Background: Men's engagement in maternal and child health care in the preconception health forum is essential because it allows primary prevention of maternal and infant mortality and morbidity. This review aimed to identify strategies to engage men in preconception health. Materials and Methods: This scoping review was conducted from August to September 2022. The database searches included PubMed, EBSCO, and ProQuest from 2012 to 2022, related to men's involvement in reproductive health, preconception health, family planning, maternity, and infant care; articles written in English; national (Indonesia) and international articles; and appropriate thesis. The searched keywords were man/male role, premarital, preconception, reproductive health, and fertility. Results: The electronic searches turned to 1969 articles, 16 of which met the inclusion criteria and were selected for study analysis. This review identified three themes: identifying programs that are sensitive to the limitations of men; developing community outreach strategies; and engaging management principles, policy, and legislation. Conclusions: Efforts to engage men in preconception health can be complicated, but several strategic programs have demonstrated some success. Subsequent programs that require men's participation in preconception health services must be sensitive to the identified barriers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Primigravidas are at high risk of experiencing emotional disorders, stress, anxiety, and depression, which can lead to fetal neglect and a lack of adequate pregnancy care. This may result in problems with fetal growth and development, low birth weight, and even infant death. A strong maternal-fetal attachment significantly influences pregnancy care practices. However, there is no prenatal attachment education program included in routine education. Aim: This study aimed to explore healthcare workers' perspectives on the need to develop a prenatal attachment education package for pregnant women in public health centers. Methods: This qualitative study was conducted among eight healthcare workers from eight public health centers in Bantul, Yogyakarta, Indonesia; a regency with the seventh highest infant death rate in the country. Inclusion criteria included healthcare workers in maternity and child health units who resided in Bantul and agreed to participate. Purposive sampling was used to recruit the participants. Data collection was conducted through focus group discussion (FGD) with an interview guide. The FGD data were transcribed and analyzed using NVivo 12 Pro International software. Results: The findings identified 216 codes, 16 categories, and 4 themes, including (1) pregnancy education program, (2) maternal-fetal attachment education program, (3) pregnancy emotional management program, and (4) husband support education program. Conclusion: This study identified four themes and sixteen categories that underscore the need for further research to develop guidelines, materials, and media for prenatal attachment education packages. The purpose of this study is to explore adolescent pregnant women related to their pregnancy experience about mental health needs during pregnancy for the prevention of depression during pregnancy. This research is a qualitative study design with a phenomenological approach. Data collection using interviews (in-depth interviews). This study involved 18 participants consisting of 12 pregnant women aged 15–19 years and 6 midwives who work at the health center. The criteria for informants of pregnant women are pregnant with Trimester I to III, age 15–19 years and not experiencing complications of pregnancy. Based on interviews conducted with informants, five themes were obtained about the experiences and needs of pregnant women in adolescence. These themes are (1). Risk of depression, (2). Social and family support needs, (3). Needs of mental health services, (4). Obstacles for midwives in providing mental health services, and (5). needs of mental health information media. The Holy Qur'an is a permanent miracle and a complete plan for the worldly and afterlife life of mankind. Scientists of various sciences have discovered the Qur'anic references so that they can open the gates of science in this way. One of the sciences mentioned in the Holy Quran is the science of politics, politics means the method of managing society; In such a way that the material and spiritual interests of the individual people are realized, and in other words, politics is the religion of statecraft, therefore, in this definition, holiness lies in politics and, contrary to popular belief, it is not associated with trickery and deceiving others. From the perspective of the Holy Quran, there is no separation between religion and politics and both are the same. The Holy Qur'an knows all the issues related to the world, politics, society, economy, all the issues related to the side of the issue that the people of the world are not aware of. All its rulings are mixed rulings with politics. Examples of political issues in the Holy Quran are: legislation, the existence of criminal laws, preparing military equipment and forces, the quality of defense and war, and dealing with prisoners of war, preserving independence, hiding secrets, lack of friendship with enemies, social justice, the importance of council, lack of political deception, keeping promises, respecting economic principles, international relations, etc. are political issues. Some of the prophecies of the Holy Quran in politics are: The victory of divine prophets, the victory of truth over falsehood, the establishment of the true religion, and the inheritance of the righteous on earth, etc., are historical issues predicted by the Holy Quran. Using the density functional theory, the possible non-covalent interactions and six mechanisms of covalent functionalization of the drug penicillamine with functionalized carbon nanotubes (CNT) were investigated. Quantum molecular descriptors of the non-covalent configurations were studied. It was determined that binding of the drug penicillamine with functionalized CNT is thermodynamically viable. COOH functionalized CNT (NTCOOH) has more binding energy than COCl functionalized CNT (NTCOCl) and could act as a favorable system for penicillamine drug delivery within biological and chemical systems (non-covalent). NTCOOH and NTCOCl can bond to the NH2, OH and SH groups of penicillamine through OH (COOH mechanism) and Cl (COCl mechanism) groups, respectively. The activation energies, activation enthalpies and activation Gibbs energies of six pathways were calculated and compared with each other. The activation parameters related to the COOH mechanism are higher than those related to the COCl mechanism and therefore, the COCl mechanism is suitable for covalent functionalization. These results could be generalized to other similar drugs.

Herein, graphene oxide (GO)-magnesium oxide (MgO) nanocomposites (GO-MgO) (GO1.5MgO, GO3MgO, GO4.5MgO, and GO6MgO) were synthesized and characterized. Methylene blue (MB) and crystal violet (CV) as cationic dyes were used as contaminants. The results showed that MB and CV adsorption followed pseudo-second-order kinetics. The isotherm data indicated that MB and CV removal obeyed the Langmuir isotherm model. It means that the adsorption process was carried out in specific homogeneous sites on the adsorbent surface. The adsorption thermodynamic data presented that the negative ΔG of CV and MB removal by the synthesized adsorbents presented physical and spontaneous adsorption. Also, the positive values of ΔH and ΔS showed the endothermic properties of adsorption and the increase of dye irregularity on the adsorbent surface. The amount of dye adsorbed on the synthesized adsorbents increases by increasing the contaminant concentration. The results indicated that contaminant adsorption capacity enhances by enhancing the adsorbent dose and then decreases to some extent. As the adsorbent dose increases, the active sites will be more accessible. The adsorbent particles are agglomerated at values higher than the optimal value of the adsorbent dose. Thus dye removal is reduced. It can be concluded that the synthesized GO-MgO nanocomposites could be used as alternative adsorbents to remove cationic dyes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This review aims to investigate studies from various countries on interventions to address depression in pregnant women living with HIV. This review employed a Scoping Review-PRISMA-ScR method on several electronic databases, including PubMed, Scopus, Science Direct, and ProQuest. Articles that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were critically assessed using tools from the Joanna Briggs Institute. Six articles were included in this review.
