Abstract

The effectiveness of two lifestyle modification programs of exercise training and nutritional intake on improving body composition and disease risk in overweight/obese men and women is studied. Results of the study reveal the 12 weeks of combined high-intensity resistance and cardiovascular training and balanced macronutrient intake significantly more than a program of moderate-intensity cardiovascular exercise training and the traditional food guide pyramid diet in overweight and obese women.
