Abstract

Spin-valley locking in the band structure of monolayers of MoS$_2$ and other group-VI dichalcogenides has attracted enormous interest, since it offers potential for valleytronic and optoelectronic applications. Such an exotic electronic state has sparsely been seen in bulk materials. Here, we report spin-valley locking in a bulk Dirac semimetal BaMnSb$_2$. We find valley and spin are inherently coupled for both valence and conduction bands in this material. This is revealed by comprehensive studies using first principle calculations, tight-binding and effective model analyses, angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy and quantum transport measurements. Moreover, this material also exhibits a stacked quantum Hall effect. The spin-valley degeneracy extracted from the plateau height of quantized Hall resistivity is close to 2. This result, together with the observed Landau level spin splitting, further confirms the spin-valley locking picture. In the extreme quantum limit, we have also observed a two-dimensional chiral metal at the side surface, which represents a novel topological quantum liquid. These findings establish BaMnSb$_2$ as a rare platform for exploring coupled spin and valley physics in bulk single crystals and accessing 3D interacting topological states., Comment: Updated acknowledgement

2. A New Attention-based Neural Network for The Identification of Non-line-of-sight Signals in Data from Global Navigation Satellite Systems.

Abstract

Modern satellite positioning primarily uses global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signals collected by multiple satellites and obtains specific location information through calculations. However, the nonlinear propagation of the signal between the satellite and receiver caused by reflection or scattering due to buildings forms a non-line-of-sight (NLOS) signal, which significantly degrades positioning accuracy. Therefore, distinguishing and eliminating NLOS signals is the best way to improve the accuracy of modern satellite navigation. Initially, algorithms and physical models were established to eliminate NLOS signals. Then, some machine learning models were developed that appeared to be able to better solve the problem, such as the gradient boosting decision tree, support vector machine, convolutional neural network (CNN), and long short term memory (LSTM) network. However, adapting the same model to different environments and the fine extraction of the original features of the signal are challenges that remain unresolved. Therefore, this paper proposes a neural network based on the attention mechanism, called the environmental transformer (ET), that can extract both the satellite visibility features of the signal and the environmental features around the GNSS signal receiver. In the binary classification task of distinguishing between NLOS and LOS signals, an ET can reach an accuracy of 87.45%, which is higher than that of previously mentioned models. The results also show that the adaptability of an ET to different environments has greatly improved. This paper also explains the working principle of an ET through attention visualization. Abstract

This article reports an improved independent measurement of neutrino mixing angle $\theta_{13}$ at the Daya Bay Reactor Neutrino Experiment. Electron antineutrinos were identified by inverse $\beta$-decays with the emitted neutron captured by hydrogen, yielding a data-set with principally distinct uncertainties from that with neutrons captured by gadolinium. With the final two of eight antineutrino detectors installed, this study used 621 days of data including the previously reported 217-day data set with six detectors. The dominant statistical uncertainty was reduced by 49%. Intensive studies of the cosmogenic muon-induced $^9$Li and fast neutron backgrounds and the neutron-capture energy selection efficiency, resulted in a reduction of the systematic uncertainty by 26%. The deficit in the detected number of antineutrinos at the far detectors relative to the expected number based on the near detectors yielded $\sin^22\theta_{13} = 0.071 \pm 0.011$ in the three-neutrino-oscillation framework. Abstract

Spent nuclear fuel (SNF) antineutrino flux is an important source of uncertainties for a reactor neutrino flux prediction. However, if one want to determine the contribution of spent fuel, many data are needed, such as the amount of spent fuel in the pool, the time after discharged from the reactor core, the burnup of each assembly, and the antineutrino spectrum of the isotopes in the spend fuel. A method to calculate the contribution of SNF is proposed in this study. In this method, reactor simulation code verified by experiment have been used to simulate the fuel depletion by taking into account more than 2000 isotopes and fission products, the quantity of SNF in each six spend fuel pool, and the antineutrino spectrum of SNF varying with time after SNF discharged from core. Results show that the contribution of SNF to the total antineutrino flux is about 0.26%~0.34%, and the shutdown impact is about 20%. The SNF spectrum would distort the softer part of antineutrino spectra, and the maximum contribution from SNF is about 3.0%, but there is 18\% difference between line evaluate method and under evaluate method. In addition, non-equilibrium effects are also discussed, and the results are compatible with theirs considering the uncertainties., Comment: 12 pages, 8 figures

Abstract

This Letter reports a measurement of the flux and energy spectrum of electron antineutrinos from six 2.9~GW$_{th}$ nuclear reactors with six detectors deployed in two near (effective baselines 512~m and 561~m) and one far (1,579~m) underground experimental halls in the Daya Bay experiment. Using 217 days of data, 296,721 and 41,589 inverse beta decay (IBD) candidates were detected in the near and far halls, respectively. The measured IBD yield is (1.55 $\pm$ 0.04) $\times$ 10$^{-18}$~cm$^2$/GW/day or (5.92 $\pm$ 0.14) $\times$ 10$^{-43}$~cm$^2$/fission. This flux measurement is consistent with previous short-baseline reactor antineutrino experiments and is $0.946\pm0.022$ ($0.991\pm0.023$) relative to the flux predicted with the Huber+Mueller (ILL+Vogel) fissile antineutrino model. The measured IBD positron energy spectrum deviates from both spectral predictions by more than 2$\sigma$ over the full energy range with a local significance of up to $\sim$4$\sigma$ between 4-6 MeV. A reactor antineutrino spectrum of IBD reactions is extracted from the measured positron energy spectrum for model-independent predictions.

Abstract

The Daya Bay experiment was the first to report simultaneous measurements of reactor antineutrinos at multiple baselines leading to the discovery of $\bar{\nu}_e$ oscillations over km-baselines. Subsequent data has provided the world's most precise measurement of $\rm{sin}^22\theta_{13}$ and the effective mass splitting $\Delta m_{ee}^2$. The experiment is located in Daya Bay, China where the cluster of six nuclear reactors is among the world's most prolific sources of electron antineutrinos. Multiple antineutrino detectors are deployed in three underground water pools at different distances from the reactor cores to search for deviations in the antineutrino rate and energy spectrum due to neutrino mixing. Instrumented with photomultiplier tubes (PMTs), the water pools serve as shielding against natural radioactivity from the surrounding rock and provide efficient muon tagging. Arrays of resistive plate chambers over the top of each pool provide additional muon detection. The antineutrino detectors were specifically designed for measurements of the antineutrino flux with minimal systematic uncertainty. Relative detector efficiencies between the near and far detectors are known to better than 0.2%. With the unblinding of the final two detectors' baselines and target masses, a complete description and comparison of the eight antineutrino detectors can now be presented. Abstract

We report a new measurement of electron antineutrino disappearance using the fully-constructed Daya Bay Reactor Neutrino Experiment. The final two of eight antineutrino detectors were installed in the summer of 2012. Including the 404 days of data collected from October 2012 to November 2013 resulted in a total exposure of 6.9$\times$10$^5$ GW$_{\rm th}$-ton-days, a 3.6 times increase over our previous results. Improvements in energy calibration limited variations between detectors to 0.2%. Removal of six $^{241}$Am-$^{13}$C radioactive calibration sources reduced the background by a factor of two for the detectors in the experimental hall furthest from the reactors. Direct prediction of the antineutrino signal in the far detectors based on the measurements in the near detectors explicitly minimized the dependence of the measurement on models of reactor antineutrino emission. The uncertainties in our estimates of $\sin^{2}2\theta_{13}$ and $|\Delta m^2_{ee}|$ were halved as a result of these improvements. Analysis of the relative antineutrino rates and energy spectra between detectors gave $\sin^{2}2\theta_{13} = 0.084\pm0.005$ and $|\Delta m^{2}_{ee}|= (2.42\pm0.11) \times 10^{-3}$ eV$^2$ in the three-neutrino framework., Comment: Updated to match final published version

Abstract

Centrosymmetric (CS) nonmagnetic materials with hidden spin polarization induced by non-CS site symmetries and spin-orbit coupling are promising candidates for spintronic applications, in light of the zero net spin polarization and modulatable spin effects hidden in the local structures. There is, however, an open issue regarding the possible spin splitting induced by broken inversion symmetry at the sample surface. Here, we performed combinatorial experimental and theoretical studies on the potentially hidden spin polarization in 2H-MoTe2 and its mechanism. A large spin splitting of 236 meV and opposite spin polarizations up to 80% along out-of-plane direction (z axis) in K and K′ valleys were observed from both spin- and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (spin-ARPES) and density functional theory (DFT). We further found from the DFT calculations that a medium dipole field mimicked the surface symmetry breaking in ARPES measurements induces negligible variation of spin polarization. Our study demonstrates the existence of the intrinsic hidden spin effects in 2H-MoTe2 and opens a way of utilizing these effects in spintronic devices.

Abstract

By first-principle study, we propose a possible stable helium-based compound with chemical formula of Na2HeO. It has a structure of space group F m − 3 m. Energy calculation indicates that it has a local minimum with a lattice constant a = 4. 0 7 Å. Electronic band structure suggests that it is a wide gap insulator. Analysis on Hirshfeld charges and charge density distribution shows a chemical bond formed between O and He atoms in this structure. Results from both elastic constants and phonon dispersion indicate that this compound in the proposed structure is both mechanically and dynamically stable. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

In 2008 we published the first set of guidelines for standardizing research in autophagy. Since then, research on this topic has continued to accelerate, and many new scientists have entered the field. Our knowledge base and relevant new technologies have also been expanding. Accordingly, it is important to update these guidelines for monitoring autophagy in different organisms. Various reviews have described the range of assays that have been used for this purpose. Nevertheless, there continues to be confusion regarding acceptable methods to measure autophagy, especially in multicellular eukaryotes. A key point that needs to be emphasized is that there is a difference between measurements that monitor the numbers or volume of autophagic elements (e.g., autophagosomes or autolysosomes) at any stage of the autophagic process vs. those that measure flux through the autophagy pathway (i.e., the complete process); thus, a block in macroautophagy that results in autophagosome accumulation needs to be differentiated from stimuli that result in increased autophagic activity, defined as increased autophagy induction coupled with increased delivery to, and degradation within, lysosomes (in most higher eukaryotes and some protists such as Dictyostelium) or the vacuole (in plants and fungi). In other words, it is especially important that investigators new to the field understand that the appearance of more autophagosomes does not necessarily equate with more autophagy. In fact, in many cases, autophagosomes accumulate because of a block in trafficking to lysosomes without a concomitant change in autophagosome biogenesis, whereas an increase in autolysosomes may reflect a reduction in degradative activity. Here, we present a set of guidelines for the selection and interpretation of methods for use by investigators who aim to examine macroautophagy and related processes, as well as for reviewers who need to provide realistic and reasonable critiques of papers that are focused on these processes. These guidelines are not meant to be a formulaic set of rules, because the appropriate assays depend in part on the question being asked and the system being used. In addition, we emphasize that no individual assay is guaranteed to be the most appropriate one in every situation, and we strongly recommend the use of multiple assays to monitor autophagy. In these guidelines, we consider these various methods of assessing autophagy and what information can, or cannot, be obtained from them. Finally, by discussing the merits and limits of particular autophagy assays, we hope to encourage technical innovation in the field. © 2012 Landes Bioscience.

Abstract

The interaction of cell-penetrating peptide human immunodeficiency virus transacting activator of transcription, peptide Tat (49-57), which is the minimal transduction domain of human immunodeficiency virus Tat protein, with calf thymus DNA was investigated with UV/Vis spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, circular dichroism, and viscometry. Peptide Tat (49-57) could interact with DNA via the groove binding mode, which is accompanied with electrostatic interaction. The fluorescence experiments revealed that the binding constant was 2.63×105 l×mol-1. The UV/Vis spectroscopy and circular dichroism results revealed that the interaction of Tat (49-57) binding with calf thymus DNA disturbed the acting force of accumulation between DNA base pairs. The antimicrobial study using Tat (49-57) against bacteria proved that Tat (49-57) possessed antimicrobial activity against both Grampositive and Gram-negative bacteria with low haemolysis. Abstract

The effects of vertical compressive stress on Sb2Te3 nano-films have been investigated by the first principles calculation, including stability, electronic structure, crystal structure, and bond order. It is found that the band gap of nano-film is sensitive to the stress in Sb2Te3 nano-film and the critical thickness increases under compressive stress. The band gap and band order of Sb2Te3 film has been affected collectively by the surface and internal crystal structures, the contraction ratio between surface bond length of nano-film and the corresponding bond length of bulk decides the band order of Sb2Te3 film. 40. Activities of α-COOH vs γ-COOH in N-Phosphoryl Amino Acids: A Theoretical Study

Abstract

The biomimic reactions of N-phosphoryl amino acids are very important in the study of many biochemical processes, such as origin of proteins and phosphorylation of amino acid residues in the proteins. The differences in reactivities between α-COOH and γ-COOH in phosphoryl amino acids were studied by ab initio and density functional methods. The pentacoordinate phosphoric intermediates 2 containing five-membered rings were predicted to be more stable than 3 with seven-membered rings. For intermediates 3, the isomers with apical-equatorial ring spanning arrangement were predicted to be more stable than those with diequatorial ring spanning arrangement. At the B3LYP/6-31G** level, intermediates 2 were 66.56 kJ/mol lower in energy than 3. It was shown that the transition states 4 and 5 involving an α-COOH or γ-COOH group had energy barriers of ΔE = 57.59 kJ mol-1 and 120.93 kJ mol-1, respectively. The theoretical calculations suggested that the α-COOH group could be differentiated from the γ-COOH intramolecularly in amino acids by N-phosphorylation. These might be helpful to understand why only α-COOH, not γ-COOH, was involved in the biomimic reactions.

41. Na2HeO: A possible helium compound from first-principles study

Abstract

By first-principle study, we propose a possible stable helium-based compound with chemical formula of Na2HeO. It has a structure of space group Fm−3m. Energy calculation indicates that it has a local minimum with a lattice constant a=4.07Å. Electronic band structure suggests that it is a wide gap insulator. Analysis on Hirshfeld charges and charge density distribution shows a chemical bond formed between O and He atoms in this structure. Results from both elastic constants and phonon dispersion indicate that this compound in the proposed structure is both mechanically and dynamically stable.

Abstract

Here, we are going to report a simple, low-cost and environmental friendly process to prepare the cobalt hybrid/graphene (Co/G) nanocomposite at room temperature. NaBH4 was used as the reducing agent. Such an approach can be extended to grow some other metal/G nanocomposites, for example, Ni/G, Co/G nanocomposite possesses narrow size-distribution and good dispersion. Because of the special appearance with large surface area, and the special synthesis process of the productions, adsorption experiments for Congo Red were carried out in synthetic wastewater. The CR removal ability of Co/G nanocomposite can reach 263.2 mg/g.

Abstract

Orychophragmus violaceus (OV) and chicory ( Cichorium intybus L., CC) can be used as fresh or dry forage for animals. To determine whether OV and/or CC have beneficial effects on performance and egg quality, a total of 1212 28-wk-old Beijing You Chicken (BYC) laying hens with similar performance were randomly allocated to 4 groups with 3 replicate pens per group, and 101 birds per pen. The birds were fed a basal diet (control), the basal diet + OV (3.507 kg/d/pen), the basal diet + CC (2.525 kg/d/pen), and the basal diet + OV + CC (OVC, 1.7535 kg/d/pen OV + 1.2625 kg/d/pen CC) for 3 wks after one wk of adaptation. The results showed that egg-laying rate was not affected by OV, CC and OVC ( p  > 0.05), but weekly average egg mass was significantly increased by OV and CC ( p  < 0.05). The feed egg ratio in the CC group (2.82) was significantly lower than that in the other three groups ( p  < 0.05). The eggshell thickness (EST), albumen height (AH) and Haugh unit (HU) were decreased by OV and CC ( p  < 0.05); while yolk color (YC) was increased in the CC and OVC groups ( p  < 0.05). Egg grade was decreased by OV ( p  < 0.05). Sensory evaluation showed that there was a trend for increased YC in OV, CC and OVC ( p  = 0.089). Serum total protein was significantly lower in OV group than those in the control and CC group ( p  < 0.05); serum albumin content was significantly decreased in OV, CC and OVC groups ( p  = 0.006). Serum glutathione peroxidase activity in CC and OVC groups was significantly higher than that in the control group ( p  < 0.05). In conclusion, the present study suggests that CC had a better effect on the performance of the native laying hens than OV. The OV and CC affected egg quality, while YC was increased in CC and OVC groups. The OVC improved YC and serum antioxidative properties of native laying hens without affecting the performance.

Abstract

A retrospective analysis was conducted on a MonoMAC syndrome case admitted in October 2022 to the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine. The patient, a 16-year-old female with a history of persistent monocytopenia and mild anemia for several years, experienced recurrent symptoms of cough, expectoration, and fever, leading to multiple visits to the hospital. The diagnosis of MonoMAC syndrome was confirmed through comprehensive assessments including routine blood tests, pathogen metagenomic sequencing, lung and bone marrow biopsies, and next-generation sequencing of peripheral blood. The patient underwent haploidentical hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, with a smooth course of transplantation, achieving neutrophil engraftment on + 16 d and platelet engraftment on + 17 d, eventually restoring normal monocyte and NK cell counts. MonoMAC syndrome patients often initially present with infectious symptoms, and the diagnosis can be established based on significant monocytopenia in routine blood tests, history of non-tuberculous mycobacterial infections, and GATA2 germline mutations. Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation may be required for some patients to improve their prognosis.

Abstract

Importance: Although Micropterus salmoides rhabdovirus (MSRV) causes serious fish epidemics worldwide, the detailed mechanism of MSRV entry into host cells remains unknown. Here, we comprehensively investigated the mechanism of MSRV entry into epithelioma papulosum cyprinid (EPC) cells. This study demonstrated that MSRV enters EPC cells via a low pH, dynamin-dependent, microtubule-dependent, and clathrin-mediated endocytosis. Subsequently, MSRV transports from early endosomes to late endosomes and further into lysosomes in a microtubule-dependent manner. The characterization of MSRV entry will further advance the understanding of rhabdovirus cellular entry pathways and provide novel targets for antiviral drug against MSRV infection., Competing Interests: The authors declare no conflict of interest.

Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of intravenous iron supplementation in patients with recurrent iron deficiency anemia (IDA) . Methods: This retrospective analysis of 90 patients with recurrent IDA from May 2012 to December 2021 was conducted, comparing the efficacy and safety of the intravenous iron therapy group and the oral iron therapy group. Results: Among the 90 patients with recurrent IDA, 20 were males and 70 were females, with a median age of 40 (range: 14-85) years. A total of 60 patients received intravenous iron supplementation and 30 received oral iron supplementation. The hematologic response rates in the intravenous iron group were significantly higher than those in the oral iron group at 4 and 8 weeks after treatment [80.0% (48/60) vs 3.3% (1/30) and 96.7% (58/60) vs 46.7% (14/30), all P <0.001, respectively]. The median increase in hemoglobin levels was also significantly higher in the intravenous iron group than in the oral iron group [38 (4, 66) g/L vs 7 (1, 22) g/L at week 4 and 44.5 (18, 80) g/L vs 19 (3, 53) g/L at week 8, all P <0.001]. The intravenous iron group had a significantly higher proportion of patients who achieved normal hemoglobin levels than the oral iron group (55.0% vs 0 and 90% vs 43.3%, all P<0.001, respectively). Iron metabolism indicators were tested before and after 8 weeks of treatment in 26 and 7 patients in the intravenous and oral iron groups, respectively. The median increase in serum ferritin (SF) levels in the intravenous iron group 8 weeks after treatment was 113.7 (49.7, 413.5) μg/L, and 54% (14/26) of these patients had SF levels of ≥100 μg/L, which was significantly higher than the median increase in SF levels in the oral iron group [14.0 (5.8, 84.2) μg/L, t =4.760, P <0.001] and the proportion of patients with SF levels of ≥100 μg/L ( P =0.013). The incidence of adverse reactions was 3.3% (2/60) in the intravenous iron group, which was significantly lower than that in the oral iron group [20.0% (6/30), P =0.015]. Conclusion: Intravenous iron supplementation is more effective for hematologic response, faster hemoglobin increase, and higher iron storage replenishment rates compared with oral iron supplementation in patients with recurrent IDA, and it is well tolerated by patients.

Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the predictive value of neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) on admission and before discharge for long-term all-cause death (ACD) in patients hospitalized with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). Methods: Patients hospitalized and discharged from hospital alive with the clinical diagnosis of HFrEF in cardiac care unit (CCU) of TEDA International Cardiovascular Hospital from January 2013 to December 2017 were consecutively enrolled. NLR, which was defined as neutrophil counts divided by lymphocyte counts, was measured 1 day within admission and 3 days before discharge to evaluate the prognostic value of admission NLR in combination with discharge NLR for the ACD after discharge by using of multivariate Cox regression analysis. Patients were followed-up until December 2020 or ACD. Results: A total of 368 patients hospitalized with HFrEF were enrolled with an age of (54±14) years, including 79 females (21.5%). During the median (inter-quartile range, IQR) duration of follow-up after discharge of 30 (10, 60) months, 95 patients died, thus, the rate of ACD was 25.8%. Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that the NLR level before discharge was an independent predictor of ACD after discharge [hazard ratio ( HR )=1.143, 95% confidence interval ( CI ) 1.048-1.248, P =0.003] after adjusting for other parameters such as systolic blood pressure on admission and at discharge, left ventricular end-diastolic diameter on admission, and usage of aldosterone receptor blockers at discharge. Moreover, compared to those with NLR level at admission ≤2.25 and ≤2.00 before discharge, the long-term risk of ACD after discharge was nearly doubled for patients with NLR level at admission>2.25 and>2.00 before discharge (adjusted HR =1.968, 95% CI 1.198-3.234, P =0.008). Conclusions: The NLR level before discharge was an independent predictor of ACD after discharge for patients hospitalized with HFrEF. Combining NLR levels at admission and before discharge help to better predictive the risk of long-term ACD after discharge.

Abstract

Objective: To explore the role of low-dose irisin in the browning of white adipose tissue (WAT) and activation of brown adipose tissue (BAT) in mice, and its effect on the metabolic function of diet induced obesity. Methods: A total of 22 C57/BLKS/J male mice fed with normal diet and 8 fed with high fat diet were separately divided into experimental and control group. The experimental group was given irisin (0.8 ng/g, 200 μl), while the control group was given the same volume (200 μl) of phosphate buffer saline every day for 14 consecutive days intraperitoneally. Food intake and body weight of mice were collected regularly every day. After intervention, the mice were killed and the changes of lipid content and activity in adipose tissue were detected by histopathology and immunohistochemistry. The effects of irisin at different concentrations (0, 20 and 40 nmol/L) on primary white adipocytes and brown adipocytes were evaluated by immunohistochemistry on uncoupling protein 1(UCP1). In order to further evaluate whether irisin has the function of improving metabolism, the changes of serum indexes and hepatic steatosis in mice fed with high-fat diet were monitored. Results: The primary white and brown adipocytes derived from mice were successfully cultured and identified in vitro . In NCD mice, the weight gain of mice with irisin was lower than that of control mice [(-0.78±0.98) vs (0.27±0.55) g]. Histopathology showed that the area of white adipocytes with irisin was smaller than controls [(14.78±8.44) vs (29.49±12.97) μm 2 ] and the brown adipocytes were larger than controls [(0.92±0.35) vs (0.19±0.12) μm 2 ] (both P< 0.05), while the expression of UCP1 in both adipose tissues was significantly higher in irisin group. After irisin treatment, the levels of blood glucose [(7.18±0.41) vs (13.48±2.07) mmol/L, P <0.01]and cholesterol [(2.38±0.26) vs (3.89±0.93) mmol/L, P <0.05] were significantly lower than controls, and the content of lipid droplets in liver cells was less than controls [ (2.73±1.96)% vs (14.04±6.29) %, P <0.001]. Conclusions: Low dose irisin can promote the browning of WAT and activate BAT, reducing the body weight of mice by producing heat. Irisin can also effectively improve diet-induced obesity and related metabolic disorders in mice.

50. [The relationship between premature atrial complexes and recurrence of atrial fibrillation: a meta-analysis].

Abstract

Objective: To explore the relationship between premature atrial complexes (PACs) and recurrence of atrial fibrillation (AF). Methods: Published literature was searched in PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane, Weipu, China national knowledge infrastructure, Wanfang and China Biology Medicine disc up to 25 March 2020. RevMan5.3 software was used to analyzed the data and publication bias was performed by Stata 15.1. Results: A total of 8 studies were identified, including 1 252 AF patients with a mean age of 61.67 years, and male patients accounted for 70.6%. During follow-up, AF recurred in 425 cases. Meta-analysis showed that frequent PACs was an independent risk factor for recurrence of AF ( HR =2.64, 95% CI :1.40-4.97). Subgroup analyses showed that PACs not only increasedthe risk of recurrence of AF after electrical cardioversion ( HR =2.38, 95% CI :1.25-4.51), but also significantly increased the risk of recurrence of AF after catheter ablation cardioversion ( HR =2.90, 95% CI :1.11-7.60). Conclusions: PACs is significantly associated with AF recurrence.
