This article presents announcements made by several organizations. The Vermont Sociological Association has been initiated by a group of sociologists associated with the State of Vermont. Weilman J. Warner, professor Emeritus at New York University, was elected the first president for the year 1970 to 1971. The Nebraska Confederation in Early Childhood Education brings together a variety of pre- and postdoctoral scholars and staff in programs scattered across the country and concerned with a variety of ethnic conclaves, socioeconomic groups and educational programs. The Committee on Sociological History, whose primary objective is to bring together sociologists and historians on a regular and informal basis, meets twice each year in New York City. Tulane School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine, Mental Health Section, announces a new Community Mental Health Specialists program for psychiatrist, psychologists, social workers, sociologists, psychiatric and public health nurses. The National Science Foundation is accepting applications for Graduate and Postdoctoral Fellowship awards in the Social Sciences.
