Effective schemes are proposed for the generation of bipartite Bell states and theoretically scaling up to arbitrary multiparticle Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger, cluster, and W states among quantum-dot (QD) spins. They are realized based on the interaction between an single incident photon and single QD spin. Errors from system nonuniformity and defective photon scattering are transformed into detectable photon losses. In the event of a failed experiment, the system allows for the reinjection of a single photon and the reinitiation of the quantum circuit, until a successful outcome is achieved. This loss-prediction and experiment-repeatability approach ensures that the schemes are implemented with uniform and robust fidelity. Compared with the previous methods, these schemes significantly simplify experimental procedures and analysis processes. Furthermore, upon successful execution of the experiment, the use of single-photon detector can faithfully differentiate between various types of entangled states, depending on the initial states of the QD spins. Abstract Increased heart rate (HR) is a reaction to head-to-toe gravito-inertial (G) force. The anti-G straining manoeuvre (AGSM) is the crucial technique for withstanding a high-G load. Previous studies reported the main effects of HR only or AGSM only on G tolerance. We assessed the combined effect of HR and AGSM on the outcome of 9G profile exposure. A total of 530 attempts for the 9G profile were extracted to clarify the association of interest. Subjects with an AGSM effectiveness of less than 2.5G had a 2.14-fold higher likelihood of failing in the 9G profile. Trainees with HR increases of less than 20% in the first five seconds also had higher odds of 9G profile intolerance (adjusted OR 1.83, 95% CI 1.09–3.07). The adjusted OR of 9G profile disqualification was 2.93 (95% CI 1.19–7.20) for participants with smaller HR increases and lower AGSM effectiveness. The negative effect of a smaller HR increase on the outcome was likely to be affected by improved AGSM effectiveness (adjusted OR 1.26, 95% CI 0.65–2.42). We speculate that low AGSM effectiveness and a small HR increase were separately associated with failure of high-G challenge. Nonetheless, good AGSM performance seemed to reduce the negative effect of weak HR responses on the dependent variable.

Background: Sharp esophageal foreign body (SEFB) impaction can cause varying degrees of damage to the esophagus. There are few studies analyzing the postoperative fasting time in SEFB patients. Methods: We retrospectively collected 835 SEFB patients. According to the fasting time after the endoscopic removal (ER) of SEFBs, the patients were divided into two groups: short fasting time (SFT, fasted ≤ 24 h) and long fasting time (LFT, fasted > 24 h). Results: There were 216 and 619 patients in the SFT and LFT group, respectively. The average age of the SFT group (52.97 years) was younger than that of the LFT group (55.96 years) (p = 0.025). The LFT group had lower proportion of duration of impaction (DOI) within 12 hours (14.2% vs 22.2%, p = 0.006) and erosion rates (89.0% vs 94.0%, p = 0.034) as well as higher proportion of esophageal perforation (19.5 vs 6.5%, p = 0.010) and patients who got intravenous anesthesia (63.78% vs 31.9%, p = 0.000) than the SFT group. The longest diameter of the foreign body (Lmax) in the LFT group (2.60 ± 1.01 cm) was greater than that in the SFT group (2.41 ± 0.83 cm; p = 0.01). Multivariate regression analysis found that age (OR = 1.726[1.208– 2.465], p = 0.003), DOI (OR = 1.793[1.175– 2.737], p = 0.007), Lmax (OR = 1.477[1.033– 2.111], p = 0.032), perforation (OR = 3.698[2.038– 6.710]; p < 0.01) and intravenous anesthesia (OR = 3.734[2.642– 5.278]; p < 0.01) were the independent factors that prolonged fasting time in patients with SEFBs, while esophageal mucosal erosion (OR = 0.433[0.229– 0.820]; p = 0.01) was the influencing factor leading to shortened fasting time. Conclusion: For the first time, we analyzed factors influencing the fasting time after ER in SEFB patients. To increase the speed and efficiency of expressways construction, information management is being gradually introduced into the construction process. However, progress is limited due to the complexity of expressway engineering and application limitations of information technology. Design and delivery are still dominated by paper files, and the management of test and inspection data is still relatively extensive. Research to date into digital expressway construction has been piecemeal and fragmented with a lack of research related to the whole construction process and a data-centric information management system yet to be realized. In response, through literature research and semi-structured interviews, the framework of a data-driven digital whole-process highway construction management platform was determined. A whole process management platform was established according to the framework, and the functional application of the proposed platform was explained through a case. The framework is proposed from the perspective of the whole process of collaborative sharing., which provides a new way of thinking to solve the problems existing in the current field of expressway construction whole-process management. Nothotsuga is a monotypic genus of Pinaceae endemic to southern China today. Molecular data indicate that Nothotsuga split from Tsuga during the Palaeogene with the earliest fossils from the upper Eocene of North Europe. However, Nothotsuga fossil has not been reported from China. Here, we describe several well-preserved seed cones from the upper Miocene of Tiantai County, Zhejiang Province, China. The fossil cones are characterised by ovate to elliptic shapes, rhombic to suborbicular and auriculate scales, and exserted subspathulate bracts with dentate margin and acute or acuminate apical cusp. These cones are ascribed to a new species Nothotsuga sinogaia sp. nov. based on detailed comparisons with all extant genera of Pinaceae. The present discovery indicate that Nothotsuga had a more northern distribution during the late Miocene and the increased annual range of monthly-mean temperature might have restricted its modern distribution to several scattered and fragmental areas in southern China. Three mononuclear tetrakis(pseudohalido)-cobalt(II) complexes (Ph4P)2[Co(E)4] (E = N3−, 1; NCO−, 2; NCS−, 3) have been synthesized and structurally characterized. Each compound contains a distorted tetrahedral Co2+ ion coordinated by four pseudohalide ligands. The magnetic properties of 1–3 have been studied using direct-current magnetic measurements and high-frequency and -field EPR spectroscopy (HFEPR), suggesting easy-axis magnetic anisotropy for 1 and 2 and easy-plane anisotropy for 3. Analysis of the HFEPR spectra yielded D values of −5.23 and +3.63 cm−1 for 2 and 3, respectively. The absence of the EPR signal in 1 is consistent with a large, negative value of the zero-field splitting (ZFS) parameter D in 1. The nature of magnetic anisotropies of 1–3 has also been confirmed by ab initio calculations. The calculated D values are consistent with those determined using magnetometry and HFEPR studies. Alternating current (AC) magnetic susceptibilities reveal slow magnetic relaxation under an applied magnetic field, thus indicating that 1–3 are field-induced single-ion magnets (SIMs). Experimental and theoretical studies of magnetic anisotropy and relaxation behavior of six-coordinate tris(pivalato)-Co(ii) and -Ni(ii) complexes (NBu4)[M(piv)3] (piv = pivalate, M = Co, 1; M = Ni, 2), with a coordination configuration at the intermediate between an octahedron and a trigonal prism, are reported. Direct current magnetic data and high-frequency and -field EPR spectra (HFEPR) of 1 have been modeled by a general Hamiltonian considering the first-order orbital angular momentum, while the spin Hamiltonian was used to interpret the data of 2. Two mononuclear seven-coordinate cobalt(ii) complexes [Co(L)3(NO3)2] (L = 4-tert-butylpyridine, 1; L = isoquinoline, 2) were prepared and structurally analyzed by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. The coordination spheres of 1 and 2 exhibit distorted pentagonal bipyramid geometry. Analysis of their direct-current magnetic data reveals the existence of easy plane anisotropy (D ＞ 0) with a small transverse anisotropy (E), which was further confirmed by high-field electron paramagnetic resonance (HFEPR) spectroscopy. Field-induced slow magnetic relaxations were observed under the applied dc field in complexes 1 and 2 by alternating-current magnetic susceptibility measurements. In the process of passing information in consecutive interpreting, the verbal information of the original speaker and that of the interpreter belong to different discourse conditions in different space and time. Therefore, non-verbal information, with actual information functions, plays a discursive role parallel to verbal information in the CI structure of the source language and target language. Through analysis of the non-verbal information structure in consecutive interpreting, this study aims to describe the starting point, core components and the end of non-verbal information. The study will use authentic consecutive interpreting data involving the two language combinations of Chinese-English and Chinese-Japanese, to explore the usages as well as functions of non-verbal information. In addition, the study tries to offer systematic descriptions of the characteristics of non-verbal information at the starting point, the core and the end. These include: 1. Characteristics of starting point information: speaker's gaze at the end of delivery, nodding of the speaker, interpreter's gaze/smile at the beginning of delivery, and speech opener 2. Characteristics of core information: reproduction of mood, tones, rhythm, facial expressions, eye contact, and body language 3.
