2017年10月、長野県内にある入浴施設の露天風呂浴槽水から、Legionella pneumophila 血清群4（SG4）が検出された。この施設は、入浴施設と異なる場所にある源泉から温泉水をタンクローリー車で移送し、浴用として使用していたことが特徴的であった。浴槽水の汚染源および汚染経路を明らかにするため、L. pneumophila の分離を試みたところ、源泉の温泉水をタンクローリー車へ注入するホース外側表面、タンクローリー車タンク内部および入浴施設側温泉水受入タンク貯留水からL. pneumophila SG4 が検出された。分離菌株のパルスフィールドゲル電気泳動法による泳動パターンは一致しなかったものの、源泉の温泉水を注入するホースの外側表面に付着した本菌が、露天風呂浴槽水の汚染源になり得ることを示した。なお、本研究は、タンクローリー車のタンク内がL. pneumophila の汚染源になる可能性をわが国で初めて報告するものである。, Article, 信州公衆衛生雑誌 13(2): 73-80(2019)

金鱗湖には温泉水が流入し,水温が年中約30℃に保たれている場所がある。そこに生息するオイカワ(Zacco platypus)と年間を通して水温が変化する大分県内の河川に生息する個体の形態学特徴を調べた。雄性個体の性成熟を示す婚姻色や追星の発現が,大分県内の河川では体長106mm以上で現れるのに対し,金鱗湖ではより小型(体長 100mm 以下)の個体にも見られた。鱗隆起線間隔では有為な差は見られなかったが,金鱗湖の個体に均一な鱗隆起線間隔を持つ鱗が多く観察された。これらのことから,暖かく変化の少ない水域に生息するオイカワは,成長が一定で,早期に性成熟を示すことが示唆された。### Morphological characteristics ware investigated in Zacco platypus collected from the Lake Kinrin where was kept at about 30℃ flowing hot spring water, compared from the individuals from the other rivers in the Oita Prefecture. Mature males from the Lake Kinrin were seen at less than 100mm in body length. On the other hand, mature males from the other rivers were recognized at more than 106mm in body length. Distance between circuli was constant in some cyprinids from the Lake Kinrin. It suggested that individuals growing up at warm water condition in the Lake Kinrin were shown early maturation.

The ^Sr/^Sr ratio, Rb and Sr concentrations were determined in geothermal waters obtained from Deyu, Murasugi, Matsunoyama, Ryugakubo, Matsushiro and Otari hot springs. The Sr isotopic ratios of these geothermal waters are within the range 0.7046-0.7075. The soluble Sr in geothermal waters from Matsunoyama and Matsushiro hot springs are derived from fossil sea water and host rocks. In Deyu, Murasugi and Otari hot springs, Sr in respective host rocks (especially plagioclase) are dissolved in meteoric geothermal waters.

対策を採っても後の絶つことのないレジオネラ症に対して、快適性の向上を目指して、人に対する安全と衛生の確保について多角的に研究した。第1章では、入浴施設での安全・衛生と快適性に関する経緯・動向と課題について述べた。入浴施設でのレジオネラ症集団発生前後の法令、条例と行政の指導を調査した。これらの課題について言及すると共に、今後の衛生行政の在り方を考えた。この他、海外の基準等にも触れた。第2章では、入浴施設の実態調査から見る課題について述べた。2004年度と05年度に実施した社会福祉施設の実態調査を踏まえて、課題と今後の在り方等について触れた。塩素濃度の保持時間の国の基準は、2000年だと｢1日2時間｣であったが、02年に｢通常｣と変更になった。この変更の裏付けとなった行政調査と報告も詳述した。第3章では、浴槽での消毒剤の濃度管理による安全性と快適性について述べた。レジオネラ症の防止には、塩素濃度の保持が不可欠である。有効に殺菌するためには、塩素濃度の中でも遊離塩素濃度を正確に測定できることが重要である。しかし飲料水の遊離塩素濃度測定の基準はあっても、有機物を多く含む浴槽水の測定方法は確立されていなかった。そこで浴槽水の遊離残留塩素濃度の測定には、SBT試薬の方が適していることの論証を行った。また温泉水の殺菌に有効な二酸化塩素の濃度測定方法についても検証した。この他、浴槽水での塩素濃度の時系列変化、浴槽内での塩素濃度の分布等の実態調査結果から、快適性をできるだけ損なうことなく安全と衛生を保持するための塩素濃度管理の課題等を述べた。第4章では、入浴等による消毒剤の消失と入浴による汚濁について述べた。消毒剤の消失の中で、ヒトの入浴や気泡浴・超音波浴、ろ過器通過時によるものの実験して、解析して定量化をはかった。また入浴による消毒剤の消失実験に併せて、浴槽水の汚濁も同時に測定した。入浴環境の快適性を向上させるための浴槽水の必要換水量などについても述べた。第5章では、温泉の消毒と快適性について述べた。温泉の泉質の違いによって、適応する消毒剤が異なることが認められた。泉質にあった消毒剤を選定することは、温泉泉質の変化も少ないために、本来、温泉水の持つ「癒し」にとっても大切である。実際に温泉水に消毒剤を添加して、消毒剤の残留率の実験やレジオネラ属菌の不活化の実験を行ったので、結果と考察を述べた。, In the previous research, the principal objective of research on Legionnaires' disease prevention in engineering field was the securing of safety and sanitation. This research added the new point of view, the improvement of the comfort, to the maintenance of safety and sanitation. Chapter 1 is the result of investigation of laws, regulations and administrative direction after large break of Legionnaires' disease at public bathing facilities. In addition to this, it studied the difference of standard between Europe and the United States and Japan, and the backgrounds and main points of "Guideline for the Countermeasure to Legionella in the Bath Facilities" by The Society of Heating, Air-Conditioning and Sanitary Engineering of Japan. Chapter 2 presented the result of actual condition survey at social welfare facility bath, its analysis and problems to be solved. Additionally, it was examined in detail the official survey which led to change Minister for Health and Welfare criteria as to the length of time to maintain concentration of free chlorine in the bath water from "two hours a day" to "all the time". Chapter 3 is the scientific statement about the accurate on-site absorptiometric method to measure the concentration level of free chlorine and chlorine dioxide in bath water. And, Chapter 3 included field survey of water contamination, changes of free chlorine concentration, time series variation and distribution of bacteria like Lesionella at social welfare facilities, and its analysis. This survey was done because the management of residual disinfectant concentration in circulation type bath is very important as countermeasure against Legionnaires' disease. Chapter 4 described the changes of water quality and free residual chlorine concentration after bathing at laboratory experiment. It also considered necessary quantity of exchange water to maintain the bathwater quality. Chapter 5 described the disinfection of hot spring water and comfort. And, it examined the characteristic of disinfection consumption and the inactivation of Legionella by the difference of a hot spring water quality. Since the spring water contains much dissolved matter and various components, it is necessary to examine the disinfection method appropriate to each nature of spring as sanitary management technique when spring water is utilized as bath water.
