This article analyzes Reverse Logistics (RL) practices associated with the concept of Circular Economy (CE), comparing studies conducted before and after the implementation of the National Solid Waste Policy (NSWP) in Brazil. Data from companies in the Sul Fluminense region were analyzed using the Analytic Hierarchy Process to prioritize RL practices and identify those related to CE. The research included companies from nine Brazilian economic sectors that engage in some form of RL. The comparison of results aimed to evaluate the influence of the NSWP on these practices, with data analyzed using the Super Decisions software (version 3.2) to establish priorities and aggregate them using the Aggregating Individual Priorities method. It was observed that the implementation of the NSWP in 2010 emphasized the importance of sustainability. Although the concept of CE is recent, its operationalization is based on consolidated RL practices such as recycling, remanufacturing, and material reuse. This paper presents a new hybrid decision-making support method (New Hesitant Fuzzy AHP-QFD-PROMETHEE II Method), which jointly uses the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and the Preference Ranking Method for Enrichment Evaluation (PROMETHEE II), as well as the Hesitant Fuzzy Linguistic Term Sets (HFLTS) to capture hesitation and aggregate divergent opinions from different experts. A real application of the new method to a packaging design selection problem for an automotive company is described, finding that AHP assisted in determining the importance of QFD's customer requirements (CRs) and PROMETHEE II was used to select the best packaging design. With this same problem, for the purpose of validating the proposed method, a comparative analysis was made with the use of the Hesitant Fuzzy AHP-QFD-TOPSIS method and also with the traditional AHP-QFD-PROMETHEE method, which makes it impossible to capture the hesitation of decision makers. The result showed similarity in the rankings of design alternatives found in the three methods application. The proposed method proved advantageous for solving problems that can generally be solved with the QFD House of Quality but have serious difficulties when decision makers have divergent opinions and hesitate in evaluating criteria and alternatives. The Green & Lean Manufacturing organisational strategy emphasises waste and environmental impact reduction, efficiency increase, quality improvement, and cycle time reduction by eliminating non-value-added activities. Usually, companies adopt the Manufacturing Cycle Efficiency indicator to identify and make improvements to meet Lean Manufacturing requirements. This work proposes an innovative approach based on Multiple Criteria Data Envelopment Analysis to calculate a new indicator, hereby called Value-Added Activities in Manufacturing Processes, to measure the efficiency of productive processes through Green Manufacturing concepts. This new indicator was applied in a company with the purpose of validating and testing it. The Levene's test was used to statistically validate the proposed procedure. As an immediate advantage of this new indicator, it was possible for managers to insert more information, such as incorporating aspects associated with Green Manufacturing, in the calculation of the Manufacturing Cycle Efficiency, making it more consistent and representative of what is happening in practice. Among this additional piece of information on the real processes analysed, it is worth mentioning, for example, the volume of scrap generated, the amount of sales invoicing, the quantity of work in process, and the quantity of finished products in stock. Specialists in Green & Lean Manufacturing, managers of the studied company, validated the results of the new indicator because they observed greater adherence to the practice of these new calculated values, when compared to the traditionally adopted calculations. Also highlighted, are other advantages of the new indicator such as the establishment of an efficiency ranking between the productive processes analysed and the determination of feasible goals to turn processes identified as inefficient into efficient ones. A discussion is currently under way in the literature on the sustainable benefits of recycling material, particularly paper, which has high global consumption and polluting capacity. Optimized planning of waste paper recycling networks stimulates sustainable processing efficiency, motivating the investigation of quantitative methods to guide decision-making. The objective of this article is to review papers that present quantitative models for planning waste paper recycling networks considering optimization of the echelons of this process, to analyze the evolution of research, find research opportunities and contribute to future research. The article presents an analysis of five categories of the selected studies: I—evolution of publications; II—echelons considered in different waste paper recycling systems; III—the sustainability pillars considered in the objectives of the formulated model; IV—formulations and techniques used; and V—uncertainty analysis. The proposal for waste paper recycling networks involves summary of the echelons considered in selected articles, to help future analysis. Research suggestions involving sustainability objectives, especially considering social issues, using different solution techniques and considering uncertainty were identified. This study, by reviewing the articles and identifying possibilities for future research, contributes to the development of research using quantitative methods for the efficient management of waste paper recycling networks or similar arrangements. To identify the relationship between leadership and knowledge management (KM) reported in academic publications, a systematic review of the articles contained in the Web of Science platform from 1996 to 2019 was carried out. The information obtained clarifies the relevance of the theme and the ideas described lead to results supported by studies on the competence of the leader and organizational psychology that confirm the relationship between the constructs. The conclusion presents an agenda for future studies, in order to fill the gaps identified by the diagnosis of the research questions and with the possibility of describing, through a more detailed analysis, the characteristics of the leaders associated with the KM process that allowed to present the profile of the leader in that context. Global warming, as many other threats, requires more activity from the government, and people inquire about this, rightfully so. However, the public and private sectors nowadays have a joint responsibility with society. Global warming has come out of the scientific community and shows that climate change is an important social, economic, and political issue. Currently the carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) emissions by transportation sector are the main polluter of the planet. For this reason, in this paper we propose a reflection on transport, which is an important sector of the economy, responsible for the generation of many jobs and wealth but, at the same time, it has negative impacts on people, companies, and the environment. Recent investigations demonstrate that mobility problems affects the life quality of the people, business productivity and gross domestic product (GDP) performance. In the face of the changes that we are experiencing, it is important to find alternatives that assistance governments in the decision-making to solve the problem of traffic in large and medium-size cities and bring well-being to the population. The goal is to provide accurate tool to help take the best decisions in situations that most of the time has a lack of economic resources and transparency. Another motivation is to increase the productivity of companies and achieve sustainable development by reducing mobility problems and CO 2 emissions. As outcomes of the paper, an in-depth study is presented on the subject that indicates a gap in the literature with fuzzy logic applied to sustainability. We indicate a sustainable option for the transport sector using algorithms for decision-making, and broaden the discussion on climate change and solutions to reduce the impacts caused by humanity. When the models were applied through a conceptual study, it was possible to provide an instrument generated on the use of algorithms that can aid decision-making by getting qualitative data from a discussion with stakeholders on a topic. Finally, the document identifies the importance of the participation of stakeholder, reinforces legitimacy and transparency in decision-making processes and above all present a tool that can help governments to solve this problem. In short, this work proposes an original and valuable tool to be applied in the decision-making process for the sustainable transport sector based on the stakeholder engagement. Environmental issues have changed the behavior of society and, consequently, the business environment. This has narrow approach with Knowledge Management techniques (KM) to promote their processes. However, despite the increase in research in this field, there is still lack of further study in the KM interface and the business environment, as suggested by several researchers. This work, in particular, seeks to identify the main gaps in the literature involving KM and Reverse Logistics (LR), and proposes relevant studies and hitherto insufficiently treated in the literature. A comparative study was used to outline the literature in the research topic. This paper aims to present a bibliometric study ofmulti-criteria decision-making methods most applied in publications from 1990 to 2014. Our research presented relations of papers published in the Web of Science Core Collection, regarding the following keywords Analytic Hierarchy Process and Supply Chain. The research evidenced that the Analytic Hierarchy Process has been the method mostapplied in publications from 1993. It also showed the analysis of the predecessor and successor citation network for the selected publications under topics as supplier selection, supply development, performance measurement and value chain through the CitNetExplore software. In August 2010, it was sanctioned a National Solid Waste Policy (PNRS - Política Nacional de Resíduos Sólidos) that features innovations as the Reverse Logistics which determines that manufacturers, importers, distributors and retailers must perform the collection of used packaging. Thus, what is the actual difficulty of companies in meeting the requirements of the PNRS? The purpose of this article is to propose a management model that uses Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and the WEB to assist in the integration of all stages of Supply Chains of electronic products and their components. It is an applied research with a qualitative approach where, after a critical analysis of the PNRS, a literature review was conducted involving the state of the art in Supply Chain Management, the ICT and the development of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. The application of the proposed model in supply chains of electronic appliances through environmental protection and a direct interaction with the ultimate consumer offers enterprises a competitive advantage and can minimize financial losses associated with fines and violations. The following stages of this research include the development of a WEB portal with the proposed model and its availability for government use, thus enabling its practical application trials. Cultural, economical, political, and social developments, added to population increases, favored the consolidation of cities. However, rapid city growth in the last decades has contrasted with the slowness in which states and municipalities responded to the new reality. In this sense, the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), a leading multiple criteria decision-making (MCDM) method, can be applied in the solution of common demands among municipalities, evaluating alternative plans for urban mobility. Since AHP has been applied to these specific decision problems, our research question is: How has AHP been applied to solve decision problems regarding urban mobility? The objective of this work is to identify the state of the art of AHP applications to urban mobility. To answer the research question, this paper presents a literature review (LR). State of the art review (SAR) is an LR approach expected to deliver results with medium comprehensiveness and results closer to exhaustive. With the support of graphical software, three clusters were identified, in the keywords network: AHP, Innovation & Public Management, and Urban Mobility. In the AHP cluster, research is driven by methodological subjects; on Innovation & Public Management, there is an open discussion on local versus national coordination; and the urban mobility cluster has hybrid or non-AHP applications of MCDM.
