Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the dynamic changes in QTc interval duration among patients with COVID-19 infection before, during, and after infection, in order to assess the short- and potential long-term impact of COVID-19 on cardiac electrophysiology. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 303 inpatients diagnosed with COVID-19 who visited a tertiary Grade A hospital in China between August 2022 and December 2023. Inclusion criteria required patients to have at least two electrocardiogram (ECG) recordings at three specific time points: before COVID-19 infection, during acute infection, and after recovery (more than one month post-infection). Results: The mean age of participants was 72.8 ± 14.7 years, with a male preponderance (62%, n = 188). A significant prolongation of QTc interval was observed during COVID-19 infection compared to pre-infection levels (438.3 ± 26.7 ms vs. 433.9 ± 26.6 ms, p = 0.025). QTc interval was positively correlated with age both before (r = 0.23, p = 0.001) and during infection (r = 0.19, p = 0.001). In short-term follow-up (≤ 6 months), QTc interval remained unchanged from the infectious period (p > 0.05), whereas it significantly decreased during long-term follow-up (> 6 months; 429.6 ± 32.5 ms vs. 437.5 ± 28.2 ms, p = 0.002). Additionally, P-wave duration significantly decreased from the infectious period to long-term follow-up (99.5 ± 14.8 ms to 96.4 ± 15.2 ms, p = 0.024). Conclusions: COVID-19 infection demonstrated a significant correlation with prolonged QTc interval, persisting in the short term but gradually returning to normal in the long term. Background: Existing researches have predominantly focused on the implications of dynamic alterations in the triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index and traditional obesity measures for cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk. However, the application of the weight-adjusted waist index (WWI), which incorporates the dynamically changing body composition factors of weight and waist circumference, alongside the TyG index for predicting CVD risk, remains unexplored. This study explores the relationships between baseline TyG-WWI index and its dynamic changes with CVD risk. Methods: Subjects were drawn from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study. Logistic regression analyses were conducted to determine the relationships between baseline and longitudinal changes in the TyG-WWI index and CVD risk, quantified through odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs). The robustness of results was confirmed via subgroup analyses and E-values. Additionally, restricted cubic spline and quartile-based methods evaluated the relationships between baseline and cumulative TyG-WWI indices and CVD risk. Results: Over two survey waves, 613 CVD events were recorded. Analysis using adjusted multivariable models demonstrated a significant relationship between the cumulative TyG-WWI index and increased CVD risk, with an adjusted OR (95% CI) of 1.005 (1.000, 1.009). Class 2 of the TyG-WWI index change showed greater risk of CVD compared to Class 1, with ORs of 1.270 (1.008, 1.605). However, no significant connection was observed between the baseline TyG-WWI index and CVD risk (OR = 1.007, 95% CI: 0.996, 1.019). Studies suggest that the dynamic changes in cellular response might correlate with disease severity and outcomes in SARS-CoV-2 patients. The study aimed to investigate the dynamic changes of lymphocyte subsets in patients with COVID-19. In this regard, 53 patients with COVID-19 were prospectively included, classified as mild, moderate, and severe. The peripheral lymphocyte profiles (LyT, LyB, and NK cells), as well as CD4+/CD8+, CD3+/CD19+, CD3+/NK and CD19+/NK ratios, and their dynamic changes during hospitalization and correlation with disease severity and outcome were assessed. We found significant differences in CD3+ lymphocytes between severity groups (p < 0.0001), with significantly decreased CD3+CD4+ and CD3+CD8+ in patients with severe disease (p < 0.0001 and p = 0.048, respectively). Lower CD3+/CD19+ and CD3+/NK ratios among patients with severe disease (p = 0.019 and p = 0.010, respectively) were found. The dynamic changes of lymphocyte subsets showed a significant reduction in NK cells (%) and a significant increase in CD3+CD4+ and CD3+CD8+ cells in patients with moderate and severe disease. The ROC analysis on the relationship between CD3+ cells and fatal outcome yielded an AUC of 0.723 (95% CI 0.583–0.837; p = 0.007), while after addition of age and SpO2, ferritin and NLR, the AUC significantly improved to 0.927 (95%CI 0.811–0.983), p < 0.001 with a sensitivity of 90.9% (95% CI 58.7–99.8%) and specificity of 85.7% (95% CI 69.7–95.2%). The absolute number of CD3+ lymphocytes might independently predict fatal outcomes in COVID-19 patients and T-lymphocyte subset evaluation in high-risk patients might be useful in estimating disease progression. In this study, fruits of the red flesh Malus plant 'Hongxun 2' (Malus neidzwetzkyana (Dieck) Langenf.) and green flesh Malus plant 'Xinye 13-11' (Malus sieversii (Led.) Roem.) were used as experimental materials. Both of them came from Xinjiang, China, and Malus neidzwetzkyana (Dieck) Langenf. is believed to be a variant of Malus sieversii (Led.) Roem. The components and contents of polyphenols in the peel and pulp of the two kinds of fruit during the development period were detected, and the dynamic changes and differences in the polyphenols between the two kinds of fruit were discussed. The results showed that the total polyphenol content of 'Xinye 13-11' was higher in the peel and pulp than that of 'Hongxun 2', and the content of peel was higher than that of pulp in the two kinds of fruit. An analysis of five types of polyphenols showed that anthocyanins were only contained in the peel and pulp of 'Hongxun-2', and the peel had a higher content than the pulp. Cyanidin 3-O-galactoside was the main anthocyanin component. Four other types of substances, except hydroxycinnamics, were higher in 'Hongxun-2' than 'Xinye 13-11', while the contents of other substances in 'Xinye 13-11' were higher than those of 'Hongxun 2'. The accumulation of major polyphenol components in the peel and flesh of 'Hongxun 2' and 'Xinye 13-11' apples was significant in the period before and after 65 days after flowering, and the contents of procyanidin B1 and procyanidin C1 were the highest in this period. In addition to the difference in anthocyanin content between 'Hongxun 2' and 'Xinye 13-11', the chlorogenic acid content in the peel and pulp of 'Hongxun 2' was significantly higher than that of 'Xinye 13-11', and the contents of other components were lower than those of 'Xinye 13-11'. Moreover, based on the components and contents of polyphenol components, this paper supports the viewpoint that Malus neidzwetzkyana (Dieck) Langenf is a separate species to Malus sieversii (Led.) This study aimed to evaluate the characteristic aroma compounds of white tea made from ‘Fuhuang 1’, an albino mutant of ‘Fuandabaicha’, and their dynamic changes during tea processing. The types and relative contents of volatile compounds in ‘Fuhuang 1’ and ‘Fuandabaicha’ tea leaves withered for 0, 12, 24, 36 and 48 h and in white tea made from each variety were determined by headspace solid-phase microextraction combined with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (HS-SPME-GC-MS). A total of 560 aroma compounds were detected in all samples, among which terpenes, heterocyclic compounds, esters and hydrocarbons were the major aroma components of white tea. During the withering process, the total content of volatile metabolite in both cultivars gradually increased, reaching the highest value at 48 h. Based on their relative odor activity values (ROAVs), terpinolene, citral, 1-octen-3-one, and damascenone were identified as the key aroma components of ‘Fuandabaicha’ white tea, and these compounds together with methyl salicylate and benzaldehyde as the key aroma components of ‘Fuhuang 1’ white tea. 1-Octen-3-one and citral were accumulated in large amounts at the early stage of withering and then decreased. Terpenolene, benzaldehyde, methyl salicylate, and damascus ketone continuously increased during the whole withering process. Terpinolene, citral, 1-octen-3-one, and damascenone greatly contributed to the floral, fruity and sweet aroma of ‘Fuhuang 1’ and ‘Fuandabaicha’ white tea. 1-Octene-3-one, methyl salicylate, and benzaldehyde were the key compounds responsible for the clean and fresh aroma of ‘Fuhuang 1’ white tea. This study helps gain insights into the aroma characteristics of ‘Fuhuang 1’ white tea and provides a scientific basis for the research and development of white tea made from albino tea plant mutants.

Abstract Background Previous studies have reported that anemia was associated with depression, but the association between changes in depressive symptoms and the risk of anemia was unclear. This study aimed to explore whether changes in depressive symptoms were associated with anemia among the middle-aged and elderly adults. Methods A total of 6112 patients aged 45 years and older from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS) were included in this analysis. Elevated Depression Symptoms (EDS) was defined as the Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale-10 score ≥ 10. Depression status was defined as no depressive symptom [no EDS at Wave 1 (2011–2012) and Wave 2 (2013–2014)], decreasing depressive symptoms (EDS at Wave 1, no EDS at Wave 2), increasing depressive symptoms (no EDS at Wave 1, EDS at Wave 2), persistent depressive symptoms (EDS at Wave 1 and Wave 2). Multivariable logistic regression analyses were conducted to estimate the relationships between depressive symptoms and the changes and risk of anemia. Results During the follow-up of Wave 1 and Wave 3 (2015–2016), 906 participants (14.82%) developed anemia, the multivariable-adjusted odds ratio for the depressive symptom compared with the no depressive symptom was 1.24 (95% CI, 1.12–1.58) for anemia. From Wave 2 to Wave 3, there were 828 participants (14.62%) diagnosed with anemia. Compared to participants with no depressive symptom, those with persistent depressive symptoms during Wave 1 and Wave 2 had the significantly elevated risk of anemia (odds ratio 1.44, 95% CI 1.21–1.84). Conclusions The present study demonstrated that baseline depressive symptoms and changes in depressive symptoms were associated with increased risks of anemia.

In remote sensing image processing, when categorizing images from multiple remote sensing data sources, the deepening of the network hierarchy is prone to the problems of feature dispersion, as well as the loss of semantic information. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes to integrate a parallel network architecture HDAM-Net algorithm with a hybrid dual attention mechanism Hybrid dual attention mechanism for forest land cover change. Firstly, we propose a fusion MCA + SAM (MS) attention mechanism to improve VIT network, which can capture the correlation information between features; secondly, we propose a multilayer residual cascade convolution (MSCRC) network model using Double Cross-Attention Module (DCAM) attention mechanism, which is able to efficiently utilize the spatial dependency between multiscale encoder features: the spatial dependency between multiscale encoder features. Finally, the dual-channel parallel architecture is utilized to solve the structural differences and realize the enhancement of forestry image classification differentiation and effective monitoring of forest cover changes. In order to compare the performance of HDAM-Net, mountain urban forest types are classified based on multiple remote sensing data sources, and the performance of the model is evaluated. The experimental results show that the overall accuracy of the algorithm proposed in this paper is 99.42%, while the Transformer (ViT) is 96.92%, which indicates that the proposed classifier is able to accurately determine the cover type.The HDAM-Net model emphasizes the effectiveness in terms of accurately classifying the land, as well as the forest types by using multiple remote sensing data sources for predicting the future trend of the forest ecosystem. In addition, the land utilization rate and land cover change can clearly show the forest cover change and support the data to predict the future trend of the forest ecosystem so that the forest resource survey can effectively monitor deforestation and evaluate forest restoration projects. Groundwater represents a critical resource for sustaining the livelihoods of both urban and rural populations, facilitating economic and social development, and preserving ecological equilibrium. This study leverages groundwater quality monitoring data from the northern Baiquan spring basin (NBSB) to elucidate groundwater hydrochemical characteristics and decipher the temporal variability in water quality. Findings suggest that groundwater within the NBSB is predominantly weakly alkaline and characterized as hard-fresh, with HCO3− and Ca2+ as the predominant ions, which collectively demarcate the hydrochemical type as predominantly HCO3-Ca. The principal constituents of NBSB groundwater are influenced predominantly by the weathering of carbonates and silicates alongside the dissolution of gypsum and halite. Moreover, agricultural operations and similar human activities have exerted an impact on the hydrochemical attributes of NBSB's groundwater. Generally, fluctuations in groundwater anion concentrations over time are more pronounced than those of cations, exemplified by a significant upward trend in the major ion concentrations at the BQ03 monitoring site in the later stages. While the general groundwater quality within the NBSB is deemed satisfactory, most monitoring sites have experienced an escalation in water quality indices over time, notably at BQ03, which warrants serious attention. Lysimachia foenum-graecum Hance (LF) has a special fragrance due to its volatile components (VCs). However, this fragrance, which might be related to the changes in VCs and contents, is obviously disparate across LF samples from different storage times and regions. In order to investigate the differences in VCs of LF from different storage times and regions, a headspace-gas chromatography-ion mobility spectrometry technique was proposed and applied. The Gallery plots of different samples showed significant differences. According to the fingerprints, a total of 29 compounds with significant differences were identified. Furthermore, 1,8-cineole, 2-octanone, heptanal monomer, and 2-methylpropa might be the key components for origin identification, while phenylacetaldehyde, 2-ethylfuran, 2-pentyl furan monomer, gamma-butyrolactone monomer, and maltol might be the key components that make LF more fragrant after storage. Besides, the principal component analysis initial solution to original variables demonstrated that the two principal components accounted for 51 and 22% of the total variance, respectively. Similarity analysis showed the similarity within the individual groups was above 90% excluding 1A and 2E, while it was only 60 to 70% between the groups. The research results provide a non-destructive method without pretreatment for LF from different origins and different storage times and also provide a scientific basis for the application of LF. To elucidate the formation of characteristic aroma over enzymatic-catalyzed processes (ECP), GC–MS-based volatile-metabolomic combined with desorption-electrospray-ionization coupled mass-spectrometry-imaging (DESI-MSI) were employed to analyze the changes of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in Tieguanyin tea. A total of 579 VOCs were obtained, from which 24 components involved in five pathways were identified as biomarkers. Among these, four VOCs including 2-furancarboxylic acid, 4-methylbenzaldehyde, N-benzylformamide, cuminaldehyde, were detected in both DESI-MSI and GC–MS analysis, exhibiting dynamic changes along processing steps. RNA-sequencing analysis indicated the genes referring to stress response were activated during tea processing, facilitating the accumulation of flora-fruity aroma in tea leaf. Metabolic pathways analysis revealed that the increase in floral-fruity related components such as volatile terpenoids, phenylpropanoids/benzenoids, indole, alongside a decrease in green leaf volatiles including (E)-2-Hexenal, (Z)-3-Hexenol, played a crucial role in development of characteristic aroma, which could be a feasible index for evaluating processing techniques or quality of oolong tea.

Abstract Objective To explore the effect of dynamic changes in free triiodothyronine (FT3) level for predicting the 90 day prognosis of patients with hepatitis B virus–related acute-on-chronic liver failure (HBV-ACLF). Methods The clinical data of 122 hospitalised patients with HBV-ACLF between September 2018 and January 2020 were collected and divided into a survival group (77 cases) and a death group (45 cases) according to the 90 day prognosis. We statistically analysed the characteristics of FT3 changes in the two groups of patients. Binary logistic regression one-way analysis was used to assess the degree of influence of each factor. The Kaplan–Meier survival curve and receiver operating characteristic curve were used to evaluate the effect of a single change in FT3 level difference (single △FT3) and the FT3 level change range (△FT3 range) in predicting the 90-day prognosis of patients. Results There were only three types of changes in FT3 levels, which included 19 (15.6%) cases of continuous normal type, 35 (28.7%) cases of continuous decrease type and 68 (55.7%) cases of U-shaped change type. Young people use digital media for various purposes, such as communication, entertainment, and information. As they grow up, their media repertoires become more complex and diverse. This article examines these media repertoires in more detail, considering the dynamic changes in individual development, social circumstances, and deep mediatization. Using semi-structured interviews with young people and one parent each, as well as a media-actor mapping, the study reveals significant changes in the composition and function of media repertoires from late childhood to early and middle adolescence. Drawing on the theoretical background of communicative figurations, it highlights changes in media ensembles, actor constellations, frames of relevance, and communicative practices. Besides changes in media repertoires for coping with developmental tasks and individual transitions in life, social factors such as the role of family and peers are considered. The empirical findings also point to the added value of qualitative longitudinal data which allows for a comprehensive examination of the complexity of changing media repertoires within a deeply mediatized society and a rapidly evolving media environment. Qidan is one of the most famous varieties of Wuyi Rock tea and has a strong aroma. The aroma-active compounds in Qidan subject to different roasting times were analyzed using solid-phase microextraction two-dimensional gas chromatography–olfactometry–mass spectrometry (SPME-GC×GC-O-MS), and a total of 92 aroma-active compounds were detected. Multivariate statistical analysis showed that the roasting time had a significant effect on the aroma characteristics of Qidan, and that the key products in the Maillard reaction accumulated with the extension of the roasting time; these key products were screened out according to the calculation of the odor activity values (OAVs), from which kinetic equations were established. It was found that the levels of 2-methylbutanal, 3-methylbutanal, 2-methylpyrazine, 2-ethyl-5-methylpyrazine, and benzaldehyde increased with time, while the contents of benzeneacetaldehyde showed a tendency to first increase and then decrease. Objectives: In this study, we compared the dynamic changes in body composition during XELOX/SOX chemotherapy in patients with gastric cancer. Furthermore, we investigated the potential impact of these changes on the occurrence of toxic side effects. Methods: Patients with gastric cancer who received adjuvant or first-line XELOX/ SOX chemotherapy between January 2020 and June 2023 were enrolled. The Brief Conghua Scale was used to assess energy intake, and nutritional management was carried out with reference to the Chinese Guidelines for Nutritional Therapy of Cancer 2020. The NRS 2002 Nutritional Risk Screening Scale, PG-SGA scale, bioelectrical impedance analysis, and dynamic changes in lumbar 3 vertebral skeletal muscle index were compared between baseline and post-chemotherapy in the study. The neutropenia was evaluated using the Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events V.5.0, developed by the National Institutes of Health. Results: Dynamic follow-up was completed in 39 cases, with a mean follow-up time of 117.62 ± 43.38 days. The incidence of sarcopenia increased significantly after chemotherapy, escalating from 46.2% to 51.3%. After chemotherapy, the mean L3SMI decreased from 36.00 cm²/m² to 34.99 cm²/m². Furthermore, when compared to pre-chemotherapy values, the body composition indexes body mass index (BMI), SL3, fat mass free index (FFMI), lean body mass (LBM), and body surface area (BSA) were significantly reduced after chemotherapy. Regardless of baseline or post-chemotherapy status, the incidence of grade ≥ 3 neutropenia was significantly higher in the sarcopenia group than in the nonsarcopenia group. Furthermore, when the skeletal muscle index decreased during chemotherapy, the incidence of grade ≥ 3 neutropenia was significantly higher in both the sarcopenia and non-sarcopenia groups compared to baseline. When the incidence of grade ≥ 3 neutropenia in the post-chemotherapy sarcopenia group was compared to baseline status, the increase was significantly higher in the sarcopenia group than in the maintenance/ increase group. Monitoring the long-term changes in antibody and cellular immunity following Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection is crucial for understanding immune mechanisms that prevent reinfection. In March 2023, we recruited 167 participants from the Changning District, Shanghai, China. A subset of 66 participants that were infected between November 2022 and January 2023 was selected for longitudinal follow-up. The study aimed to investigate the dynamics of the immune response, including neutralizing antibodies (NAbs), anti-spike (S)-immunoglobulin G (IgG), anti-S-IgM, and lymphocyte profiles, by analyzing peripheral blood samples collected three to seven months post infection. A gradual decrease in NAbs and IgG levels were observed from three to seven months post infection. No significant differences in NAbs and IgG titers were found across various demographics, including age, sex, occupation, and symptomatic presentation, across five follow-up assessments. Additionally, a strong correlation between NAbs and IgG levels was identified. Lymphocyte profiles showed a slight change at five months but had returned to baseline levels by seven months post infection. Notably, healthcare workers exhibited lower B-cell levels compared to police officers. Our study demonstrated that the immune response to SARS-CoV-2 infection persisted for at least seven months. Ischemic stroke is a brain injury caused by cerebral blood circulation disorders and is closely related to oxidative stress. Aldose reductase (AR) is a critical enzyme involved in oxidative stress. Autophagy has previously been found to play a key role in cerebral ischemia‒reperfusion injury. However, it is still unclear how autophagy molecules change after cerebral ischemia‒reperfusion injury in AR knockout mice (AR−/−). A transient middle cerebral artery occlusion (tMCAO) model was generated in AR−/− mice, and the neurological deficit scores of the mice were observed and recorded on Days 1, 3 and 5 after tMCAO. Introduction: The intricate interplay between gut microbiota and hyperuricemia remains a subject of growing interest. However, existing studies only provided snapshots of the gut microbiome at single time points, the temporal dynamics of gut microbiota alterations during hyperuricemia progression and the intricate interplay between the gut barrier and microbiota remain underexplored. Our investigation revealed compelling insights into the dynamic changes in both gut microbiota and intestinal barrier function throughout the course of hyperuricemia. Methods: The hyperuricemia mice (HY) were given intragastric administration of adenine and potassium oxalate. Gut microbiota was analyzed by 16S rRNA sequencing at 3, 7, 14, and 21 days after the start of the modeling process. Intestinal permeability as well as LPS, TNF-a, and IL-1ß levels were measured at 3, 7, 14, and 21 days. Results: We discovered that shifts in microbial community composition occur prior to the onset of hyperuricemia, key bacterial Bacteroidaceae, Bacteroides, and Blautia exhibited reduced levels, potentially fueling microbial dysbiosis as the disease progresses. During the course of hyperuricemia, the dynamic fluctuations in both uric acid levels and intestinal barrier function was accompanied with the depletion of key beneficial bacteria, including Prevotellaceae, Muribaculum, Parabacteroides, Akkermansia, and Bacteroides, and coincided with an increase in pathogenic bacteria such as Oscillibacter and Ruminiclostridium. This microbial community shift likely contributed to elevated lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and proinflammatory cytokine levels, ultimately promoting metabolic inflammation. The decline of Burkholderiaceae and Parasutterella was inversely related to uric acid levels, Conversely, key families Ruminococcaceae, Family_XIII, genera Anaeroplasma exhibited positive correlations with uric acid levels. Akkermansiaceae and Bacteroidaceae demonstrating negative correlations, while LPS-containing microbiota such as Desulfovibrio and Enterorhabdus exhibited positive correlations with intestinal permeability. Conclusion: In summary, this study offers a dynamic perspective on the complex interplay between gut microbiota, uric acid levels, and intestinal barrier function during hyperuricemia progression. Our study suggested that Ruminiclostridium, Bacteroides, Akkermansiaceae, Bilophila, Burkholderiaceae and Parasutterella were the key bacteria that play vital rols in the progress of hyperuricemia and compromised intestinal barrier, which provide a potential avenue for therapeutic interventions in hyperuricemia. Coastal dunes record the evolutionary process of coastal dynamic geomorphological systems, and provide valuable information on climate change, sea level changes, environmental evolution. These dunes are essential for global change research. In view of the dynamic changes in coastal dunes caused by extreme weather, coastal erosion and human activities, we propose a comprehensive evaluation method for coastal dune evolution, which monitors Haiyang Ten Thousand Meters Beach of China from three perspectives: point, line, and surface. This method integrates LiDAR, GNSS, and RS technologies. The research results indicate that between 2016 and 2018, 68% of the GNSS point measurements in 22 survey profiles of coastal dunes were eroded along the foreshore. During 2011-2020, the coastline based on the RS data basically remained stable; only the estuarine district underwent significant changes, and the overall average change rate was 1.32 m/a. The overall morphological evolution of coastal dunes obtained by LiDAR in 2018 was relatively stable, but there was a weak erosion trend in the foreshores of the coastal dunes. This study is beneficial for providing precise targets for remediating and restoring eroded coastal areas in the future. Afforestation plays an important role in improving the ecological environment and promoting local economic development in countries around the world. Although the artificial afforestation project in Tibet has been conducted for more than 30 years since in 1990 s, few studies have examined the dynamic changes in landscape patterns of planted forests in this region since the implementation of the project. This study used Google Earth Engine (GEE) and Landsat data from 1990, 2000, 2010 and 2020 to construct a Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) time series curves and an optimal classification model based on the Jeffries-Matusita (J-M) distance. Then, the changes in landscape indices of planted forests in the Tibet Autonomous Region over the past 30 years were examined. The results showed that the area of planted forests increased from 9889.20 ha to 165,879.36 ha by artificial planting, with an average annualized growth rate of about 9.86%. In terms of the landscape pattern, the connectivity and aggregation degree of planted forests increased; the Cohesion (COH) and Aggregation Index (AI) increased by 44.60% and 26.03%, respectively. However, the fragmentation indices also increased to a certain extent due to the increased area and discontinuous planting; the Number of Patches (NP), Patch Density (PD) and Landscape Shape Index (LSI) increased by 32,262, 0.03 and 138.88, respectively. Among the seven regions of Tibet, these changes were most obvious in Lhasa, Qamdo and Shannan regions. Our results indicate that the planted forest area has significantly increased over the past 30 years although the landscape complexity has also increased because of discontinuous planting. These findings highlight the remarkable achievements of the Tibetan afforestation project over the past 30 years.

Abstract Background Predicting the prognosis of primary percutaneous coronary intervention(PPCI) in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients in the perioperative period is of great clinical significance. The inflammatory response during the perioperative period is also an important factor. This study aimed to investigate the dynamic changes in the systemic immune inflammatory index (SII) during the perioperative period of PPCI and evaluate its predictive value for in-hospital and out-of-hospital outcomes in patients with STEMI. Methods This retrospective study included 324 consecutive patients with STEMI who were admitted to the cardiac care unit. Blood samples were collected before PPCI, 12 h (T1), 24 h, 48 h after PPCI, the last time before hospital discharge (T2), and 1 month after hospital discharge. The SII was calculated as (neutrophils×platelets)/lymphocytes. Based on whether the primary endpoint occurred, we divided the patients into event and non-event groups. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed to identify independent risk factors that might influence the occurrence of the primary endpoint. Dynamic curves of SII were plotted, and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were drawn for each node to calculate the optimal critical value, sensitivity, and specificity to assess their predictive ability for in-hospital and out-of-hospital courses. Kaplan-Meier curves were used to analyze the differences in survival rates at different SII inflammation levels.
