this USEM can be two orders of magnitude higher than that of a tip emitter, allowing the capture of high-resolution spatiotemporal images. We used the contrast change of the USEM to examine the dynamic nature of surface carriers in an InGaAs/InP avalanche photodiode (APD) after femtosecond laser excitation. It was observed that the photogenerated carriers showed notable longitudinal drift, lateral diffusion, and carrier recombination associated with the presence of photovoltaic potential at the surface. 5G cellular networks are already more than six times faster than 4G networks, and their packet loss rate, especially in the Internet of Vehicles (IoV), can reach 0.5% in many cases, such as when there is high-speed movement or obstacles nearby. In such high bandwidth and high packet loss network environments, traditional congestion control algorithms, such as CUBIC and bottleneck bandwidth and round-trip propagation time (BBR), have been unable to balance flow fairness and high performance, and their flow rate often takes a long time to converge. We propose a congestion control algorithm based on bottleneck routing feedback using an in-network control mode called bottleneck routing feedback (BRF). We use SDN technology (OpenFlow protocol) to collect network bandwidth information, and BRF controls the data transmission rate of the sender. By adding the bandwidth information of the bottleneck in the option field in the ACK packet, considering the flow fairness and the flow convergence rate, a bandwidth allocation scheme compatible with multiple congestion control algorithms is proposed to ensure the fairness of all flows and make them converge faster. The performance of BRF is evaluated via Mininet. The experimental results show that BRF provides higher bandwidth utilization, faster convergence rate, and fairer bandwidth allocation than existing congestion control algorithms in 5G cellular networks. Background: In the ICU ward, septic cirrhotic patients are susceptible to suffering from sepsis-associated encephalopathy and/or hepatic encephalopathy, which are two common neurological complications in such patients. However, the mutual pathogenesis between sepsis-associated and hepatic encephalopathies remains unclear. We aimed to identify the mutual hub genes, explore effective diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets for the two common encephalopathies and provide novel, promising insights into the clinical management of such septic cirrhotic patients. Methods: The precious human post-mortem cerebral tissues were deprived of the GSE135838, GSE57193, and GSE41919 datasets, downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus database. Furthermore, we identified differentially expressed genes and screened hub genes with weighted gene co-expression network analysis. The hub genes were then subjected to Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway functional enrichment analyses, and protein-protein interaction networks were constructed. Receiver operating characteristic curves and correlation analyses were set up for the hub genes. Finally, we explored principal and common signaling pathways by using Gene Set Enrichment Analysis and the association between the hub genes and immune cell subtype distribution by using CIBERSORT algorithm. Results: We identified seven hub genes—GPR4, SOCS3, BAG3, ZFP36, CDKN1A, ADAMTS9, and GADD45B—by using differentially expressed gene analysis and weighted gene co-expression network analysis method. The AUCs of these genes were all greater than 0.7 in the receiver operating characteristic curves analysis. The Gene Set Enrichment Analysis results demonstrated that mutual signaling pathways were mainly enriched in hypoxia and inflammatory response. CIBERSORT indicated that these seven hub genes were closely related to innate and adaptive immune cells. Conclusions: We identified seven hub genes with promising diagnostic value and therapeutic targets in septic cirrhotic patients with sepsis-associated encephalopathy and/or hepatic encephalopathy. Hypoxia, inflammatory, and immunoreaction responses may share the common downstream pathways of the two common encephalopathies, for which earlier recognition and timely intervention are crucial for management of such septic cirrhotic patients in ICU. Previous studies have discussed the impact of the socioeconomically disadvantaged stereotype threat (SDST) on inhibitory control. But the specific influences of the SDST on inhibitory control in different household income groups are not clear. We hypothesized that the SDST had different effects on inhibitory control in individuals with distinct household income, and the attribution of stimuli would influence it as well, especially the currency value of the stimuli. To investigate it, two studies were conducted, which required inhibiting their motor responses. Specifically, Study 1 explored the influence of the SDST on basic inhibitory control. Study 2 analyzed the influence of the SDST on inhibitory control when the input stimuli included currency values and monetary conception. The results revealed that the inhibitory control ability was worse in the lower income group but not during the processing of stimuli with currency value. For the effect of the SDST, it found that there was a negative effect on those with a lower household income and a positive effect on those with a higher household income. Based on the findings, the effect of the SDST on inhibitory control in human beings is not stable; instead, it varies depending on the traits of the stimuli in different tasks and of the individuals themselves. Leg pain can be caused by both lumbar spinal disease and chronic venous disorder (CVD) of leg veins, but their clinical differences have not been thoroughly investigated. This study aimed to determine the incidence of CVD among patients visiting a spine center for leg pain. A total of 196 cases underwent ultrasound examination with a diagnosis rate were 85.7% (168 cases). CVD-diagnosed cases were divided into two groups based on the severity of lumbar spinal disease. The Clinical grades, symptom areas, and symptom types were compared. The differences in symptom improvements with vasoactive medication were also assessed. The most common symptom area was calf then the foot in CVD, while calf then thigh in lumbar spinal disease. Tingling-paresthesia was the most common symptom type for both, with pain and cramping similarly common in CVD and pain more common than cramping in lumbar spinal disease. Considering that the majority of CVD cases (78.6%) had minor cutaneous changes and almost half of cases (41.7%) had refluxes only in tributaries, significant differences in symptom improvement in CVD-dominant group suggested that early-stage venous reflux is a symptomatic disease and a possible cause of leg pain and other symptoms. Simply supported bridges are the main bridge types in many transportation systems, and their damage can significantly reduce their load-carrying capacity. To detect possible damage, the time history and spatial distribution of the static responses of bridges (deflection, rotation, and strain influence lines/deformation curves) have recently been proposed as important indicators due to their good local damage detection ability and low testing cost. This paper attempts to establish connections between different static curve-based damage indicators through the various forms of Maxwell-Betti's law. Damage indicators related to seven static curves are then rewritten as a unified framework. The framework states that all these static curves are directly related to the flexural stiffness distribution of the main girder for the simply supported bridge. Then, the theoretical formulations for the difference between the static curves of bridges in intact and damaged states are derived, and the response difference surfaces (RDSs) are plotted to visualize the sensitivity of different static curves to damage. Sensor placement suggestions for stiffness degradation evaluation are presented based on the damage sensitivity analysis at the end of this paper. With the advancement in big data and cloud computing technology, we have witnessed tremendous developments in applying intelligent techniques in network operation and management. However, learning- and data-based solutions for network operation and maintenance cannot effectively adapt to the dynamic security situation or satisfy administrators' expectations alone. Anomaly detection of time-series monitoring indicators has been a major challenge for network administrative personnel. Monitored indicators in network operations are characterized by multiple instances with high dimensions and fluctuating time-series features and rely on system resource deployment and business environment variations. Hence, there is a growing consensus that conducting anomaly detection with machine intelligence under the operation and maintenance personnel's guidance is more effective than solely using learning and modeling. This paper intends to model the anomaly detection task as a Markov Decision Process and adopts the Double Deep Q-Network algorithm to train an anomaly detection agent, in which the multidimensional temporal convolution network is applied as the principal structure of the Q network and the interactive guidance information from the operation and maintenance personnel is introduced into the procedure to facilitate model convergence. Experimental results on the SMD dataset indicate that the proposed modeling and detection method achieves higher precision and recall rates compared to other learning-based methods. Our method achieves model optimization by using human–computer interactions continuously, which guarantees a faster and more consistent model training procedure and convergence. BNT-6BT-based lead-free ceramics have gained significant attention due to their relatively large piezoelectric coefficients and tunable morphotropic phase boundary conditions. In this investigation, SrTiO 3 (ST) was added to BNT-6BT ceramics to fabricate the BNT-6BT- x ST (BNBT- x ST) composition. The impact of ST content on the phase structure and dielectric permittivity of the BNBT- x ST ceramics was studied. The XRD refinement data show that with increasing ST content, the crystal structure of BNBT- x ST ceramics was transformed from the morphotropic phase structure (coexisting tetragonal (P4/mmm) and pseudo-cubic (Pmm) phase) to the pseudo-cubic phase. The dielectric permittivity data of the BNBT-80ST showed that the T m (the maximum permittivity temperature) moved to −61.9 °C, which caused the room temperature to fall within the range of T m < T < T B (the Burns temperature). This makes the BNBT-80ST a superparaelectric state in relaxor ferroelectrics (RFE). Furthermore, the maximum energy density and the charge-discharge efficiency of the BNBT-80ST achieved 5.48 J/cm3 and 87% at 495 kV/cm, respectively. The energy density of the BNBT-80ST was improved by 2.97-fold and 49% compared with that of the BNBT-30ST and BNBT-70ST. This is mostly attributed to weakened ferroelectricity and improved paraelectricity in the BNBT-80ST. This investigation demonstrates that BNBT- x ST ceramics can be adjusted to a superparaelectric state with an ST content of 80%. We demonstrate similarity-based scaling networks for capacitive radio frequency (RF) plasmas, which extensively correlate discharge characteristics under varied conditions, incorporating the transition from original to similarity states. Based on fully kinetic particle-in-cell simulations, similar RF discharges in argon are demonstrated with three external control parameters (gas pressure, gap distance, and driving frequency) simultaneously tuned. A complete set of scaling pathways regarding fundamental discharge parameters is obtained, from which each plasma state finds its neighboring node with only one control parameter tuned. The results from this study provide a promising strategy for plasma multi-parameter mapping, enabling effective cross-comparisons, prediction, and manipulation of RF discharge plasmas. Background: As the most lethal gynecologic cancer, ovarian cancer (OV) holds the potential of being immunotherapy-responsive. However, only modest therapeutic effects have been achieved by immunotherapies such as immune checkpoint blockade. This study aims to propose a generalized stroma-immune prognostic signature (SIPS) to identify OV patients who may benefit from immunotherapy. Methods: The 2097 OV patients included in the study were significant with high-grade serous ovarian cancer in the III/IV stage. The 470 immune-related signatures were collected and analyzed by the Cox regression and Lasso algorithm to generalize a credible SIPS. Correlations between the SIPS signature and tumor microenvironment were further analyzed. The critical immunosuppressive role of stroma indicated by the SIPS was further validated by targeting the major suppressive stroma component (CAFs, Cancer-associated fibroblasts) in vitro and in vivo. With four machine-learning methods predicting tumor immune subtypes, the stroma-immune signature was upgraded to a 23-gene signature. Results: The SIPS effectively discriminated the high-risk individuals in the training and validating cohorts, where the high SIPS succeeded in predicting worse survival in several immunotherapy cohorts. The SIPS signature was positively correlated with stroma components, especially CAFs and immunosuppressive cells in the tumor microenvironment, indicating the critical suppressive stroma-immune network. The combination of CAFs' marker PDGFRB inhibitors and frontline PARP inhibitors substantially inhibited tumor growth and promoted the survival of OV-bearing mice. The stroma-immune signature was upgraded to a 23-gene signature to improve clinical utility. Several drug types that suppress stroma-immune signatures, such as EGFR inhibitors, could be candidates for potential immunotherapeutic combinations in ovarian cancer. Conclusions: The stroma-immune signature could efficiently predict the immunotherapeutic sensitivity of OV patients. Polar codes have received widespread attention because of their excellent performance. However, although successive cancellation (SC)‐based decoding algorithms have achieved excellent error correction performance, they still encounter large time delays in decoding because a serial decoding structure is employed. At present, a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) is used to judge whether the decoding result of a frame is erroneous. To obtain such a result, the decoder has to wait until the end of decoding. In this work, a judgement strategy for error frames using frozen bits is proposed. With the proposed strategy, the recognition of erroneously decoded frames can be achieved based on the error state of the frozen bits in this frame. Accordingly, early termination of decoding can be realized. By using this mechanism, the strategy can also be applied in the SC List algorithm to prune the path. In addition, the SC Flip decoding algorithm can also use the proposed strategy to help find the first error message bit. The experimental results show that at least 85% of the frames decoded erroneously can be recognized by the proposed strategy so that decoding can be terminated in advance and computational resources can be saved. This study investigated the effect of local structural coupling between the buffer and the superconducting layers on the superconductivity of a GdBa 2 Cu 3 O 7-x (GdBCO)/La 0.7 Sr 0.3 MnO 3 (LSMO) bilayer. Epitaxial bilayers consisting of GdBCO with varying thicknesses (100, 300, and 500 nm), with and without LSMO (100 nm), were fabricated on a (001) SrTiO 3 substrate. To investigate the local structural distortion within the GdBCO/LSMO system, the temperature-dependent extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) spectra were measured at the Mn- and Cu–K absorption edges. The EXAFS analyses revealed local structural non-uniformity, which manifested as anomalies in the temperature dependence of both the Mn–O and Cu–O bond distributions. A strong correlation exists between the local structural distortion of the Mn–O bond and the degree of lattice instability in the CuO 2 plane, which exhibits a strong thickness dependence. The inter-atomic potential of oxygen oscillations with an anharmonic approximation was adopted to interpret the structural anomalies. As a result, a double-well potential was obtained near T c , owing to the occurrence of longer Cu–O bonds in the CuO 2 plane. The difference in the degree of structural anomalies depending on the GdBCO thickness manifested as a difference in the distance between the two wells, which closely correlates with the appearance of a superconducting state. To reduce carbon emissions in the construction industry, more and more researchers have paid attention to engineered bamboo, a natural and green material. This research focused on laminated flattened-bamboo (LFB), a new bamboo composite produced by the advanced non-notched flattened-bamboo technology which can improve the utilization rate of bamboo and reduce production costs by reducing the use of adhesive compared with the gluing process of conventional bamboo laminates. The basic mechanical properties under compression, tension, three-point bending, and shearing of LFB in three orthogonal directions were mainly studied. Experimental results showed that compressive and tensile strength (modulus) along the grain direction were 56.2 MPa (9,542.7 MPa) and 106.9 MPa (10,151.1 MPa), respectively; in the radial direction were 43.1 MPa (580.9 MPa) and 1.8 MPa (1,459.6 MPa), respectively; in the tangential direction were 19.0 MPa (1,124.5 MPa) and 4.3 MPa (5,112.5 MPa), respectively; the mean bending strength (modulus) was 80.8 MPa (8,076.8 MPa), and the shear strength (modulus) was 17.3 MPa (1,878.8 MPa). The measured properties were comparable to that of other structural bio-based materials, showing LFB has the potential to be an alternative to timber in future construction applications. The modulus and Poisson's ratio was analyzed, and the result showed that LFB could be regarded as orthotropic material approximately. The failure types under various loading conditions were summarized. Based on the Ramberg Osgood relation, the stress-strain models of LFB composite under compression, tension, and shearing were proposed, and the characteristic value of ultimate strength and elastic modulus was determined by parametric analysis. Bridge influence lines can reflect the performance status of bridge structures and are an important tool to evaluate high-speed railway bridges. Because a high-speed train can cause large dynamic response on a bridge, it is difficult to identify the static influence line of the bridge. To extract the static bridge influence lines for bridge evaluation, this paper proposes a low-pass filter design method for static influence line identification. By maximizing the difference in bridge static and dynamic energy, the relationship between the frequency domain characteristics of the bridge dynamic response and the filter parameters is established. Based on this relationship, reasonable values of the low-pass filter parameters can be determined. After filtering the dynamic response, the quasi-static response can be effectively obtained, and the bridge static influence line can be identified through the least square regularization method. Finally, a numerical example of the vehicle–bridge interaction model is used to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. The results show that the low-pass filter designed through the proposed principle can accurately remove the dynamic effects, and its stability and robustness are good. With the progress of society and the diversification of transportation modes, people are faced with more and more complicated travel choices, and thus, multi-criteria route choosing optimization problems have drawn increased attention in recent years. A number of multi-criteria traffic network equilibrium problems have been proposed, but most of them do not involve data uncertainty nor computational methods. This paper focuses on the methods for solving robust multi-criteria traffic network equilibrium problems with path capacity constraints. The concepts of the robust vector equilibrium and the robust vector equilibrium with respect to the worst case are introduced, respectively. For the robust vector equilibrium, an equivalent min–max optimization problem is constructed. A direct search algorithm, in which the step size without derivatives and redundant parameters, is proposed for solving this min–max problem. In addition, we construct a smoothing optimization problem based on a variant version of ReLU activation function to compute the robust weak vector equilibrium flows with respect to the worst case and then find robust vector equilibrium flows with respect to the worst case by using the heaviside step function. Finally, extensive numerical examples are given to illustrate the excellence of our algorithms compared with existing algorithms. It is shown that the proposed min–max algorithm may take less time to find the robust vector equilibrium flows and the smoothing method can more effectively generate a subset of the robust vector equilibrium with respect to the worst case. A direct joining of sapphire and Fe–36Ni alloy was successfully realized via femtosecond laser micro-welding for the first time. A sound joint without any voids or microcracks was obtained with a narrow interface width less than 1 μm. There was no obvious element diffusion or metallurgical reactions at the interface. Sapphire and Fe–36Ni alloy were found chemically bonded and mechanically interlocked evidenced by jagged feature at the interface due to "cold" machining of femtosecond laser ablation. The highly localized femtosecond laser irradiation and smaller heat-affected zone contributed to the shear strength of the joint as high as 108.35 MPa. A higher laser scanning speed corresponded with less jagged feature and thermal stress due to the reduced thermal deposition at the interface. Proper micro-welding parameters were obtained for sapphire/Fe–36Ni alloy, and was verified in the direct joining of sapphire/steel and sapphire/silicon. It appears the femtosecond laser micro-welding technique is promising for direct joining of materials with large physical property disparities, and beneficial for manufacturing of optomechanical components at high precision, efficiency and performance. Porous silicate cement membranes (PSCMs) fabricated by the freeze casting method show great potential to be utilized in seawater pretreatment, fermentation broth separation, and industrial wastewater treatment due to its merit of high-temperature resistance, low-cost, and hierarchically ordered porous structures, while the freeze casting method is complex and time-consuming. In this work, a combination of freeze casting and heat-dry curing was initially applied to generate PSCMs. The preparation periods of PSCMs could be shortened by simplifying preparation processes and reducing curing time. The resulting membranes presented double-layer structures, containing a nucleation zone (N-zone) with dense structures and a stability zone (S-zone) with lamellar pore structures. The X-ray diffraction pattern of membranes displayed the mixed hexagonal and rhombohedral structures. This novel method could save more than half of energy consumption compared with the traditional preparation technology of silicate cement samples. The membranes with a mesopore size of 3.794 nm showed high permeation performance with pure water flux reaching 207.23 L m−2 h−1 under 0.15 MPa and room temperature. The separation efficiency of oil-water was 78.05% under operating pressure of 0.05 MPa. Molecular dynamics simulation was applied to narrate the microscopic process of transformation during heat-dry curing, and obtained a good similarity of consequences between the computational method simulation and experimental operation. Background: Lignocellulose-derived aldehyde inhibitors seriously blocked the biorefinery of biofuels and biochemicals. To date, the economic production of lignocellulose-based products heavily relied on high productivities of fermenting strains. However, it was expensive and time-consuming for the achievable rational modification to strengthen stress tolerance robustness of aldehyde inhibitors. Here, it aimed to improve aldehyde inhibitors tolerance and cellulosic bioethanol fermentability for the chassis Zymomonas mobilis ZM4 pretreated using energy-efficient and eco-friendly cold plasma. Results: It was found that bioethanol fermentability was weaker in CSH (corn stover hydrolysates) than that in synthetic medium for Z. mobilis, and thus was attributed to the inhibition of the lignocellulose-derived aldehyde inhibitors in CSH. Convincingly, it further confirmed that the mixed aldehydes severely decreased bioethanol accumulation through additional aldehydes supplementary assays in synthetic medium. After assayed under different processing time (10–30 s), discharge power (80–160 W), and working pressure (120–180 Pa) using cold atmosphere plasma (CAP), it achieved the increased bioethanol fermentability for Z. mobilis after pretreated at the optimized parameters (20 s, 140 W and 165 Pa). It showed that cold plasma brought about three mutation sites including ZMO0694 (E220V), ZMO0843 (L471L) and ZMO0843 (P505H) via Genome resequencing-based SNPs (single nucleotide polymorphisms). A serial of differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were further identified as the potential contributors for stress tolerance via RNA-Seq sequencing, including ZMO0253 and ZMO_RS09265 (type I secretion outer membrane protein), ZMO1941 (Type IV secretory pathway protease TraF-like protein), ZMOr003 and ZMOr006 (16S ribosomal RNA), ZMO0375 and ZMO0374 (levansucrase) and ZMO1705 (thioredoxins). It enriched cellular process, followed by metabolic process and single-organism process for biological process. For KEGG analysis, the mutant was also referred to starch and sucrose metabolism, galactose metabolism and two-component system. Finally, but interestingly, it simultaneously achieved the enhanced stress tolerance capacity of aldehyde inhibitors and bioethanol fermentability in CSH for the mutant Z. mobilis. Conclusions: Of several candidate genetic changes, the mutant Z. mobilis treated with cold plasma was conferred upon the facilitated aldehyde inhibitors tolerance and bioethanol production. Image recognition on deep neural network is vulnerable to adversarial sample attacks. The adversarial attack accuracy is low when only limited queries on the target are allowed with the current black box environment. This paper proposes a target adversarial attack algorithm discrete cosine transform‐mean target feature attack (DTFA) based on the target features and a limited‐area sampling method. The algorithm first examines the original image and a target image to generate an initial adversarial example. Then the disturbance is sampled from the low‐frequency region intercepted by Gaussian noise after discrete cosine transform. The authors determine the size of the disturbance according to the difference between the adversarial example and the original image with consideration of the number of iterations and the position of the target feature region. The disturbance is applied on the initial adversarial example to generate the new adversarial example with the difference from the original image reduced. To evaluate the proposed algorithm, based on the common image classification model InceptionV3, and with identical queries accessing the same target model, the authors conduct experiments to compare the attack effectiveness of DTFA and the benchmark algorithms on the same image and target datasets. Experimental results show that the generated adversarial examples by the proposed algorithm are superior to 94% of those by the similar attack algorithms with less than 10,000 access queries on the target model. Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the most common intestinal malignancy, and nearly 70% of patients with this cancer develop metastatic disease. In the present study, we synthesized a novel compound, termed N-(3-(5,7-dimethylbenzo [d]oxazol-2-yl)phenyl)-5-nitrofuran-2-carboxamide (compound 275#), and found that it exhibits antiproliferative capability in suppressing the proliferation and growth of CRC cell lines. Furthermore, compound 275# triggered caspase 3-mediated intrinsic apoptosis of mitochondria and autophagy initiation. An investigation of the molecular mechanisms demonstrated that compound 275# induced intrinsic apoptosis, and autophagy initiation was largely mediated by increasing the levels of the intracellular accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in CRC cells. Taken together, these data suggest that ROS accumulation after treatment with compound 275# leads to mitochondria-mediated apoptosis and autophagy activation, highlighting the potential of compound 275# as a novel therapeutic agent for the treatment of CRC. To explore the above issues, our study developed an estimation method based on multiple samples for assessing the conservative profitability of a newsboy-type product with exponentially distributed demand. Note that profitability is defined as the maximum probability of achieving a target profit. First, we adopted an achievable capacity index (ACI) with a streamlined form to measure the extent of profitability. The unbiased and efficient estimator of ACI and its statistical properties were also derived. Then, the lower confidence bound of ACI (LCBA) was derived to express the conservative profitability of the newsboy-type product. The LCBA values for various number of groups, sample sizes, confidence levels, and estimates were tabulated. These generic tables can guide the direction of decision-making in some policies. For example, by looking up these tables, the retailers can decide which items are worth selling, and the manufacturers can decide to accept or reject the contract renewal of production orders. Considering the impact of high cost for sampling, the minimum data size requirement meeting an acceptable criterion is also presented. Finally, a real-world example regarding the production order of vacuum molding products was performed to illustrate the practicality of our method. Excitatory amino acid transporter 1 (EAAT1) is a glutamate transporter belonging to the SLC1 family of solute carriers. It plays a key role in the regulation of the extracellular glutamate concentration in the mammalian brain. The structure of EAAT1 was determined in complex with UCPH-101, apotent, non-competitive inhibitor of EAAT1. Alanine serine cysteine transporter 2 (ASCT2) is a neutral amino acid transporter, which regulates pools of amino acids such as glutamine between intracellular and extracellular compartments. ASCT2 also belongs to the SLC1 family and shares 58% sequence similarity with EAAT1. However, allosteric modulation of ASCT2 via non-competitive inhibitors is unknown. Here, we explore the UCPH-101 inhibitory mechanisms of EAAT1 and ASCT2 by using rapid kinetic experiments. Our results show that UCPH-101 slows substrate translocation rather than substrate or Na+ binding, confirming a non-competitive inhibitory mechanism, but only partially inhibits wild-type ASCT2. Guided by computational modeling using ligand docking and molecular dynamics simulations, we selected two residues involved in UCPH-101/EAAT1 interaction, which were mutated in ASCT2 (F136Y, I237M, F136Y/I237M) in the corresponding positions. We show that in the F136Y/I237M double-mutant transporter, 100% of the inhibitory effect of UCPH-101 could be restored, and the apparent affinity was increased (Ki = 4.3 μM), much closer to the EAAT1 value of 0.6 μM. Finally, we identify a novel non-competitive ASCT2 inhibitor, through virtual screening and experimental testing against the allosteric site, further supporting its localization. Together, these data indicate that the mechanism of allosteric modulation is conserved between EAAT1 and ASCT2. Due to the difference in binding site residues between ASCT2 and EAAT1, these results raise the possibility that more potent, and potentially selective ASCT2 allosteric inhibitors can be designed. Postmenopausal women experience several symptoms, including inflammation and a sharp rise in oxidative stress caused by estrogen deprivation. Although estrogen replacement therapy (ERT) is generally regarded as an effective treatment for menopause, it has been used less frequently due to some adverse effects and high costs. Therefore, there is an immediate need to develop an effective herbal-based treatment that is affordable for low-income populations. Acordingly, this study explored the estrogen-like properties of methanol extracts from Cynanchum wilfordii (CW) and Poligonum multiflorum (PM), two important medicinal plants in Republic of Korea, Japan, and China. Due to the similar names and morphologies of these two radixes, they are frequently confused in the marketplace. Our previous colleagues discriminated between these two plants. In this study, we investigated the estrogenic activity of PM and CW using several in vitro assays with their possible mechanism of action. First, their phytochemical contents, such as gallic acid, 2,3,5,4′-tetrahydroxystilbene-2-O-glucoside (TSG) and emodin, were quantified using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Secondly, estrogen-like activity was assessed utilizing the well-known E-screen test and gene expression analysis in estrogen receptor (ER)-positive MCF7 cells. ROS inhibition and anti-inflammatory effects were analyzed using HaCaT and Raw 264.7 cells, respectively. Our findings demonstrate that PM extracts significantly increased the expression of the estrogen-dependent genes (ERα, ERβ, pS2) and boosted MCF7 cell proliferation in comparison to CW extracts. Additionally, PM extract demonstrated a significant reduction in reactive oxygen species (ROS) production as well as an enhanced antioxidant profile compared to the CW extract. Further, the PM extract treatment significantly reduced the generation of nitric oxide (NO) in RAW 264.7 cells, a murine macrophage cell line, demonstrating the anti-inflammatory properties of the extract. In this study, 2-benzyl-10a-(1H-pyrrol-2-yl)-2,3-dihydropyrazino[1,2-a]indole-1,4,10(10aH)-trione (DHPITO), a previously identified inhibitor against hepatocellular carcinoma cells, is shown to exert its cytotoxic effects by suppressing the proliferation and growth of CRC cells. An investigation of its molecular mechanism confirmed that the cytotoxic activity of DHPITO is mediated through the targeting of microtubules with the promotion of subsequent microtubule polymerisation. With its microtubule-stabilising ability, DHPITO also consistently arrested the cell cycle of the CRC cells at the G2/M phase by promoting the phosphorylation of histone 3 and the accumulation of EB1 at the cell equator, reduced the levels of CRC cell migration and invasion, and induced cellular apoptosis. Furthermore, the compound could suppress both tumour size and tumour weight in a CRC xenograft model without any obvious side effects. Taken together, the findings of the present study reveal the antiproliferative and antitumour mechanisms through which DHPITO exerts its activity, indicating its potential as a putative chemotherapeutic agent and lead compound with a novel structure. We leverage the knowledge network representation of the Medical Subject Heading (MeSH) ontology to infer conceptual distances between roughly 30,000 distinct MeSH keywords — each being prescribed to particular knowledge domains — in order to quantify the origins of cross-domain biomedical convergence. Analysis of MeSH co-occurrence networks based upon 21.6 million research articles indexed by PubMed identifies three robust knowledge clusters: micro-level biological entities and structures; meso-level representations of systems, and diseases and diagnostics; and emergent macro-level biological and social phenomena. Analysis of cross-cluster dynamics shows how these domains integrated from the 1990s onward via technological and informatic capabilities — captured by MeSH belonging to the "Technology, Industry, and Agriculture" (J) and "Information Science" (L) branches — representing highly controllable, scalable and permutable research processes and invaluable imaging techniques for illuminating fundamental yet transformative structure–function–behavior questions. Our results indicate that 8.2% of biomedical research from 2000 to 2018 include MeSH terms from both the J and L MeSH branches, representing a 291% increase from 1980s levels. Article-level MeSH analysis further identifies the increasing prominence of cross-domain integration, and confirms a positive relationship between team size and topical diversity. Journal-level analysis reveals variable trends in topical diversity, suggesting that demand and appreciation for convergence science vary by scholarly community. Altogether, we develop a knowledge network framework that identifies the critical role of techno-informatic inputs as convergence bridges — or catalyzers of integration across distinct knowledge domains — as highlighted by the 1990s genomics revolution, and onward in contemporary brain, behavior and health science initiatives. Based on the dissolution and conversion mechanism of lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries, insulating solid short-chain polysulfides (Li 2 S 2 /Li 2 S) will continuously passivate and corrode the active interface of cathode and anode, which seriously affects its performance. Herein, ammonium benzenesulfonate (NH 4 BS) is proposed as a soluble ammonium salt to dissolve Li 2 S in the ether electrolyte, according to the inductive effect of NH 4 + cation and O atom on Li-S bond. This is beneficial to alleviate the interface problem of electrodes and irreversible loss of active materials. Noticeably, soluble Li 2 S regulates its deposition behavior from 2D to 3D, which is conducive to the more effective use of conductive surface. Moreover, the addition of NH 4 BS can increase the dissociation degree of long-chain polysulfides, so that the diffusion rate and reaction kinetics of active substances are improved. Profiting from these functions, the Li-S cells with NH 4 BS act out excellent cyclic stability in the long cycle of 0.5 C and 2 C. Under the extreme conditions of high sulfur loading and low electrolyte-sulfur ratio, the cells with NH 4 BS can cycle stably for 196 cycles, which significantly prolongs the battery life. The successive cancellation flip (SC Flip) decoding algorithm was recently suggested for decoding polar codes, which could improve the performance of the frame error rate (FER). The performance of the SC Flip (SCF) decoding algorithm is strong, and its computational complexity tends to be the same as that of the SC decoder at medium to high signal‐to‐noise ratios (SNRs). However, the decoding latency of the SCF decoding algorithm is large. In this paper, a new method for detecting whether or not the flipped bit is correct is proposed. The proposed method makes a decision according to the changing log likelihood ratio (LLR) value caused by the flipped bit to ensure that the decoding process can be terminated in advance and the decoding latency is reduced. The simulation results show that the proposed Latency‐Reduced SCF decoding algorithm can decrease computational complexity and decoding latency, while also achieving similar decoding performance compared to its counterpart. School engagement has assumed an important place in current developmental psychology and educational research due to its potential to address students' low achievement, high dropout rates, and misbehavior. Although much has been written about the antecedents and outcomes of student engagement, literature on how students' level of engagement differs in response to different teaching styles was missing on a large scale. Understanding the patterns and risks linked with student engagement provides opportunities for targeted intervention. This study explored primary school students' engagement and burnout profiles and how different profiles interacted with perceived classroom teaching styles (i.e., autonomy-supportive & autonomy suppressive). Latent profile analysis resulted in four student engagement subgroups: moderately engaged, engaged, moderately burned out, and burned out. Students clustered into engagement groups were likely to report higher autonomy support from teachers. In contrast, burned-out groups were more likely to rate teachers' teaching styles as suppressive (i.e., autonomy suppressive). Collectively, the study indicated that autonomy-supportive teaching behaviors are pivotal in understanding student engagement and school burnout. Thus, tailored teacher-focused intervention programs that enhance teachers' awareness of autonomy-supportive teaching is important. Purpose: Although social networking services (SNSs) have attracted billions of people to maintain and extend their social relationships online, more and more passive usage behaviors have been found during the daily SNS usage. The aim of this paper is to investigate how SNS users' continuance intention is affected by passive SNS use, subjective well-being, as well as perceived concern regarding privacy and impression management. Methods: A research model was developed according to the proposed hypotheses, and then partial least square (PLS) SEM was adopted to empirically assess the valid data collected from 389 WeChat users. Results: The findings show that passive SNS use cannot significantly undermine continuance intention, but it has a negative moderating effect on the relationship between subjective well-being and continuance intention. Besides, the results of empirical research also reveal the antecedents of passive SNS use and subjective well-being from the perspectives of privacy concern and impression management concern, and thereby present the mechanism underlying users' continuance intention. Conclusion: This study enriches the SNS literature by indicating the moderating role of passive SNS use in the process of SNS usage, which facilitates the understanding regarding how users' continuance intention can be influenced when they use SNSs passively. This study can help SNS providers to better understand the factors affecting users' continuance intention in the case of passive SNS use, and then formulating effective strategies for retaining users and avoiding passive usage behaviors. Background: The transmission and fatal risk of severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS), an emerging infectious disease first discovered in China in 2009, still needed further quantification. This research aimed to analyze the SFTS clusters and assess the transmission and mortality risk for SFTS. Methods: Both epidemiological investigation and case reports regarding SFTS clusters in China during 2011–2021 were obtained from the Public Health Emergency Information Management System of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention Information System. The transmission risk was evaluated by using the secondary attack rate (SAR) and relative risk (RR). Mortality risk factors were analyzed using a logistic regression model. Results: There were 35 SFTS clusters during 2011–2021 involving 118 patients with a fatality rate of 22.0%. The number of clusters annually increased seasonally from April to September. The clusters mainly occurred in Anhui (16 clusters) and Shandong provinces (8 clusters). The SAR through contact with blood or bloody fluids was much higher than that through contact with non-bloody fluids (50.6% vs 3.0%; χ2 = 210.97, P < 0.05), with an RR of 16.61 [95% confidence interval (CI): 10.23–26.97]. There was a statistically significant difference in the SAR between exposure to the blood of a deceased person during burial preparation and exposure to the living patients' blood (66.7% vs 34.5%; χ2 = 6.40, P < 0.05), with an RR of 1.93 (95% CI: 1.11–3.37). The mortality risk factors were a long interval from onset to diagnosis [odds ratio (OR) = 1.385), 95% CI: 1.083–1.772, P = 0.009) and advanced age (OR: 1.095, 95% CI: 1.031–1.163, P = 0.01). Conclusions: The SFTS clusters showed a high mortality rate and resulted in a high SAR. Contact with a bleeding corpse was associated with a higher infection risk, compared with contacting the blood from living patients. It is important to promote early detection and appropriate case management of patients with SFTS, as well as improved handling of their corpses, to prevent further transmission and mortality. Similar to the canonical antiferroelectric (AFE) compound PbZrO3 in Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 solid‐solutions, the presence of double hysteresis loops and that of electric field–induced phase transitions are important characteristics of NaNbO3 AFE materials; yet the phase transition behavior in the latter system is typically irreversible with the related mechanisms not fully understood. Here, we explore the phase transition mechanism of ferroelectric and AFE phases in NaNbO3 based on measurements of single crystals with different directions in conjunction with density‐functional theory (DFT) calculations. The tilting and distortion behaviors of the [NbO6] octahedra are explained by DFT, and the ion displacement in the lattice is traced. The tilting and distortion behaviors of the [NbO6] octahedra with different orientations are compared. We confirm that the tilt and distortion of the [NbO6] octahedra along the [1 1 1] direction is the main reason to improve the stability of AFE phase. This conclusion is verified by the experimental characterizations of large‐size NaNbO3 single crystals successfully obtained in this study. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
