Introduction: Recently, imidazooxazines have attracted more attention due to their therapeutic potential against tuberculosis (TB). The present study aimed to identify and develop potential inhibitors against Pks13-TE to combat the antimicrobial drug resistance of TB. Methods: Computer-aided drug design is a more highly valued technology than the traditional drug discovery approach. Herein, we computationally investigated a chemical dataset using QSAR models and virtually screened novel leads of imidazooxazines against the thioesterase domain, further subjecting them to molecular docking and dynamics simulation. Results: The present study identified two molecules, 1 and 3, promising leads with minimum energy conformations of −7.63 and −7.62 kcal, respectively, providing structural insight into Pks13 inhibition. The average values of MolSA, SASA, and PSA for molecules 1 and 3 were 382.41 Å, 77.65 Å, and 195.54 Å and 386.24 Å, 71.105 Å, and 184.46 Å, respectively. In conclusion, our research has demonstrated that imidazoxazines are promising leads to combat the resistance problem of TB. Among the two potent molecules 1 and 3, molecule 1 displayed favourable interactions in the active site with good stability, as confirmed by the RMSD, RMSF, RoG, H-bond, and SASA analyses. The Molecule 1 protein complex showed two strong hydrogen bonds, effectively maintained for 80–85 % of the simulation time, indicating its stability and potency. Conclusion: The identified two molecules and their conformations were highly stable; hence, these findings provide valuable insight into the evolution of new therapeutic agents to address the growing problem of TB and its resistance.

Exploration of blend polymer membrane with desire performances is a highly essential research topic because it makes them as key component of the battery technologies. However, the blend membrane cannot simultaneously meet out the high electrical insulation and ion conductivity. Here, we report porous PVdF-HFP based polymer membrane blended with P123 polymer which is prepared by phase inversion technique and along with solution casting technique for comparison. Especially, the major improvements can be claimed with porous PVdF-HFP blend with P123 matrix by phase inversion process that could be mainly due to increasing the disorganize crystallinity of the PVdF-HFP, thereby enhancing the ionic conductivity of PVdF-HFP/P123 than the same prepared by traditional solution casting. More importantly, our studies reveals that, besides having an effect of crystallinity and high ionic conduction PVdF-HFP/P123 blend matrix yield homogeneous pores with higher pore density when prepared by phase inversion approach. We attribute this to remarkable enhancement in higher electrolyte uptake and higher cation transport in the blend membrane. This facilitates high ionic conductivity of 7.06 × 10−5 S/cm and electrochemical stability of 2.8 V,while the solution casting approach display low ionic conductivity of 1.63 × 10−6 S/cm and electrochemical stability of 2.2 V, respectively. A symmetric supercapacitor device is fabricated with the membrane prepared by phase inversion process, resulting in a high specific capacitance of 80 F/g at the current density of 0.25 A/g with 90.51% specific capacitance retention at 0.5 A/g. The energy density of 90.9 W/kg can be achieved at the power density of 0.375 W/kg.

Background: Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) is considered to be the standard procedure in patients with large renal calculus. The purpose of this study is to analyze the evidence-based literature regarding the “nephrostomy-free” or “tubeless” PCNL and to assess the safety, efficacy, possibility, and benefits of tubeless PCNL over standard PCNL. Aims and Objectives: The aim of the study was to review and compare tubeless PCNL with standard PCNL. Materials and Methods: It is a retrospective study done between August 2021 and December 2022. 100 cases of stone disease with stone size more than 2 cm who underwent PCNL in the Department of Urology, Govt hospital, Salem. Patients are divided into two groups (Group A and Group B) of 50 each depending on date of surgery. Results: In our study, we compared tubeless PCNL versus standard PCNL in patients with stone disease. Tubeless PCNL was performed with success in patients of age 13 years–65 years. 36 were female patients, whereas 64 were male patients in this study. All the results were presented in a tabulated form in our study. Conclusion: Tubeless PCNL is a safe and effective technique and is associated with decreased pain, low analgesic requirement, less operating time, and faster recovery. However, it has its own limitation that precludes secondary procedure for the treatment, removal of internal stent, dysuria, and need to visit hospital for subsequent removal of internal stent.

Background: Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) is the preferred treatment of choice for renal calculi. PCNL has evolved remarkably since the eighties when it was first described. PCNL is the treatment of choice for renal stones ≥2 cm. Aims and Objectives: Our aim is to observe the various surgical outcomes of different types of PCNL. Materials and Methods: It is an observational study conducted in our institute a total of 160 pts of renal stone disease who presented to the outpatient department were included in the study. All patients underwent PCNL either in supine or prone position. The parameters such as stone free rate, body mass index (BMI), stone size, operative time, length of stay (LOS), in hospital, and complications were observed. Results: There were no significant differences in stone size between supine and prone PCNL patients. The supine group had a higher mean BMI, shorter mean surgical time, shorter mean LOS, and higher stone free rate. Prone PCNL patients had a higher rate of overall complications. Conclusion: PCNL is one of the best modalities for renal stones management, with supine and modified supine PCNL demonstrating better results in obese patients, and may be considered by all surgeons performing PCNLs.

In this paper, we introduce orthogonal generalized O-α-ψ-Geraghty contractive type mappings and prove some fixed point theorems in O-complete O-b-metric spaces. We also provide an illustrative example to support our theorem. The results proved here will be utilized to show the existence of a solution to an integral equation as an application.

In this article, we present the concepts of $ \mathbb{O} $-generalized $ \mathfrak{F} $-contraction of type-$ (1) $, type-$ (2) $ and prove several fixed point theorems for a self mapping in $ \mathfrak{b} $- metric-like space. The proved results generalize and extend some of the well known results in the literature. An example to support our result is presented. As an application of our results, we demonstrate the existence of a unique solution to an integral equation.

Energy Management System (EMS) plays a vital role in an international marine shipboard, due to their increased energy demand. The main purpose of this research work is to develop a new energy management system for satisfying the load demand of ship board applications. For accomplishing this objective, an advanced controlling mechanism, named as, Dandelion Optimized Network Control (DONC) is developed in this work. Also, the hybridized energy source including the fuel cell and battery storage are used in this design, where the fuel cell is main source of energy, and the battery storage is used as the supplementary storage device. Moreover, two different converter topologies such as interleaved zeta converter for fuel cell and bi-directional converter for battery storage are implemented in this study. The main purpose of using these converters are to effectively boost the output voltage of hybridized energy sources with reduced ripple current and distortions. The proposed DONC integrates the functions of DO technique as well as FNN for predicting the output power of fuel cell. During this process, the Fictitious Neural Network (FNN) technique obtains the input parameters of load demand power and battery SoC, and produces the predicted power of fuel cell for an effective energy management in electric ship board. In this mechanism, the weight value of FNN is optimally computed with the use of DO algorithm. The key benefits of the proposed DONC are increased efficiency, proper energy management according to the load demand, and reliable for ship applications. During simulation analysis, the load demand and fuel cell power are estimated with the normal, high, and low battery SoC states. The findings indicate that the proposed DONC can effectively manage and control the energy need of electric ship with the hybridized energy system.

In this paper, we investigate an orthogonal L⋆-contraction map concept and prove the fixed-point theorem in an orthogonal complete Branciari metric space (OCBMS). We also provide illustrative examples to support our theorems. We demonstrated the existence of a uniqueness solution to the fourth-order differential equation using a more orthogonal L⋆ contraction operator in OCBMS as an application of the main results.

Lean NOx trap (LNT) is an after-treatment technology that targets NOx emissions from an IC Engine and reduces it by using fuel as the reductant. The main mechanisms involved in this process are (i) oxidation of NO into NO2, (ii) Entrapment of NO2 over an alkali Earth metal in the form of nitrates, and (iii) Regeneration and reduction of NO2. The oxidation and reduction reactions are usually performed over rare Platinum Group Metals (PGM). The alternate cycling of operation modes helps in the regeneration and reduction stage due to the presence of unburnt hydrocarbons and carbon monoxides. These HC and CO generated during profitable operation can reduce agents similar to ammonia in SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction). In the case of LNT, the fuel-injected for reduction imposes a penalty on the system. Cobalt-based perovskites with the chemical formula “ACoO3” (where “A” denotes Ba, Sr, etc.) show excellent absorption and reduction tendencies towards NOx and are highly suited for LNT as they have higher NO oxidation capacity. This research experimented with two different coating procedures (with and without binder) with three other perovskite catalysts–BaCoO3, SrCoO3, and Ba0.5Sr0.5CoO3. Both the coatings were tested for their adherence, and it revealed that the binder-less layer had only 4% coating loss after 2 hrs of sonication. BaCoO3 showed higher NOx absorption due to the higher electropositive nature of barium. The peak conversion efficiency attained in this experiment was 84% at a catalyst temperature of 350°C and 40% load condition.

In this article, we present an orthogonal L-contraction mapping concepts and prove a fixed point theorem on orthogonal complete Branciari metric spaces. As an application, we apply our major results to solving integral equations.

In this article, we modify the symmetry of orthogonal metric spaces and we prove common fixed point theorems via simulation functions in orthogonal Rectangular metric spaces. We also provide an illustrative example to support our results. The derived results have been applied to find analytical solutions to integral equations. The analytical solutions are verified with a numerical simulation.

The prediction of wind speed plays a significant role in wind energy systems. An accurate prediction of wind speed is more important for wind energy systems, but it is difficult due to its uncertain nature. This paper presents three artificial neural networks namely, Back Propagation Network (BPN), Radial Basis Function (RBF) and Nonlinear AutoRegressive model process with eXogenous inputs (NARX) with Mutual Information (MI) feature selection for wind speed prediction. The MI feature selection identifies the significant features and reduces the complexity of wind speed prediction model without loss of information content. The performance of prediction model is evaluated in terms of Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) and Mean Absolute Error (MAE). The results show that the performance of all three neural network models are highly satisfied. Moreover, NARX model with mutual information feature selection is more accurate in dealing with wind speed prediction.

Objectives. The study aimed to investigate the impact of skill-based maximal-intensity interval training on cardiovascular and muscular performance variables in male hockey players. Materials and methods. For this study, a group of 24 male hockey players were carefully selected. The participants were divided into two groups: SBT (n = 12) and CG (n = 12). A 12-week programme was carried out, comprising skill-specific, high-intensity interval training sessions that took place three times per week. Data was gathered prior to and following the study. The variables selected for evaluating consisted of a 20-meter, 30-meter, and 50-meter sprint, along with agility, speed endurance, and cardiovascular endurance. Pre and post data were subjected to statistical analyses. Results. The findings of statistical analyses indicate a significant positive impact due to performing the 12-week skill-based intensive training. The SBT group consistently demonstrated superior performance compared to the CG group. This was evident through their significantly faster completion times in distances of 20 m, 30 m, and 50 m, as well as their agility tasks. Additionally, the SBT group achieved higher scores in endurance measures. The effect sizes observed in the study were quite significant, indicating substantial differences between the groups. Furthermore, it is noteworthy that the CG group did not exhibit any marked changes from the pre-test to the post-test in any measure. Conclusions. After a period of 12 weeks, it has been observed that skill-based maximal-intensity interval training leads to significant improvements in both anaerobic and aerobic performance. This training is essential for athletes as they prepare for the end of the season. According to the study, it is recommended that hockey and other coaches focus their efforts on skill-based maximal-intensity interval training. While this study did not specifically assess technical abilities, it found that this training technique significantly enhanced physical performance. This research and training could prove advantageous for athletes and coaches who prioritise honing their skills.
