Abstract

The photocycle of the AppA BLUF domain by ultrafast fluorescence, femtosecond transient absorption, and nanosecond flash-photolysis spectroscopy is investigated. Time-resolved fluorescence experiments have shown that the decay of excited AppA-bound flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) is highly multiexponential.
