The article presents an examination of those living in the Baltic region who support political parties with an environmental agenda in an attempt to explain the decline in general interest in green movement politics and activism during the mid-1990s. Environmental attitudes of 'Green' voters and members of conservation organizations are studied to account for the sudden reduction in the number of Baltic environmental organizations following independence from the Soviet Union. The disappearance of elected green parties from Baltic parliaments by the end of the 1990s is discussed.
