白山火山付近において，2005 年1年間に4回の顕著な群発地震が発生した。いずれの群発地震活動も，震源が非常に浅く，また火口を取り巻く，ごく狭い地域の異なった場所で発生した。期間中の最大Mは4.2 (2005 年10 月3日)であった。2003 年に大白川観測点（白山東麓）を設置して以来，同観測点のモニター記録から，浅い群発地震活動が非常に活発であることが明らかであり，白山火山の火山活動を注意深く監視する必要がある。, Four earthquake swarm activities occurred in the Hakusan Volcano area in 2005. The maximum event of M4.2 occurred in October. The hypocenters of the earthquake swarms are very shallow as less than 5km and very close to the summit of the volcano but locations of the swarms are different with each other. The seismicity in the volcano area has been high since 2003, therefore, a careful monitoring of volcanic activity is necessary for the Hakusan Volcano.

跡津川断層の西半分に発生する微小地震活動の特徴が，臨時観測網，Hi-net 観測網の展開による非常に高精度のデータによって明らかになっている。しかし，断層東部では地形的な問題，観測条件等が問題となり，観測網の空白地帯であった。我々は，関係機関の協力により，立山カルデラで現地収録による臨時観測を行った。その結果，従来跡津川断層の活動によると考えられていた活動が，茂住―祐延断層の活動による可能性が考えられる。また，深さは，跡津川断層系の活動と飛騨山脈の活動に明らかな違いが見られ，跡津川断層系の東端を示唆しているのかもしれない。, Temporary observations of earthquakes have been carried out in the Tateyama Caldera from 2002 during summer seasons. This observations are aiming at revealing the detailed hypocenter distribution of earthquakes at the end of the Atotsugawa fault system and as well as surveying the seismicity in the Tateyama volcano area. Continuous observations of earthquakes have been done by deploying four individual high-gain stations. The data of the stations have been analyzed with routine observation station network data. The observation periods were limited only 3-4 months during summer because of the difficult accessibility by heavy snow fall. Preliminary results, however, show that seismicity is relatively low in the middle of the caldera and that many micro-earthquakes occur in the rim of the caldera. Focal depths on the east of caldera are less than 5km and significantly shallower than those of 10km in the Atotsugawa fault system on the west of the caldera. This suggests that the Atotsugawa fault system end at the west of the Tateyama volcano region. Besides, in detailed, the earthquakes in the eastern end of the Atotsugawa fault system seem to occur on the Mosumi-Sukenobu fault not on the Atotsugawa fault.

福井県及び周辺では，明瞭な活断層の存在とそれに沿って認められる微小地震の活動の存在が指摘されてきた。特に嶺北地方では，福井地震断層に沿う活動（余震）が顕著である。2004年の10月5日に発生した地震（M4.8, JMA）は，福井地震断層の延長付近で発生し，2000年12月より地震活動の空白域を形成していたことが分かった。メカニズム，余震の並び（MJHDによる再決定）に対応するリニアメントはなく，少し離れた所にある温見断層が同じ走向であると推定される。池田町，及び周辺（嶺北）では，2003年の10月付近より地震発生数の減少が認められ，2004年の6月までは引き続き傾向が認められた。本地震との関連解明までは至らなかったが，継続して検討中である。, An earthquake with magnitude 4.8 (JMA) occurred at Ikeda town in Fukui prefecture on Oct. 5, in 2004. Hokuriku Observatory has monitored the seismicity in and around the Fukui prefecture. We recognized the seismic gap before occurrence of this earthquake at Ikeda town. This gap appeared from December, 2000. No lineament of active fault at surface corresponds to the focal fault. The cumulative number of earthquakes at Reihoku district shows the decrease from last 2003. We are researching the cause of this phenomenon.

丹波山地は定常的にの地震活動の活発な地域である。兵庫県南部地震地震に誘発される形で近年活発であった丹波山地の微小地震活動は、2003年1月末頃からそれまでの6～7割に突然低下し、その後も低いレートを維持している。静穏化が顕著なのは京都府中部から琵琶湖西岸にかけての地域で、その周辺部では顕著な活動変化は見られない。丹波山地では、1995年兵庫県南部地震前やM4～5の中規模地震前に、微小地震活動が静穏化した例が知られている。, Since beginning of 2003, micro-earthquake activity in the Tamba Plateau, Central Japan, have been lowered. This seismic quiecence is similar to that before the 1995 Hyogo-ken Nanbu earthquake and some moderate-size earthquakes in the Tamba region.

兵庫県南部地震(1995, M7.3)の発生以降福井県周辺での地震活動は, 特に2000年付近を境に活動的になった。本稿は, 2001年以降の地震活動に注目し, 福井県嶺北地方周辺の地震活動の特徴を明らかにしたものである。嶺北地方に着目したのは, 顕著である福井地震の余震活動とは別に期間中いくつかの目立った活動が認められ, その活動域が限られた場所で発生していたからである。それらの活動は, 福井地震断層の走向とは別の地震活動の並びの方向を持つように思われた。また, 活動の中の顕著な地震のメカニズムも, 並び方向を支持する解を持つことが分かった。さらに, 2003年の終わりより, 地震の発生数の減少を示すような傾向が認められるようになった。嶺北地方において, 起震応力になんらかの変化がおこっている可能性がある。, For seismicity of Hokuriku region, Hokuriku Observatory, Disaster Prevention ResearchInstitute, Kyoto University has researched in detail. We recognized the several small earthquakes atReihoku region in Fukui Prefecture recently. These were not occurred at active fault. The areas ofthose earthquakes were a little away from active faults. Mechanisms of those earthquakes were notcoinciding with the azimuths of the active faults. These phenomena mean that the stress field atReihoku region maybe varying.

1998年8月から始まった飛騨山脈・上高地付近の地震活動は約1年6ヶ月程度継続し, この地域において地震観測が始まってから, 規模(荏5.4)及び期間ともに最大の活動であった。この一連の活動は, 活動初期には飛騨山脈北部全域で活発な活動を示していたが, 1999年にはいってからは, 上高地, 穂高岳付近で活動が短期間に集中して発生する状態に変化したことがわかった。この群発地震活動が周辺域の地震活動域に及ぼした影響について調べた結果, 隣接する長野県中部地域において活動が活発化したことが明らかになった。また, 跡津川断層に沿う活動についても調べたが, 断層西部において活動の低下がみられた。このことは, 群発地震によって応力状態が変化したためと考えられる。, Earthquake swarms in the Hida mountain range started in August, 1998, continued about one and half years and are the largest swarm activities in size (the largest magnitude of 5.4) and in duration time since the micro-earthquake observation started in 1977.More than 9, 200 events have been located by the Kamitakara Observatory during 1.5years. Main activity expanded from south to north along the Hida mountain range in the first month and the activity decreased until February, 1999, after that a new stage of swarm activities began.The influence of the swarms to the seismic activity in the surrounding areas were examined from the frequency of events. The swarm activities did not have an effect on the seismic activity in the southern part of the Hida mountain range, where activities were often changed by the activities in adjacent areas. Seismic activity in the central Nagano Prefecture increased after the Hida Mountain swarm. As for the seismicity along Atotsugawa fault, weak decrease of the activity is seen for three month before the earthquake swarm.

西表島における群発地震は1991年1月に始まり, 4月には一時終息した.しかし, 1992年8月に再び活発化し, 約半年間活発な活動が続いた.その後は震源域が拡大し, 島の周辺における海域での断続的な活動が1994年末まで継続した.これらの活動を島内における強震計及び高感度地震計によって観測し, 震源の移動を詳細に調査した.その結果, 当初島内の北東部に発生した地震は, 面上の分布を示し, 陸域ではその傾きは南西方向, 海域では北東方向と異なっていることがわかった.地震はこの面の方向に内陸に向けて最初に拡大し, 後に広範囲に広がった.地震の深さは13kmまで, 6ー11kmに集中している.地震の波形には地殻中部からの反射面と思われる反射波が観測されたが, 火山性微動など火山活動を示すものはなかった., Earthquake swarm activity occurred in and around hiomote Island during January to April in 1991. The activity once subsided in April 1991 but reactivated in August 1992 and it continued until the end of 1994. The activity was monitored with strong motion seismographs and high-gain seismographs after the 1992 earthquake swarm activity on the island. Eight to ten stations were opemted on the island and many hypocenters were located. Heavy swarm activity in 1992 ended after a half year. The activity, however, continued intermittently in broad areas in and around Iriomote Island.The swarm, in the beginning. Concentruted on a plane trending toward the northwest-southeast direction, which is well coincided with the active faults and lineaments on the island. The plane dips towards southwest in the land area, while towards northeast in the sea. The swarm first extended towards the inland direction and after that to broad areas of the island. The depths of the earthquakes are shallow, less than 15km deep, concentmting at the depths of 6-11km. Clear wave form in the later phases, supposed to be reflected waves from the middle crust, were recorded, but no direct evidence of volcanic activity such as tremors was observed during the swann activity.
