The present study is part of a broader investigation of remarriage with the ex-spouse, aimed to understand how the expression of love, from the components of the triangular theory of love, contributes to the reconstruction of this type of relationship. A qualitative research was carried out, in which 12 independent subjects were interviewed, from the middle classes of the population of Rio de Janeiro, heterosexual, married to the ex-spouse, with at least one child in common. To analyze the results, the content analysis method was used, discussing the category attributes of love and its subcategories: intimacy, passion and decision / commitment. There was a natural protection to the relationship through the attributes of the components of intimacy and decision / commitment, forming companion love, reinforced by genuine donation. The purpose of this article was to investigate the establishment of the parent-child bond in late adoption. The authors conducted a case study based on data collected in a semi-structured interview with an adoptive mother. The researchers noted the importance of the mother showing herself available to face the needs of the child, allowing for experiences previous to the adoption to be repaired. By a Winnicottian approach, the authors highlighted that, same as in cases of biological gestation; adoptive parents must experience the state of primary maternal preoccupation, even if it happens late, offering a healthy holding environment for the child. The researchers also observed that mother and daughter placed themselves in the relationship, building an emotional bond in a mutual fashion. The preparation of aspiring adoptive parents was shown essential to face the challenges of establishing a parent-child bold, a path in which Adoption Support Groups also played an important supporting role. The present study is part of a broader research on conjugality and parenthood in the remarriage and aims to investigate the interaction between the stepmother, her stepchildren and their mothers. For that, a qualitative research was carried out, in which 16 stepmothers of the middle socioeconomic segment, aged between 28 and 43 years, were interviewed. The results were analyzed according to the content analysis method in its categorical aspect. Six categories of analysis emerged from the material. To achieve the objectives formulated in this work, the category stepmother-stepchild mother triad will be discussed. It was found out that the interaction in the triad is influenced by the process related to the previous separation mourning process, by the gender roles and the stereotype of the irreplaceable mother.
