ABSTRACT: Background: Coronary magnetic resonance angiography (CMRA) presents distinct advantages, but its reliance on manual image post-processing is labor-intensive and requires specialized knowledge. This study aims to design and test an efficient artificial intelligence (AI) model capable of automating coronary artery segmentation and reformation from CMRA images for coronary artery disease (CAD) diagnosis. Methods: By leveraging transfer learning from a pre-existing coronary computed tomography angiography model, a three-dimensional attention-aware U-Net was established, trained, and validated on a dataset of 104 subjects’ CMRA. Furthermore, an independent clinical evaluation was conducted on an additional cohort of 70 patients. The AI model's performance in segmenting coronary arteries was assessed using the Dice similarity coefficient (DSC) and recall. The comparison between the AI model and manual processing by experienced radiologists on vessel reformation was based on reformatted image quality (rIQ) scoring, post-processing time, and the number of necessary user interactions. The diagnostic performance of AI-segmented CMRA for significant stenosis (≥50% diameter reduction) was evaluated using conventional coronary angiography (CAG) as a reference in sub-set data. Results: The DSC of the AI model achieved on the training and validation sets were 0.952 and 0.944, with recalls of 0.936 and 0.923, respectively. In the clinical evaluation, the model outperformed manual processes by reducing vessel post-processing time, from 632.6±17.0 s to 77.4±8.9 s, and the number of user interactions from 221±59 to 8±2. The AI post-processed images maintained high rIQ scores comparable to those processed manually (2.7±0.8 vs 2.7±0.6; P = 0.4806). In subjects with CAG, the prevalence of CAD was 71%. The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy at patient-based analysis were 94%, 71%, and 88%, respectively, by AI post-processed whole-heart CMRA. Conclusion: The AI auto-segmentation system can effectively facilitate CMRA vessel reformation and reduce the time consumption for radiologists. It has the potential to become a standard component of daily workflows, optimizing the clinical application of CMRA in the future.

Abstract Objectives To investigate the utility of deep learning (DL) automated segmentation-based MRI radiomic features and clinical-radiological characteristics in predicting early recurrence after curative resection of single hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods This single-center, retrospective study included consecutive patients with surgically proven HCC who underwent contrast-enhanced MRI before curative hepatectomy from December 2009 to December 2021. Using 3D U-net-based DL algorithms, automated segmentation of the liver and HCC was performed on six MRI sequences. Radiomic features were extracted from the tumor, tumor border extensions (5 mm, 10 mm, and 20 mm), and the liver. A hybrid model incorporating the optimal radiomic signature and preoperative clinical-radiological characteristics was constructed via Cox regression analyses for early recurrence. Model discrimination was characterized with C-index and time-dependent area under the receiver operating curve (tdAUC) and compared with the widely-adopted BCLC and CNLC staging systems. Results Four hundred and thirty-four patients (median age, 52.0 years; 376 men) were included. Among all radiomic signatures, HCC with 5 mm tumor border ex tension and liver showed the optimal predictive performance (training set C-index, 0.696). By incorporating this radiomic signature, rim arterial phase hyperenhancement (APHE), and incomplete tumor “capsule,” a hybrid model demonstrated a validation set C-index of 0.706 and superior 2-year tdAUC (0.743) than both the BCLC (0.550; p < 0.001) and CNLC (0.635; p = 0.032) systems. This model stratified patients into two prognostically distinct risk strata (both datasets p < 0.001). Conclusion A preoperative imaging model incorporating the DL automated segmentation-based radiomic signature with rim APHE and incomplete tumor “capsule” accurately predicted early postsurgical recurrence of a single HCC. Critical relevance statement The DL automated segmentation-based MRI radiomic model with rim APHE and incomplete tumor “capsule” hold the potential to facilitate individualized risk estimation of postsurgical early recurrence in a single HCC. Key Points A hybrid model integrating MRI radiomic signature was constructed for early recurrence prediction of HCC. The hybrid model demonstrated superior 2-year AUC than the BCLC and CNLC systems. Water monitoring policies are recommended to ensure ecosystem preservation in industrial and agricultural development. Due to the reduction of water resources and the importance of sustainable rice production, it is necessary to develop relevant policies to promote the optimization of water and fertilizer distribution in rice paddy water environments. This article aims to plan the two objectives of water supply and reducing the environmental effects of nitrates in rice cultivation and analyzing the maximum and minimum benefits. By modifying the methods of fertilization and water distribution, the amount of production can be gradually increased by taking into account the harmful effects on the environment. Water and nitrate have a synergistic effect on the growth of paddy rice. However, the amount of runoff that is affected by nitrates is directly related to the pollution of aquatic environments. The results confirmed the correlation between nitrate concentration and production and reported the reduction of its negative effects depending on the management of inflow and outflow to rice fields. Changing the outflow according to the fertilization time and the inflow rate is an effective solution in the fertilizer nitrogen uptake and reducing the nitrate concentration in surface water sources in the long term. HIGHLIGHTS Achieving sustainability in the ecosystem and food security requires the development of research on the correlation between these factors and water resources.; The multi-objective model increased the sustainability of the ecosystem against pollutants by increasing benefits.;

Due to the growing number of emergency accidents occurring around students, evacuation issues have become significantly important for both school officials and architects. Simply following construction codes cannot ensure that a building׳s layout is suitable for evacuation behaviors; therefore, to discover the suitable planning schemes, we have introduced an agent-based simulation model via Netlogo to investigate the interrelationships between evacuation efficiency and classroom layouts. Before conducting modeling experiments, both the simulation structure and the sensitivity to its parameter settings are examined by validation research and sensitivity analysis. Furthermore, to demonstrate the importance of conducting fire drills with students, two different types of behavior rules are designed to reflect the distinctive characteristics of students evacuating without instructions and students evacuating in good order. The general comparison results show us that the classroom layout with two exits shortens students׳ evacuation time, and the premeditated behavior rules, meaning that students who follow preset instructions to arrange their activities, not only escape faster but also have some advantages in ensuring their safety during the evacuation process. Moreover, at the end of this paper, several methods of improving this simulation model are proposed for more complex research in the future.

Industrial prosperity is the foundation of rural revitalization. Taking the 552 agricultural industry demonstration towns (AIDTs) as the research object, this paper explores the spatial layout and influence mechanism of AIDTs in China. The research is of great significance to the layout of China's agricultural industry and the revitalization of the rural agricultural industry. This paper adopts the ArcGIS 10.3 spatial analysis method to reveal the spatial distribution characteristics, density characteristics, spatial complexity, and spatial correlation of AIDTs in China. (1) The spatial distribution of AIDTs tends to be condensed distribution with remarkable spatial differentiation. (2) The kernel density of China's AIDTs is characterized by multiple independent mononuclear centers, secondary centered bands, and sporadic distribution. (3) The AIDTs system is characterized by scaleless areas, significant fractal features, and complexity of spatial structure. (4) The AIDTs belong to positive spatial correlation present different patterns of cold and hot spots with the more concentrated spatial distribution. The research indicates that the spatial distribution pattern of China's AIDTs is highly consistent with the distribution of major grain-producing areas. It is mainly determined by factors such as good natural conditions, convenient water resources, and good regional advantages and continuously implemented agricultural industry reform. With the "three changes" reform (i.e. change resources into assets, funds into shares, and farmers into shareholders) proposed by Liupanshui City in Guizhou Province in March 2015 as a strategy, take the agricultural industry scale development model and adheres to the guidance of the agricultural industry to contribute to rural revitalization. The research results are of essential guiding significance for China's agricultural industry reform, agricultural economic development, rural revitalization, and the characteristics of agricultural industry layout.
