Abstract

As a beloved sport worldwide, dancing is getting integrated into traditional and virtual reality-based gaming platforms nowadays. It opens up new opportunities in the technology-mediated dancing space. These platforms primarily rely on passive and continuous human pose estimation as an input capture mechanism. Existing solutions are mainly based on RGB or RGB-Depth cameras for dance games. The former suffers in low-lighting conditions due to the motion blur and low sensitivity, while the latter is too power-hungry, has a low frame rate, and has limited working distance. With ultra-low latency, energy efficiency, and wide dynamic range characteristics, the event camera is a promising solution to overcome these shortcomings. We propose YeLan, an event camera-based 3-dimensional high-frequency human pose estimation(HPE) system that survives low-lighting conditions and dynamic backgrounds. We collected the world's first event camera dance dataset and developed a fully customizable motion-to-event physics-aware simulator. YeLan outperforms the baseline models in these challenging conditions and demonstrated robustness against different types of clothing, background motion, viewing angle, occlusion, and lighting fluctuations.

Abstract

Integrating perovskite solar cells with crystalline silicon bottom cells in a monolithic two‐terminal tandem configuration enables power conversion efficiency (PCE) surpassing the theoretical limits of single‐junction cells. However, wide bandgap (WBG) perovskite films face challenges related to phase stability and open circuit voltage (VOC) deficit, particularly due to severe non‐radiative recombination at the perovskite/C60 interface. Here, the interfacial defects are passivated by incorporating a reactive passivator that reacts with lead halides to form low‐dimensional phases. The target product obtained by optimizing the reaction temperature not only suppresses recombination across the interface, but also facilitates the transfer of charge carriers. More importantly, this product can suppress phase segregation of WBG perovskite films under exposure to light illumination and moisture. This strategy enables a high VOC of 1.25 V for WBG perovskite device based on polymer hole transport layer and a certified stabilized PCE of 30.52% for a monolithic perovskite/silicon tandem solar cell. The unencapsulated tandem device retains 94% of its initial PCE over 200 h under continuous 1‐sun full spectrum illumination in air, demonstrating the improved phase stability. Abstract

The cerebral vasculature plays a significant role in the development of Alzheimer's disease (AD), however, the specific association between them remains unclear. In this paper, based on the benefits of photoacoustic imaging (PAI), including label-free, high-resolution, in vivo imaging of vessels, we investigated the structural changes of cerebral vascular in wild-type (WT) mice and AD mice at different ages, analyzed the characteristics of the vascular in different brain regions, and correlated vascular characteristics with cognitive behaviors. The results showed that vascular density and vascular branching index in the cortical and frontal regions of both WT and AD mice decreased with age. Meanwhile, vascular lacunarity increased with age, and the changes in vascular structure were more pronounced in AD mice. The trend of vascular dysfunction aligns with the worsening cognitive dysfunction as the disease progresses. Here, we utilized in vivo PAI to analyze the changes in vascular structure during the progression of AD, elucidating the spatial and temporal correlation with cognitive impairment, which will provide more intuitive data for the study of the correlation between cerebrovascular and the development of AD. Phalaenopsis deliciosa (Rchb. f.), an ornamental orchid known for vibrant flowers, has a 148,090 bp chloroplast genome with 36.78% GC content. It includes an 85,241 bp large single-copy (LSC) region, an 11,649 bp small single-copy (SSC) region, and two 13,800 bp inverted repeats (IRs), encoding 122 genes (76 protein-coding, 38 tRNA, and 8 rRNA). Abstract

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a multifaceted autoimmune disorder characterized by dysregulated immune responses and autoantibody production, which affects multiple organs and varies in clinical presentation and disease severity. The development of SLE is intricate, encompassing dysregulation within the immune system, a collapse of immunological tolerance, genetic susceptibilities to the disease, and a variety of environmental factors that can act as triggers. This review provides a comprehensive discussion of the pathogenesis and treatment strategies of SLE and focuses on the progress and status of traditional and emerging treatment strategies for SLE. Traditional treatment strategies for SLE have mainly employed non-specific approaches, including cytotoxic and immunosuppressive drugs, antimalarials, glucocorticoids, and NSAIDs. These strategies are effective in mitigating the effects of the disease, but they are not a complete cure and are often accompanied by adverse reactions. Emerging targeted therapeutic drugs, on the other hand, aim to control and treat SLE by targeting B and T cells, inhibiting their activation and function, as well as the abnormal activation of the immune system. A deeper understanding of the pathogenesis of SLE and the exploration of new targeted treatment strategies are essential to advance the treatment of this complex autoimmune disease.
