Full-waveform inversion is an important and widely used method to reconstruct subsurface velocity images. Waveform inversion is a typical nonlinear and ill-posed inverse problem. Existing physics-driven computational methods for solving waveform inversion suffer from the cycle-skipping and local-minima issues, and do not mention that solving waveform inversion is computationally expensive. In recent years, data-driven methods become a promising way to solve the waveform-inversion problem. However, most deep-learning frameworks suffer from the generalization and overfitting issue. In this article, we developed a real-time data-driven technique and we call it VelocityGAN, to reconstruct accurately the subsurface velocities. Our VelocityGAN is built on a generative adversarial network (GAN) and trained end to end to learn a mapping function from the raw seismic waveform data to the velocity image. Different from other encoder–decoder-based data-driven seismic waveform-inversion approaches, our VelocityGAN learns regularization from data and further imposes the regularization to the generator so that inversion accuracy is improved. We further develop a transfer-learning strategy based on VelocityGAN to alleviate the generalization issue. A series of experiments is conducted on the synthetic seismic reflection data to evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency, and generalization of VelocityGAN. We not only compare it with the existing physics-driven approaches and data-driven frameworks but also conduct several transfer-learning experiments. A numerical multiscale model is used to resolve the high computation complexity in the ac loss calculation of large-scale superconducting devices and proves advantageous with regard to time and memory requirements. In the multiscale model, the background field estimation method is of crucial importance to the calculation accuracy. In this paper, we propose four new background field estimation methods, including the Jacobi Gauss–Seidel hybrid and iteration methods, to improve the accuracy and expand the application scope of the multiscale model. A high temperature superconducting solenoid magnet is used to test the performance of these four methods and the results are compared with those of the H-formulation reference model and the multiscale model with a J0 uniform background field estimation method. Results show that in the 19 A/50 Hz ac transport current test case: the Jacobi Gauss– hybrid and iteration methods reduce the error of the ac loss mean value/peak value to 7.88%/5.89%, 5.71%/2.4%, 3.22%/1.22%, and 1.83%/0.69% with the total time cost reduced by 15.7, 8.9, 13.5, and 7.8 times. The multiscale model is expected to achieve even higher accuracy in applications where the ac loss is relatively small due to its coincidence property. The greatly improved accuracy makes the multiscale model a reliable substitute for the H-formulation model. In addition, the idea of iteration and back substitution in background field correction widely expands the application scope of the multiscale model. Alternative background field estimation methods allow the multiscale model to be applied flexibly according to the requirement of the calculation speed and accuracy. The feature of small degrees of freedom resolves the high computation complexity of the ac loss calculation model and reduces the memory requirement. The calculation of ac loss is an essential part in the thermal stability estimation of the high-temperature superconductor (HTS) superconducting magnetic energy storage system (SMES). In this paper, we propose an artificial neural network (ANN) prediction model to calculate the ac loss in real-time and apply the ANN prediction model to a 150 kJ self-made HTS SMES. The ANN prediction model is composed of a multi-scale model and an ANN. An ac loss data set calculated with the multi-scale model is used to train the ANN, and a validation data set is used to test the accuracy of the ANN after training. By comparing with the homogenization model, we find that the multi-scale model is reliable when used for ac loss calculation and suitable for building ac loss data set due to its high calculation speed. The ANN prediction model is verified to be reliable for fast estimation of the ac loss, and its accuracy improves as the scale of the training data set increases. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper, we report a simple polypeptide-directed strategy for fabricating large spherical assembly of CaCO3 nanoparticles. Stepwise growth and assembly of a large number of nanoparticles have been observed, from the formation of an amorphous liquidlike CaCO3-polypeptide precursor, to the crystallization and stabilization of polypeptide-capped nanoparticles, and eventually, the spherical assembly of nanoparticles. The "soft" poly(aspartate)-capping layer binding on a nanoparticle surface resulted in the unusual soft nature of nanoparticle assembly, providing a reservoir of primary nanoparticles with a moderate mobility, which is the basis of a new strategy for reconstructing nanoparticle assembly into complex nanoparticle architectures. Moreover, the findings of the secondary assembly of nanoparticle microspheres and the morphology transformation of nanoparticle assembly demonstrate a flexible and controllable pathway for manipulating the shapes and structures of nanoparticle assembly. In addition, the combination of the polypeptide with a double hydrophilic block copolymer (DHBC) allows it to possibly further control the shape and complexity of the nanoparticle assembly. A clear perspective is shown here that more complex nanoparticle materials could be created by using "soft" biological proteins or peptides as a mediating template at the organic−inorganic interface. High-precision Time-Frequency Rack (HTFR) mission, a part of experiment module II of the China Space Station (CSS), was equipped with a Sr optical clock, H-maser, and laser-cooled microwave clock. To compare time and frequency across widely separated clocks, a microwave link, and a pulsed laser link were both established, which probably enables new possibilities for fundamental science, geodesy, and metrology. Based on the existing relativistic theory for time and frequency transfer, we derive a relativistic model of satellite-ground laser time transfer on CSS (CLT), which can be of direct use in CLT data processing. In addition to first and second-order Sagnac effects, it also includes relativistic rate shifts, atmospheric refraction, and turbulence, laser retroreflector array (LRA) range correction, and position correction between detector and reflector, satisfying the stability evaluation of CSS atomic clocks with fractional frequency stability of 3 × 10−17/10000 s. Additionally, we numerically investigate the link error magnitude and use Monte Carlo simulations to assess the impact of correcting for link errors on the stability of the CLT, taking into account the CSS orbit and attitude determinations as well as the CLT payload calibration parameters. It is shown that the CLT link can be considered to reach a TDEV of approximately 0.1 ps/300 s while meeting the CSS design objectives. The primary factors that influence the stability of the CLT are the position correction between detector and reflector, LRA range correction, and the coupling relation of these two error distributions. The mission of Chinese Space station is underway in China and the different type of clock systems will be carried and high stability and accuracy of time transfer is demanded. Laser Time Transfer (LTT) will be implemented between ground and Space Station and the LTT payload is being developed by Shanghai Astronomical Observatory (SHAO) with the time comparison single shot precision of 60ps, stability of less than 1ps @ 300s, and 1ps @ 1day. This paper will introduce the progress of LTT payload, including the design of the detector and timer, the optical design, testing results of the system stability and the future developments of this project. Osteoarthritis (OA), characterized by the degeneration of articular cartilage, is a major problem in aging populations, and cartilage chondrocytes have been indicated to serve a curial role in the progression of OA. MicroRNA-200b-3p (miR-200b) was preliminarily identified to participate in OA. However, its role and mechanism of action in injured chondrocytes in OA remain unclear to date. In the present study, lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-treated cells isolated from normal knee articular cartilage were used to mimic inflammatory injury of OA chondrocytes. Cell viability, apoptosis and inflammatory responses were detected using Cell Counting Kit-8, flow cytometry and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, respectively. The expression levels of miR-200b and fucosyltransferase-4 (FUT4) were measured by reverse transcription-quantitative PCR and western blotting. The association between miR-200b and FUT4 was verified using TargetScan software, dual-luciferase reporter assay and RNA immunoprecipitation. The results indicated that LPS treatment decreased cell viability of primary chondrocytes, and increased apoptosis rate and production of IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α. The expression level of miR-200b was downregulated, and that of FUT4 was upregulated in OA cartilage tissues and LPS-treated normal chondrocytes compared with normal cartilage tissues and chondrocytes. Overexpression of miR-200b via transfection with miR-200b mimic inhibited the apoptosis rate and reduced the levels of IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α in LPS-stimulated chondrocytes. However, the suppressive effect of miR-200b overexpression on the LPS-induced inflammatory injury in chondrocytes was reversed by the restoration of FUT4 levels. Notably, FUT4 was indicated to be a downstream target of miR-200b and was negatively regulated by miR-200b. Taken together, the results of the current study indicated that miR-200b protected chondrocytes from LPS-induced inflammatory injury in vitro by targeting FUT4. These findings revealed the miR-200b/FUT4 axis as a potential candidate to target the degeneration of cartilages, thereby inhibiting the progression of OA. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The discovery of color-controlled fiber holds profound importance for the development of flexible wearable devices and soft display equipment. In this study, a kind of electrically triggered chameleon fiber (ETF) was fabricated. Liquid metal was used as the conductive core structure, and red, blue and yellow thermochromic pigments were mixed into a polyacrylonitrile solution with dimethyl sulfoxide as solvent to form the thermochromic matrix shell structure. By coaxial wet spinning, reversible, ETF with a core-shell structure was prepared. We utilized joule heating to drive the thermochromic pigments change the conjugate plating by adjusting the color. ETF has therefore ideal electrochromism properties. This smart fiber appearing as a dark purple fiber at room temperature and can change color when the current is adjusted. The color expressive of ETFs changed from dark purple (0.2 A) to green (0.6 A), then to yellow (1 A), and finally to white (1.2 A). When the current was turned off, the fibers were able to return to their original color due to the conjugated structure transformation of the three thermochromic pigments. Moreover, ETFs demonstrated good thermal stability, tolerating temperatures of up to 200 ℃. Methylation of the O6-methylguanine methyltransferase (MGMT) gene promoter is correlated with the effectiveness of the current standard of care in glioblastoma patients. In this study, a deep learning pipeline is designed for automatic prediction of MGMT status in 87 glioblastoma patients with contrast-enhanced T1W images and 66 with fluid-attenuated inversion recovery(FLAIR) images. The end-to-end pipeline completes both tumor segmentation and status classification. The better tumor segmentation performance comes from FLAIR images (Dice score, 0.897 ± 0.007) compared to contrast-enhanced T1WI (Dice score, 0.828 ± 0.108), and the better status prediction is also from the FLAIR images (accuracy, 0.827 ± 0.056 ; recall, 0.852 ± 0.080 ; precision, 0.821 ± 0.022 ; and F 1 score, 0.836 ± 0.072). This proposed pipeline not only saves the time in tumor annotation and avoids interrater variability in glioma segmentation but also achieves good prediction of MGMT methylation status. Abstract The strength and plasticity of 2219 aluminium alloy tungsten inert gas (TIG)-welded joints are inconsistent, which can compromise the safety of products. Both numerical simulation and experimental methods are used to study why the mechanical properties show a significant variation among 2219 aluminium alloy TIG-welded joints; the reasons can be summarized as involving geometric factors and metallurgical factors. Changes in the front weld width, the penetration depth of the capping weld, and other geometric parameters can have different effects on joints' mechanical properties. Three types of metallurgical factors can negatively affect joints' mechanical properties: i) unfavourable eutectic structure (the presence of coarsened eutectic particles and a thickened grain boundary eutectic structure in the crack initiation region of C10S+C10S welded joints; and the appearance of a continuously elongated eutectic structure close to the fusion line near the crack initiation region of C10S+CYS-welded joints); ii) significant segregation in the weld zone (WZ); and iii) decreased microhardness values in the partially melted zone (PMZ) and in the WZ. Two methods can be adopted to improve the joints' mechanical properties: i) The shapes of the welded joints can be optimized by adjusting the welding process parameters. One example is decreasing the penetration depth of the capping weld by decreasing the welding current and gas flow rate during the second pass. ii) The degree of segregation in the WZ and PMZ can be reduced by properly adjusting the welding heat input and wire feeding speed. Superconducting fault current limiters (SFCLs) are considered as one of the most promising technologies to limit fault current levels, as they can suppress fault currents without adding impedance to the circuit during normal operation. In this paper, a flux-coupling-type SFCL (FC-SFCL) based on disconnecting coupling windings for current reduction is considered as a potential scheme to limit fault currents due to its low steady impedance before a fault and higher current-limiting impedance after a fault. Three types of winding methods of the FC-SFCL are introduced and the main parameters are discussed, along with the voltage distribution of the coils. Based on these, the optimal winding structure is determined, a small-scale test prototype is designed and fabricated, and a series of experimental tests is conducted. From the demonstrated experimental results, the FC-SFCL prototype is able to effectively suppress the fault current’s steady value to a lower level, and it has good performance in terms of current reduction. The Time Transfer by Laser Link (T2L2) project allows for the synchronization of remote ultrastable clocks over intercontinental distances. The principle is derived from the satellite laser ranging technology with a dedicated space equipment designed to record arrival times of laser pulses at the satellite. The space segment was launched in 2008 as a passenger instrument on the ocean altimetry satellite Jason 2. For the first time, we have conducted by the end of 2016 a dedicated time transfer comparison campaign between Global Positioning System and T2L2 over intercontinental distances. The campaign was carried out between two laboratories in Europe and two in China. The campaign has demonstrated a consistency of the time transfer techniques at the 1-ns level, together with the confirmation of a subnanosecond level for continental distances. Abstract: The nucleus accumbens (NAc), an important target of deep brain stimulation for some neuropsychiatric disorders, is thought to be involved in epileptogenesis, especially the shell portion. However, little is known about the exact parcellation within the NAc, and its structural abnormalities or connections alterations of each NAc subdivision in temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) patients. Here, we used diffusion probabilistic tractography to subdivide the NAc into core and shell portions in individual TLE patients to guide stereotactic localization of NAc shell. The structural and connection abnormalities in each NAc subdivision in the groups were then estimated. We successfully segmented the NAc in 24 of 25 controls, 14 of 16 left TLE patients, and 14 of 18 right TLE patients. Both left and right TLE patients exhibited significantly decreased fractional anisotropy (FA) and increased radial diffusivity (RD) in the shell, while there was no significant alteration in the core. Moreover, relatively distinct structural connectivity of each NAc subdivision was demonstrated. More extensive connection abnormalities were detected in the NAc shell in TLE patients. Our results indicate that neuronal degeneration and damage caused by seizure mainly exists in NAc shell and provide anatomical evidence to support the role of NAc shell in epileptogenesis. Remarkably, those NAc shell tracts with increased connectivities in TLE patients were found decreased in FA, which indicates disruption of fiber integrity. This finding suggests the regeneration of aberrant connections, a compensatory and repair process ascribed to recurrent seizures that constitutes part of the characteristic changes in the epileptic network. The MJ-class superconducting magnetic energy storage system (SMES) is most likely put into commercial utility applications. In China, several 1–100-MJ-class high-temperature superconducting (HTS) SMES projects are undergoing preresearch and conceptual design stage by the government and the power grid corporations, and these SMESs will be developed later. The configurations of commonly used SMES magnets are single-solenoid, multiple-solenoid, and toroidal magnets. Each configuration has its own electromagnetic and mechanical characteristics. In this paper, an optimal design and comparison were carried out to explore the suitable configuration for the MJ-class SMES magnet. As the critical current of the conductor is strongly influenced by the magnetic field and its applied direction, optimization of the HTS coil's configuration is required to minimize the length of the HTS wire. The optimization was conducted with the genetic algorithm and the finite-element method. In order to find the dependence of energy storage capacity on the wire cost, the magnet schemes of seven energy requirements were investigated. An optimal design is performed for the seven stored energies with the three types of magnet configurations. The comparisons between single-solenoid, four-solenoid, and toroidal coils are presented. In the latest design studies of superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES) systems, the emphasis was put on the electromagnetic design of SMES magnets without giving due attention to the electrical design with a view to eliminating the overvoltage problem. The power conditioning system (PCS) interfaces with the superconducting magnet and the ac system through an electrical connection. With a pulse-width modulation converter usually adopted in the PCS, the high-frequency overvoltage problem is even more serious. Therefore, electrical design based on voltage distribution analysis and protection measures should be taken into account during the SMES design. This paper first gives transient models of PCS, SMES, and the connecting cable in a systematic view. Later on, a design flow path containing both the electromagnetic design and the electrical design is presented. Fluorescent test papers are promising for the wide applications in the assays of diagnosis, environments and foods, but unlike classical dye-absorption-based pH test paper, they are usually limited in the qualitative yes/no type of detection by fluorescent brightness, and the colorimetry-based quantification remains a challenging task. Here, we report a single dual-emissive nanofluorophore probe to achieve the consecutive color variations from blue to red for the quantification of blood glucose on its as-prepared test papers. Red quantum dots were embedded into silica nanoparticles as a stable internal standard emission, and blue carbon dots (CDs) were further covalently linked onto the surface of silica, in which the ratiometric fluorescence intensity of blue to red is controlled at 5:1. While the oxidation of glucose induced the formation of Fe 3+ ions, the blue emission of CDs was thus quenched by the electron transfer from CDs to Fe 3+ , displaying a serial of consecutive color variations from blue to red with the dosage of glucose. The high-quality test papers printed by the probe ink exhibited a dosage-sensitive allochromatic capability with the clear differentiations of ~5, 7, 9, 11 mM glucose in human serum (normal: 3–8 mM). The blood glucose determined by the test paper was almost in accordance with that measured by a standard glucometer. In Parkinson's disease (PD), iron elevation in specific brain regions as well as selective loss of dopaminergic neurons is a major pathologic feature. A reliable quantitative measure of iron deposition is a potential biomarker for PD and may contribute to the investigation of iron-mediated PD. The primary purpose of this study is to assess iron variations in multiple deep grey matter nuclei in early PD with a novel MRI technique, quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM). The inter-group differences of susceptibility and R2* value in deep grey matter nuclei, namely head of caudate nucleus (CN), putamen (PUT), global pallidus (GP), substantia nigra (SN), and red nucleus (RN), and the correlations between regional iron deposition and the clinical features were explored in forty-four early PD patients and 35 gender and age-matched healthy controls. Susceptibility values were found to be elevated within bilateral SN and RN contralateral to the most affected limb in early PD compared with healthy controls (HCs). The finding of increased susceptibility in bilateral SN is consistent with work on a subgroup of patients at the earliest clinical detectable state (Hoehn and Yahr [1967]: Neurology 17:427-442; Stage I). However, increased R2* values were only seen within SN contralateral to the most affected limb in the PD group when compared with controls. Furthermore, bilateral SN magnetic susceptibility positively correlated with disease duration and UPDRS-III scores in early PD. The development of novel sodium-ion batteries has been hindered by the lack of ideal anode materials. Herein, we report both experimental and theoretical assessment of layered MoSe 2 nanoplates as the anode materials. The MoSe 2 nanoplates are successfully synthesized by a facile thermal-decomposition process. As the anode, the MoSe 2 nanoplates are capable of delivering the initial discharge and charge capacities of 513 and 440 mAh g −1 at the current of 0.1C in a voltage of 0.1–3 V, respectively. The analysis of Ex-situ XRD patterns reveals that there is no slippage between layers and the change of coordination of molybdenum when the MoSe 2 electrode is discharged to 0.6 V and conversion reactions during the following discharge/charge process are also demonstrated. In addition, the electronic structure, Na ions transport and conductivity are investigated by first-principles calculation. A quasi-2D energy favorable trajectory is proposed to illustrate the sodium ion vacancy-hopping migration mechanism form octahedron to tetrahedron in MoSe 2 lattice. Gliomas grading is important for treatment plan; we aimed to investigate the application of intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) in gliomas grading, by comparing with the three-dimensional pseudocontinuous arterial spin labeling (3D pCASL). 24 patients (13 high grade gliomas and 11 low grade gliomas) underwent IVIM DWI and 3D pCASL imaging before operation; maps of fast diffusion coefficient (D∗), slow diffusion coefficient (D), fractional perfusion-related volume (f), and apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) as well as cerebral blood flow (CBF) were calculated and then coregistered to generate the corresponding parameter values. We found CBF and D∗ were higher in the high grade gliomas, whereas ADC, D, and f were lower (all P<0.05). In differentiating the high from low grade gliomas, the maximum areas under the curves (AUC) of D∗, CBF, and ADC were 0.857, 0.85, and 0.902, respectively. CBF was negatively correlated with f in tumor (r=-0.619, P=0.001). ADC was positively correlated with D in both tumor and white matter (r=0.887, P=0.000 and r=0.824, P=0.000, resp.). There was no correlation between CBF and D∗ in both tumor and white matter (P>0.05). IVIM DWI showed more efficiency than 3D pCASL but less validity than conventional DWI in differentiating the high from low grade gliomas. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article reports on the April 8, 2012 end of the Environmental Satellite (Envisat) mission. A discussion of range measurements to the satellite that allowed determination of the attitude and the spin period of Envisat during seven months of 2013 which were performed by Satellite Laser Ranging (SLR) stations, and found the spin axis of the satellite is 2.52 meters and causes the meter-scale oscillations of the range measurements between the ground SLR system and the satellite, is presented.

Abstract: Trace penicilloic acid allergen frequently leads to various fatal immune responses to many patients, but it is still a challenge to directly discriminate and detect its residue in penicillin by a chemosensing way. Here, we report that silver-coated gold nanoparticles (Au@Ag NPs) exhibit a structure-selective hot-spot Raman enhancement capability for direct identification and detection of trace penicilloic acid in penicillin. It has been demonstrated that penicilloic acid can very easily link Au@Ag NPs together by its two carboxyl groups, locating itself spontaneously at the interparticle of Au@Ag NPs to form strong Raman hot-spot. At the critical concentration inducing the nanoparticle aggregation, Raman-enhanced effect of penicilloic acid is ~60,000 folds higher than that of penicillin. In particular, the selective Raman enhancement to the two carboxyl groups makes the peak of carboxyl group at C6 of penicilloic acid appear as a new Raman signal due to the opening of β-lactam ring of penicillin. The surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) nanoparticle sensor reaches a sensitive limit lower than the prescribed 1.0‰ penicilloic acid residue in penicillin. Abstract: High-precision time synchronization between satellites and ground stations plays the vital role in satellite navigation system. Laser time transfer (LTT) technology is widely recognized as the highest accuracy way to achieve time synchronization derived from satellite laser ranging (SLR) technology. Onboard LTT payload has been designed and developed by Shanghai Astronomical Observatory, and successfully applied to Chinese Beidou navigation satellites. By using the SLR system, with strictly controlling laser firing time and developing LTT data processing system on ground, the high precise onboard laser time transfer experiment has been first performed for satellite navigation system in the world. The clock difference and relative frequency difference between the ground hydrogen maser and space rubidium clocks have been obtained, with the precision of approximately 300ps and relative frequency stability of 10E−14. This article describes the development of onboard LTT payload, introduces the principle, system composition, applications and LTT measuring results for Chinese satellite navigation system. Abstract: A low-cost, green, and reproducibly non-injection one-pot synthesis of high-quality CdS quantum dots (QDs) is reported. The synthesis was performed in the open air by mixing precursors cadmium stearate and S powder into a new solvent N-oleoylmorpholine. An overlapped nucleation-growth stage followed by a dominated growth stage was observed. The resulting QDs exhibited well-resolved absorption fine substructure and a dominant band-edge emission with a narrow size distribution (the full width at half maximum (fwhm) was only 22–24nm). The maximum photoluminescence (PL) quantum yield (QY) was as high as 46.5%. Highly monodispersed CdS QDs with tunable sizes and similar PL fwhm and QYs could also be obtained from the CdS QDs in a large-scale synthesis. The high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) images and powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern suggested that the as-prepared QDs with high crystallinity had a cubic structure. A significant PL improvement and a continuous QY increase for the CdS QDs were observed during a long storage time in air and in a glovebox under room temperature. A slow surface reconstruction was proposed to be the cause for the PL enhancement of CdS QDs. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

Recent advancements in super-resolution nanoscopy allowed the study of mitochondrial biology at nanoscale and boosted the understanding its correlated cellular processes those were previously poorly understood. Nevertheless, studying mitochondrial ultrastructure remains a challenge due to the lack of probes that could target specific mitochondrial substances (e.g. cristae or mtDNA) and survive under harsh super-resolution optical conditions. Herein, in this work, we have rationally constructed a pyridine-BODIPY (Py-BODIPY) derivative that could target mitochondrial membrane in living cells without interfering its physiological microenvironments. Furthermore, we found Py-BODIPY is a membrane potential independent probe, hence it is not limit to live-cell staining but also showed a strong internalization into pre-fixed and stimulus disrupted sample. Importantly, its cristae specificity and superb photostability allow the observation of mitochondrial dynamic nano-structures with an unprecedented resolution, allow demonstrating how mitochondrial 3D ultrastructure evolved under oxidative phosphorylation condition. • Py-BODIPY is a ΔΨm independent mitochondrial probe. • Py-BODIPY showed superb photostability and increased cristae resolution. • Py-BODIPY revealed mitochondrial 3D dynamics at nanoscale. Nonwoven fiber materials are materials with multifunctional purposes, and are widely used to make masks for preventing the new Coronavirus Disease 2019. Because of the complexity and particularity of their structure, it becomes difficult to model the penetration and flow characteristics of liquid in nonwoven fiber materials. In this paper, a novel seepage time soft sensor model of nonwoven fabric, based on Monte Carlo (MC), integrating extreme learning machine (ELM) (MCELM) is proposed. The Monte Carlo method is used to expand data samples. Then, an ELM method is used to establish the prediction model of the dyeing time of the nonwoven fiber material overlaps with the porous medium, as well as the insertion degree and height of the different quantity of hides. Compared with the back propagation (BP) neural network and radial basis function (RBF) neural network, the results show that the prediction model based on the MCELM method has significant power in terms of accuracy and prediction speed, which is conducive to the precise and rapid manufacture of nonwoven fiber materials in practical applications between liquid seepage characteristics and structural characteristics of porous media. Furthermore, the relationship between the proposed models has certain value for predicting the behavior and use of nonwoven fiber materials with different structural characteristics and related research processes. Lipid droplets (LDs) ultrastructure progression under proteohormone stimulation provide valuable clues for understanding conditions associated with obesity and diabetes. Current available LDs probes either alter intra-LDs environments or lack photo-resistance; thus, this research domain is poorly understood. In this work, a N–B–O type BODIPY- hexylcarbazole derivative named BoCz-Lip was rationally designed while achieving specific LDs live-cell targeting. BoCz-Lip showed minimal impact on cell viability as well as internal LDs' protein, triglyceride and cholesterol level. Along with its good photostability, it can be used to monitor LDs evolution under super-resolution nanoscopy. Laser time transfer is of great significance in timing and global time synchronization. However, the temperature drift may occur and affect the delay of the electronics system, optic generation and detection system. This paper proposes a post-processing method for the compensation of temperature-induced system delay, which does not require any changes to the hardware setup. The temperature drift and time stability of the whole system are compared with and without compensation. The results show that the propagation delay drift as high as 240 ps caused by temperature changes is compensated. The temperature drift coefficient was diminished down to ~0.05 ps/°C from ~20.0 ps/°C. The system precision was promoted to ~2 ps from ~11 ps over a time period of 80,000 s. This method performs significant compensation of single-photon laser time transfer system propagation drift and will help to establish an ultra-stable laser time transfer link in space applications. Since the first discovery of luminescent graphene oxide (GO), exponentially increasing investigations on the tunable structures and surfaces for modulating its optical properties have struggled to expand applications in imaging, sensing, biomedical diagnostics, and so on. Here, the latest works on reconstructing or modifying the structures and surfaces of GO to achieve diverse luminescence are systematically reviewed, including fluorescence, electroluminescence, and chemiluminescence. Moreover, the fundamental difficulties of the investigations and applications of luminescent GO nanomaterials are clarified to inspire more constructive thoughts for expanding their application boundaries. The mission of Tiangong2 is the China's second manned space laboratory for further verifying the space rendezvous and docking technology and a series of space tests. The Laser Retro-reflector Array (LRA) for Satellite Laser Ranging (SLR) is designed to evaluate the precision of orbit determination and the global SLR measurements are performed under the support of ILRS with the coordination of SHAO and CSU and lots of laser data are obtained and used for centimeters-level precise orbit determination. Additionally, Laser Radar Retro-reflector Array (LRRA) is also designed for space rendezvous and docking mission. Because of its large size, the SLR station will receive echoes from the both arrays. The effective reflection area calculation model of LRA relative to ground station is established, and the influence of LRRA on the observation of LRA is also analyzed in this presentation. Multi-center studies are advantageous for enrolling participants of varying pathological and demographical conditions, and especially in neurological studies. Hence stability of the obtained quantitative R2* and susceptibility in multicenter studies is a key issue for their widespread applications. In this work, the stabilities of simultaneously obtained R2* and susceptibility are investigated and compared across 10 sites that are equipped with the same scanner and receiver coil, the same post-processing process was used to achieve consistent experiment setup. Two healthy adult volunteers (one male and female) participated in this study. High intraclass correlation coefficient was obtained for both susceptibility (0.94) and R2* (0.96). The coefficients of variance for all measurements obtained were smaller than 0.1, the largest variations of measurements in all the chosen ROIs fall within ±20% from the median value. Higher level of stability was obtained in R2* as compared to susceptibility at 1 mm resolution (P < 0.05) and at 1.5 mm (P < 0.01). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
