When implementing projects in the field of education for sustainable development (ESD), there is always a great need for further training and qualification for the teaching staff if ESD needs to be implemented systematically and school-wide in the lessons of all year groups and subjects. Successful implementation of ESD in the school context depends on two influencing factors. On the one hand, schools need a practicable framework curriculum for ESD and, on the other hand, a related further education concept that can be implemented primarily in school practice. The main aim of the article is to outline the framework curriculum and the training concept and to present the initial results of an evaluation of the training carried out on this basis in a Latvian, Romanian and German schools. This article reports on an ERASMUS + project that has dedicated itself to this task from a European perspective. Building on the framework curriculum, a customized training concept was developed to impart content and skills for teachers and educational staff. Both the framework curriculum and the training concept as well as the handout can be downloaded free of charge in six languages: https://esdsupervision.eu/. The most important finding of the project is that the curriculum framework and the training program tailored to it are seen as effective and efficient, but also that accompanying advice is necessary for a school development process. Purpose: This paper aims to recall the attention on a key challenge for customer relationship management related to the role of human agents in the management of the "switch point" for ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency in a customer-machine conversation. Design/methodology/approach: This study contributes to the discussion about the firms' approach to artificial intelligence (AI) in frontline interactions under the conceptual umbrella provided by knowledge management studies. Findings: This paper provides a theoretical model for clarifying the role of human intelligence (HI) in AI-based frontline interactions by highlighting the relevance of the actors' subjectivity in the dynamics and perceptions of customer-machine conversations. This study aims to explore the phenomenon of KM within public organizations through the 'organizational knowing' perspective. It was conducted a systematic literature review by using two online databases: Scopus and WOS. A dataset of 123 publications was analysed through citation and co-citation analysis. Results have shown the existence of a network of the 42 most cited sources and 2 topic clusters. This paper contributes to the literature by presenting a comprehensive overview of KM within public sector organizations and leads to further reflections on the concept of organizational knowing as a central mechanism in the production and articulation of knowledge. The purpose of this paper was to discuss the need of "general reference frameworks that can support the understanding of complex phenomena related to sustainability and sustainable development that cannot be effectively faced by adopting existing disciplines in isolation". Recognizing the complexity of sustainability, we discuss two main problems: (1) the yet unfulfilled need to overcome the fragmentation of knowledge necessary to address sustainability, and (2) the crucial need to strengthen the science–policy–industry interface in order to effectively co-create knowledge and solutions for sustainability. Advancing a 'triple helix' model for sustainability that has been recently developed in the field of managerial studies, the conditions for knowledge co-creation and effective science–policy–industry collaboration are discussed. Findings highlight: (1) the contribution of systems thinking to bridge the ways each discipline interprets sustainability and the ways actors look at its challenging requirements; (2) the relevance of 'interface' roles among actors involved in the theoretical and practical progress toward sustainability. Following the 'helix' stream, a novel representation of the sustainability triple helix shows how systems thinking, as a boundary-crossing and knowledge-bridging perspective, can trigger a virtuous interaction among key actors involved in the challenge for sustainability. Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to create awareness on the need for lifting up the level of analysis in service research by focusing on systems, networks, and ecosystems to contribute to the research expansion of the traditionally narrow view of service. Design/methodology/approach – This conceptual paper is built upon three blocks. First, the viable systems approach is revised to highlight the survival, viability, and complexity of service systems. Second, the dynamics of service networks is discussed using an ecological view of service with a nested, networked configuration. Third, these two previous perspectives are integrated using the fundamentals of ecosystems thinking. Findings – This paper outlines a novel, tri-level approach reorienting and reframing our thinking around systems, networks, and ecosystems. Some research challenges and directions that could expand the body of knowledge in service research are also discussed. Research limitations/implications – The tri-level approach proposed in this conceptual paper could be enriched with other theoretical perspectives and empirical explorations. Practical implications – Lifting the level of analysis by focussing on service systems, service networks, and service ecosystems would allow practitioners to expand their business perspective to better face the challenges of complex business settings, enabling them to co-create value for all their stakeholders. Originality/value – The paper contributes to set the foundation for the next stage of service research by going beyond dyadic interactions to address dynamic systems, networks, and ecosystems across different interaction patterns in complex business configurations. Purpose -- The purpose of this paper is to reflect upon strategic marketing in emerging economies (EEs). It tries to answer the research question: what new business models are enabled by the Viable Systems Approach (VSA) and Service-Dominant Logic (SDL) perspectives? Design/methodology/approach -- The paper is developed by integrating two well-established perspectives -- VSA and SDL -- and applying them to inclusive businesses. Findings -- The integration of these perspectives allows the authors to recognize a convergence toward business models that seem to be consistent with the principles of inclusive capitalism. The authors claim that by shifting between a reductionist/static and a holistic/dynamic view, these perspectives can be integrated, thus revealing an interesting contribution to the understanding of inclusive business. Specifically, they contribute by highlighting how the economic and social dimensions are intertwined and by highlighting that the management-thinking perspective, which has dominated in recent decades, should shift toward a more inclusive vision. Research limitations/implications -- The paper represents an attempt to address an inclusive capitalism perspective in the context of marketing. Nevertheless, the conceptual reasoning developed in the paper should be further supported by empirical research carried out in the context of EEs. Practical implications -- The paper has relevant managerial implications that suggest a rethinking of the business model to market with EEs. Originality/value -- The paper contributes to the research on inclusive capitalism by linking it to well-grounded conceptual approaches to business that recapture a harmonious relationship between the economy and society. Over recent decades, education policy has been preoccupied with economic growth while paying insufficient heed to global sustainability challenges. International initiatives to promote education for sustainable development (ESD) have been hampered by a lack of clarity on how to implement this form of education. To address this concern, a Rounder Sense of Purpose (RSP) began as a three-year EU-funded project that set out to develop a practical accreditation model for educators working on ESD. Expert and user opinion was sought through several rounds of structured consultation with over 500 people, chiefly using a Delphi approach, to develop and validate the model. The resulting framework comprises 12 competences, each with three learning outcomes and several underpinning components. This is supported by a range of activities largely reflecting a constructivist pedagogy. A range of assessment techniques have also been piloted within the project although this remains an area for further enquiry. Ultimately, it was decided not to design a single qualification template because defining the award to such a level of detail would make it more difficult to apply across multiple jurisdictions. Partners also felt that such an approach would atomize learning in a way that runs counter to the holistic principles of sustainability. RSP provided a rich learning experience for those involved and has already demonstrated its potential to extend its impact well beyond the original participants. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
