Abstract Background Low-income, rural pregnant women are at disproportionate risk for adverse pregnancy outcomes as well as future cardiovascular risk. Currently, less than half of eligible women enroll in the Women, Infants, and Children’s (WIC) Program. This study aims to evaluate whether integrating clinical care and social care may advance health equity and reduce health disparities by directly linking women receiving obstetric care to the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for WIC and/or a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RDN). Methods This pragmatic study is situated in real-world care and utilizes a randomized controlled trial design. A total of 240 low-income, rural, pregnant patients will be recruited from Geisinger (Pennsylvania, USA) obstetric clinics and randomized to receive one of four models: (1) Clinic; (2) Clinic-WIC; (3) Clinic-RDN, or (4) Clinic-WIC-RDN. Participants provide consent for electronic referrals that directly link their contact information from the electronic health record to WIC and/or RDN. Patients in the Clinic model receive standard prenatal care, which includes provision of basic information about WIC. The Clinic-WIC model includes a clinical decision alert to queue clinical staff to ask about WIC interest and place a referral to WIC using a social health access referral platform. In turn, WIC staff contact the pregnant woman about enrollment. The Clinic-RDN model includes a referral to an RDN for telehealth counseling to promote heart healthy eating and food resource management. The Clinic-WIC-RDN model includes referrals to both WIC and RDN. The primary outcome is difference in WIC enrollment between the Clinic and Clinic-RDN models versus the Clinic-WIC and Clinic-WIC-RDN arms at 6-months post-baseline. Secondary endpoints include WIC retention and adherence, change in participant behavior, skills, and food security, preterm delivery, birthweight, and maternal and child health outcomes. Implementation outcome measures include acceptability, appropriateness, and feasibility from the perspective of clinic and WIC staff. Discussion Study findings will inform system models that integrate clinic care and social care to improve health equity among a high-risk population. Specifically, these findings will advance implementation of strategies to increase enrollment in a widely available but underutilized food provision program during pregnancy. IntroductionConsidering the significant role played by both intrinsic and extrinsic electric fields in the growth and maturation of the central nervous system, the impact of short exposure to external electric fields on the development and differentiation of retinal organoids was investigated.MethodsRetinal organoids derived from human embryonic stem cells were used at day 80, a key stage in their differentiation. A single 60-minute exposure to a biphasic electrical field was administered to assess its influence on retinal cell populations and maturation markers. Immunohistochemistry, qPCR, and RNA sequencing were employed to evaluate cell type development and gene expression changes.ResultsElectrical stimulation significantly enhanced neuronal development and increased the population of photoreceptors within the organoids. RNA sequencing data showed upregulated expression of genes related to rod photoreceptors, Müller cells, horizontal cells, and amacrine cells, while genes associated with retinal pigment epithelium and retinal ganglion cells were downregulated. Variations in development and maturation were observed depending on the specific parameters of the applied electric field.DiscussionThese findings highlight the significant impact of extrinsic electrical fields on early retinal development and suggest that optimizing electrical field parameters could effectively address certain limitations in retinal organoid technology, potentially reducing the reliance on chemicals and small molecules.

Objective:Radial scar (RS) is a low-risk breast lesion that can be associated with or mimic malignancy. Management guidelines remain controversial for patients with RS without atypia on core needle biopsy (CNB). The aim was to evaluate the upgrade rate of these lesions and factors associated with malignancy risk and excision rate to more definitively guide management.Materials and Methods:In this retrospective study, 123 patients with RS without atypia, diagnosed with CNB between January 2008 to December 2014 who were either referred for surgical excision or followed-up with imaging, were reviewed. The differences in clinical presentation, imaging features, and biopsy technique among the benign RS patients and those upgraded, as well as the excised versus the observed patients were compared.Results:Of 123 RS reviewed, 93 cases of RS without atypia as the highest-grade lesion in the ipsilateral breast and with either 24-month imaging follow-up or surgical correlation were included. Seventy-four (79.6%) lesions were surgically excised and 19 (20.4%) were followed-up for at least 24 months. A single upgrade to malignancy (1%) and 15 upgrades to high-risk lesions (16%) were found. There was no association of any upgraded lesion with presenting symptoms or imaging features. The use of vacuum-assistance and larger biopsy needles, along with obtaining a higher number of samples, was associated with fewer upgrades and lower surgical excision rates.Conclusion:The upgrade rate of RS without atypia in our population was low, regardless of the imaging features and biopsy technique utilized. Close imaging surveillance is an acceptable alternative to surgical excision in these patients.

IntroductionSclerotinia sclerotiorum is a serious pathogen causing severe basal stalk rot (BSR) disease on cultivated sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) that leads to significant yield losses due to insufficient resistance. The wild annual sunflower species H. petiolaris, commonly known as prairie sunflower is known for its resistance against this pathogen. Sunflower resistance to BSR is quantitative and determined by many genes with small effects on the resistance phenotype. The objective of this study was to identify loci governing BSR resistance derived from H. petiolaris using a quantitative trait loci (QTL) mapping approach.MethodsBSR resistance among lines of an advanced backcross population (AB-QTL) with 174 lines developed from a cross of inbred line HA 89 with H. petiolaris PI 435843 was determined in the field during 2017-2019, and in the greenhouse in 2019. Reduction mammoplasty is a common surgical procedure that removes a significant portion of the breast, and the resulting changes to the breast parenchyma are frequently seen on breast imaging studies. Any radiologist who interprets breast imaging studies must be able to recognize these changes in order to avoid unnecessary recall from screening and/or breast biopsy. The surgical techniques used in reduction mammoplasty are discussed in order to provide relevant background information for understanding the resulting imaging features. These imaging characteristics are presented for the most common breast imaging modalities, including mammography, ultrasound, and magnetic resonance imaging. Additionally, tips for distinguishing malignancy from postsurgical change are provided, as are potential pitfalls in imaging interpretation. To avoid unnecessary patient morbidity, it is critical to differentiate between the classic, benign imaging appearance of the breast after reduction mammoplasty and findings that indicate a potential malignancy.

Guidelines recommend primary care providers refer children with obesity to behavioral interventions, but given limited program availability, access, and parental engagement, referrals remain rare. We developed telehealth coaching interventions for families whose children received care at a health system in Pennsylvania, United States in 2019-2020. Intervention referrals were facilitated by the pediatrician and/or project team for 6–12-year-old children with obesity following well-child visits. Participants chose one of three 26-week interventions focused on healthy eating, physical activity, or a hybrid clinical/nutrition intervention. Interventions engaged parents as change agents, enhancing self-efficacy to model and reinforce behavior and providing resources to help create a healthy home environment. We enrolled 77 of 183 eligible parent/child dyads. We used mixed methods to evaluate the interventions. Repeated measures models among participants showed significant reductions in obesogenic nutrition behaviors post-intervention and at 1-year follow-up, including a reduction in sugar-sweetened beverage intake of 2.14 servings/week (95% confidence interval: −3.45, −0.82). There were also improvements in obesoprotective nutrition behaviors (e.g., frequency of family meals, parental self-efficacy related to meal management). One year post-baseline, we observed no significant differences in changes in body mass index (BMI) z-scores comparing child participants with matched controls. Given potential impacts of COVID-19 community restrictions on study outcomes, we conducted qualitative interviews with 13 participants during restrictions, which exemplified how disrupted routines constrained children’s healthy behaviors but that intervention participation prepared parents by providing cooking and physical activities at home. Findings support the potential of a telehealth-delivered nutrition intervention to support adoption of healthy weight behaviors.

Crop wild relatives of the cultivated sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) are a valuable resource for its sustainable production. Helianthus praecox ssp. runyonii is a wild sunflower known for its resistance against diseases caused by the fungus, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (Lib.) de Bary, which infects over 400 broadleaf hosts including many important food crops. The objective of this research was to dissect the Sclerotinia basal stalk rot (BSR) resistance introgressed from H. praecox ssp. runyonii into cultivated sunflower. Pluripotent stem cell-derived organoid technologies have opened avenues to preclinical basic science research, drug discovery, and transplantation therapy in organ systems. Stem cell-derived organoids follow a time course similar to species-specific organ gestation in vivo. However, heterogeneous tissue yields, and subjective tissue selection reduce the repeatability of organoid-based scientific experiments and clinical studies. To improve the quality control of organoids, we introduced a live imaging technique based on two-photon microscopy to non-invasively monitor and characterize retinal organoids’ (RtOgs’) long-term development. Fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM) was used to monitor the metabolic trajectory, and hyperspectral imaging was applied to characterize structural and molecular changes. We further validated the live imaging experimental results with endpoint biological tests, including quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR), single-cell RNA sequencing, and immunohistochemistry. With FLIM results, we analyzed the free/bound nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (f/b NADH) ratio of the imaged regions and found that there was a metabolic shift from glycolysis to oxidative phosphorylation. This shift occurred between the second and third months of differentiation. The total metabolic activity shifted slightly back toward glycolysis between the third and fourth months and stayed relatively stable between the fourth and sixth months. Consistency in organoid development among cell lines and production lots was examined. Molecular analysis showed that retinal progenitor genes were expressed in all groups between days 51 and 159. Photoreceptor gene expression emerged around the second month of differentiation, which corresponded to the shift in the f/b NADH ratio. RtOgs between 3 and 6 months of differentiation exhibited photoreceptor gene expression levels that were between the native human fetal and adult retina gene expression levels. The occurrence of cone opsin expression (OPN1 SW and OPN1 LW) indicated the maturation of photoreceptors in the fourth month of differentiation, which was consistent with the stabilized level of f/b NADH ratio starting from 4 months. Endpoint single-cell RNA and immunohistology data showed that the cellular compositions and lamination of RtOgs at different developmental stages followed those in vivo.

End-stage age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and retinitis pigmentosa (RP) are two major retinal degenerative (RD) conditions that result in irreversible vision loss. Permanent eye damage can also occur in battlefields or due to accidents. This suggests there is an unmet need for developing effective strategies for treating permanent retinal damages. In previous studies, co-grafted sheets of fetal retina with its retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) have demonstrated vision improvement in rat retinal disease models and in patients, but this has not yet been attempted with stem-cell derived tissue. Here we demonstrate a cellular therapy for irreversible retinal eye injuries using a “total retina patch” consisting of retinal photoreceptor progenitor sheets and healthy RPE cells on an artificial Bruch’s membrane (BM). For this, retina organoids (ROs) (cultured in suspension) and polarized RPE sheets (cultured on an ultrathin parylene substrate) were made into a co-graft using bio-adhesives [gelatin, growth factor-reduced matrigel, and medium viscosity (MVG) alginate]. In vivo transplantation experiments were conducted in immunodeficient Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) rats at advanced stages of retinal degeneration. Structural reconstruction of the severely damaged retina was observed based on histological assessments and optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging. Visual functional assessments were conducted by optokinetic behavioral testing and superior colliculus electrophysiology. Long-term survival of the co-graft in the rat subretinal space and improvement in visual function were observed. Immunohistochemistry showed that co-grafts grew, generated new photoreceptors and developed neuronal processes that were integrated into the host retina. This novel approach can be considered as a new therapy for complete replacement of a degenerated retina.

Basal stalk rot (BSR), caused by the fungus Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, is a serious disease of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) in the humid temperate growing areas of the world. BSR resistance is quantitative and conditioned by multiple genes. Our objective was to dissect the BSR resistance introduced from the wild annual species Helianthus argophyllus using a quantitative trait loci (QTL) mapping approach. An advanced backcross population (AB-QTL) with 134 lines derived from the cross of HA 89 with a H. argophyllus Torr. and Gray accession, PI 494573, was evaluated for BSR resistance in three field and one greenhouse growing seasons of 2017–2019. Highly significant genetic variations (p < 0.001) were observed for BSR disease incidence (DI) in all field screening tests and disease rating and area under the disease progress curve in the greenhouse. The AB-QTL population and its parental lines were genotyped using the genotyping-by-sequencing method. A genetic linkage map spanning 2,045.14 cM was constructed using 3,110 SNP markers mapped on 17 sunflower chromosomes. A total of 21 QTL associated with BSR resistance were detected on 11 chromosomes, each explaining a phenotypic variation ranging from 4.5 to 22.6%. Of the 21 QTL, eight were detected for BSR DI measured in the field, seven were detected for traits measured in the greenhouse, and six were detected from both field and greenhouse tests. Thirteen of the 21 QTL had favorable alleles from the H. argophyllus parent conferring increased BSR resistance.

Wild Helianthus species are an important genetic resource for sunflower improvement, but sometimes there are adverse interactions between the wild and cultivated sunflowers. This study reports the inheritance of reduced vigor and its restoration resulting from an interaction of perennial Helianthus cytoplasms with nuclear genes of cultivated sunflower lines. The large number of vigor restoration (V) genes identified in cultivated lines are all located at the same locus, designated V1, suggesting a common origin of these genes. Additional V genes derived from the wild perennial species H. giganteus L. and H. hirsutus Raf. are located at a different locus than V1, designated V2. A major difference between the wild annual Helianthus cytoplasms and perennial cytoplasms is the lack of the vigor-reducing cytoplasms, but surprisingly V genes were observed in wild annual H. annuus L. and H. petiolaris Nutt. which were at the same locus as V1. A common vigor-reducing cytoplasmic effect of the perennial Helianthus species and the existence of a common vigor restoration V gene in most perennial Helianthus species could be explained as a result of vigor selection during Helianthus speciation. V1 was mapped on linkage group (LG) 7 of the sunflower genome, using an F2 population derived from MOL-RV/HA 821. V1 co-segregated with an InDel marker ZVG31, with three single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers, SFW01024, SFW07230, and SFW00604, located above it on the map at a genetic distance of 0.8 cM, and another SNP marker, SFW08671, below it at a distance of 0.4 cM. The physical distance between the two closest flanking SNP markers corresponds to 0.56 and 1.37 Mb on the HA 412-HO and XRQ assemblies, respectively. The tightly linked markers will help select normal vigor progenies when using perennial Helianthus cytoplasms in a breeding program, which will also provide a basis for studying the mechanism of the cytonuclear interaction, and the speciation of annual and perennial Helianthus species.

Wild Helianthus species are a valuable genetic resource for the improvement of cultivated sunflower. We report the discovery and characterization of a unique high frequency production of triploids when cultivated sunflower was pollinated by specific accessions of diploid Helianthus nuttallii T. & G. and H. maximiliani Schr. Genomic in situ hybridization (GISH) analyses indicated that the triploid F1s had two genomes from the wild pollen sources and one from the cultivated line. Mitotic chromosome analyses indicated that the frequency of triploid progenies from the crosses of cultivated lines × H. nuttallii accession 102 (N102) was significantly higher than those of unexpected polyploid progenies from the crosses of wild perennial species × N102, and no unexpected polyploids were obtained from the reverse crosses. Pollen stainability analysis suggested the existence of a low percentage of unreduced (2n) male gametes in some accessions, especially N102 and H. maximiliani accession 1113 (M1113), which were generated at the telophase II and tetrad stages of meiosis. The triploid F1s could be the results of preferred fertilization of the low frequency of 2n male gametes with the female gametes of the cultivated sunflower, due to the dosage factors related to recognition and rejection of foreign pollen during fertilization. The triploids have been used to produce amphiploids and aneuploids. Future studies of the male gametes’ fate from pollination through fertilization will further uncover the mechanism of this whole genome transmission. Studies of the genetic control of this trait will facilitate research on sunflower polyploidy speciation and evolution, and the utilization of this trait in sunflower breeding.

Background: Hospitals lack intuitive methods to monitor their accuracy of clinical cancer staging, which is critical to treatment planning, prognosis, refinements, and registering quality data. Methods: We introduce a tabulation framework to compare clinical staging with the reference-standard pathological staging, and quantify systematic errors. As an example, we analyzed 9,644 2016 U.S. National Cancer Institute SEER surgically-treated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cases, and computed concordance with different denominators to compare with incompatible past results. Results: The concordance for clinical versus pathological lymph node N-stage is very good, 83.4 ± 1.0%, but the tumor length-location T-stage is only 58.1 ± 0.9%. There are intuitive insights to the causes of discordance. Approximately 29% of the cases are pathological T-stage greater than clinical T-stage, and 12% lower than the clinical T-stage, which is due partly to the fact that surgically-treated NSCLC are typically lower-stage cancer cases, which results in a bounded higher probability for pathological upstaging. Individual T-stage categories Tis, T1a, T1b, T2a, T2b, T3, T4 invariant percent-concordances are 85.2 ± 9.7 + 10.3%; 72.7 ± 1.6 + 11.3%; 46.6 ± 1.8 + 10.9%; 54.6 ± 1.6 – 20.5%; 41.6 ± 3.3 – 0.1%; 54.7 ± 2.8 – 24.1%; 55.2 ± 4.7 + 2.6%, respectively. Each percent-concordance is referenced to an averaged number of pathological and clinical cases. The first error number quantifies statistical fluctuations; the second quantifies clinical and pathological staging biases. Lastly, comparison of over and under staging versus clinical characteristics provides further insights. Conclusions: Clinical NSCLC staging accuracy and concordance with pathological values can improve. As a first step, the framework enables standardizing comparing staging results and detecting possible problem areas. Cancer hospitals and registries can implement the efficient framework to monitor staging accuracy.

The retina is a complex and fragile photosensitive part of the central nervous system which is prone to degenerative diseases leading to permanent vision loss. No proven treatment strategies exist to treat or reverse the degenerative conditions. Recent investigations demonstrate that cell transplantation therapies to replace the dysfunctional retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) cells and or the degenerating photoreceptors (PRs) are viable options to restore vision. Pluripotent stem cells, retinal progenitor cells, and somatic stem cells are the main cell sources used for cell transplantation therapies. The success of retinal transplantation based on cell suspension injection is hindered by limited cell survival and lack of cellular integration. Recent advances in material science helped to develop strategies to grow cells as intact monolayers or as sheets on biomaterial scaffolds for transplantation into the eyes. Such implants are found to be more promising than the bolus injection approach. Tissue engineering techniques are specifically designed to construct biodegradable or non-degradable polymer scaffolds to grow cells as a monolayer and construct implantable grafts. The engineered cell construct along with the extracellular matrix formed, can hold the cells in place to enable easy survival, better integration, and improved visual function. This article reviews the advances in the use of scaffolds for transplantation studies in animal models and their application in current clinical trials.

Sclerotinia basal stalk rot (BSR) and downy mildew are major diseases of sunflowers worldwide. Breeding for BSR resistance traditionally relies upon cultivated sunflower germplasm that has only partial resistance thus lacking an effective resistance against the pathogen. In this study, we report the transfer of BSR resistance from sunflower wild species, Helianthus praecox, into cultivated sunflower and molecular assessment of the introgressed segments potentially associated with BSR resistance using the genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS) approach. Eight highly BSR-resistant H. praecox introgression lines (ILs), H.pra 1 to H.pra 8, were developed. The mean BSR disease incidence (DI) for H.pra 1 to H.pra 8 across environments for four years ranged from 1.2 to 11.1%, while DI of Cargill 270 (susceptible check), HA 89 (recurrent parent), HA 441 and Croplan 305 (resistant checks) was 36.1, 31.0, 19.5, and 11.6%, respectively. Molecular assessment using GBS detected the presence of H. praecox chromosome segments in chromosomes 1, 8, 10, 11, and 14 of the ILs. Both shared and unique polymorphic SNP loci were detected throughout the entire genomes of the ILs, suggesting the successful transfer of common and novel introgression regions that are potentially associated with BSR resistance. Downy mildew (DM) disease screening and molecular tests revealed that a DM resistance gene, Pl17, derived from one of the inbred parent HA 458 was present in four ILs. Introgression germplasms possessing resistance to both Sclerotinia BSR and DM will extend the useful diversity of the primary gene pool in the fight against two destructive sunflower diseases.

Dysfunction and death of retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) and or photoreceptors can lead to irreversible vision loss. The eye represents an ideal microenvironment for stem cell-based therapy. It is considered an “immune privileged” site, and the number of cells needed for therapy is relatively low for the area of focused vision (macula). Further, surgical placement of stem cell-derived grafts (RPE, retinal progenitors, and photoreceptor precursors) into the vitreous cavity or subretinal space has been well established. For preclinical tests, assessments of stem cell-derived graft survival and functionality are conducted in animal models by various noninvasive approaches and imaging modalities. In vivo experiments conducted in animal models based on replacing photoreceptors and/or RPE cells have shown survival and functionality of the transplanted cells, rescue of the host retina, and improvement of visual function. Based on the positive results obtained from these animal experiments, human clinical trials are being initiated. Despite such progress in stem cell research, ethical, regulatory, safety, and technical difficulties still remain a challenge for the transformation of this technique into a standard clinical approach. In this review, the current status of preclinical safety and efficacy studies for retinal cell replacement therapies conducted in animal models will be discussed.

Basal stalk rot (BSR), caused by the ascomycete fungus (Lib.) de Bary, is a serious disease of sunflower ( L.) in the cool and humid production areas of the world. Quantitative trait loci (QTL) for BSR resistance were identified in a sunflower recombinant inbred line (RIL) population derived from the cross HA 441 × RHA 439. A genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS) approach was adapted to discover single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers. A genetic linkage map was developed comprised of 1053 SNP markers on 17 linkage groups (LGs) spanning 1401.36 cM. The RILs were tested in five environments (locations and years) for resistance to BSR. Quantitative trait loci were identified in each environment separately and also with integrated data across environments. A total of six QTL were identified in all five environments: one of each on LGs 4, 9, 10, 11, 16, and 17. The most significant QTL, and , were identified at multiple environments on LGs 10 and 17, explaining 31.6 and 20.2% of the observed phenotypic variance, respectively. The remaining four QTL, , , , and , were detected in only one environment on LGs 4, 9, 11, and 16, respectively. Each of these QTL explains between 6.4 and 10.5% of the observed phenotypic variation in the RIL population. Alleles conferring increased resistance were contributed by both parents. The potential of the and in marker-assisted selection (MAS) breeding are discussed.

Although cyberbullying as a serious social problem has received significant attention within the mass media as well as among researchers, experiences of cyberbullying among children in the U.S. are still occurring (Dean, 2012; Salazar, 2010). The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between social factors (i.e., sociability, social networking site use, Internet use via cell phones), risky online behaviors (i.e., lying about age, sexting, and harassing others), children’s emotional attachment to interactions within SNS, and parental involvement in children’s online social lives on the likelihood of being victims of cyberbullying as well as offline bullying. We found that increased sociability and parental involvement decreased the likelihood of being both cyberbullied and being bullied offline; daily SNS use, Internet use via cell phones, emotional attachment to interactions within SNS, and engaging in risky online behaviors increased the likelihood of being both cyberbullied and bullied offline. The findings suggest (1) cyberbullying is not categorically distinct from offline bullying; (2) future research is necessary to explore the qualitative impact of various risky online behaviors on both online and offline bullying; and (3) research is necessary to further understand the qualitative dimensions of parental involvement and emotional investment in online social life in decreasing online and offline bullying.

As human embryonic stem cell (hESC) lines can be derived via multiple means, it is important to determine particular characteristics of individual lines that may dictate the applications to which they are best suited. The objective of this work was to determine points of equivalence and differences between conventionally-derived hESC and parthenote-derived hESC lines (phESC) in the undifferentiated state and during neural differentiation.hESC and phESC were exposed to the same expansion conditions and subsequent neural and retinal pigmented epithelium (RPE) differentiation protocols. Growth rates and gross morphology were recorded during expansion. RTPCR for developmentally relevant genes and global DNA methylation profiling were used to compare gene expression and epigenetic characteristics. Parthenote lines proliferated more slowly than conventional hESC lines and yielded lower quantities of less mature differentiated cells in a neural progenitor cell (NPC) differentiation protocol. However, the cell lines performed similarly in a RPE differentiation protocol. The DNA methylation analysis showed similar general profiles, but the two cell types differed in methylation of imprinted genes. There were no major differences in gene expression between the lines before differentiation, but when differentiated into NPCs, the two cell types differed in expression of extracellular matrix (ECM) genes.These data show that hESC and phESC are similar in the undifferentiated state, and both cell types are capable of differentiation along neural lineages. The differences between the cell types, in proliferation and extent of differentiation, may be linked, in part, to the observed differences in ECM synthesis and methylation of imprinted genes.
