Abstract

The article focuses on the Get It Now, a document delivery service, of the Copyright Clearance Center which allows the purchase of research articles via open URL (uniform resource locator). It discusses the Ex Libris SFX service for library and library users. It highlights the issue of serials subscription costs and access to library materials which can be resolved by migrating individual subscriptions from print to online publication and implementing a document delivery service for articles.
