Abstract Background After natural disasters, the occurrence of mental health problems and adverse effects on reproductive health in women of reproductive age can be attributed to a multitude of factors, including the deterioration of health facilities, a shortage of qualified health professionals, a lack of socio-economic stability, and a paucity of familial and community support. Methods The descriptive correlational study was conducted through social networks with 405 women who had experienced the disaster of the century 8 months after (between November and December 2023) the earthquake. The snowball sampling method was used to obtain the research data. The questionnaire form, developed for the purpose of data collection, was disseminated to women who consented to participate in the study through social networks. The data were evaluated using a variety of statistical techniques, including number, percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent sample t-test, one-way analysis of variance, and structural equation modeling. Results According to the results of linear regression analysis, these were found to be predictors of the desire to avoid pregnancy: having housing problems (β-coefficient 0.173; p = .008), having a damaged home (β-coefficient. 276; p = .009), sleep patterns (β-coefficient 0.433; p = .022), eating habits (β-coefficients 0.248, 0.044), use of psychiatric medication (β-coefficient 0.436, p = .003), and problems related to the food and water supply (β-coefficient 0.127, p = .003). In addition, a structural equation model (SEM) was established to examine the relationship between these variables and mental well-being and pregnancy avoidance. Only the model constructed with mental well-being demonstrated significance in the SEM analysis. Conclusions This study shows that women’s mental health is negatively affected in unpredictable emergencies such as earthquakes and that poor mental health negatively affects pregnancy planning. The findings of the study may help to guide health professionals working in the field of women’s health to protect women’s mental health in emergency situations, to provide counseling about pregnancy planning, and to provide social and psychological support programs.

Tükenmişliğin alt boyutlarından olan duygusal tükenme ve duyarsızlaşma, işyerinde ve örgütsel psikolojide kötü ruh sağlığının önemli bir göstergesidir. Bu makalede, duygusal tükenmeye ve duyarsızlaşmaya yol açan öncüllerden zihinsel iş yükü ve presenteeisme odaklanılmaktadır. Araştırmada zihinsel iş yükünün duygusal tükenmeye ve duyarsızlaşmaya etki edeceği ve bu etkide presenteeismin aracılık rolü üstleneceği varsayılmıştır. Bu araştırmanın amacı muhasebe meslek mensuplarının yaşadığı zihinsel iş yükünün, presenteeismi, duygusal tükenmeyi ve duyarsızlaşmayı nasıl etkilediğini ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda Kayseri Serbest Muhasebeci Mali Müşavirler Odası’na kayıtlı 318 muhasebe meslek mensubuna anket uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS 24 ve IBM AMOS 24 programları ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sunucunda muhasebe meslek mensuplarının maruz kaldığı zihinsel iş yükünün nispeten yüksek olduğu ve zihinsel iş yükünün presenteeismi, duygusal tükenmeyi ve duyarsızlaşmayı artırdığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca presenteeismin, hem zihinsel iş yükü ile duygusal tükenme arasındaki ilişkiye hem de zihinsel iş yükü ile duyarsızlaşma arasındaki ilişkiye aracılık ettiği görülmüştür.

On 5.9.2023, flash floods occurred in Igneada town of Demirkoy district of Kırklareli province, which caused serious loss of life and property. Since this unfortunate event was a natural hazard with a hydro-meteorological characteristic, it occurred at the river basin scale. Therefore, the present study aims to systematically reveal the chain of events leading to the flash floods in the Degirmen River basin, where the natural hazard occurred. The study data were processed and interpreted in the light of the relevant literature within the framework of the findings obtained from office and field studies. At this stage, the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) method was used to determine how and why the event occurred and how to prevent similar problems from occurring again. As a result of the study, it was determined that flash floods caused by sudden torrential rains led to high-energy water flows on the slope lands depending on topographic features. Consequently, they forced the transportation of materials of various sizes. The materials coming from the river's upper basin with strong flash floods with irregularly changing flow rates triggered flooding in places where the slope of the river bed decreased. However, this natural event has become a natural hazard in the lower basin due to the wrong land use caused by the negative anthropogenic effects of human beings on the natural environment.

Objective: In this study, we investigated whether scoring systems determine COVID- 19 severity. Materials and Methods: COVID-19 patients hospitalized between 01.09.2020 and 31.04.2021 were retrospectively assessed. The National Early Warning Score (NEWS), Modified Early Warning Score (MEWS), Rapid Emergency Medicine Score (REMS), Quick Sequential Organ Failure Assessment Score (q-SOFA), CURB-65, MuLBSTA, and ISARIC 4C scores on admission day were calculated. Scoring systems’ ability to predict mechanical ventilation (MV) need, intensive care unit (ICU) admission, and 30-day mortality were assessed. Results: A total of 292 patients were included; 137 (46.9%) were female, and the mean age was 62.5±15.4 years. 69 (23.6%) patients required ICU admission, 45 (15.4%) needed MV, and 49 (16.8%) died within 30 days. No relationship was found between qSOFA and MV need (p=0.167), but a statistically significant relationship was found between other scoring systems and MV need, ICU admission, and 30-day mortality (p5.5) and NEWS (optimal cut-off >3.5) had the highest area under the curve in ROC curve analyses, whereas qSOFA had the lowest. Conclusion: The severity of COVID-19 could be estimated by using these scoring systems, especially ISARIC-4C and NEWS, at the first admission. Thus, mortality and morbidity would be reduced by making the necessary interventions earlier.

Abstract The multifunctional responsive interfaces of liquid crystal (LC) and water are employed in fundamental research (colloidal assembly) and promising applications (sensing, release, and material synthesis). The stagnant LC systems, however, limit their use in continuous, automated applications. A microfluidic platform is reported where stable LC flow is maintained between aqueous interfaces. The LC‐water soft interface is defined by the preferential wetting of the two phases at the chemically heterogeneous microchannel interfaces. It is shown that the LC‐water interfaces are stable up to significant pressure differences across the interfaces and maintain responsive characteristics. The stability is in a range to cover the perpendicular and flow‐aligned regimes at low and high flow velocities, respectively, in co‐current or counter‐current flow configurations. The LC configuration at the vicinity of the aqueous interfaces is influenced by the shear induced by the bulk LC flow and by the contacting aqueous phases allowing modulation of the LC strain at the responsive interfaces. The simplicity of the construction and operation of the soft‐interface LC flow platform shows promise and meets the fundamental requirements for their integration into next‐generation autonomous platforms.

Objective: This study was conducted to determine the impact of social media addiction on premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and sleep quality. Material-Method: The study population consisted of female students enrolled in the Health Sciences Faculty of a public university (n=884). Data were collected using the "Personal Information Form," "Social Media Addiction Scale (SMAS)," "Premenstrual Syndrome Scale (PMSS)," and "Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI)" instruments. Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation analysis and Linear Regression Analysis were used for statistical evaluation. Results: The mean age of the students was 20.40±1.65, and the mean age of menarche was 13.42±1.60. The mean total score for PMSS was 129.57±37.75, the mean total score for SMAS was 12.93±4.84, and the mean score for PSQI was 13.22±2.04. The correlation analysis revealed a positive relationship between SMAS and the total scores of PMSS and PSQI (r=.325, p=.000; r=271, p=.000). In addition, as a result of the regression analysis, a 1-unit change in the social media addiction scale score causes a positive increase of .325 units (β) on the total score of the premenstrual syndrome scale and a positive increase of 0.444 units (β) on the total score of the PSQI. Conclusion: Social media addiction was found to be an effective variable in increasing premenstrual syndrome symptoms and poor sleep quality.

Recently, it was discovered that lower-dimensional versions of Lovelock gravity exist as scalar-tensor theories that are examples of Horndeski gravity. We study the thermodynamics of the static black hole solutions in these theories up to cubic order through Euclidean methods. Considering solutions with spherical, planar and hyperbolic event horizons (k=+1,0,−1), we show that the universality of the thermodynamics for planar black holes (k=0) and the extended first law that include the variation of the couplings together with their associated potentials hold also in lower dimensions. We find that in D=4,6 where the 2nd- and the 3rd-order Lovelock Lagrangians are boundary terms respectively, the Smarr relation is modified since the entropy is not a homogenous function in these dimensions. We also present a derivation of the Smarr relation and its modified version based on the global scaling properties of the reduced action that is used to obtain the solutions consistently. Unlike the other hairy black hole solutions that have been analyzed before, despite the terms in the reduced action that break the scaling symmetry, the derivation still follows from a conserved Noether charge.

Nowadays, due to the developments in technology and the effects of the pandemic, people have largely switched to e-commerce instead of traditional face-to-face commerce. In this sector, the product variety reaches tens of thousands, which has made it difficult to manage and to make quick decisions on inventory, promotion, pricing, and logistics. Therefore, it is thought that obtaining accurate and fast forecasting for the future will provide significant benefits to such companies in every respect. This study was built on the proposal of creating a cluster-based–genetic algorithm hybrid forecasting model including genetic algorithm (GA), cluster analysis, and some forecasting models as a new approach. In this study, unlike the literature, an attempt was made to create a more successful forecasting model for many products at the same time inside of single product forecasting. The proposed CBGA model success was compared separately to both the single prediction method successes and only genetic algorithm-based hybrid model successes by using real values from a popular B2C company. As a result, it has been observed that the forecasting success of the model proposed in this study is more successful than the forecasting made using single models or only the genetic algorithm.

Objectives:This study was conducted to evaluate the moderator role of birth satisfaction in its correlation with mother-infant bonding and psychological resilience. Methods:This study was a cross-sectional study. The population of this study consisted of puerperal women who gave birth in a public hospital in Turkey. The sample size was calculated as at least 437 puerperal women and included 491 puerperal women in total. Personal Introduction Form, the Brief Resilience Scale (BRS), Mother to Infant Bonding Scale (MIBS), and Birth Satisfaction Scale–Short Form (BSS–Short) were used to collect data. Results:Mean age of puerperal women included in this study was 28.07±5.17. The mean BSS-Short total score was 20.35±6.07, the mean MIBS total score was 1.73±2.44, and the mean BRS total score was 19.18± 4.50. In this study, it was determined that the correlation between birth satisfaction and mother-infant bonding increased as the level of psychological resilience increased. In addition to this, the simple slope analysis revealed that the effect of psychological resilience on mother-infant bonding was not significant in cases where birth satisfaction was high(B=-0.22,p=0.10) and the effect of psychological resilience on mother-infant bonding was significant in cases where birth satisfaction was moderate(B=-0.44,p=0.001) and high(B=-.71,p=0.001). Conclusion:It was concluded that the strength of the correlation between psychological resilience and mother-infant binding increased in cases where birth satisfaction was high.

Bu çalışmada panel veri analizine dayalı olarak yükselen piyasa ekonomilerinde karbondioksit emisyonu, gelir eşitsizliği, ekonomik büyüme, enerji ve yenilenebilir enerji kullanımı arasındaki ilişki Çevresel Kuznets Eğrisi perspektifinden incelenmektedir. Çalışmada Borghesi’nin (2000) çalışmasından yararlanılarak 2000-2017 dönemi için yükselen piyasa ekonomilerinde, Çevresel Kuznets Eğrisi hipotezi ve eşitsizlik ölçüsü olarak GINI katsayısının, enerji ve yenilenebilir enerji kullanımının karbondioksit emisyonu üzerindeki etkisi panel regresyon modelleri ile tahmin edilmektedir. Çalışmanın ekonometrik analiz sonuçlarına göre; yükselen piyasa ekonomilerinde Çevresel Kuznets Eğrisi hipotezinin geçerli olduğu, dolayısıyla çevre bozulması ve ekonomik büyüme arasında ters-U ilişkisinin bulunduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ek olarak yükselen piyasa ekonomilerinde gelir eşitsizliğindeki artış karbon emisyonunda azalışa neden olmaktadır. Elde edilen bulgular, farklı farklı yöntemler uygulanan literatürdeki diğer bulguları ile benzerlik göstermektedir. Bu bağlamda politika yapıcıların refahı arttırıcı politikalar yanında, sürdürülebilir bir ekonomik büyümenin sağlanması için çevrenin üzerindeki baskıyı azaltıcı politikalar uygulamaları ve yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarına yönelmeleri önemlilik arz etmektedir.

The evaluation of wooden toys is a complicated process and can be overwhelming for decisionmakers in the presence of many conflicting criteria. Hence, this study proposes a fuzzy decision-making model to identify and prioritize the key attributes of wooden toys. For this purpose, the interval-valued spherical fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (AHP), which is one of the fuzzy multicriteria decision-making methods, is applied to obtain weight vectors. Firstly, the wooden toy evaluation problem is formulated as a multicriteria decision-making problem. Then five main criteria and twenty subcriteria are defined with the help of experts. The decision-making team carries out the pairwise comparisons of the criteria. As a result, the priority weights are computed and the ranking order of the criteria is revealed. Additionally, the validity of the obtained results is supported by conducting a comparative analysis between other popular fuzzy methods: interval type-2 fuzzy AHP, interval-valued Pythagorean fuzzy AHP, and spherical fuzzy AHP. According to the modeling results, the most important criteria are “absence of small parts and sharp edges”, “free of harmful wood preservatives and paints”, “workmanship quality”, “contribution to psychomotor development”, and “contribution to cognitive development”. The proposed framework can be adapted to similar decision processes for the evaluation or improvement of toys. Consequently, the findings of this research will help manufacturers, designers, and consumers in making conscious decisions.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’deki devlet üniversitelerinin lisans programlarında yer alan denetim dersi müfredatı kapsamında bulunan temel bilgilerin, haftalık içeriklerin, dersi öğretme ile ölçme ve değerlendirme yöntemlerinin ve dersin öğrenme çıktılarının belirlenerek analiz edilmesidir. Çalışma kapsamında ihtiyaç duyulan veriler, 90 devlet üniversitesinin 132 programının Bologna ders bilgi paketinden elde edilerek, frekans analizi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonuçlarına göre, denetim dersinin üniversite müfredatlarında genellikle 3 kredi/5 AKTS şeklinde ve seçmeli ders olarak yer aldığı belirlenmiştir. Dersin yürütülmesi sırasında en fazla öğretim üyesi anlatımı (takrir) yönteminin kullanıldığı; gözlem, beyin fırtınası ile bilgisayarla veri analizi yöntemlerinin dersin öğretilmesi sırasında en az kullanılan yöntemler olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Denetim dersinin içeriği konusunda yapılan müfredat incelemeleri sonucu, bu dersin haftalık konu içeriklerinde temel düzeyde denetim konularının yer aldığı ve denetim süreçlerinde bilgi teknolojilerinin kullanımına yeterince yer verilmediği ortaya konulmuştur. Ders içeriklerinde ve öğretme yöntemlerinde bilgi teknolojilerine yönelik öğretme yöntemlerinin yeterince kullanılmamasına rağmen, üniversiteler tarafından dersin öğrenme çıktıları genellikle uygulamaya dönük olarak belirlenmiştir. Bu durum, dersin öğretiminde daha çok anlatım(takrir) yönteminin kullanılması, uygulamalı veri analizi ile veri analitiği gibi uygulamalar ile bu dersin içeriğinin desteklenmediği programlarda gerçeği çok yansıtmamaktadır.

INTRODUCTION: Diabetic neuropathy is a complication seen in diabetic patients and involves motor, sensory or autonomic nerve fibers due to minor vessel damage. This study was planned to determine the knowledge and awareness levels of physicians working in family health centers about diabetic neuropathy and their approach to diabetic neuropathy. METHODS: Our study is a cross-sectional descriptive study conducted in 111 family health centers. Two hundred seventy-nine physicians were included in the study, and 219 physicians (78.49%) agreed to participate in the study. The researchers created the questionnaire form by conducting a literature review. The data were obtained by survey method under supervision. RESULTS: Of the 219 people participating in the study, 70.78% (n = 155) were male and 6.85% (n = 15) were family medicine specialists. 94.06% of the participants (n=206) gave the optimal glycemic control response as the most effective method to prevent diabetic neuropathy and delay its progression. 74.42% of the participants (n = 163) stated that they did not use any diabetic neuropathy diagnosis and screening tests in their daily practice. 31% (n = 68) of the participants stated that their level of knowledge of diabetic neuropathy was either poor or very poor. 89.49% (n = 196) of the participants stated that they needed training on diabetic neuropathy. Those who rely on their knowledge and clinical experience in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating diabetic neuropathy were 44.29% of the participants (n = 97). DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION: As a result, although the rate of those who correctly knew the primary and secondary prevention of diabetic neuropathy was found to be high among the physicians participating in our study, it was determined that the diabetic neuropathy knowledge level of the participating physicians was insufficient. Simple tests and methods for physicians working in primary care should be included in the daily polyclinic routine.

One of the most important discoveries in the field of deep learning in recent years is the Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN). It offers great convenience and flexibility for image-to-image conversion processes. This study aims to obtain thermal images from visible band colour images by using Pix2Pix Network, which is a Conditionally Generative Adversarial Network (cGAN). For this purpose, a data set has been prepared by taking facial images at different angles in the visible and infrared bands. By applying image processing methods on this created dataset, pixel-by-pixel matching process was performed. Synthetic thermal face images were obtained thanks to this learning network fed with facial images consisting of visible and long wavelength infrared image (LWIR) pairs. In the generator and discriminator deep networks of the Pix2Pix GAN, Batch Normalization and Instance Normalization methods are applied and their effects on the outputs are examined. The same process has also been tested on the Google Maps dataset and thus its effects on different datasets has been demonstrated. Similarity values between synthetic outputs and real images of both studies has been calculated with several image quality metrics. The performance of this generated model in creating the details in the infrared band is also given in the conclusion section.

Objective: This randomized controlled trial investigated the effect of emotional freedom techniques (EFT) on the severity of nausea-vomiting and anxiety in early pregnancy. Design: The sample consisted of 131 pregnant women in the experimental and control groups between 6 and 16 weeks of pregnancy attending an antenatal clinic. Participants were randomly assigned to receive training on EFT or a control group. Data were collected using a personal information form, subjective experiences, the Pregnancy-Related Anxiety Questionnaire, and the Pregnancy-Unique Quantification of Emesis. Both groups attended two visits, a week apart. The participants in the EFT group received a session of EFT at each visit and completed two EFT sessions as home assignments, 2 and 4 days after the first visit. The participants in the control group attended two visits a week apart and completed assessments but did not receive EFT. Results: There were 55 women in each group who completed the study, and the groups were similar in terms of baseline measures, including socioeconomic status, smoking status, previous pregnancy, severity of nausea-vomiting, and total pregnancy-related anxiety. EFT significantly reduced anxiety levels from the baseline to the second session (fear of delivery, worries about bearing a handicapped child, concern about one's own appearance) and total pregnancy-related anxiety (total pretest 29.85 ± 9.87, post-test 20.67 ± 8.38; p < 0.001), while the control group showed no reduction in pregnancy-related anxiety (total pretest 26.1 ± 7.79, post-test 25.98 ± 8.49; p = 0.933). Although nausea-vomiting was reduced in both groups over the two-session period, at the end of treatment, the EFT group had significantly lower nausea intensity (EFT group 4.4 ± 1.81, control group 5.36 ± 2.48; p = 0.02). Conclusions: EFT is a nonpharmacologic intervention that can be effective in reducing nausea, vomiting, and anxiety in early pregnancy. Aim: This research was conducted to determine the effect of personality traits of postpartum women on pain perception and maternal self-confidence. Material and methods: The population of this study, which was designed as a descriptive cross-sectional study, was determined as 202 with a confidence interval of 0.95 and a power of 0.95 to represent the universe, according to the power analysis. The study was completed with 258 puerperant women. Data were collected with the "Personal Description Form", "Ten-Item Personality Scale (TIPS)", “Visual Analog Scale (VAS)” and "Pharis Self-Confidence Scale (PSCS)". In the statistical evaluation, descriptive statistics (percentage, mean, standard deviation), Pearson's correlation and multiple linear regression analysis were used. Results: According to VAS, 25.2% of the participants had severe pain in the legs, 27.1 % in the abdomen, 46.4% in the waist, 17.4% in the chest, 30.3% in the head, 9.4% in the knee, 25.5% in the hips and 43% in the perineum region. The total mean score of the PSCS was 43.72±11.8. It was found that there was a significant correlation between TIPS sub-dimensions and pain regions and total PSCS score averages (p Conclusions: It has been determined that personality traits have an effect on pain perception and maternal self-confidence. In line with the results obtained, midwifery interventions should be planned to reduce the perception of pain and increase maternal self-confidence.

Europe aims to reduce such emissions and reach a state of carbon neutrality by 2030 and 2050, respectively. This is feasible only if electric vehicles dominate the transportation sector. Paving the way for electric vehicle deployment on roads is subject to the provision of electric-vehicle-charging stations on the roads such that sufficiently good driving experience without any obstacles can be achieved. To address this timely societal challenge, we proposed a novel methodology by using the well-known facility-location-allocation methodology named set-covering location models with statistical machine learning and developed it for the problem settings of identifying electric-vehicle-charging station locations. Statistical machine learning was employed in the proposed model to more precisely identify and determine feasible coverage sets. We demonstrated the efficiency of the proposed model for the Capital Region of Denmark, where the green transition is part of the political agenda and is of severe societal concern, by using the newly collected main road transportation dataset.

Objective:General anesthesia management in coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABGC) should preserve myocardial function, prevent ischemic damage, and maintain stable hemodynamics. There is not a universally accepted technique for anesthetic management during CABGC. Drugs or drug combinations and maintenance of infusions are decided based on the pathophysiological condition of the patient and the individual preference and experience of the anesthesiologist (1). Although there are many studies about an anesthesia induction in CABGC, studies about anesthetic maintenance are very limited. In this study, we compared the hemodynamic effects of three different methods that were used in anesthetic maintenance in CABGC.Method:The retrospective records of 108 patients in ASA II-III group who underwent elective CABGC were divided into 3 groups according to their anesthetic maintenance methods. Group I was maintained with 1-3% sevoflurane and fentanyl 4 mcg/kg/hour infusion, group II with propofol 1.5-4 mg/kg/hour and fentanyl 4 mcg/kg/hour infusion, and group III with propofol 1.5-4 mg/kg/hour and remifentanil infusion of 0.03 mg/kg/hour. Systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, mean arterial pressure (MAP) and heart rate (HR) were measured and recorded after induction (T0), after sternotomy (T1), after pericardiotomy (T2), 5 minutes after cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) (T3), after thorax closure (T4), at the end of the operation (T5). The vasodilator requirements in the time period before CBP and the inotropic agent requirements after CPB were noted.Results:Data of 108 patients (88 men/20 women) were analyzed. Demographic characteristics of the patients were similar in all the groups. Statistical analysis was made among the groups depending on coronary artery bypass graft number, cross-clamp time, total fluid administration, total blood transfusion, total urine volume, inotropic agent requirement after CPB, postoperative central venous pressure, and pre- and postoperative lactate levels; however, there was no statistical difference. There was not change more than 20-25% in MAP and HR in group I than the others.Conclusion:Better hemodynamic results were achived with sevoflurane and fentanyl in the anesthetic maintenance of CABGC.

Painless legs and moving toes (PoLMT) is a rare variant of painful legs and moving toes (PLMT). The difference is the absence of pain, which is usually hard to manage in PLMT. An involuntary movement in the toes is a compound of both. Although there are many medication options for this disease, most fail to treat it successfully. Here, we report on a 62-year-old female with involuntary movements in her toes for five years. The rarity and unclear etiology of the disease are the reasons we wanted to present it.

Dünyada ve Türkiye’de yaşanan depremlerden elde edilen tecrübeler, deprem mühendisliği alanındaki gelişmeler, yeni yapım yöntemlerinin ve sistemlerinin Türkiye koşullarında kullanılması için gerekli kurallara olan ihtiyaçlar sonucu Deprem Bölgelerinde Yapılacak Binalar Hakkında Yönetmelik 2007 (DBYBHY 2007)’in kapsamı genişletilerek ve yeni bazı bölümler eklenerek, Türkiye Bina Deprem Yönetmeliği 2019 (TBDY 2019), 01.01.2019 tarihinde yürürlüğe girmiştir.Bu çalışmada Kırklareli Merkezi ve İlçeleri için TBDY 2019 ile DBYBHY 2007 esaslarına göre tasarlanıp, deprem hesabı yapılan örnek betonarme bina modellerinin deprem yükleri değerlendirilmiştir. Bu amaçla çalışmada, Kırklareli Merkezi ve İlçeleri için DBYBHY 2007 ve TBDY 2019’da tanımlanan betonarme çerçeve ve betonarme perdeli çerçeve bina türleri için örnek bina modellerinin tasarımı yapılarak, deprem yükleri hesaplanmıştır. TBDY 2019’a göre deprem hesapları ZA, ZB, ZC, ZD ve ZE yerel zemin sınıfları için, DBYBHY 2007’e göre deprem hesapları Z1, Z2, Z3 ve Z4 yerel zemin sınıfları için ayrı ayrı yapılmıştır.Örnek betonarme bina modellerinin farklı yerel zemin sınıfları için yapılan deprem hesabı sonucu bulunan deprem yükleri karşılaştırılarak, deprem yüklerinin yerel zemin sınıfına ve her iki deprem yönetmeliğine göre değişimi irdelenmiştir. TBDY 2019’a göre örnek betonarme bina modelleri için hesaplanan deprem yüklerinin, her iki bina türünde de DBYBHY 2007’e göre artış gösterdiği görülmüştür.

Internal and external company information users (owners, managers, partners, credit institutions and organizations, investors, employees, etc.) use many tools to make the right decisions about the company. One of the tools in question is the DuPont Analysis technique, which is included in ratio analysis among financial analysis techniques. DuPont Analysis is an important analysis technique in evaluating the financial performance of companies. Because DuPont analysis offers companies the reasons why return on equity is low or high. As a result of literature research, there are many studies examining the financial performances of companies and sectors with DuPont analysis. It has been determined that the studies in question were carried out on the transportation, health, cement, food, beverage and tobacco, technology, manufacturing, finance, stationery, agriculture, tourism and real estate investment partnership sectors. However, during the literature review, the fact that no study was found that comprehensively examined BIST annual data regarding the transportation and storage sector and that it fills the gap in this field reveals the importance of the study. In this context, the purpose of this study is to examine the financial performances of companies operating in the BIST transportation and storage sector with DuPont Analysis and to contribute to the companies on the measures and improvement policies that should be taken for the future by evaluating the results obtained for the sector. It also helps both internal and external information users make accurate decisions about companies. For this purpose, data of 9 companies operating in the Borsa Istanbul (BIST) Transportation and Storage Sector between 2018 and 2022 were examined. Company-specific data was obtained from the Public Disclosure Platform and the reports on the companies' websites. The data obtained in the study were evaluated using the DuPont Analysis method. In this context, it has been determined that 2022 is the best year in terms of financial performance for the transportation and storage sector. Return on equity is one of the measures of how much profit the company's partners make in return for the capital they put in, that is, how many units of profit are created for each unit of capital. Therefore, it shows that the company earns more profit with less capital. However, with the measures and restrictions taken as a result of the Covid-19 epidemic, which occurred in 2020 and was declared a pandemic all over the world, it was found that the equity profitability of companies, especially those engaged in air transportation, was negative, in other words, they made a loss that year.
