Dongxing Sanlu (东行三录) is a very important work of Ma Jianzhong and one of the important historical materials for studying the history of modern Sino Korean relations. Presently, the most commonly seen editions of the book are Ma Jianzhong Collection collated by Wang Mengke and the volume of Ma Jianzhong, Shao Zuozhou, Chen Qiu in Library of Modern Chinese Thinkers compiled by Xue Yuqin, Xu Zichao, Lu Ye, et al. Due to the professional incapabilities, the authors are not familiar to the basic norms of collation. They are not serious in the collation. There is an error occurred in the article Schizophrenia: a narrative review of etiological and diagnostic issues published in the Consortium Psychiatricum journal (Volume 3 Issue 3) by Sofia Oskolkova. Due to a technical error on authors and editorial parts and without any malicious intent, the Errors in diagnostics of schizophrenia chapter links to incorrect references. The publisher made changes to the electronic version of the published article (PDF and HTML) on the journals website instead of the version with errors. Academic publishing is undergoing a highly transformative process, and many established rules and value systems that are in place, such as traditional peer review (TPR) and preprints, are facing unprecedented challenges, including as a result of post-publication peer review. The integrity and validity of the academic literature continue to rely naively on blind trust, while TPR and preprints continue to fail to effectively screen out errors, fraud, and misconduct. Imperfect TPR invariably results in imperfect papers that have passed through varying levels of rigor of screening and validation. If errors or misconduct were not detected during TPR's editorial screening, but are detected at the post-publication stage, an opportunity is created to correct the academic record. Currently, the most common forms of correcting the academic literature are errata, corrigenda, expressions of concern, and retractions or withdrawals. Some additional measures to correct the literature have emerged, including manuscript versioning, amendments, partial retractions and retract and replace. Preprints can also be corrected if their version is updated. This paper discusses the risks, benefits and limitations of these forms of correcting the academic literature. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: The literature on scientific publication errors in medical research is limited, and no studies on emergency medicine publications have been conducted yet. This study aimed to investigate the characteristics of the publication errors in emergency medicine literature.Methods: This bibliometric study reviewed intervened publication errors in the manuscripts of seven high-impact emergency medicine journals from 2000 to 2020, covering twenty years, and evaluated the corrections in the forms of an erratum, corrigendum, addendum, and retracted papers. The detected publication error rate and the trend, error severity, and error types were calculated.Results: We detected 257 intervened scientific papers consisting of 251 corrections due to one or more publication errors and six retractions. Authors were the primary source of the errors (93.2%). Most of the errors were in the author attribution section (40.5%). The published errors of 7.2% had an impact on the paper's conclusion. Simple typographic errors were the most common error type (62.5%). The corrected publication error rate was 1.3%, with a steady trend over the twenty years.Conclusions: Publications errors are inevitable, but it is possible to minimize them. There has been an increasing number of reported errors in neurosurgical publications. Subsequent published correction details in the form of errata and corrigenda has not been analyzed previously. Our study aims to review the published errata and corrigenda in neurosurgical literature, and we discuss the characteristics and future implications of postpublication errors. PubMed and Embase databases were screened using a designed search strategy for errata and corrigenda in neurosurgical articles published between 1990 and March 2021. Data including journal impact factor, number of authors and citations, country of origin, study design, level of evidence, category, severity, and timing of correction of errors were extracted for summary and analysis. A total of 768 included articles contributed to 918 error corrections. In 563 (73.31%) articles, the correction was acknowledged in the original record. Median journal impact factor was 3.114 (interquartile range [IQR], 2.139). Median correction time was 3 months (IQR, 5 months), with no statistically significant difference in timing of correction across different error severities (Kruskal-Wallis test, P = 0.058). A total of 398 (51.82%) studies showed level 3 evidence. Errors with minimal severity most commonly occurred in the author list 197(82.43%), with typographic error being the predominant cause. Errors with high severity most commonly occurred in the Results section. Eight errors (0.87%) prompted modification of study conclusions. Observations of postpublication corrections across a wide range of studies prompted more awareness of errors in the neurosurgical literature regardless of impact factors and level of evidence. More standardization in the recognition and acknowledgment of errors, with active engagements from authors, readers, editors, and publishers, is recommended. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Two errors in the article Best Match Graphs (Geiß et al. in JMB 78: 2015–2057, 2019) are corrected. One concerns the tacit assumption that digraphs are sink-free, which has to be added as an additional precondition in Lemma 9, Lemma 11, Theorem 4. Correspondingly, Algorithm 2 requires that its input is sink-free. The second correction concerns an additional necessary condition in Theorem 9 required to characterize best match graphs.
