El propósito de este estudio es realizar un análisis crítico de los sistemas de planificación desde la perspectiva de la Teoría General de Sistemas (TGS) y su aplicación interdisciplinaria hacia enfoques estratégicos de la planificación institucional. Se emplea una metodología de tipo cuantitativa y cualitativa; para ello, se lleva a cabo un análisis clúster sobre un conjunto de variables representativas de las distintas dimensiones de los sistemas. Los resultados se respaldan en la validez del coeficiente de competencia para la elaboración de un esquema lógico y secuencial, fundamentado en la revisión de literatura especializada. Esta revisión se organiza en subcategorías mediante la utilización de un dendograma de variables, estableciendo relaciones entre los diferentes conceptos de la teoría de sistemas. Se resalta la viabilidad del diseño e implementación de sistemas, tanto en entornos naturales como artificiales. El análisis concluye, que, en el contexto de las organizaciones públicas, la planificación se ve inevitablemente influenciada por su entorno estratégico y operativo.

La metodología es de tipo cuantitativa, los resultados se basan en la creación de un esquema lógico y secuencial, utilizando un dendrograma de variables que facilita la eliminación de redundancias entre los diversos conceptos examinados. Las conclusiones obtenidas a partir de esta investigación confirman que las organizaciones públicas son entidades dinámicas y cambiantes que se ven inevitablemente influenciadas por su entorno operativo. La novedad científica de este estudio radica en el desarrollo de una metodología para formular sistemas de planificación basada en la teoría general de sistemas, alineada con la planificación institucional y enfocándose en los objetivos institucionales de una institución pública.

Wearable sensors are gaining in popularity because they enable outdoor experimental monitoring. This paper presents a cost-effective sensorised insole based on a mesh of tactile capacitive sensors. Each sensor’s spatial resolution is about 4 taxels/cm 2 in order to have an accurate reconstruction of the contact pressure distribution. As a consequence, the insole provides information such as contact forces, moments, and centre of pressure. To retrieve this information, a calibration technique that fuses measurements from a vacuum chamber and shoes equipped with force/torque sensors is proposed. The validation analysis shows that the best performance achieved a root mean square error (RMSE) of about 7 N for the contact forces and 2 N m for the contact moments when using the force/torque shoe data as ground truth. Thus, the insole may be an alternative to force/torque sensors for certain applications, with a considerably more cost-effective and less invasive hardware.

The paper presents a stochastic methodology for the simultaneous floating-base estimation of the human whole-body kinematics and dynamics (i.e., joint torques, internal and external forces). The paper builds upon our former work where a fixed-base formulation had been developed for the human estimation problem. The presented approach is validated by presenting experimental results of a health subject equipped with a wearable motion tracking system and a pair of shoes sensorized with force/torque sensors while performing different motion tasks, e.g., walking on a treadmill. The results show that joint torque estimates obtained by using floating-base and fixed-base approaches match satisfactorily, thus validating the present approach.

This paper aims to analyse the level of commitment with the SDGs of large Spanish companies based on the information published in their Non-Financial Statements and their letters from the chairman. To achieve this objective and identify potential explanatory factors, a balanced sample of 58 Spanish companies, 29 listed and 29 unlisted, in 2019 has been used. The results of this study evidence: i) the greater commitment with the SDGs of companies which are exposed in the stock markets and those which are larger; ii) the relevance of the diversity into the boards of directors, in order to integrate the largest and the widest number of interests as well as those values and principles which are intrinsically associated to women directors; and iii) the greater emphasis on those SDGs related to well-known issues by these organizations, thanks to their greater experience in non-financial reporting, publishing documents such as corporate social responsibility or sustainability reports.

Nonlinear controllers for floating base systems in contact with the environment are often framed as quadratic programming (QP) optimization problems. Common drawbacks of such QP-based controllers are: the control input often experiences discontinuities; no force feedback from force/torque (FT) sensors installed on the robot is taken into account. This article attempts to address these limitations using jerk-based control architectures. The proposed controllers assume the rate-of-change of the joint torques as control input, and exploit the system position, velocity, accelerations, and contact wrenches as measurable quantities. The key ingredient of the presented approach is a one-to-one correspondence between free variables and an inner approximation of the manifold defined by the contact stability constraints. More precisely, the proposed correspondence covers completely the contact stability manifold except for the socalled friction cone, for which there exists a unique correspondence for more than 90% of its elements. The correspondence allows us to transform the underlying constrained optimization problem into one that is unconstrained. Then, we propose a jerk control framework that exploits the proposed correspondence and uses FT measurements in the control loop. Furthermore, we present Lyapunov stable controllers for the system momentum in the jerk control framework. The approach is validated with simulations and experiments using the iCub humanoid robot. This paper contributes toward the benchmarking of control architectures for bipedal robot locomotion. It considers architectures that are based on the Divergent Component of Motion (DCM) and composed of three main layers: trajectory optimization, simplified model control, and whole-body quadratic programming (QP) control layer. While the first two layers use simplified robot models, the whole-body QP control layer uses a complete robot model to produce either desired positions, velocities, or torques inputs at the joint-level. This paper then compares two implementations of the simplified model control layer, which are tested with position, velocity, and torque control modes for the whole-body QP control layer. In particular, both an instantaneous and a Receding Horizon controller are presented for the simplified model control layer. We show also that one of the proposed architectures allows the humanoid robot iCub to achieve a forward walking velocity of 0.3372 m/s, which is the highest walking velocity achieved by the iCub robot. The current crisis, unsustainable growth, financial scandals involves reflection on the role of universities in the professional training, particularly those who have to manage businesses. On this issue, there is a perception that the teaching of ethics and corporate social responsibility (CSR) is insufficient (Baetz and Sharp, 2004; Kashyap et al., 2006). In this regard, universities play a fundamental role due both to the impact of the incorporation of CSR into the design of their study and research programs, and its incorporation into universities’ mission, vision, and corporate strategy (Muijen, 2004). Then, the present study focuses jon analyzing both the definition of educational objectives and skills development to be acquired by students as the level of inclusion of CSR offered by Spanish universities. In particular, the present paper focuses on analyzing reports verified by National Agency for Quality Assessment of degrees related to the organizational management area implemented in the 2010-2011 academic course, which degrees has been developed based on European Higher Education Area. Based on previous papers, the results of the present paper show that the Bologna process and the Higher Education reform in Spanish universities have promoted an increase of the presence of CSR in the business education.

La crisis actual, el crecimiento insostenible, los escándalos financieros, exigen una reflexión sobre el papel de las universidades en la formación de profesionales, particularmente de aquéllos que tienen que administrar y gestionar empresas. En este sentido, existe una percepción de que la formación en valores éticos y en una conducta socialmente responsable de estos profesionales es insuficiente (Baetz y Sharp, 2004; Kashyap et al., 2006). Es por ello que el presente trabajo se encarga de analizar, tanto la definición de objetivos y competencias a adquirir por los estudiantes, como la oferta formativa de las universidades españolas en materia de responsabilidad social (RSC). Para ello se tomará como referencia las memorias verificadas positivamente por la Agencia Nacional de Evaluación y Acreditación de la Calidad (ANECA) de los títulos más cercanos al ámbito de la gestión de organizaciones ofertados por las universidades españolas en el curso 2010/2011, momento en el cual comienza a impartirse los nuevos grados adaptados al Proceso de Bolonia, con la finalidad de comparar los resultados obtenidos con la literatura. Sobre este particular, el presente estudio muestra que la adaptación de la oferta formativa universitaria al Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior ha supuesto una mayor presencia de la RSC en los estudios universitarios.
