Abstract Based on a generalization of the Hilfer–Katugampola fractional operator, recently introduced, and the Weyl fractional derivative, which are responsible to describe the memory and distance effects, respectively, we investigate the anomalous diffusion in processes in which fractional radial differential equation plays an important and fundamental rule. Similarity solutions for this fractional space–time radial equation are considered. These solutions are presented in terms of the Fox's H -function. As an application, we present and discuss a special case in fractal Hausdorff dimension. The regeneration of the planarianGirardia tigrinawas evaluated over different oxidative conditions, as pro oxidant (H2O2), antioxidant (vitamin C) and using aloe gel. The aloes plants have a millennial medicinal use and the succulent portion of leaf, called aloe gel, is used for wound healing. Here we analyze the action of aloe gel obtained from two species:Aloe veraandA. arborescens. The results shows that ROS are important in the regeneration ofG. tigrinaand that the initial exposition to H2O2, soon after transection, accelerate the regeneration. However, during regeneration process an antioxidant medium, as containing vitamin C, promotes acceleration of regeneration, even if less intensely. Aloes extracts promotes acceleration of regeneration in this planarian. No differences were observed among portions of cells in phases of cell cycle, with exception of worms exposed toA.veraextracts at 0.4% that show more cells in G2 phases, suggesting a faster cell cycling. No toxic effect was observed for the aloes extracts in planarians. Instead, was observed an increase in the survival rate in treated animals. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]

The bounding of the two-parameter Mittag-Leffler function is discussed. As a particular consequence, we present two proofs for a sum involving a three-parameter Mittag-Leffler function. The concept is presented of converters integrated in such a way as to obtain, in a single conversion stage, the maximum energy extraction from photovoltaic panels, battery charging and discharging dynamic control, and high voltage step-up to the inverter DC bus, also operating with soft-switching capability. Although this idea can be applied to most of the high voltage gain topologies, this presented report is based on structures derived from the half-bridge boost converter. Thus, a 500 W prototype, with input voltage of 24 V and output voltage of 200 V, has been developed with the purpose of obtaining experimental results and validating the proposed concept. High efficiency is achieved, above 92.5%, confirming the expected operation and functionalities necessary for the proposed application. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract: This paper presents a new linear active power flow solution method. The new linear active power flow presents a better performance to calculate MW power flows, as opposed to MW flows, calculated in classical model with a DC power flow. The aforesaid proposed method is based on a decoupling principle. Therefore, the voltage angles and voltage magnitudes are calculate in decoupled forms. A complete demonstration of the proposed method is presented. The algorithm of new method has been tested by extensive numerical studies. This paper gives details of the method''s performance on various classical systems. All the results are compared with those from the Newton–Raphson power flow and classical DC power flow.
