Compared with traditional lithium-ion batteries, all-solid-state lithium-metal batteries (ASS LMBs) have attracted much attention due to their high safety and high energy density. However, the solid-solid contact of electrodes with solid electrolyte brings large interfacial impedance. Besides, the active lithium metal reacts with most solid electrolytes,leading to unstable interface. So interfacial problem has been one of the key issues to limit the development of ASS LMBs. Solid composite electrolytes with the advantages of inorganic solid electrolytes and organic solid electrolytes, have higher ionic conductivity and certain mechanical strength, showing excellent promising in the light of practical application. The research progress on interface amelioration of solid composite electrolyte and lithium anode was summalized in this review. The main strategy includes constructing a "soft contact" at the interface, adjusting the mechanical performance of the solid electrolyte and tuning the deposition dynamics of lithium ions. Furthermore, the perspectives on interfacial modification were presented.

A miniaturized dual-band quadruple inverted-F antenna with size of ${\text{0.1}}\lambda _{0}\times {\text{0.1}}\lambda _{0}\times {\text{0.04}}\lambda _{0}$ is presented in this letter. The proposed structure consists of an array of four sequentially rotated inverted-F elements with quadrature excitations for circular polarization. Two methods are utilized to reduce the antenna size, including folding the radiating elements into spiral and meander shapes and introducing the coupling between adjacent elements. This antenna operates in the global positioning system (GPS) L1 and L2 bands, and the maximum gain performances in the two bands can be adjusted separately. The experimental results confirm that the obtained 10 dB impedance, 3 dB axial-ratio, and 3 dB realized gain bandwidths can fully cover the GPS L1/L2 bands. This letter presents a compact circularly polarized patch antenna with wide axial-ratio (AR) beamwidth. The simulation reveals that by etching two pairs of asymmetric slots on the patch and loading coupled strips, the phase differences between the radiated orthogonal fields become flatter and maintain approximately at 90° over a wide angular range; hence, a wide AR beamwidth is achieved. Experimental results agree well with the simulation results. Particularly, this antenna achieves a wide AR beamwidth of 188° in both the principal and diagonal planes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper presents a systematic investigation of the capacitive human body communication (HBC). The measurement of HBC channels is performed using a novel battery-powered system to eliminate the effects of baluns, cables and instruments. To verify the measured results, a numerical model incorporating the entire HBC system is established. Besides, it is demonstrated that both the impedance and path gain bandwidths of HBC channels is affected by the electrode configuration. Based on the analysis of the simulated electric field distribution, an equivalent circuit model is proposed and the circuit parameters are extracted using the finite element method. The transmission capability along the human body is also studied. The simulated results using the numerical and circuit models coincide very well with the measurement, which demonstrates that the proposed circuit model can effectively interpret the operation mechanism of the capacitive HBC. Objective To analyze clinical and pathological characteristics of mitochondrial myopathy (MM) in 15 patients, and to study the value of simplified serum lactic acid exercise test in the screening of mitochondrial myopathy. Methods A total of 15 patients with mitochondrial myopathy diagnosed clinically and pathologically, 11 patients with other muscular diseases (OM), and 21 normal controls were collected. All subjects went up and down stairs for 5 min with medium effort. Blood samples for serum lactic acid detection were collected from all subjects before exercise, immediately after exercise and 10 min after exercise. Serum lactic acid levels were compared among 3 groups and among 3 time points. Results Patients with mitochondrial myopathy mainly presented as paroxysmally progressive muscular soreness and weakness. Histopathological examination showed there were 8 cases with the proportion of ragged red fibers (RRF) more than 5%. Serum lactic acid level before exercise, immediately after exercise and 10 min after exercise were (3.57 ± 1.88), (10.98 ± 4.84) and (7.87 ± 4.38) mmol/L in MM group, (1.89 ± 0.98), (6.05 ±4.07) and (4.13 ± 3.14) mmol/L in OM group, (1.91 ± 0.53), (3.37 ± 1.22) and (2.52 ± 0.89) mmol/L in control group. Serum lactic acid level in MM group was significantly higher than that in control and OM groups before exercise (P = 0.000, 0.001), immediately after exercise (P = 0.000, 0.001), and 10 min after exercise (P = 0.000, 0.003). Serum lactic acid level in OM group was significantly higher than that in control group immediately after exercise (P = 0.042). Serum lactic acid level in 3 groups immediately after exercise (P = 0.000, 0.000, 0.003) and 10 min after exercise (P = 0.000, 0.000, 0.013) was significantly higher than that before exercise. Serum lactic acid level immediately after exercise was significantly higher than that 10 min after exercise in 3 groups (P = 0.000, 0.000, 0.003). Serum lactic acid level had most obvious elevation in MM group, while had flattest elevation in control group. Conclusions Simplified serum lactic acid exercise test is useful in the screening of mitochondrial myopathy, especially in primary hospitals. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper presents a novel miniaturized antenna with a dual-band resonance covering the medical body-area network (MBAN) and a 5.8-GHz industrial scientific medical band. Owning to its stacked-patch structure, the proposed antenna generates an omnidirectional radiation pattern with vertical polarization and a broadside radiation pattern with circular polarization at the two bands, respectively, thus fulfilling the requirements for both on- and off-body channels simultaneously. This antenna is designed on a multilayer tissue model, and is then validated on the Gustav voxel model. The footprint of the proposed antenna is only 0.18\lambda 0 \times 0.18\lambda 0 \times 0.04\lambda 0 . The proposed design is fabricated and its performance is investigated in various scenarios. When measured on the pork trunk, impedance bandwidths of 2.8% at the lower band and 9.0% at the upper band are achieved, fully covering the two bands. Besides, the transmission performance at the MBAN band is also studied by conducting measurements on the human body, and the measurement results agree well with the simulation. The technology of glass matrix of the composite material manufactured through a sintering process and using waste foundry sand and waste glass as the main raw materials was studied. The effects of technological factors on the performance of this material were studied. The results showed that this composite material is formed with glass as matrix, core particulate as strengthening material, it has the performance of glass and ceramics, and could be used to substitute for stone.

In the present work, we reported the triterpenoids isolated from n -butanol fraction of Kadsura heteroclita which is a Tujia ethnomedicine with trivial name "Xuetong". This effort resulted in the isolation of six unpresented triterpenoids xuetongsu A-F (1 – 6), along with five known triterpenoids (7 – 11). The structures of the reported compounds were established on the 1D, and 2D NMR and HRESIMS spectra, along with CD spectroscopic analysis. Moreover, the absolute stereochemistry of compound 7 was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. Antioxidant and cytotoxic activities were evaluated for all isolated compounds, compound 7 shown weak cytotoxic activity against HL-60 with IC 50 value of 50.0 μM.
