Abstract

This article discusses the role of pulmonary function tests (PFTs) in the management of pulmonary hypertension (PH). PFTs are important in diagnosing PH and assessing its severity and prognosis. The article presents a case study of a young woman with idiopathic pulmonary arterial hypertension (IPAH) and describes the changes in her PFT results over time. It also explores the potential mechanisms underlying lung function disturbances in PH. The article emphasizes the value of PFTs in monitoring PH and improving treatment approaches.
