Background Diphtheria cases continue to be reported in Indonesia, which has long been one of the countries with the highest number of diphtheria cases worldwide. One of Indonesia's province with the highest annual diphtheria cases is West Java. Dr. Hasan Sadikin General Hospital (RSHS) is one of the tertiary referral hospitals in Bandung, West Java, that treats several diphtheria cases annually. No study focused on the clinical characteristics of diphtheria cases in children admitted to RSHS between 2017 and 2021 yet. Therefore, this study sought to analyze that. Objective To find out the profiles of children =18-year-old with diphtheria admitted in RSHS between 2017-2021. Methods This descriptive, cross-sectional study reviewed the medical records of diphtheria patients 0 to 18-year-old who were admitted to RSHS between year 2017 and 2021. Results Out of 45 subjects, 76% were males. The median of age was eight years old, ranging from 2 to 17 years. Most patients lived in urban areas and had normal anthropometry status, although some showed abnormal findings. The data showed that 44% had more than 3 days of onset until admission to the hospital, and the median length of stay was 9 days. The clinical characteristics showed that 91% of patients had pseudomembrane, also present with cough, common cold, hoarseness, stridor, and bull's neck. As many as 44% of patients did not have complete basic immunization status. Complications found were airway obstructions, myocarditis, and sepsis, and 2 deaths were reported. Conclusion Pseudomembrane was found in the majority of patients. Most patients were over five years of age, and almost half number of the patients did not have complete basic immunization status, indicating the need for improved immunization and booster coverage. Introduction: Emotion dysregulation is a transdiagnostic marker for vulnerability and has high comorbidity rates across various range of disorders among adolescents and young adults, highlighting the crucial need for precise assessment tools to recognize its significant impact on well-being. The Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale Short Form (DERS-SF) is a comprehensive instrument designed to measure the ability to regulate emotion. This study aimed to investigate the psychometric properties of DERS- SF among the non-clinical population, particularly high school and university students in Indonesia. Methods: A total of 738 senior high school and university students completed the Indonesian version of DERS-SF and standard questionnaires to assess its validity, consisting of the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS), the Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II) foryoung adults and the Children Depression Inventory (CDI) for adolescents. Three models were examined in factorial validity tests using confirmatory factor analysis. Results: The results showed that DERS-SF had an overall good internal consistency with Cronbach's alpha coefficient of .89 for the 18-item version, .90 for the 17-item version, and .91 for the 15-item version. Test-retest reliability was moderate with a value of .67. In addition, it had good satisfactory content as shown by item content validity index (I-CVI) = .96 and scale content validity index (S-CVI) = .83, as well as convergent validity. All subscales scores showed a positive and strong correlation with DASS, BDI-II, and CDI except awareness. Based on confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), the correlated 6-factor model excluding item number 6, and the 5-factor model excluding awareness were suitable to use in non-clinical populations. Conclusion: This study established the removal of the awareness subscale in the DERS-SF Indonesian version, resulting in better reliability and validity than the original version with complete subscales. Indonesia is at high risk of disasters. Therefore, nursing is expected to play a role in disaster risk reductions in communities. This study aimed to implement the Disaster Preparedness Training Integration Model based on Public Health Nursing (ILATGANA-PHN) to increase the Capacity of community in natural disaster-prone areas by assessing the preparedness level of families and communities in disaster-prone areas. The research method was developed in two stages, including the model preparation stage and the model implementation stage. This research was in the 2nd stage, namely the model impelementation stage. The research design, at the model implementation stage, used the one-sample pre-post test without control group design. The respondents were assessed before and after the ILATGANA-PHN training intervention. The sample size was calculated using the sample size calculation formula for the experimental research design without controls. The samples of the study were 78 people. The result of the research described the ILATGANA-PHN training concepts, including the instrument, curriculum, process, module, and maintenance patterns for the training process. The intervention had a significant effect on increasing the independent preparedness of the people in Kendeng Community, Sugih Mukti Village (ƿ 0.000 ≤ 0.005) in terms of four preparedness parameters, namely knowledge and attitudes about disasters (KA), disaster preparedness plans (PE), disaster warnings (WS), and resource mobilization community (RMC). Nurses have the opportunity to take responsibilities for empowering the community capacity in the disaster area through the implementation of ILATGANA-PHN training. The integrated training model for disaster preparedness based on Public Health Nursing (ILATGANA-PHN) is effective in increasing the community capacity, especially in disaster managements, in disaster-prone areas. Introduction: The Stigma Affiliation Scale (ASS) is an instrument to assess affiliation stigma used widely worldwide. This study aims to adapt the ASS to the Indonesian language and to evaluate the psychometric properties of the ASS among family caregivers of people with schizophrenia in Indonesia. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted of 94 schizophrenia patients' family caregivers in communities, i.e., an items analysis, construct validity using the known-group method, and internal consistency reliability. Results: The consistency between items and overall scores using Pearson product-moment correlation shows that all the items had Pearson's coefficient correlation ≥ 0.300, indicating good and acceptable discriminant power. The construct validity using the Mann–Whitney U test comparing the ASS scores between the primary caregivers and other family members of schizophrenic patients showed higher scores in the primary caregivers than the other family members in the three domains (p < 0.0001), indicating excellent construct validity. Cronbach's alpha was 0.80–0.89 and above 0.90, which indicate good and excellent reliability, respectively. Introduction: Suicide is one of the leading cause of mortality among adolescents and young adults, especially in low to middle-income countries. Research found that screening for suicidal ideation in non-clinical populations such as schools or communities is an important step toward preventing suicide. Despite so, not all screening tools have the capabilities to accurately detect suicidal ideation among adolescents and young adults in non-clinical populations. The Suicidal Ideation Scale (SIS) is one of the most used questionnaires to measure suicidal thoughts in non-clinical populations. This study aims to investigate the psychometric properties of SIS among adolescents and young adults in Indonesia, especially in non-clinical populations. Methods: After a series of language and cultural adaptations, 1254 senior high school and university students completed the Indonesian version of SIS using 3 standard questionnaires, namely Patient Health Questionnaire-9/PHQ-9, Beck Depression Inventory-II/BDI-II, and Children's Depression Inventory/CDI. The SIS content validity, internal consistency, test-retest reliability and concurrent, as well as internal structure validity, were investigated using content validity index (CVI), Cronbach's Alpha, Pearson product-moment correlation, and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), respectively. Results: The result showed that SIS has good to excellent internal consistency and test-retest reliability. Based on the validity indicators, it has satisfactory content and convergent validity, and further support the one-factor and 2-factor model for factorial validity. Both one-factor and 2 factor model are suitable to use in non-clinical settings. Conclusions: SIS is a valid and reliable tool for suicide ideation screening in adolescents and young adults in non-clinical populations. This validated questionnaire can be used in the early detection of suicidal ideation among adolescents and young adults in non-clinical populations, thus contributing to developing strategies and policies to prevent suicide among Indonesian adolescents and young adults at group and institutional levels. Suicide remains one of the leading causes of death among youths and the commonly reported associated risk factor is interpersonal needs, which consists of perceived burdensomeness and thwarted belongingness. To date, there is no validated interpersonal needs questionnaire in Indonesia. Therefore, this research aims to validate and evaluate the psychometric properties of the Interpersonal Needs Questionnaire (INQ-15) among adolescents and young adults in the Indonesian language. Based on the results, the INQ-15 has high internal consistency and test-retest reliability. It was also found to have satisfactory content and concurrent validity, as well as support two factor model of factorial validity. This implies that The Indonesian version of the INQ-15 is a valid and reliable questionnaire to measure the interpersonal needs among adolescents and young adults, both in clinical and research applications. The objectives of this study were to investigate the prevalence and the characteristics of pressure ulcers (PU) in community‐dwelling older adults in Indonesia, including specific characteristics of the PU patients and their use of formal and informal care. A cross‐sectional design was used for the study, with 325 participants aged 60 years or older, randomly chosen from the general community. The overall PU prevalence and the PU prevalence excluding category 1 were 10.8% (95% confidence interval [CI], 5.8‐15.8) and 5.2% (95% CI 0.2‐10.2), respectively. Category 1 PUs were mostly (34.3%) located on knees and toes, while category 2 and higher PUs were mostly (70.4%) located on the shoulder, sacrum, and hip. The main factors that contributed strongly to PUs among older adults in the community were the degree of physical activity, problems with sensory perception, and having a history of stroke. None of the participants with a PU received wound care or information about PUs from formal caregivers and only 11.4% received wound care from family caregivers. This study shows that pressure ulcers in community‐dwelling older adults in Indonesia are a relevant and largely unaddressed problem.
