By virtue of the variational approach, we show the existence of nontrivial ground-state solutions depending on the parameters involved. Precisely, the aforementioned system admits a positive ground-state solution if p>3p\gt 3 and b>0b\gt 0 large enough or if p∈(2,3]p\in \left(2,3] and b>0b\gt 0 small.

Chalcogenide composites, a category of non-oxide glasses, have shown great potential in various applications such as optoelectronics, thermal imaging, memory-switching devices, lasers, and more. Owing to the distinctive physical properties inherent in chalcogenide glasses, these materials have garnered significant interest across various technological domains. This study aims to analyze the impact of incorporating sulfur (S) and antimony (Sb) into (S3Sb2)x(S2Ge)100−x:x = 10, 20, 30 chalcogenide composites, assessing their radiation shielding, structural, physical, and electrical properties. Three distinct composites, designated as SSbGe-10, SSbGe-20, and SSbGe-30, are irradiated with gamma photons across an energy range of 0 to 15 MeV. The assessment of the radiation shielding attributes is conducted through the utilization of the FLUKA Monte Carlo (MC) Code. Phillips and Thorpe's theory is employed to analytically estimate structural and physical attributes such as Coordination Number (CN), bond-bending constraints (NS), bond-stretching constraints (NC), constraints Number (Ncons), Floppy mode (F), and stoichiometry (R). The electrical features of the provided specimens are analyzed through the utilization of the effective electron conductivity (Ceff), as ascertained by the Phy-X: PSD software. The findings indicate that the augmentation of the x value within the range of 10–30 wt.% positively augments the gamma photon shielding efficacy of the composite materials. Both NS and NC demonstrate diminishing patterns, encompassing the range of 2.64 to 2.575 and 7.56 to 7.30, respectively. Additionally, the stoichiometry (R > 1) for the investigated samples indicates that the chosen glasses are rich chalcogenide composites. The exhaustive examination of the physical, radiation shielding, and electrical characteristics of the prepared chalcogenide glasses provides valuable insights for subsequent investigations into various chalcogenide glass formulations. This paper presents a comprehensive examination of the thermoluminescence properties of BaMgAl10O17: Ce (BAM: Ce) phosphors, which were synthesized via the combustion method. The study employs five distinct approaches to determine the kinetic parameters for individual traps. To investigate the structural, morphological, and elemental composition of the samples, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy were utilized. The photoluminescence spectra revealed a broad emission centered around 420 nm upon 330 nm excitation. By subjecting the phosphors to γ doses ranging from 5 to 5 kGy and conducting TL glow curve analysis, the kinetic characteristics of the BAM: Ce phosphors were determined. The linear dose–response was observed for 5–50 Gy, indicating a high sensitivity value. Additionally, there is a consistent estimation of trap energy across various methods. It is also worth noting that the phosphor exhibits a very low minimum detectable dose, estimated to be in the microgray range, making BAM: Ce a strong candidate for low gamma dosimetry applications. In this research, we analyzed the impact that the optical characteristics of dielectric surface passivation and antireflection coating schemes have on the performance of passivated emitter and rear cell (PERC) silicon solar cells. We employed wafer ray tracer (WRT) and automate for simulation of heterostructure (AFORS‐HET) simulations, as well as experimental characterization of fabricated thin film coatings. We investigated three distinct front surface morphologies: planar surface, upright pyramids, and inverted pyramids. Using WRT, we calculated the photogeneration current densities (JG) for PERC devices with three schemes: (i) SiNx/AlOx as antireflection coating and passivation stacks on both the front and rear sides, (ii) SiNx antireflection coating on the front side and AlOx passivation layer on the rear side, and (iii) SiNx/AlOx as antireflection coating and passivation stacks on the front side with an AlOx passivation layer on the rear side. Following simulation with optimal JG, two schemes are experimentally evaluated: PECVD SiNx (70 nm) and atomic layer deposition (ALD) AlOx (15 and 25 nm). We confirmed the growth effects and optical properties using X‐ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, effective lifetime, and refractive index measurements. The most favorable electrical properties were obtained with SiNx (70 nm, front) and AlOx (25 nm, front and rear), where the AlOx can be deposited via ALD bifacially on a single step, minimizing processing while maintaining passivation performance. Finally, we used AFORS‐HET to simulate the maximum performance of PERC bearing such films. The results showed a Voc = 0.688 V, Jsc = 41.42 mA/cm2, FF = 84%, and packing conversion efficiency (PCE) = 24.12% as the optimal solar cell performance values. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Cerium-doped Ca2Al2SiO7 phosphors were synthesized via the combustion technique and annealed at 1073 K, 1173 K, and 1373 K. X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), photoluminescence (PL), and thermoluminescence (TL) studies were performed to explore the variation of structural, morphological, luminescence, and TL properties with annealing temperature. The XRD plot showed an increase in crystallinity with an increase in annealing temperature. Similarly, the enhancement of PL intensity with an increase in annealing temperature supports the increased crystallinity of the phosphor samples. Detailed analysis of traps and trap parameters was carried out using the principle of TL. Samples were irradiated with different γ-ray doses, and, on heating, luminescence was observed. Thus, TL glow curves were drawn and deconvoluted using computerized glow curve deconvolution (CGCD) and Chen's peak shape method to study the traps and trap parameters. With increasing annealing temperature, an increase in TL intensity was observed. Regardless of annealing temperature, every sample displayed a linear dose–response for doses ranging from 3 Gy to 500 Gy. A prime series of Sm3+-doped alumino borophospho-silicate (xABPS) glasses were fabricated while varying the samarium ion concentration by employing the traditional melt-quenching method. XRD and FTIR characterizations were made for the structural investigation of the present glasses and the physical properties were calculated and reported. The high compactness and bonding nature of the xABPS glass system are explained through parameters such as boron–boron spacing, oxygen packing density, and the metallization criterion. The calculated mechanical properties illustrate the packing efficiency of the studied glasses. The absorption spectra exhibited several peaks in the UV–Vis-NIR region and following Tauc's plot method, the direct and indirect band gap for the glasses are determined and discussed. Various photon interaction parameters were calculated using the Phy-X program in a selected energy range. The obtained results of the studied glasses' mass attenuation coefficient (MAC), mean free path (MFP), and half-value layer (HVL) are compared with the reported data, whereby the increasing value of MAC, and the decreasing values of MFP and HVL confirm that the discussed glasses are suitable for radiation-shielding purposes. The blocking effect of 222Rn gas and its progeny by various face masks has been determined using a measurement system with a parallel AlphaGUARD detector. The theoretical approach of diffusion rate for different particle sizes was calculated. The filtering effect of the different masks followed the order N99 > surgical > N95 > double cloth > double cellulose > cloth > cellulose masks, respectively. Overall the blocking effect percentage ranged between 7.65 and 22.66%. The study indicated that the effect of a mask with high quality in filtering the gas of 222Rn and its decay products is more than the double-layer masks. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Conventional lead halides perovskites have attracted much attention to become a next‐generation solar technology. Besides their low cost and excellent efficiency, high toxic nature and device instability become the major issue to limit their wide applications. Ti‐based (Cs2TiI6) double halide perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have emerged as a potential candidate to become the best alternate. However, poor device efficiency is still a restriction. Therefore, proper optimization and deep device analysis are needed to explore the full potential of Cs2TiI6‐based PSCs. In the present research work, the open‐circuit voltage (Voc), current density (Jsc), fill factor (FF), and power conversion efficiency of Cs2TiI6‐based PSC are successfully optimized. The device optimization is performed using the different combinations of electron transport layers and hole transport layers along with absorber thickness, acceptor doping density, and interface defect density. The effect of Rseries and Rshunt is explored and identified the best device efficiency of 28.07% along with other photovoltaic (PV) parameters; Voc = 1.41 V, Jsc = 22.44 mA cm−2, and FF = 88.15%, respectively. The supportive analysis of C–V and Mott–Schottky characteristics helps to get deep insight into the device's performance. In the interest of obtaining new polyester, heavy metal oxides PbCO3, Bi2O3, and CdO with numerous ratios have been added to the polyester resin. Five samples of labeled PR-1, PR-2, PR-3, PR-4, and PR-5 were prepared for this study. The values of linear attenuation coefficients (LAC) of the new polyester samples were measured using an HPGe detector. In the interest of ensuring the experimental setup, the value of LAC obtained from the HPGe detector as well as the value of LAC calculated using Phy-X software, have both been placed in one graph, which revealed a consistent result. The experimental value of those new polyester samples has been measured within the energy region 0.06–1.332 MeV, whereas the theoretical values have been calculated within the energy limit of 0.015–15 MeV. The results of all the new polyester samples showed an uplifting trend according to the rising energy at 0.06, 0.66, 1.17, and 1.33 MeV. At energy 0.06 MeV, sample PR-5 (ρ = 2.180 g/cm3) showed the lowest half value layer (HVL) among the polyester samples. This result is due to the addition of Bi2O3 and CdO into the samples' composition, increasing their density and enhancing the polyester's reduction ability. Considering the measured shielding parameters studied herein, it has been found that sample PR-5 (50 wt% Polymer resin, 25 wt% Bi2O3, 25 wt% CdO) had the highest shielding ability compared with the rest of the polyester samples.
