To review the literature and discover which antidepressants are responsible for weight gain and then to discuss the areas with lack of adequate knowledge. Method: An electronic search was conducted through Medline, Pubmed, Cochrane library, and ScienceDirect. Forty nine empirical researches were identified and reviewed. Results: Amitriptyline, clomipramine, and mirtazapine have been associated with more weight gain induction in clinical studies, but not in animal-based studies. All TCAs have been reported to cause weight gain except protriptyline. MAOIs have been associated with weight gain. In SSRI group, citalopram and ecitalopram induce weight, yet mixed results exist for paroxetine and fluoxetine. Researches unanimously reported weight loss effect for bupropion. Some studies suggest contributing factors in the relationship of antidepressants with body weight changes including age, gender, base-line weights and treatment duration. Various results of different treatment durations have been reported in some cases but there are not continuous time-dependent studies for the influences of antidepressants on body weight changes. Conclusion: More studies are required to discover underlying mechanisms and the time-dependent effects of antidepressants on body weight changes.

Abstract Objective This meta-analysis aims to compare the clinical efficacy of mesh non-fixation and fixation in laparoscopic transabdominal preperitoneal (TAPP) inguinal hernia repair, systematically evaluating the application value of the mesh non-fixation technique in clinical settings. Methods A computerized search of PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, and ClinicalTrials.gov databases was conducted to identify randomized controlled trials (RCTs) comparing mesh non-fixation and fixation in TAPP inguinal hernia repair. Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.3 software, and the Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (GRADE) evidence grading system was employed for outcome quality assessment. Publication bias analysis was performed using Begg’s test. A trial sequential analysis (TSA) was performed using TSA 0.9.5.10 Beta software. Results A total of nine RCTs involving 1,879 inguinal hernia patients were included. Meta-analysis results demonstrated that, compared to the fixation group, the non-fixation group exhibited significantly lower seroma occurrence rate [RR = 0.43, 95% CI (0.20, 0.89), P = 0.02, heterogeneity P = 0.28, I²=22%], Visual Analog Scale (VAS) pain score at 6 months postoperatively [MD=-0.21, 95% CI (-0.29, -0.12), P

BackgroundNeoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy for rectal cancer improves surgical outcomes and reduces recurrence but can cause low anterior resection syndrome (LARS), affecting quality of life. This study aims to predict the risk of LARS in male patients with mid-low rectal cancer after laparoscopic total mesorectal excision (TME).MethodsClinical data from 203 male patients with mid-low rectal cancer who underwent neoadjuvant therapy and laparoscopic resection were collected. Patients were divided into training (n=143) and validation (n=60) cohorts. LARS risk factors were identified using logistic regression, and a predictive model was constructed and validated using ROC curve, Hosmer-Lemeshow test, calibration curve, and decision curve analysis (DCA).ResultsLARS occurred in 53.6% of the patients in this study. Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that BMI ≥ 25 kg/m², tumor distance from the anal margin < 5 cm, radiotherapy, and anastomotic leakage were independent risk factors for postoperative LARS in patients (P < 0.05). The areas under the ROC curves for the training cohort and validation cohort were 0.866 (95% CI: 0.807-0.925) and 0.724 (95% CI: 0.595-0.853), respectively, with both groups showing good goodness-of-fit test results (P > 0.05). The DCA curve indicated that the model had a high clinical utility.ConclusionsBMI ≥ 25 kg/m², tumor distance from the anal margin < 5 cm, radiotherapy, and anastomotic leakage are independent risk factors for the occurrence of LARS after neoadjuvant therapy combined with laparoscopic TME in male patients with mid-low rectal cancer. These factors should be emphasized in clinical practice, and corresponding preventive measures should be promptly implemented.

To enhance the interaction among multiple agents in carbon trading mechanisms， a leader-follower game method is proposed， with carbon trading JMO （joint market operator） as the leader and multiple IES （integrated energy systems） as followers. This method aims to achieve low-carbon economic operation for different IES. Firstly， under the tiered penalty mechanism for carbon emission， the operational benefits of various agents’ IES are modeled and analyzed. A dual-mode operation strategy for IES， which includes options for low carbon emission and low cost， is proposed. Secondly， based on the dynamic non-cooperative Stackelberg game optimization framework， a carbon trading model involving multiple agents is established according to the operational modes of each agent. Finally， the decision-making model of the leader-follower game is solved using both adaptive differential evolution （DE） algorithm and the Gurobi optimizer. Case analysis results demonstrate that this carbon trading mechanism can effectively achieve both low-carbon and economic operation for IES.
