Objective of this study was to search for, evaluate, and summarize data related to a faster postoperative recovery in patients with colorectal cancer (CRC) based on literature from China as well as internationally. This will serve as an evidence-based foundation for the clinical implementation of enhanced postoperative recovery of gastrointestinal function in patients with CRC. Methods: Based on the hierarchical " 6S" evidence model, we conducted a systematic search of computerized decision-support systems, guideline websites, as well as domestic and international databases for evidence, guidelines, expert consensus statements, clinical decision-making, best practices, evidence summaries, and systematic reviews of interventions focusing on accelerating gastrointestinal function rehabilitation after CRC surgery. The time limit for the search was from the date of creation of the database to January 2023. Two researchers evaluated the quality of the literature that was included, and we extracted data and summarized the evidence from those publications that fulfilled the quality criteria. Results: The review included a total of 21 publications, comprising 6 guidelines, 6 systematic reviews, 3 expert consensus statements, 4 randomized controlled trials, and 2 evidence summaries. We summarized 51 best evidence findings across five areas: organizational management, preoperative risk assessment, education, intraoperative monitoring, and postoperative management. Conclusion: There is a wide variety and wealth of information available on interventions to promote enhanced postoperative recovery of gastrointestinal function in patients with CRC. In view of problems of separation of drawing and calculation, setting calculation lagging behind change of field power system existed in traditional power supply design system of mining area, the paper proposed a design scheme of power supply design system of mining area based on AutoCAD. The system uses embedded VBA of AutoCAD platform to make secondary development, and compiles program to extend functions of AutoCAD to realize integration of drawing, calculation and file management of power supply design by one software. The actual application showed that the system has characteristics of good interaction, convenient operation and high reliability.

The real-time thermal–mechanical–frictional coupling characteristics of bearings are critical to the accuracy, reliability, and life of entire machines. To obtain the real-time dynamic characteristics of ball bearings, a novel model to calculate point contact dynamic friction in mixed lubrication was firstly presented in this work. The model of time-varying thermal contact resistance under fit between the ring and the ball, between the ring and the housing, and between the ring and the shaft was established using the fractal theory and the heat transfer theory. Furthermore, an inverse thermal network method with time-varying thermal contact resistance was presented. Using these models, the real-time thermal–mechanical–frictional coupling characteristics of ball bearings were obtained. A nonlinear mathematical model was established on electro-hydraulic servo system with stochastic vibration control in order to reproduce reference acceleration power spectrum density (PSD) of 5~500 Hz frequency range accurately. The state dependent riccati equation (SDRE) technology was introduced to acquire system state feedback of variable gain and expand system bandwidth, considering the influence of pressure flow characteristic and servo valve control dead zone. Meanwhile the PSD equalization method was applied to modify the input signal in the frequency domain. According to the analysis in Simulink, the steady fluctuation range of PSD is within ±1 dB. The positioning error of ball screw feed systems is mainly caused by thermal elongation of the screw shaft in machine tools. In this article, an adaptive on-line compensation method of positioning error for the ball screw shaft is established. In order to explore the thermal–solid mechanism of ball screw feed drive systems, the experiments were carried out. An exponential fitting equation is presented to obtain the temperature relationship between the temperature sensitive point and its center of each heat source based on the finite element method of the feed drive system. Consequently, based on time and position exponential distribution functions, a variable separation model of heat transfer is established. Furthermore, based on the heat transfer model of multiple varying and moving heat sources, an adaptive on-line analytical compensation model of positioning error is presented. Finally, the effect of the adaptive on-line analytical compensation model of positioning error is verified through the experiments. And, this model has self-adaptive ability and robustness. Therefore, this adaptive on-line analytical compensation model based on the heat transfer theory can be applied in real-time compensation of positioning error. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

As one of the most aggressive types of tumor, pancreatic cancer is a principal cause of tumor-associated mortality. Negative associations between microRNA-29 (miR-29) and DNA methyltransferases (DNMT) 3a and 3b have been demonstrated to be associated with the carcinogenesis of a number of types of cancer; however, this has not been completely elucidated in pancreatic cancer. In the present study, pancreatic cancer tissues (n=15) and corresponding paracancerous tissues (n=15) were obtained and the results of reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction analysis indicated decreased expression of miR-29b and enhanced mRNA expression of DNMT3b in pancreatic cancer tissues, compared with the corresponding paracancerous tissues. Increased protein expression of DNMT3b was demonstrated by western blotting and immunohistochemistry. In addition, the negative association between miR-29b and DNMT3b was noted in pancreatic cancer tissues, and luciferase reporter assays confirmed that miR-29b was able to directly target DNMT3b in vitro. Notably, miR-29b overexpression was able to decrease cell viability and to promote the apoptosis by targeting DNMT3b, and the knockdown of DNMT3b exhibited consistent results in vitro and in vivo. The results of the present study suggested that miR-29b, as a tumor suppressor, may be a novel target for the development of treatments for pancreatic cancer. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Based on daily precipitation data from 208 weather stations, monthly NCEP/NCAR reanalysis data, and sea surface temperature data reconstructed by NOAA between 1961 and 2012, the heavy winter snow intensity in North-Eastern China was defined; its spatiotemporal variation characteristics were analyzed; the physical mechanisms of the relations between key sea surface temperature (SST) regions and heavy winter snow intensity were studied. Results showed that, in terms of temporal variation characteristics: heavy winter snow intensity in North-Eastern China has been rising, with obvious interdecadal variations during the study interval. In terms of spatial variation characteristics: the first empirical orthogonal function (EOF) mode of the interdecadal component in heavy winter snow intensity showed consistent anomaly characteristics throughout the region; the second mode exhibited opposite variation characteristics between the south and north; and the third mode exhibited opposite variation characteristics between the northwest and southeast. In terms of physical mechanisms underlying the effects of SST on heavy winter snow intensity, the key SST region of the first EOF mode was the Oyashio, the interdecadal component of the autumn Oyashio SST was abnormally high, which corresponded to a higher winter 500 hPa height field in the northern section of the North Pacific. This condition led to a blocking situation and was associated with a weaker East Asian winter monsoon (EAMW), which resulted in a stronger interdecadal component of heavy winter snow intensity and vice versa. The second mode was closely related to the Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO): the interdecadal component of the autumn PDO was abnormal, which induced the teleconnection pattern of the winter Pacific-North America (PNA) pattern. In this paper we give some theoretical analyses and experimental results on synchronization of the two non-identical exciters. Using the average method of modified small parameters, the dimensionless coupling equation of the two exciters is deduced. The synchronization criterion for the two exciters is derived as the torque of frequency capture being equal to or greater than the absolute value of difference between the residual electromagnetic torques of the two motors. The stability criterion of synchronous state is verified to satisfy the Routh-Hurwitz criterion. The regions of implementing synchronization and that of stability of phase difference for the two exciters are manifested by numeric method. Synchronization of the two exciters stems from the coupling dynamic characteristic of the vibrating system having selecting motion, especially, under the condition that the parameters of system are complete symmetry, the torque of frequency capture stemming from the circular motion of the rigid frame drives the phase difference to approach PI and carry out the swing of the rigid frame; that from the swing of the rigid frame forces the phase difference to near zero and achieve the circular motion of the rigid frame. In the steady state, the motion of rigid frame will be one of three types: pure swing, pure circular motion, swing and circular motion coexistence. The numeric and experiment results derived thereof show that the two exciters can operate synchronously as long as the structural parameters of system satisfy the criterion of stability in the regions of frequency capture. In engineering, the distance between the centroid of the rigid frame and the rotational centre of exciter should be as far as possible. To explore the influence of light and temperature factors on the biomass accumulation of winter wheat at its development stages and in different organs, this paper analyzed the variation patterns of the biomass accumulation and the influence of TEP (thermal effectiveness photosynthetically active radiation) on the accumulation at each development stage, based on the observation data from the Xifen Agrometeorological Experiment Station in Gansu Province, including winter wheat phenophase and yield factors in 1981-2008, biomass at three-leaf, over-wintering, jointing, heading, milky maturity, and maturity stages in 1995-2008, and meteorological data in 1995-2008. The biomass accumulation of winter wheat in its whole growth period presented "S" curve, with the maximum value at heading-milky maturity stage. Since 1981, the TEP at heading-milky maturity stage increased with a rate of 3.314 MJ·m-2·a-1, and the TEP at other stages varied as parable curves. The TEP at turning green-jointing and milky maturity-maturity stages had a higher value in the 1990s and a lower value in the 1980s and early 21st century, while that at jointing-heading stage had a lower value in the 1990s but a higher value in the 1980s and early 21st century. There was a significant correlation between the TEP at each development stage and the actual yield. The LAI (leaf area index) at each development stage also had a significant correlation with the utilization rate of TEP at corresponding stage. When the LAI at jointing and heading stages was increased by 1, the utilization rate of TEP was correspondingly increased by 0.049 and 0.259 g·MJ-1, respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Kawasaki disease (KD) is associated with coronary artery injury. Studies have shown that the endothelial progenitor cell (EPC) participates in the process of arterial repair. Data have been reported that the number of EPC increased significantly in the subacute phase of KD. However, until now, there are no data about the functions of EPC in KD patients. The present study was designed to further investigate the number and functions of EPC in KD. Ten KD patients in the acute phase and ten healthy volunteers were recruited and attributed to the KD group and control group, respectively. The circulating CD34/kinase insert domain-containing receptor double positive cells were evaluated in the two groups using flow cytometry. In vitro assays were used to measure the functions of EPC, including proliferation, adhesion, and migration activities. The plasma levels of nitric oxide (NO), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), and high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) were also assessed in both groups. The number of EPC in the KD group was significantly higher than that of the control group (0.021 ± 0.007% vs. 0.014 ± 0.003%, P < 0.05). The migratory response of EPC was significantly decreased in the KD group, compared with that of the control group (5.50 ± 1.78 vs. 3.40 ± 1.35 cells/high power field, P < 0.01). Similarly, the proliferative and adhesive activities of EPC in the KD group were also decreased (0.47 ± 0.08 vs. 0.66 ± 0.07, P < 0.01; 6.5 ± 2.12 vs. 11.2 ± 2.04 cells/high power field, P < 0.01). The plasma NO, TNF-α, and hs-CRP levels in the KD group were higher than those of the control group (54.10 ± 11.78 vs. 38.80 ± 11.10 μmol/l, P < 0.01; 48.20 ± 7.42 vs. 37.00 ± 11.12 pg/ml, P < 0.05; 87.10 ± 30.18 vs. 5.30 ± 3.37 mg/l, P < 0.01). The number of circulating EPC positively correlated with the level of NO ( r = 0.92, P < 0.001), and the functions of EPC negatively correlated with the levels of TNF-α and hs-CRP, respectively. In Kawasaki disease, the number of EPC was enhanced and the functions of EPC were attenuated. The two-way regulation of circulating EPC in KD patients may be associated with the disorders of cytokines or messengers in KD patients. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract: An unprecedented linear supramolecular manganese(III)-lithium(I) coordination polymer, [MnIIIL(OH)2LiI] n , has been prepared and structurally characterized. The polymer is a one-dimensional infinite Mn(III)–O–Li(I) chain supramolecular structure formed by intermolecular O–H···O and O–H···Cl hydrogen bonds and π–π stacking of neighboring benzene rings. Abstract: Four supramolecular complexes [MnL1(H2O)2] (1), {[CoL2(OAc)(H2O)]2Co}·5CH3CH2OH (2), {[NiL3(OAc)(CH3OH)]2Ni}·2CH3COCH3·2CH3OH (3) and {[ZnL2(OAc)]2Zn}·CHCl3 (4), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, UV–Vis spectra and X-ray diffraction techniques. All the complexes have the trinuclear configuration except for MnII complex being mononuclear configuration. Every trinuclear complex contains two acetate ions coordinate to the three metal ions via a familiar M–O–C–O–M (M=Co, Ni, Zn) coordinated mode. Although complexes 1 and 3 display 1D supramolecular chains, the different coordination environments (mononuclear in 1, trinuclear in 3) provoke divergence in the structures and aggregations of the chain subunits. Complex 2 forms a 3D hydrogen-bonding supramolecular networks possessing a channel composing of six O–H···O hydrogen bonds, while complex 4 exhibits a 2D hydrogen-bonding supramolecular networks with the formation of “grottos” occupied by chloroform molecules through intermolecular hydrogen-bond interactions. Based on the daily precipitation data from 208 meteorological stations in Northeast China, NCEP/NCAR reanalysis monthly mean wind, sea level pressure data and NOAA reconstructed monthly mean sea surface temperature (SST) data from 1961 to 2013, the contribution rate of heavy rainfall to the total rainfall (hereafter referred to as “heavy rainfall contribution rate” or HRCR) during the rainy season in Northeast China was investigated. The changing characteristics of HRCR in the context of global warming are analyzed. The relationship between the HRCR and the contemporaneous atmospheric general circulation and early SST anomaly was analyzed to understand the possible physical mechanism responsible for the changing HRCR before and after the warming. Results show that during the whole study period (1961–2013), no evident trend in the HRCR has been detected. However, during cold period (1961–1979), the HRCR showed a significantly declining trend, while during warm period (1981–2013), the HRCR does not exhibit any trend. During cold period, the anomalous North Pacific summer monsoon and March North Atlantic tripole SSTA are the main factors affecting the HRCR, while the West Pacific summer monsoon, the East Asian subtropical westerly jet and March North Pacific dipole SSTA are responsible for the HRCR in the warm period. In the cold period, due to the air-sea interaction, March Atlantic tripole SSTA can influence the North Pacific summer monsoon in the late July–August, in turn affecting the HRCR. In the warm period, March North Pacific dipole SSTA tends to cause anomalies in the West Pacific summer monsoon and the position of the East Asian subtropical westerly jet axis in the July–August through air-sea interaction, thereby affecting the HRCR. During 1961–1979, the weakening of the North Pacific summer monsoon might have been the primary cause of the significant decline in the trend of the HRCR in the cold period. In 1981–2013, the absence of significant trends of the West Pacific summer monsoon and subtropical westerly jet position might be the main reason for the lack of an obvious linear trend of HRCR in the warm period.
